Guest Reviews
- Robert (10/5): - Large pool, large rooms, amazing outdoor showers.
- Faaleava (10/5): - Amazing everything 10/10
- Fonofili (10/5): - Spacious clean rooms. Staff were wonderful. Grounds are well maintained. Food and drinks were great. Absolutely loved our stay and will stay again in a heartbeat
- Elisapeta (10/5): - The room was very clean and spacious. The staff was amazing and friendly very helpful which made our stay wonderful. I especially loved the outside shower and that the beach had a pier that we could jump off of. The resort was overall excellent I would stay there again
- Corinne (8/5): - Clean room; outdoor shower;
Cabins have steps from one level to the next - needed light on at night if moving from lower level to the bathroom with more steps down to bathroom floor
- Alice (10/5): - The staff were fantastic!!!
- Jonathan (10/5): - Josevata in particular provided us a service that was second to none. Josevata's service was a unique combination of professional yet authentic and relaxed. Further, he gave us interspective insights about Samoa and also his own culture. Give my brother a pay rise ASAP. One small negative - portion sizes at the restaurant were quite small given the pricing.
- Henry (10/5): - We loved the property and the friendly helpful staff. We also loved swimming in the aqua blue ocean just across the road and relaxing on the lie-lows provided.
- Donna (10/5): - The new boardwalk ou to the ocean was a real treat- additionally, since you built the jetty, the number of fish we saw while snorkeling has doubled since our last visit to Amos two years ago. I want to give a social shout-out to Ida and Pito who were so wonderful in arranging our additional stay. They should be commended for their professionalism and friendliness. LOVE THE SHOW TOO
- Chelsea (10/5): - Great beach access. Lovely pier to jump off.
- Sue (8/5): - The staff were lovely and friendly and the dining staff very attentive, the rooms facilities were generally good with a fantastic outdoor shower, good mosquito protection and excellent air-conditioning. The pool was lovely and clean and the private beach across the road for kayaking and snorkeling was amazing. Improvements to small things like keeping the fridge stocked with water and providing enough towels for the number of guests. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I would definitely recommend Amoa resort Savaii
- Antonina (10/5): - Everything was perfect. Adding and extra person was no problem. Great service.
- Richard (10/5): - Fulfilled all my request
- Brian (10/5): Beautiful view! Private Fale! Really good food! - We loved staying in our own little fale! It was comfortable and private! The views at the beach across the street were so stunning! They have a walk out pier with the perfect view! It’s a relaxing environment and everyone is so friendly and kind! You can swim at the pool or the beach! We’ll definitely stay here the next time we come to Savaii! We ate dinner there once and it was our favorite meal in the week we were in Samoa.
- Rosie (8/5): - Lovely setting and staff and very helpful. Rooms (cabins) separate from eachother so very private and quiet. Loved the outdoor hot shower! Some variation to the menu would be good as by the 3rd of our 4th nights, we would have liked some different choices.
- Andrew (10/5): - We liked the room and the location out the front with the beautiful water was amazing.
Staff were great also.
- Barry (10/5): - A great resort
- Lau (6/5): - Loved the staff f
- Askar (8/5): - The resort has a lovely ambience with friendly staff. Lovely dining area and pool. Easy access across the road to the snorkeling area with well laid out facilities around it to relax
The room was nice but there is no phone (to call reception for example)
No power points in the bathroom
No stand or niche to place soap/shampoo etc when you have shower in the outdoor bathroom
Major disadvantage was there was no WiFi
- Julie (10/5): - Absolutely a Resort, love the rooms, so spacious.
- Ilana (10/5): - Lovely quaint hotel with traditional rooms. Nice food although can get repetitive if there for a few days.
Beautiful beach and kayaking accross the road.
- ELIZABETH (10/5): - A lovely place to stay with friendly staff, spacious rooms, outdoor shower, quiet and relaxing. We did a full day and half day tour which showed us all the sights of Savaii. We enjoyed kayaking, snorkelling and during our stay we were treated to some great entertainment.
- Robert (10/5): - Beautiful bungalows with great outdoor shower.Well maintained property with good facilities and beach access. Food quality and range not what you would expect from a hotel of this standard and price range though
- Katrina (10/5): - While the property itself is beautiful, with a large open dining area, lovely sized pool, older style but well maintained studio villas and across the road a safe swimming lagoon area, relaxing day beds and an amazing area that protrudes up high into the water, where you had have drinks and food delivered, it is the staff at Amoa that are truly fantastic. They are professional, friendly, attentive and a pleasure to engage with. Thankk you for a wonderful overnight stay, next time we will stay longer.
- Stuart (10/5): - Great location and very nice resort. Very friendly staff (same every where in Samoa). great location to relax away from crowds either by the pool or beach. Cool dive platform into the ocean. Only negative : ROOSTERS!
- Kevin (8/5): - Relaxing stay, option of pool or lagoon swimming
- Lisa (10/5): - The facilities may be on the basic side at Amoa but the people abd service more than compensate for all of that. We had the most lovely relaxing stay here. The swimming out the front is superb and the water the most stunning I've seen. Your stay is made so personal, it's much nicer than a large hotel where you are just a number. Would recommend it for anyone wanting an authentic Samoan stay. Talofa Amoa.
- Bret (8/5): - For a hotel in this price range, having no Internet in the guest rooms is inexcusable. Also, there are steps within some of the guest rooms, which may be difficult for some guests. The restaurant is very good, but the breakfast buffet is mediocre. Bear in mind, the property straddles, a main road. The guest rooms, restaurant, and swimming pool are on one side, and the ocean is on the other. There is no beach, no sand, just lots of rocks, so the water is inaccessible. Nonetheless, this is undoubtedly the best accommodation on the island, even though some other hotels have sandy beaches.
- Falevai (10/5): - Beautiful!
- Avaoia (10/5): - I loved how the room was clean and spacious even for two. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of dishes. Staff were friendly and polite and helpful.
- Jonathan (10/5): Beautiful and peaceful - The hotel, the grounds and the pool are wonderful. The hotel isn't on the beach but it has it's own private lagoon with a small sea wall on the other side of the road and the kayaks there are free to use. The staff are super friendly and we had an amazing two days where we visited the lava fields and blow holes.
- Sophia (10/5): - We loved our stay at Amoa Resort! The staff were warm and accommodating, and they always had a table ready for our large group at breakfast and dinner. Seafood/Fish served at dinner was really good and fresh. The rooms were clean, and we enjoyed the outdoor showers after a day of exploring.
A highlight was the lei-making activity—staff even went out of their way to gather flowers so our nieces could join in.
The only small downside was the WiFi, which only worked well in the lobby and public areas. Otherwise, everything was fantastic—we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!
- Petelo (10/5): - Very friendly staff and great location.
- John (10/5): - A beautiful resort with amazing staff. Really enjoyed our stay
- Diane (10/5): - Love this hotel!
- Irene (10/5): - Best customer service
- Manuel (10/5): - The beach at this resort was amazing, rooms a very spacious. The jumping platform on the beach is every kids dream..will definitely be back
- LeNora (8/5): - Beautiful family resort. WIFI not effective /working in the rooms at the back but thats a minor oversight but would be helpful to have an information leaflet at reception to advise client's about services provided etc laundry, no phones in room but extn is xxx, towels for pools, expectations for the use of the beach... small admin info otherwise will be recommending this resort to friends and family...also can you consider a ramp to the pool please... lots of access but all are stairs... just need one 😬🙏👍
- Sina (10/5): - We booked a double room with two queen beds and it was absolutely spacious and very clean Loved the open shower, air con and fan that kept the room cool as it was very hot outside.
Food was delicous loved the fresh fruit for breakfast.
- Masina (8/5): - Loved everything about Amoa from being greeted at the door on arrival, to the friendly, helpful and approachable staff. Our villa was clean and spacious for our family of 5.
Our children loved it and wanted to stay longer.
Will definitely come back and will be recommending to our family and friends.
- Sefulu (10/5): - beautiful, spaces and clean
- michael (8/5): - Very friendly staff . Well kept gardens. Clean rooms.
Average menu. Meals were overpriced.
No local restaurants.
Rooms didnt have a phone so had to go to the reception if you needed anything .
- Tasi (8/5): - Towels and pillowcases were still damp The pizza we ordered on the first night was cold when it was delivered to our room. Other than that we had an awesome experience as always at Amoa.
- D (10/5): Excellent Service - The Resort was beautiful comfortable bed bathroom was good especially the shower, being outside best part of the Hotel.
Thank you to the lovely staff for their beautiful service kindness and hospitality. My family and I enjoyed our time at the Amoa Resort.
- Petia (8/5): - While nice the floor plans are not elderly and handicapped friendly, too many steps. No choices of breads except white bread. Nothing for vegan. Different people give different prices for tours. Not well organized
- Gloria (10/5): - The staff are what make a difference here. I know they don’t get paid to babysit, but on several occasions they would offer to take baby off me so I could enjoy dinner and drinks with my family. In the rain they were quick to offer an umbrella and even help with options for sightseeing on a rainy day to accommodate our kids. Appreciate the love and care taken to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
- Hope (10/5): - Staff were sooooo lovely! My 2nd time back here and the service has always been the same.
The only thing I would say about the property is that there are no phone lines in the rooms and no information booklets but the staff are so friendly and always willing to help so wasn’t really an issue for us. Will be coming back again every year.
- Trisha (10/5): - Picture perfect the photos dont do it justice.
All staff including security were very friendly.
Highly recommend
- Jane (6/5): - Didn’t like how our room had no service, couldn’t use our data and there was a charge for wifi.
We ended up getting free wifi vouchers after I complained and still no service.
Had to go outside to the main areas to use phones.
Didn’t like how shower was outside, not convenient for kids and elderly parents.
- Lannie (10/5): - Beautiful resort with friendly customer service.
- Leinani (10/5): - Peaceful restful atmosphere, lovely caring staff, absolutely stunning setting - emerald green sea to swim in!
- Mark (10/5): - Wow! Loved our brief stay at Amoa Resort. Friendly staff, clean, lovely Fale. Very good food choices. Impressive pier across from the property. We will be back and with a longer stay!
- Tiffany (10/5): - Fantastic garden room to suit 4. Great value. Lovely pòol and delicious cocktails to enjoy by it!
Friendly and helpful staff. We really enjoyed some of the traditional breakfast foods.
Loved our tour day Koki and Moi. Their knowledge was impressive and sense if fun was infectious. We so enjoyed ourselves!
- Lili (6/5): - Rooms were comfortable, just pools were dirty and restaurant didn't have much healthy options
- pago (10/5): - Everything I love the staff, very friendly and the waiters and waitresses I missed them. I loved my room, I enjoyed the pool and also the walking distance to the water, I enjoyed walking to the from to catch the sunrise, also enjoyed lounging under the coconut tree and getting in the water. Overall I loved everything Amoa Resort
I can’t wait to come back
Pago Segi
- Jonelle (8/5): - Nice and cosy spot for me and my family. Loved our room, shower outside was my favourite of all. Walk to beach across the road is lovely, easy access to the beach (however not as sandy as what the pictures show).
The one downside would be the food. I ordered the fettuccine chicken. It was very tasteless, the sauce was pulled between the cheese and the chicken, which made the chicken soggy and the cheese was almost still hard and whole. The breakfast could’ve been better, cereal and fruit was okay, but considering other places I have stayed that were cheaper, gave the full breakfast experience (bacon and eggs and hot meals).
Over all, loved the spot. Highly recommend
- Paki (10/5): - We loved our stay at Amos Resort. Really kids friendly.
- Marcello (10/5): - Good
- kellie (8/5): - We had a wonderful stay. Loved the overwater restaurant . The staff were fantastic. Loved all the singing and friendlyness
- Lipena (10/5): - One of our favourite hotels during our stay in samoa it is a pity we only stayed 2 nights.
Highlights was the beach opposite, the pool and the outdoor showers. The room was spacious and clean for our family of 4.
Only things could be that the Beds were a little hard so was a little uncomfortable.
The staff were so accomodating and helpful. Always willing to answer or help with bags etc, even leaving an umbrella outside our door one morning coz it was raining for us to come to breakfast.
Beautiful stay in a beautiful resort we loved it
- Elaine (10/5): - They staff and facilities were great. Recommend the tour too
- Verified traveler (8/5): Beautiful resort in Savai’i - This peaceful resort is located right by the beautiful turquoise colour ocean. We stayed at a poolside villa and it was very quiet, except for the roosters in the morning! We left Apia to catch a ferry. Although it was a long day, the trip was worth it. The only thing we didn’t like about the room was that there was a dead cockroach in the closet. Next day it was still there after the room was cleaned. Instead of removing the dead cockroach, the cleaner took all of our water bottles. We needed them to refill our drinking water and they weren’t even empty. It was strange. Other than that one minor incident, we loved it there.
- Grace (10/5): - The staff are amazing and the facilities immaculate. We will be back again to enjoy their hospitality and lemon grass tea
- Kat (8/5): - It’s a great getaway the property is beautiful
- Janette Lam (10/5): - The staff were so helpful and helped us plan our day out. They also had the best shopping store!
- Nicole (8/5): - Lovely staff and good entertainment at meals
- Matthew (10/5): - Pool was great, rooms big, comfy and spotless, amazing shower, breakfast ok
- Rebecca (8/5): - The rooms are clean and tidy. The showers were amazing and were outdoors and feel very tropical. There’s a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. A good pool. The restaurant was lovely and food was delicious. Across the road is a beach with an area to snorkel. There are a few loungers. There are also some picnic tables. Really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend.
- Lauren (10/5): - Lovely property, across the road from the beach. Very helpful and friendly staff
- Neil (8/5): - A nice place with nice staff. Not much to do so perfect for reading and relaxing. The love music and food was awesome
- Lloyd (10/5): - .Excellent service and great food
- Mark (8/5): - Quiet and relaxing little resort. Great for just chilling out. The staff were very helpful with organising transport and tours around Savai'i.
- DENNIE (8/5): - The rooms are absolutely exquisite, spacious, comfortable, large, well appointed facilities.
The only thing we think was average was the food, especially for the higher prices. And pancakes with lettuce in them is a little bizarre and not traditional Samoan style. The staff service was excellent, so too the cleanliness of the property and property location.
- Llewellyn (8/5): - Good overall. Room really needed more cleaning, bird poo all over the window sill was not nice to see. Our second night was terrible due to loud bass and music from the dinner area which extended to 22:10 before we could get sleep. The neighbours were also very noisy sadly.
- Uatisone (8/5): - Thank you Amoa for accomodating our rowdy family, will be back for sure!!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great choice in Savaii - We enjoyed our stay here. Ate here every night and had excellent meals. Very comfortable room and loved the outdoor shower. Small sandy cove owned by resort across the road good for swim in the sea. Very quiet.
- Iris (10/5): - Loved staying at Amoa! Excellent service and all employees are very helpful and friendly! Very welcoming!❤️
Very clean and the food was first class
- Ielu (10/5): - The property was immaculate. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the complimentary breakfast each morning was wonderful. All of the staff were friendly and professional. We especially enjoyed Joe and looked forward to seeing him each morning at breakfast. It was a very short walk across the street to their beach access. My kids enjoyed jumping off the deck into the ocean, and it was a beautiful spot to watch the sunrise and to eat a picnic lunch. Our family poolside villa was very nice and comfortable. We will choose Amoa again the next time we are in Savai’i.
- Megan (10/5): - Beautiful property. Very lovely and quiet.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - reception was great and there was no complimentary wifi esp. with how expensive the hotel chargers
- Hena (2/5): - Upon arrival, I was greeted by a staff member named Helen. She was pleasant to deal with. Prior to checking in, I had spoken to a staff member named Olivia over the phone twice and everything seemed to be going well. While in our room, we were informed by Helen that Olivia had booked another room for us and told us we could move. When asked if there was an extra charge, we were informed there wasn’t, thus we moved rooms. The room appeared clean and comfortable but there were a lot of bed bugs. We had streaks of blood where our legs were when we woke up from the bed bugs – we were really itchy when trying to go to bed.
When we were checking out, we were surprised and informed that there was an extra charge due to the room change despite staff failing to inform us of this. The charge was almost 300 Samoan tala and when we told Olivia we should’ve been informed the night before and that this is staff’s mistake because they failed to provide us with this information the staff who made the change seemed dismissive and we still had to pay. Wouldn’t recommend if you want to sleep comfortably and to leave without paying extra charges without being told prior.
- Sue (10/5): - We loved the “open to the sky” shower with a big rain head fitting. The room was spacious with comfortable beds. The staff were amazing & really friendly and respectful.
They use local produce really well. Wifi is complimentary in the Reception area but SAT20 per day otherwise.
The pool area is beautiful and has its own “swimup” bar
- Maureen (10/5): - Beautiful accomodation and the service was excellent.
The staff always had a smile on like it was part of their uniform and ready to help attitude, they were such beautiful and amazing people.
The buffet breakfast which was part of the package was for me very good and filling with all local and traditional dishes.
The room we stayed in was good, the only downfall was no sugar and not enough coffee but that was not a issue.
- brittny (10/5): - The whole resort was super clean, friendliest staff, beach across the road was stunning, really big rooms with lovely open showers. Highly recommend.
- Julie (6/5): - This place is pretty average
- Pulusi (10/5): - Staff were friendly n curtious with a big smile
- Claudia (10/5): - The room was very nice and correctly priced for the level of finishes and decor. The lava rock outdoor shower worked well and was pleasant to use with by day or night. The stag were kk d and attentive. The only thing I object to is the additional charge for internet service for each day of my stay.
- Leeward (10/5): - Staff was excellent. Our room was spacious and well kept. The food options were great. Overall, we loved our stay and we’re definitely coming back.
- William John (10/5): - The resort is good value for money in terms of the accommodation. The restaurant food is expensive, but there are really no other options; in addition, the internet was not functioning during our stay of a week, but we bought an inexpensive Vodaphone SIM card at the nearby post office. The lush vegetation is wonderful on the island of Savai'i, but the best thing about our stay was the Samoan people, which includes the staff. People on the island are so friendly and helpful seemingly almost without exception. The staff of the Savaí were really helpful and friendly too. I would especially like to thank Joe for his friendly and helpful attitude toward us, which we greatly appreciated. What will remain uppermost in my mind is the friendly and engaging personalities of the Samoan people. This is th real strength of Samoa as a nation.
- Mona (10/5): - Absolutely had an amazing time Amos resort. Staff were amazing, the food was amazing! Will definitely highly recommend.
- Theresa (10/5): - Place was amazing!
Rooms were beautiful and clean!
Staff were very friendly.
Needed towels and staff ensured our request was met asap.
Had an aqesome time here. Will definitely make this a MUST on our next trip.
- Tagilima (8/5): - It is a beautiful place to stay. Perfect distance from the city. However, wish they had a phone in the rooms to be able to contact reception, kitchen or housekeeping for assistance with ordering food especially after a tiring day and just want to eat in or needing extra bathroom products like towels or toilet paper especially after hours. Also there were no options for washing to be done as we were sent down the laundry mat to complete our own washing. We had to keep walking up to reception to ask for simple things when a call by phone like many other hotels would suffice. Could do with a better band or just a young vibe during dinner time. Besides the things mentioned above. Amoa is a beautiful place to stay. If they can fix the little things it would be a great boost for their hospitality service and the best place to stay. Looking forward to seeing growth.
- Ray (8/5): - Nice Staff. clean and beautiful ocean view. There is no beach here but waterfront access and private, We swam in the ocean every day.. They have a waterfront access that they maintain its is clean and private quiet and peaceful. we will definately stay here again when visiting Savaii.
- Soosemea (10/5): - Love the service, my children enjoyed themselves even though it was only for a short stay, most definitely be back and stay for a bit longer when we visit Savaii again. Thank you you for your service Amoa.
- Joan (10/5): - Friendly and very nice services. Got everything we need and more
- vendella (10/5): - We had a wonderful time there! Best customer service! Everyone was so welcoming and so very kind. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We love love it there! Wish we could stay longer! Felt like home ❤️
- Nisha (10/5): - I love the staff they are very helpful, always smiling.. the rooms are very spacious aswell so clean love the outdoor showers (private), my partner proposed to me there and when i tell you how kind and generous the staff is that they helped him with everything it literally put me to tears! It was a birthday celebration turned to proposal, they made our table look soo beautiful to the floor, to an amazing band, Amoa resort is a MUST to stay at I PROMISE YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!! amazing experience,. THANK YOU AMOA.. definitely be back
- vendella (10/5): - Customer service was wonderful! Everyone was so welcoming! The food was the best!
- Phoebe (4/5): - Our stay at Amoa Resort entailed a roller coaster of emotions. Upon arrival, we were rather peckish & thought we’d treat ourselves to a nibble from the restaurant. We got a pizza which had hairs buried so deep underneath the cheese it had nearly fossilised. If I was an archeologist, I would predict this hair to have been at least a year old. Disgusting. We then went back to our room to find our data access had been blocked. You had to pay $15 per head for access to their wifi. That is some evil knieval planning. The wifi we then bought was so slow it was like they got the modem out of a weetbix box. We then went to the pool to cool off. Unfortunately this was off the cards as the pool was warmer than a spa and it had so many dead bugs floating it, it looked like a spiders cereal bowl. Please do better.
- Dawn (10/5): - Lovely resort with a great pool and grounds. Excellent air conditioning in each bungalow. They bent over backward to help us with our special requests.
