- Susan (9/5): - Great location, clean, room was ready. Making you pay for valet parking at 45.00. We parked in the garage down the street. Inconvenience to guests that know it’s a ripoff to pay that much to park the car.
- Megan (7/5): Great location, comfortable room, fitness room too hot - comfortable beds, location and friendly staff. fitness room was TOO HOT! There didn't seem to be any AC working even when the afternoon sun brought it up to the mid 80's - way too hot to exercise.

- Laura (10/5): - I like the location because it's in walking distance to restaurant's, bar's and shops. No need to drive or get a ride if you've had some drinks. Also enjoyed the breakfast. Unless you pay $45 a night for valet parking, you have to try and find a parking spot on the street the costs $2 an hour for up to 3 hours and then $5 dollar's an hour. 8pm-8am is free though.

The room and breakfast were fine and the staff was very helpful. The valet parking may have been convenient, but we found a less expensive option ($20 for 24 hours) at Foundry Place Garage, only a couple blocks away.

It is also lacking hooks to hang your clothes and towels. There was one hook in the whole room. I left my room at 9:00 AM came back at 3:30 PM and my room was not cleaned yet very disappointed.

- Jennifer (10/5): Excellent value and location. - This was our third time staying here. Great location for downtown Portsmouth, minutes walk to shopping and restaurants. We park at a public lot nearby. Big comfortable room, great pillows, very comfy bed, very nice shower and big bathroom. All the amenities available : ice machine, guest washing machine, large gym (with a Peleton bike), pool, free coffee in the lobby, board games, large lounge area with gas fireplace. Very good hotel breakfast with hard boiled eggs and scrambled, meat choice (this time chicken sausage patties), potatoes (this time red bliss hash), oatmeal, waffle station, baked goods, apples and bananas, bread, juice fountain machine, yogurt. We were here in the holiday season and there was make your own hot chocolate and gift wrapping station in the lobby. Excellent value for the money!

The pool was a delight and water was clean and warm. There was a hot chocolate station as well as coffee and tea. The gas fireplaces in the lobby were wonderful as the weather was very cold and windy. Cookies were put out in the late afternoon. This was a great stay for Christmas activities in Portsmouth. Breakfast our second morning was not very good. The powdered scrambled eggs were dry and odd tasting and the French toast sticks were terrible. The previous morning we had egg and cheese omlets which were quite good. Luckily on the second morning we were able to enjoy other choices such as hot oatmeal with all the fixings and a toasted bagel.

Room was comfortable and clean. What stood out was Sabir at the front desk. He was John on the spot anytime I wanted anything. Cost, off season was steep. Starting Thursday, each day after the price went up but I agreed to the cost. $45 for parking car each night, no pick up at the airport. Again, I knew that when I planned my stay. They staff made they stay.

You don’t have to valet, as other reviews claim, but you don’t save anything by pulling around the corner to a parking garage yourself. Clean but note that they don’t clean room daily which we weren’t aware of. I’m sure we overlooked that. We only had 2 towels for 2 people with a 2 night stay. They delivered more but that was a little disappointing. We found it less expensive than the Sheraton and a better location. We’ll definitely return.
