Islam (9/5): Fabulous - Things are only getting better under the new JAZ brand and management. The entertainment & animation team are especially great at what they do. The renovated buildings and rooms are as described. They have an amazing coral reef perfect for snorkeling. The fitness center was good. All staff from Reception to Housekeeping are more than excited to offer help. Great stay! N/A

Das Essen war im Übrigen top 🤩👍🏻, es gibt all - Die Unterkunft ist zT bereits renoviert, vorraussichtlich im Juni 26 wird das Hotel geschlossen und es erfolgt die 2. Umbauphase, die restlichen Zimmer werden renoviert. Zudem wird das ganze Pooldeck, die Gehwege und viel mehr erneuert. Man kann sich also freuen! Nichts
Oksana (9/5): Very nice stay with great food and location - We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is excellent. The sea is in a beautiful bay with a very gentle entrance to the water, which makes swimming very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. When we arrived, we were given a free room upgrade and were even offered to choose the floor we preferred, which was a very nice gesture. The food was amazing, very tasty and with a big variety. Everything was beautifully served. The service in the restaurant was very fast and almost invisible; the waiters worked very professionally. There were different kinds of meat, and at breakfast a chef cooks eggs exactly the way you like them. Honestly, it is hard to imagine what else could be added to the menu, there was already so much choice. Our room was clean, with a balcony and a pool view. From most rooms in the buildings facing the pool you can also see the sea, which is very nice. There is also a beach bag and beach towels in the room, which is very convenient for going to the beach. Wi-Fi works well throughout the entire hotel area, including the beach. This is not our first time staying at a hotel from this chain, and compared to other hotels we visited in Hurgada before, this is definitely one of the best. The only small downside, and the reason why we did not give a 10, was that the plumbing in the room felt a bit outdated and the door lock sometimes got stuck. However, the hotel is currently undergoing renovation, so it is very possible that the building we stayed in will be renovated soon and this issue will disappear.

Irina (7/5): Not sure I want to come back - Fantastic location in a calm bay. Well tendered gardens and very clean generally. A good range of facilities. Ability to book a la carte restaurants twice a week. The hotel is under new management as of October and is experiencing a period of change. So far the changes result in decreasing the services provided, including removing access to bottled water on the beach and closing an excellent local specialty lunch outlet. I hope there will be positive developments as well. The closure of the disco (permanently?) which kept a lot of people awake until 2am is a plus. The cancellation of the morning volleyball slot is a minus as well, which also resulted in far too many animators turning up for the afternoon slot and taking up the spaces, making guests wait their turn.
Dave (7/5): Great room. - The room was very nice and got a good rate. I tried to add a night, but the rate more than doubled. Property itself was nice enough. It was very difficult to get a lounge at the beach. The food was just OK. Had a couple mixed drinks at the bar and they were not good at all. Who knew Sprite and Fanta went into a mai tai. I’d consider trying the royal next-door next time.

Chaque séjour est différent et unique, rempli de petits moments magiques qui rendent l’expérience inoubliable. Dès l’arrivée, l’accueil à la réception par Amer, Mahmoud, Islam, Sayed, Monsef et Ahmed est toujours chaleureux et efficace. Notre majordome Mohamed, ainsi que l’épicier Ahmed et son neveu Moustapha, sont toujours disponibles, attentionnés et prêts à rendre service. Et toute l’équipe en cuisine, service et bar mérite un immense bravo pour leur professionnalisme, leur sourire constant et leur service impeccable, même avec le rythme intense du All Inclusive. Les chambres sont confortables et impeccables, et le choix entre piscine et mer privée, avec une eau vert émeraude accessible juste en sortant de la chambre, est un vrai bonheur. Nager avec les poissons exotiques juste devant ta porte est un souvenir magique que je chéris à chaque visite. Samar (9/5): Fantastic place - I was worried about traveling with the kids by my self but the staff were super helpful , especially Mr.sherif the restaurant manager and mr.Gabriel the main chef , mr.Mohamed the receptionist manager as well mr.waleed the bar manager even moassed and Mohamed the bar tenders at the beach they made my kids and I feel pampered and really made a fantastic holiday for us. We requested an upper floor room at seaward end of southern array of rooms - On arrival we had been allocated not just that but stunning double balcony room closest to the sea/beach (2459) Immense wow factor with fabulous views of the entire sea frontage- probably the best of all in the whole bay. Spectacular sunrises. Super king bed with very comfortable mattress, super-hot water and lovely big shower 2. Sea and pools - Mini bay within the bay 30m from our room was good to swim at ALL tides with no need to use a pier or walk across rough shallows to deeper water. Pools large and various depths and 27 C comfy temperature well serviced by good sunbeds and bars. Nice Gym in an airy structure located right on the beach. 3. Food and Restaurants - For breakfast and lunch by the beach, light and airy with sun or shade options. Dinner main restaurant indoor and outdoor options. Range and quality a wow for every taste with super fresh salads and fruits and reliable meat and fish dishes daily as well as the daily themed variants. The dessert display was a work of art plus themed strawberry and chocolate days - exceptional food hygiene too. 4. Location - Best in the bay with safe walks off site in all directions and no problems with insects or bites. The gardens are a delight of flowers, shrubs and palms - fragrant and tranquil. 5. MOST IMPORTANT Staff. Welcoming, friendly, attentive but never pushy. True stars were Osama (restaurant manager) Mohammed and Romany, two of the waiter staff and young Yousef, ever smiling whilst sweeping. Ahmed serviced our room intelligently to the highest standard and did amazing towel creations, whilst Yousef and Ayman in the lobby bar were great, ever present and always remembered just how we liked our drinks. Khamis, one of the barrier security staff was also particularly kind, helpful and charming. Such staff are a credit to Labranda and key to A+ guest experience. The pool/reception Wi-Fi could become very slow at very busy times.

L (8/5): Fantastic price/quality value - - the staff is very friendly, truly at the level of a 5 star hotel (except for the taxi story see below) - housekeeping was super clean and made cute figures with the towels/bed drape every day - the mattress was perfect - price/quality is excellent - good sized balcony - spacious room Other points: - Best snorkeling is at the other side of the bay, at Fort Arabasque and Red Sea spa hotels. It's about 1 hour walk from Labranda. Unfortunately there is no soft coral and the hard coral is mostly bleached, but there are still plenty of fish. - Overall I would score the resort a 7.5/10. The staff is excellent and everything is clean, but the food is just ok and the rooms need a little renovating and are noisy. These are minor, as overall we had a very good stay: - Taxi from the airport from the hotel that was arranged for us by the hotel and cost 35 EUR (+- 20 min ride). We arranged for a cheaper taxi for the trip back to the airport at the end of the holiday, and the hotel would not let that taxi get past security at the entrance of the resort and we had to walk over there. - There is noise from the disco until midnight which you will hear in your room. If people are walking around in the hallway and talk to each other at a normal volume, you will hear that too. Count on having a few wake-ups in the very early morning when some tipsy guests are coming back from the bar/disco. - Food was plenty, but the quality was not amazing, still good but nothing special. For vegans the choices are unfortunately more limited. - Room could do with some small fixes, eg broken tiles in the bathroom, paint splatters..., the door lock was broken when we checked in but was fixed very quickly after reporting it. Everything is very clean though. - The only good wifi signal is in the lobby.

We stayed for 4 nights and caught Asian, German and Bedouin nights and even Food Festival :) Very good reef with beautiful fishes, skates and turtles, so you definitely will have something to do if you like snorkeling.

Actually you use all the amenities of both hotels - Labranda Club and Labranda Royal (for example, all the restaurants were located in Royal Hotel, which is a minute walk, same joint territory). Good room, clean, comfy beds, nice green territory of the hotel, several big heated pools, bay type of beaches with sand smooth entrance to the sea, amazingly clean water. Food was fine, can feel the economical crisis but still big variety, some dishes were very good! Wide choice of vegetables, fruit, local and international cuisine. Different drinks were available. Funny animation team, a lot of options how to spend your time. In hotel disco for adults in the evening, mini disco and kids club activities for children. Spa and salon on territory, some shops, pharmacy. Great internet but only in the lobby. Recommend, especially for stay with kids. Would be great if food variety is wider. The restaurants that you are given voucher to change your dinner to are very so so, way better to eat at the main restaurant. Also would be nice to have some more toiletries in the bathroom (not everything needed was available). Some parts of the hotel are under reconstruction, but it is quiet and clean. Not a lot of people - that was an advantage for me. Liked the hotel - recommend!

Soultana (4/5): - Our room was in need of renovation. New Year's Eve was chaotic, we had to run for so long with plates on our hands for us and the kids to a huge buffet. In the end we didn't eat anything. The worst thing was that we all got gastroenteritis. It must have been the food or the water there. The hotel does not offer any excursions. There is only one cab driver there who wants to rip off the guests. Stay away better frm these kind of hotels.

Irina (8/5): Good value for money but could do with some improvements - Excellent beach location - still water due to the bay within the Makadi Bay. Good beach, but not enough sunloungers, so the early risers rushed to occupy them. Late risers had to be satisfied with the pool sun loungers or being right on the outskirts. The food was good and all chefs were smiley and friendly. There is a themed buffet night every day in addition to the main restaurant standard offering. You get 3 vouchers per stay (we stayed for 9 nights) to book a la carte restaurants (Italian, Asian, sushi, Greek, Cairo, Indian, shwarma, burger). Bookings are taken in the lobby from 9am for that day, so you need to be there early to ensure you get the time slots and restaurants you want. There is also a steak house and a seafood restuarant, but you will need to pay. There is a small fitness centre, but it is on the beach with no air conditioning. The grounds are well looked after and the greenery looks nice. The rooms are large and clean with a good size bathroom. Evening entertainment is good and reasonably varied. You are issued beach towels in the rooms and it is not easy to change them. There is certainly no possibility of changing them on the beach. You need to go to the reception and request a change, which is a drag. The wi-fi is terrible. It is only available in the lobby and some rooms, but the service is intermittent. A real problem in this day and age. The open-air disco on the pier, which works every night until 1am, could keep you awake. We had to change rooms for quieter ones to reduce the noise, which we could still hear. There is an inside disco room in the hotel, which was not used for some reason. Sparrows in the breakfast/lunch restaurant eat food off the tables and from the servery and no attempt is made to get rid of them. The area is covered with mesh curtains, but they do not seem to work. The bed was OK, but not the most comfortable.

The room’s bathroom smelled badly and I reported it twice, and some of the staff were harassing tourists there with foul language because I understand Arabic and I witnessed that many times. They should be respectful because others do understand Arabic and it’s not pleasant when they curse and talk badly about the tourist girls.

I feel like they couldve had more Egyptian food and desserts for us to try. Fruits and savory snacks should be available throughout the day instead of just the pastries. They did not have slippers in the room. Wifi was terrible, only available in the lobby and connection was often poor

LABRANDA CLUB una garanzia. Un abbraccio a tutti :)

David (9/5): Great place to stay. - Very good location and facilites. The beach and pool facilities are very good. The Animation team put on enjoyable shows in the evening. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good selection of food and drinks. One thing that needs to be resolved is the problem of all the birds in the beach side restaurant. There are very many sparrows which are getting into the bread and food and flying all over the place. This is a very serious health and safery issue, and could easily be a source of serious illness amoung the guests. I would be interested to hear the managements comments about this problem.

Bruno (10/5): - Amazing property, with private beach, a small sand island reachable by a short swim. Huge swimming pool (could be deeper, max is 1,60 which is not ideal to dive). Unlimited food, with a rich variety, bar only serve a specific list of alcoholic drinks, but actually they’re not that bad. A la carte restaurants are really bad, they failed to recreate gastronomy of this themed restaurants. Buffet restaurant is way better, they also have themed dinner (eg Spanish, Slavic…). Rooms are comfortable, equipped with the necessary amenities. If you’re a smoker, buy some cigarets packs before because they will charge you twice the price you’d pay in Cairo. The entertaining team is really catchy and there’s a lot of activities for those who want to have some fun in the pool or the beach. Overall, the staff is kind and helpful, but unfortunately there are a lot of tour sellers there, even around the pool, they are a bit persevering, but polite. A bar open until 3:00 would be funnier.
