Guest Reviews
- Ellison (8/5): -
- Donna (6/5): Staff were amazing. I was staying on my own and asked for a room near the bathroom, I was opposite the men’s bathroom. - Staff and location The noise - Friday karaoke until 1pm
- Apenisa (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay and the staff was just great😊
- Albert (6/5): Good location but limited facility - location is good, walking distance to long jetty wharf. In the center of Central Coast, convenient to explore. Too noisy downstairs, no kitchen facility, room door have no handle inside the room.
- Graeme (9/5): Good value for money and location for a short stay at the Entrance - The value for money and location and friendly staff and bistro The creaking noise of the hall floor boards
- David (10/5): -
- Nicole (8/5): Convenient & well priced , friendly staff - Convenient , good price We went to check in at 130pm & had to wait till 200pm on the dot , but only beds , no bathroom & very minimal room , so thought that might have been an excuse but I could be wrong .
- Michelle (1/5): Still in shock at being turned away. - Nothing Drove from Umina to the Entrance to be told, on check-in, that I lived too close to the venue (over 20k away) so they wouldn't honour the booking. To be fair, they may have thought I was a dodgy character as I had been crying and asked to split payment and they have an overly risk averse policy. But the way I was treated, like dog turd on their shoe, hurt so much. Anyway, it is what it is. Worked out much better for me anyway as Hotel Gosford came through with better deal which is closer to where I need to be and with a sympathetic hotelier. I had only booked it on price, yet ended up in a much better place for cheaper.
- Michelle (5/5): Basic, old-school pub in a seaside suburb. - Better than the backpackers. Privacy, security of own room and temperature was good. Noisy, few options for food. Smell of strong carpet cleaner and KFC. A few dodgy characters around. Parking not secure.
- Nadine (6/5): Für eine Nacht hat es gereicht - Das Bett war gemütlich Im Gang hat es sehr komisch gerochen und es war eindeutig teuerer als erwartet
- Michelle (6/5): Basic old style pub in a pleasant area. - Price. Cleanliness. Bed and room was ok, secure and comfortable. Nearby markets and second hand shops are great value. Shared bathrooms and toilets. Overpowering smell of scented cleaner in halls and inability to get fresh air into the room.
- Suraj (1/5): Will not recommend anyone- especially family. - Looking not safe Not safe, shared toilet, room was next to toilet so ventilation sound disturbed, place for alcohol, drunk people around. In the parking area, drunk people were telling me talking to me disrespectfully- I just ignored. I will not recommend anyone.

- Patrick (4/5): It was good for the most part but could’ve been better - Friendly staff, very welcoming Wifi dropped out, had no service. Everyone upstairs blasts there tv and shows all night long
- Sarah (1/5): - Nothing Don’t let you stay if you have a Central Coast address, but don’t state this anywhere on their page. Only after booking - and then don’t communicate at all. So I was scrambling at night to find somewhere else to stay.
- Veronika (9/5): Jinak za tu cenu prekvapive PERFEKTNI - Vse vyborne spatne fungujici wifi
- Charlie (10/5): -
- Elise (3/5): - Good location The first room I was allocated smelled strongly of urine. Staff kindly were quick to move me to another room when reported but the second room was still malodorous. Carpet sticky. Empty bottles and ?others belongings under bed.
- Joanne (9/5): - Great location. Everything you need in a room for an overnight or few nights stay.
- dangoldcoast (7/5): -
- Elizabeth (8/5): Loved the place. Worth every penny on rate card. - Good location, friendly staff, clean amenities. Based on what I paid everything was worth it.
- Tony (1/5): -
- Elise (10/5): Will come again - Close to shops & beach Everything was wonderful
- Gavin (6/5): - Lovely staff, great old traditional pub. Nice big room. Pokies going under our room until 1.00am.water for shower (first up) took 5-10 mins to warm up. Waste of water.
- Ron (8/5): -
- Kevin (8/5): - Modern, clean and good price Slightly thin walls so a bit noisy.

- Fonseca (1/5): - I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the unacceptable and unprofessional treatment I received from your staff.
Prior to my arrival, I called your hotel to inform you that I would be arriving slightly late for check-in. I was explicitly told that this would not be an issue. However, upon arrival—only four minutes past the stated time—I was refused entry and effectively told I could not check in. I was left in a situation where I was at risk of being stranded, which is completely unacceptable for a paying guest.
Furthermore, I was questioned about the reason for my late arrival in a manner that felt inappropriate and intrusive. Quite frankly, this is not relevant. As a customer who has paid for accommodation, I am entitled to access the service I have booked without being subjected to interrogation or unjustified refusal.
Under Australian Consumer Law, services must be delivered with due care and skill and must be fit for purpose. Denying a confirmed booking under these circumstances raises serious concerns about compliance with these obligations.
This experience was both stressful and disrespectful. I expect a formal explanation of this incident, as well as appropriate action to ensure this does not happen to other customers.
I look forward to your prompt response.

Finishes at 1am
For pub accommodation it's one of the best i have been to
- Bree (9/5): Value for money, shared bathroom with no toilet paper was a letdown. - Staff were very friendly & helpful, family room was large. Shared bathroom was out of toilet paper when we arrived and was not replaced by the time we left.
- Ahmed (1/5): - The floors haven't been cleaned i walk in and smells like urine and smoke i ended up just leaving early and booked at another place
- Alan (10/5): Very good 👍 - I stayed for one night location was good. Staff were very pleasant rooms and bathrooms were exceptionally clean. Very happy. Would highly recommend this hotel prices were good.😊👍

- Michael (9/5): - Quite large room, very comfy. Good kitchen to use Leaky shower
- Anthony (8/5): Great value. - Clean well maintained room. Great dining options. Very friendly staff. Poor wifi reception in my room.

- Lindsay (8/5): Definitely recommend the Lakes- Excellent position ! - Excellent Location. Rooms and bathroom fascilities were spotless. Close to the Beach,Promenade which has a great selection of Restaurants and Cafes. No private parking, especially since we had valuables in our vehicle. There is a bar/restaurant downstairs, live music playing which did stop at 8.00pm on a Sunday night, fine with us , but just a heads up so you aware of this.
- Kevin (10/5): -
- Michael (2/5): - You have to ask for tax invoice more than 4 emails, as they don't care once you leave.
- Karin (8/5): - Location
- Christian (1/5): -
- Kevin (10/5): -
- Lockwood (8/5): Get a new DJ - The room was spacious and comfortable. The beds were good and the small fridge was helpful. The shared bathroom was in good condition.
The hotel was very kind in their supply of earplugs. We were perplexed to find earplugs when we arrived at our room but didn't think much of it until the music started at 10pm. Turns out our room was directly above the nightclub downstairs and we had missed the memo. Not awesome for all the small humans but the biggest gripe is really how terrible the DJ was, I sincerely hope he was cheap.

- Yan Hao (10/5): - The convenience of the locations N/A
- Larissa (1/5): Wouldn’t go there again - The Bar and the staff was very nice. Kind people There were a lot of cockroaches in the room and the sheets were dirty… not possible to sleep there !
- Hill (8/5): Great friendly staff very helpful. - Tyler was so good and he was helpful. Got us sorted straight away. Staff at the bar and bistro was friendly and nice. We stayed in the flat, it was clean and nice but we couldnt open the windows and it had a bad smell guessing from just being shut up and no air flowing through it. Other than that was good.
- Thomas (8/5): -
- Neal (8/5): - Location, friendly staff. No brew facilities for the rooms. I wanted a cup of tea at night and there was nothing. This is standard in most hotels.
- Hoàng (3/5): -
- Peter (10/5): -
- Francine (10/5): Great place to stay - Location is great
- CHRISTINE (5/5): Not that affordable anymore for very little value - It was very noisy at 3am when staff were closing downstairs. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. The hot water is very unreliable. The housekeeper is lovely. Showers
- Gonzalo Andres (10/5): -
- Gordon (10/5): - Was great to meet some staff
- Global wanderers (8/5): -
- Donna (8/5): - Really good value for money, and really clean. Friendly and attentive staff. Nothing.
- Carolyn (9/5): - Pretty views. Close to shops.
- Hannah (3/5): -
- Jeanne (7/5): -
- Shane (8/5): I recommend it as a economic place to stay being central to a lot of shops and places to explore. - Check-in was easy with a great staff member. The room was much smaller than the one we stayed in on our first visit. Air conditioning/heating was good. The food in the restaurant was excellent and well worth the price paid. Fantastically positioned to access the rest of the town and shops. Check out was easy. The room's door handle was faulty, and the bed was a bit hard and stiff. The pillows were not very supportive.
