We hadden oorspronkelijk op onze rondreis 4 nachten geboekt maar hebben er tijdens ons verblijf daarna nog 3 bijgeboekt omdat het hotel (met goede faciliteiten zoals zwembad, gym, pooltafel en andere spellen), ligging van het hotel, rustig aan een riviertje waar we kano’s gratis konden gebruiken maar toch zeer centrale ligging vlakbij de supermarkt. Whitefish is een gezellig stadje en heeft een gezellige centrum. Dank je wel Beate en overig personeel voor jullie gastvrije ontvangst❤️

The space was inviting, we appreciated that they used actual dishes and silverware, the coffee was good, but the food was disappointing and the hot items were not hot. The fresh fruit was most welcome.

The pool, the relaxed “den”, the breakfast every morning, the shuttle from and to the train station, the shuttle to and from the airport, the information, the free laundry facility- truly a nice place. My husband is handicapped, the stool is too low and no grab bar to pull up from.

It is clear that management is focused entirely on "optimizing" profit for the owners at the absolute expense of the guest experience.ot tub, games room. ## A Management Failure – Good Location, Poor Service and Zero Flexibility The service we received was rigid and entirely unhelpful. Despite having two consecutive bookings, the front desk refused to consolidate our stay. We were forced to check out, remove all our belongings, and wait to check back in later that afternoon—an absurd logistical hurdle simply because we added an extra day to our trip. This "policy-over-people" approach reveals a management style that prioritizes rigid internal metrics over basic customer service. Housekeeping was equally neglected. Our room was never properly cleaned; dirty towels left on the floor remained there throughout our stay, with staff simply dropping off a few clean ones rather than actually refreshing the room. When a hotel is managed to please an owner’s bottom line rather than to care for its clients, the results are obvious: substandard maintenance and a complete lack of hospitality. I cannot recommend staying here when there are far more professional options in the area.

It is clear that management is focused entirely on "optimizing" profit for the owners at the absolute expense of the guest experience. ## A Management Failure – Good Location, Poor Service and Zero Flexibility The service we received was rigid and entirely unhelpful. Despite having two consecutive bookings, the front desk refused to consolidate our stay. We were forced to check out, remove all our belongings, and wait to check back in later that afternoon—an absurd logistical hurdle simply because we added an extra day to our trip. This "policy-over-people" approach reveals a management style that prioritizes rigid internal metrics over basic customer service. Housekeeping was equally neglected. Our room was never properly cleaned; dirty towels left on the floor remained there throughout our stay, with staff simply dropping off a few clean ones rather than actually refreshing the room. When a hotel is managed to please an owner’s bottom line rather than to care for its clients, the results are obvious: substandard maintenance and a complete lack of hospitality. I cannot recommend staying here when there are far more professional options in the area.

- Louise (10/5): Beautiful property! - Recently redone property on the edge of old Whitefish. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The riverside rooms have a lovely view. Breakfast was adequate. We appreciated the staff getting us in early. My sister used the shuttle to get to and from the airport. I would have preferred more protein friendly options at breakfast—plain eggs or yogurt.

- Ferguson (10/5): Location and facilities were excellent. It suited our needs perfectly. - It was perfect. The location was short walking distance via a path by the river into town. On the street in front of the hotel is a bus stop for the free local bus up to the ski area. Could have walked to the Amtrak station if needed but they also offer a shuttle service that took as at 10 at night. There is an indoor/outdoor pool, hot tub and game room with billiard table and more. Nice breakfast service, as well as coffee/tea/hot chocolate service available all day. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Nothing

- Sarah (10/5): Wonderful and comfortable place to stay in Whitefish - would definitely stay again! - The staff was wonderful. The room was large and the bed was super comfy. Walk to town along the river was easy. My son loved the pool, hot tub, and hot chocolate bar. Not great soundproofing - could devotedly hear people walking in the rooms above us in the early morning.

Shuttle pick up at airport and snow bus pick up right in front were great. Room for dropping ski equipment was nice. Hot tub jets were not working at first but still usable then they closed it. Room was a bit noisy with hallway traffic, etc.

- Katarina (7/5): I would go back but I truly hope they fix the breakfast! - I love the heated pool and hot tub even though it should be renovated. The jets in the hot tub didn’t work. The hotel was 15min walk from downtown. I seriously seriously hated their breakfast. First day they had cut up fruits, but next few days they didn’t have any fruits, why is so hard to go buy box of bananas, apples and oranges to offer people some vitamins?!? Every day was same thing and all of it comes from box. They seriously have to work on that, that’s why I picked that hotel because it offered breakfast, but then I was disappointed. And you don’t want to be disappoint people with food!!! And one more thing. Young lady that was at reception desk was a bit rude and didn’t have patience.

Room was big, but old. - Great location and a shuttle service that you have to schedule to be available every hour on the hour. So we ended up walking because that was just too much coordinating. The room was very dated but I am sure it will be great when it is finished being remodeled. The front lobby was great, so I can only imagen when they will do with the rooms when they finally get to it. Everything aside from the lobby needs work.

- Lisa (10/5): Great Value and Exceptional Service - Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable. We went on bike rides, enjoyed complimentary roasted marshmallows and afternoon cookies, did our laundry there (also free) before moving on to our next destination. The jets in the hot tub have not been working for several months. I was really hoping for a better experience there. I’ve asked them to remove that amenity from their advertising.

We paid extra for a room that was listed as river view, but it was actually on the pool deck level so we only had a view of the pool & the concrete patio & should not pay extra for that. Only floors 3&4 had patios with a view of the river.

I love that they had kayaks available and other amenities like a pool table, comfortable lounging areas and s'mores kits. Super awesome!

- Jessica (1/5): Terrible - will never go back - Location to downtown We checked in around 7 pm and were not treated warmly to say the least. Other issues - all floors appear to be under construction; walks were half painted and there was always work being done on our floor; don’t expect to sleep if someone is above you as you’ll hear every step they take; and the best part (sarcasm) was my son acquiring lice.

I read th gym was closed for remodeling and they had an offsite gym we could use. The staff admitted that a few people mentioned this but they had no clue, or not remedy. Disappointed! When I booked they said and one other area being remodeled but actually it was the whole hotel! Skip breakfast I’ve had better at Motel 6. Overall disappointed.
- Brian (4/5): If the construction is all done I would stay again. - On the river with access and they have bikes and paddleboards to use while you stay. The beds were comfortable pillows were nice overall the room was good. It’s an easy walk to downtown witch is a big plus due to limited parking down there. When I booked the room in 03/2025 it said lite construction. Nope it’s a complete rehab don’t let them tell you otherwise. I do think when it is completed it will be nice. The breakfast they had was what I consider less than a continental so you will what to go out for that. For the price i paid I feel it was over priced for all of the construction that was going on inside and outside the facility.

- Kim Marie (5/5): We will return to the lodge - I booked a king room with a fireplace and jacuzzi tub. When we got there all the rooms were booked and they gave us a different room with no fireplace or jacuzzi tub. We complained and they moved us to the lodge their sister hotel and it was fabulous!! Great room with a fireplace and a large tub and balcony!! We were celebrating our anniversary and wanted everything to be special. They did a great job to ensure we were happy!

- Mary Nowak (10/5): We really enjoyed our stay. - Our room was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. The outdoor pool and hot tub were closed, but we enjoyed using the indoor pool. The common area near the hotel lobby was very inviting and well decorated for Christmas. Plus the view was spectacular, overlooking the river. Check in staff people were very accommodating and helpful.
