Valet service for car which we really appreciated. Charming owner who chatted with us several times. Quiet pool for relaxing after a hot day’s sightseeing. Fantastic place. Nothing. (Booking appears to have added some photos that are not mine: the pool by water, glass doors, bottle of beer on table and Pam tree! )

Ein traumhafter Patio, in dem das hervorragende Frühstück serviert wird. Stilvolle Ausstattung der Zimmer. Sehr aufmerksames und freundliches Personal und dazu ein Eigentümer, der sich um das Wohlergehen seiner Gäste kümmert. Sehr empfehlenswert, wir werden dort bei unserem nächsten Besuch ganz sicher wieder übernachten.
- Ann (9/5): We really enjoyed the hotel and staff. - The staff, location and charm of an older property are lovely. Appreciated the makeup mirror and 2 luggage racks! Largest bathroom ever!! It needs a little bit of TLC, mostly due to the age, weather, and humidity but the property is lovely and well kept overall. Our air conditioning stopped working, which the staff tried to correct and offered to move us, so it was not a problem but a little updates would be nice. New makeup wash rags, new soap dish, … Too much stuff on the the table and furniture so no where to put our things.

The pool, which is reserved for hotel guests, gives a welcome break after exploring Mérida. The central location is perfect for exploring the city. We will definitely return.

The other days we ordered off of a menu. The staff was ready for us no matter what time we arrived each day and treated us like royalty in every way. Really, we have no suggestions for improvement. No stones were left unturned in this hotel. We have never experienced a hotel that is managed like this one. Perfection!
- colin (10/5): Exceptional service in an exceptional place! - We really, really enjoyed our stay at Merida Mansion Boutique Hotel. The hotel used to be a house now owned by the grand son of the original owner and is absolutely stunning. The inner courtyard with its fountain and luxuriant vegetation draws you in as you walk through the front door, taking you to a different era of slow life and exceptional service. We felt totally spoilt during our stay by the charming staff and their constant attention to detail, from preparing a day bag with towels, mosquito repellent and caps for our excursion the next day to organising an earlier breakfast one morning we wanted to leave early for our daily trip or leaving us a framed picture of us having breakfast as a souvenir to take home. We absolutely loved our stay at the Merida Mansion.

- Thomas K (8/5): Charming but dated, with great service and a quick room fix. - The hotel’s courtyard setting is charming, and the breakfast buffet offered a nice introduction to local cuisine. The owner went out of their way to make us comfortable, including arranging transportation and a late checkout. Our first room was unpleasant due to a sewage smell and lack of windows, but we were quickly moved to a much nicer room in the main courtyard. Overall, the place feels dated yet charming, and the breakfast would have been ideal if it were served warmer.

Wij kregen een upgrade! Het hotel is ideaal gelegen. De auto wordt geparkeerd en gehaald door de medewerkers. De kamers zijn verouderd maar alles werkt perfect. - Michael (10/5): - Mansion Merida is an exceptional place to stay in the historical center of Mérida. The Hotel is very beautiful with an incredible garden courtyard. The rooms are large with very comfortable bedding and great bathrooms. When we entered our room, there was a beautiful display of balloons and a happy birthday card along with a birthday cake and fresh fruit. We had breakfast every morning which was delicious with a great variety of Yucatán and traditional foods. But the most exceptional part of our stay was the friendly staff and the owner Raul, who made our stay exceptional. He took the time every day at breakfast to come over to our table and ask us if we need anything and how we enjoyed our stay. On the first morning he took a photograph of us at the breakfast table and told us it would be a surprise. The next day, when we re-entered our room we found a frame photograph with a personal note from him, wishing us all the best. We look forward to returning and staying here again soon. We recommend I’ll fellow travelers to stay here without hesitation.

Mais Par dessus tout , nous avons été stupéfait par la passion que le maître des lieux Mr Raùl Casares insuffle à son établissement , chaque hôte y est reçu avec une distinction toute particulière qui vous fait vous sentir chez vous , tout cela avec élégance , sincérité et humour . - Toni (10/5): A precious gift of a stay - We chose to stay at the well recommended Mansion Merida, one of many boutique hotels in the historic center. We still can’t get over the 35 foot ceilings in our room that overlooks the comfortably lively, beautiful Parque Hidalgo. The Mansion Merida was on the excellent tour we took offered at no cost from the City’s Info Point. Our knowledgeable multilingual guide pointed out that the Mansion was the original “social” club that welcomed, not only men, but women and men of all races. It has been recently refurbished in historic style by the grandson of the original owners, who sets a high bar for welcoming guests to this place of comfort. We especially loved its elegance, the lush park below our window, the internal patio and tropical swimming pool and the entire staff who not only responded to our requests, but anticipated our needs, before we did. Not a thing.

Die Klimaanlage ist tatsächlich sehr laut, wir haben sie aber nicht gebraucht, daher war es kein Problem. Es gibt eine Kaffeestation im 1.OG. Der Kaffee war grauenhaft, dann lieber löslichen Kaffee!

Superb restaurant at the heart of the hotel which is tranquil, provides generous and delicious portions of food. Staff cannot do enough for you and you are treated to the best of welcomes and care. Found the air conditioning system a little noisy but ear plugs were provided in the room.

- Paul (9/5): - Great hotel in a fantastic refurbished colonial house that has been in the owners family for 4 generations. Just a lovely feel to the place. The breakfast setting was fantastic as was the breakfast! Staff were all super helpful and friendly, as was the owner who introduced himself to every guest. The room was large as was the ensuite and all very well kitted out. The pool was a very peaceful place to cool down in the heat of the afternoon. The aircon in the room was quite noisy a - would be great if they could find a way of making it a bit more quiet.

La qualité du service et le restaurant était excellente. Du haut standing. La localisation était parfaite, en plein centre de Merida. La chambres était très propre, équipée et vraiment spacieuse. Nous avons eu la chance de rencontré le propriétaire qui nous fait une surprise à la fin du séjour. Une touche qui a rendu ce séjour encore plus exceptionnel. Je n’en dis pas plus. On vous recommande totalement ma femme et moi ce superbe hôtel. Profitez bien
- Laura Aznar (10/5): Lugar único y trato excelente - Un lugar lleno de encanto y buenos detalles. El personal del hotel dispuesto a ayudar en todo momento con un servicio esmerado y amabilísimo. Nos facilitaron un cómodo transporte privado a nuestro siguiente destino. El hotel es sin duda una burbuja en el tiempo, la cuidada decoración te traslada a otra época, y todo el ambiente invita a la relajación. Las habitaciones son muy amplias y cómodas, pero apenas tienen luz natural, y la luz del techo es demasiado fría, en contraste con las luces bajas cálidas. Con ese detalle mejorado, sería todo perfecto.

- Laika 2008 (10/5): Comfort in the Heart of Merida - The hotel is a hidden gem in the heart of the historic district. Although the little park in front of the hotel is filled with people trying to sell items, once you get past them you enter the sanctuary of the old mansion. The size of the rooms is augmented by the high ceilings. The bathrooms have professionally installed grip bars [not the stick on bars in some hotels] which makes entering and exiting the shower safe. The bed is comfortable and the linen is spotless and new. A wonderful fruit basket -- first time I tried dragon fruit -- was waiting for me. The staff is delightful. One young man was only on the job for 2 weeks and he was already a seasoned professional -- someone is training the staff correctly. And the restaurant, where breakfast is served in the morning, is in the interior courtyard of the mansion hotel. The food was wonderful and it was a very tranquil oasis in the heart of the city. Sitting next to the fountain eating papadzules for breakfast allows one to forget they are in the heart of a large city. A much nicer experience that staying at the Hyatt where I attended a conference the next week. I wish I would have stayed here the entire time I was in Merida and taken a taxi to the conference hotel. I would have given the coffee a 10 if I had not already tasted the coffee in Chiapas that same week. I doubt many hotels can match the coffee served in Chiapas. n/a

I feel this hotel had a lot of attention to details. They even gave us a picture of us in a frame having breakfast as a beautiful memory of our trip.

La struttura è splendida nelle zone comuni, ricca di piante e fiori, le camere accoglienti, pulitissime e dotate di ogni comfort, la colazione eccellente. The breakfasts at the hotel are amazing - authentic Mexican. And included in the room price. There is a nice pool but we never used it. The courtyard area is gorgeous. The location is one block from the main square! All kinds of restaurants. The buzz of the city is great. On top of all that the hospitality from the staff, and especially Sr Raul (the owner and grandson of the original builder) is second to none. Such a warm and personalable guy, great staff. Perfection!

Las mermeladas unicas y deliciosas. Nuestra habitacion muy linda,y muy espaciosa, el aire acondicionado funcionaba muy bien!! Lo que es indispensable en Merida 😂 Recomendamos este hotel para su estancia en Metida!

Our room was very spacious with a comfortable bed and an AC that worked great! The bathroom had good quality toiletries as well as a mosquito repellent spray. We were greeted with drinks and a fruit basket in our room. The owner came to say hi one day while we were having breakfast which it was a nice personal touch.
