• Felix (8/5): Ein stilvolles Apartment mit einem sehr verantwortungsbewussten Gastgeber, der Probleme ernst nimmt - Das Apartment ist wunderschön eingerichtet, sehr sauber und liegt ideal, um Brighton zu erkunden. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die Kommunikation mit Jeremy – er ist ein sehr engagierter und fairer Gastgeber, dem das Wohl seiner Gäste wirklich am Herzen liegt. Leider gab es zu Beginn technische Probleme mit dem Tür-Code und die Duschtemperatur ließ sich nicht richtig regulieren, was gerade auf einer Geschäftsreise stressig war. Jeremy hat jedoch sofort reagiert, am selben Tag einen Reparaturversuch unternommen und uns am Ende unaufgefordert eine faire preisliche Entschädigung angeboten.

• Stephen (3/5): Ok, not great, didn't match photos. - Room too small, toilet seat broken, access to room via stairs very hard, no facilities for disabled people.

• Mike (5/5): A nice quaint stay, but with some issues - Good location right by the prom. Though quite a small, narrow property, it is very clean, and the process of picking up keys and entering the room was smooth. The room itself had several issues including a hole in the wall by the door (caused by the door hitting it), and the rope on the slide-up windows was broken so the window wouldn't stay open. I had to prop it open on a folded towel. One of the panes was also cracked (see photos). Meanwhile, the small fridge inside the cupboard was incredibly noisy -- possibly faulty -- and as such, was quite disturbing to my sleep. Made worse by the fact that it's a small room, so the fridge was right by my head. Final, and perhaps most important point... the place does *not* have parking. To say it has parking is to mis-sell the property. This was extremely disappointing as I searched on Booking.com specifically for places in Brighton with parking -- which this property said it had -- but it transpires that the owner seems to think that there being resident permit parking bays outside is 'having parking'. Even though these bays are free overnight, every single one in the local area is full 24/7. Brighton is very difficult for parking and I ended up driving round for ages on all three days of my stay to find parking nearby, which I never managed to do. In the end I had to pay £20 per day (£60 total) to park in a nearby ANPR carpark at the local Bingo hall. Not a good experience for me really. And an unnecessary extra cost that I did not expect.

• Atlanta (8/5): Lovley stay - Lovley stay at the surf guest house! We stayed in room 2 and loved it, we loved the balcony and the windows that opened right up! It would be a bonus if there were a table + chairs on the balcony area though. However the room was lovely and clean, brilliant facilities and perfect location right next to the beach. 5 minute walk from local pubs/ restaurants- as well as a 5 minute walk from the beryl bikes which we often used. There were 2 fans left in the room which cooled the room down. We did get the parking permits which jermey provided wrong but with Just a text he managed to sort us some new ones out with no bother, thankyou ! Loved our stay thanks so much ! There was a little cupboard door above the Mirror in our room and it kept opening and closing despite folding up a parking permit to try to stop it then sometimes the light inside the cupboard would be on then off, it did scare me a little bit ! But my partner was winding me up about it so I was probably scared more than I should’ve been haha .

Sijainti oli erinomainen: rauhallisella ja hiljaisella kadulla, rannalle oli lyhyt kävelymatka ja keskustaan pääsi vaivattomasti jalan. Yhteydenpito isäntään sujui mutkattomasti ja saimme selkeät ohjeet sisäänkirjautumiseen. Kaikin puolin miellyttävä ja vaivaton majoituskokemus – voimme lämpimästi suositella!

• Daniel (8/5): Great stay for a night or two but would stay longer. - Close to Brighton city centre & queer district. Nice tea, coffee and biscuits facilities. Host allowed late check out till 12/noon. Personally for me I found the shower difficult but as a 6ft 4 man, I understand not everyone will have this problem. But I struggled. I also struggled being on the top floor as lots of stairs.

The shower was small and quite difficult to manoeuvre in for both of us, but it did not effect our stay. The room was quite warm, but a fan was provided.

Everything was funtional and lots of amenities came with the room. Location was right by the sea and not too far a walk from the centre, about 15 minutes. The seafront was about a 5 minute walk - you could see the water right as you stepped out! Plenty of breakfast options within a 5 minute walk as well. Shower was a little small, my partner has broad shoulders so he struggled to turn around etc. It was okay for me (as a broader shouldered gym girlie) though!

Sie haben sofort geantwortet und sind unseren Wünschen mit den check-in und check-out Zeiten proaktiv nachgekommen. Weitere Pros: grosses Bett, geräumiges Zimmer.. hat alles was man braucht. Die Dusche ist vielleicht etwas klein aber dafür hat man konstanten Wasserdruck und Temperaturen. Die Unterkunft ist nahe dem Meer und 5-10 Minuten vom Pier und den Lanes entfernt.

• Brigitte (10/5): - Die Lage war perfekt, nur wenige Schritte vom Strand entfernt. Die Ankunft war einfach, es gab zum Empfang leckere Kekse, zwei Flaschen Wasser im Kühlschrank. Nach drei Tagen gab es noch mal Kekse und Wasser. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war sehr angenehm. Ich habe mich wohl gefühlt.

Quite old, some things should be replaced: broken towel hanger on the bathroom door, broken shower head stand. Not particularly satisfactory in terms of cleaningness: the thick carpet doesn't feel clean or smell fresh at all, lots of dust if you move the bedside tables.

Jeremy even let us keep our luggage there while we went around the city, everything was so uncomplicated and that’s extremely appreciated when on holidays. Thank you Jeremy! The bathroom is super small, which I understand given the space you are working with, but at times we hit our elbows when taking a shower and we are very small people, so just keep that in mind.

As we were on the top floor there were quite a few steps to climb to get to the top so I would suggest making sure before hand if difficult for you. And the window didn’t seem to stay open.

• Jan Willem (8/5): Prettig verblijf in Brighton - De ligging van de accomodatie is geweldig. Vlak bij het centrum en toch heel rustig. Parkeren kan 500m verderop tegen een gustig tarief van GBP 9 per 24 uur. De inrichting is niet super modern, maar dat heeft ook wel weer iets. De douche was erg krap, maar onze superior kamer was wel voorzien van een eettafel, waar je zelf kon ontbijten. Verder was de beheerder erg vriendelijk. Brighton zelf is een ontspannen stad. Het is wel toeristisch maar niet op een vervelende manier. Wij vonden het Royal Pavillion en de lanes (en met name de North lanes) erg leuk. Ook hebben we de wandeling onder de krijtrotsen gemaakt, waarbij je vanaf het centrum van Brighton ongeveer 5 kilometer onder langs de rotsen en de zee kunt lopen. Een erg leuke ervaring. Tijdens ons verblijf ging ‘s avonds de electriciteit stuk. Dit was wel een beetje vervelend. De vriendelijke beheerder heeft dit echter na enige tijd wel goed opgelost.

Nos dejaron unas cajas de cartón con cafés, tés y galletas surtidas, ideal para el desayuno. El check in muy fácil gracias a las indicaciones y Jeremy muy amable. La situación también ideal, muy cerca del mítico Brighton Pier. Volveremos, sin duda. No tengo queja.

• Matt (10/5): Outstanding in every way! Would definitely stay again. - The communication and instructions were absolutely first class; Jeremy was very attentive throughout. The central location is ideal for exploring the city, and there was a lovely little welcome pack in the room containing biscuits, tea and coffee, as well as some bottles of mineral water in the fridge. The room was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, and the bed was very comfortable and absolutely huge! There are loads of good pubs and bars in the area, a nice cafe on the corner of the street and a curry house (Brighton Curry) just around the corner which we highly recommend. It's also only about 10 minutes' walk to the pier and 15 minutes to the Lanes, so everything was easily walkable (and there are frequent buses and plentiful taxis/Ubers if you want to go to the Hove end of town). The shower room/toilet was quite small, but perfectly suitable for our needs. Being on the top (third) floor, there were quite a lot of stairs up to our room and the staircases were quite narrow; absolutely no problem for us, but if you are less able-bodied then you'd probably be better off requesting a room on the first floor.

Sadly Surf Guest House is all booked up for August bank holiday next year so we'll have to look elsewhere but we can see why! Maybe a wall mirror in the bedroom but other than that what's not to like!
• Astrid (6/5): - Die Lage zum Meer, zur Pier, aufmerksames und freundliches Personal - Lokalitäten und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in direkter Nähe. Zur Innenstadt ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Buslinien in der Nähe. Gefallen hat mir auch, dass das Zimmer über einen Kühlschrank verfügte und neben 2 Flaschen Wasser auch jeweils 4 x Kaffee und 4 x Tee und 4 x Cookies vorhanden waren. Zimmer und Toilette/Dusche sehr klein.

• Laura (9/5): Ottimo soggiorno - La struttura è molto vicina al lungo mare, a 10 minuti a piedi dal Pier, a 15/20 minuti dai Lanes. La zona è tranquilla .. fuori dal traffico cittadino del centro ma comunque comoda. La camera è piccola ma carina e completa, un po calda essendo agosto senza condizionatore ma con un grosso ventilatore siamo stati bene lo stesso. Abbiamo interagito con jeremy solo via booking ma è stato efficiente e tutto è andato bene. Avrei preferito il box doccia e non la tenda che era un po scomoda .

• Maya (8/5): - Brilliant location, simple check in process and kind host who kept us informed the entire time (despite never actually meeting them). Bathroom was a tad small and the decor was a bit outdated. Nothing major and definitely didn't impact the experience.

• Jones (3/5): Not the best - It was in a vid location The room was tiny and the door had a gap at the bottom. Additionally the fan is was provided was broken.
• Amy (10/5): Lovely property, friendly host, great price! Definitely will visit again ☺️ - The location was great, very close to the pier! Very easy to check in. Room was rather cosy, but had everything a room needs. Bed was huge and super comfortable - slept very well! The room was a little hot but there were 2 big fans that cooled it down perfectly. Jeremy the host was very friendly and helpful. Shower is quite small so not ideal if you’re rather tall!

Cosy room with such an amazing location close to the beach and other shops. The bathroom was a little small and had a bit of a damp smell, but other than that the room was comfy
