Una cabaña para 6 personas con una sola ducha de la que salía una gota de agua.

• Raul (2/5): - Extremely Disappointing Experience - Not Recommended We arrived at Hotel Yelcho en la Patagonia at 8:20 pm after a long day, expecting a decent meal and reliable Wi-Fi based on their 3-star rating. During check-in, we were told the restaurant was fully booked and had no food left—not even bread or fruit. The receptionist was indifferent, leaving us with nothing to eat and suggesting a restaurant 30 minutes away, which was either closed or closing soon. Our cabin, booked as a family room via Expedia, was far from the hotel and in poor condition—spiderwebs, dust, bugs, and even hairballs. The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all, and we learned that it’s unreliable in the cabins due to a different provider, which was never mentioned before booking. I chose this hotel expecting to join two important online meetings, including a medical appointment, but was left without options. The so-called business centre was non-existent. The cabin lacked basic safety, with an electric gas heater dangerously close to a power socket using an unsafe extension. No phone in the cabin, no access to the QR code due to no signal, and no soundproofing as claimed—we could hear frogs all night. The only positive was Ignacia at the restaurant, who showed genuine kindness and brought us food despite everything. Sadly, her efforts couldn’t make up for the rest. Totally not worth the money. Avoid this place!

• Musebi (8/5): Shelter where there is a dearth of options - The cabin is best suited to a family but it still worked for one traveling fishermen. One had to sleep on the sofa bed with sheets and blankets donated by the other three. The kitchen was well equipped. Bath was adequate but a little tired. There's lots of space but little privacy. Seems that it was designed for a family.

Great reception area too with nice staff, a bar and we enjoyed a great dinner with good wine! They even gave us free desserts for my birthday. Very nice place to have a drink and enjoy the view of the Yelcho lake The cabin was sold as having a lake view, we did not have a lake view. It was situated near the lake though.

• Julia (10/5): A true gem - we can't wait to come back! - This place is a true gem. We booked just for one night and enjoyed it so much we stayed a total of 4 (3 nights at the lodge and 1 night the campground b/c the lodge was full). The lodge is very charming with its Scandinavian feel and the views are to die for. We kayaked one morning which I highly recommend, we had the lake all to ourselves. My husband went fishing on the lake with a guide and he couldn't get enough - he's been telling everyone about how amazing it was! The staff is delightful, especially the wait staff. The food was abundant and good for the most part although there was room for improvement in that department. Oh, and they have Starlink wifi, which was good for how remote they are (but not as fast as in the US, so don't expect that). Amazing value! We can't wait to come back! The building itself (especially the exterior) could use some a little TLC but we were so in love with the setting, the vibe, and how well we were taken care of, we were easily able to look past the small issues we noticed (that didn't really impact our stay).

The toilet in our room did not work and the water in the shower wasn’t hot enough. The key to the room did not open it and we had to drive to the main building. Although the cabana was beautiful, it was somewhat on the down side: some of the curtains did not work and as I mentioned one toilet did not work so 3 adults had to use one tiny one

Unfortunately the oven in those cabins is not really strong so it was quite cold and not really cosy.

• Jorrit (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel is much nicer than in the pictures. The location at the lake is very impressive. The hotel has a great -almost Alpine- vibe. The fish in the restaurants comes from the lake itself and they catch it themselves. But what I liked most was the staff: very professional and cool at the same time. That’s especially true for the young woman at breakfast and dinner.

• Alexandra (5/5): Passable - We enjoyed the location by the lake, kayaking and fishing. We also enjoyed using the wood burner in our cabaña. Sebastien was managing the lodge and made every effort to ensure our stay went well. I believe with a bigger budget for the Chef and some basic maintenance the whole experience would be much improved. For example: guttering on our cabaña was blocked, causing rainwater overflow onto the decking; some lights needed bulb replacements and a lampshade; the parking spot is muddy and needs more hard standing. The BBQ area is rotting. We stayed in a cabaña that was listed as having a view of the lake, it did not. Trees obscure the view. The view was important to us and would be easily restored if trees were pruned back. We ate our evening meals in the main lodge. The first meal was enjoyable. The other meals looked beautifully presented but were very poor quality.

• karen (8/5): Hotel bueno comida mala - Estuvo buena la estadía ne el hotel. Bien ubicado y buena atención. La limpieza buena aunque el baño no brillaba de limpio. Lo realmente malo fue la comida, para nuestra familia que somos de comer bien. Todo super rebuscado y pretencioso hecho por un chef que tiene mucha imaginación pero está demasiado mal logrado. Si no eres un chef muy bueno mejor hacer cosas sencillas y ricas. Eso nos hizo difícil la estadia sobre todo en las noches que realmente no podíamos comer ahí y en la zona hay muy poquita oferta. Solo son 2 menús y los dos igual de rebuscados. En el fondo trata de diferenciarse pero malo y siutico. Pollo con arroz, cazuela, cordero con papas, todo es mejor que un pescado caliente sobre una cama de hummus de porotos negros (que es eso?) frío y seco con salsas arriba de cualquier cosa. No se podía pedir nada que no fuera uno de los 2 menús.

• Fooe2 (8/5): Maintenance requires attention - The walk by the lake and the Internet connection. The maintainance and cleanliness can be improved, especially after two years of Covid closure. It is sold as a premium property, and hair in the bath, empty body wash, and old stain marks on the cushions is not premium.
