• Rowe (1/5): - Nothing They put me in a smoking room when I had ordered a non-smoking room he was very clear that it was a non-smoking room I come in the next morning and talk to the front desk and they tell me that no that is a smoking room so I'm not exactly sure why I was putting a smoking room being assured that it was non-smoking
• Linda (2/5): The young lady and gentlemen were courteous, and gave us clean linens with no mattress cover. - No breakfast was offered, or that I was aware of. The underside of the bedspread/comforter had dog hair all over it. The edge closest to our face was soiled. Really disgusting. No mattress cover was on the bed or provided. I bought one myself. The main door looked like it had been broken into, as well as a hole in the bathroom door.

• erica (3/5): If you need a cheap stay this is your place but you pay for what you get and I wouldn’t stay there again. - Location was good for the family we were visiting for Christmas and had plenty of stores in area when you needed something. The room was very dirty. Stained sheets, towels, wash cloths, all of the bathroom was dirty with hair. Dog poop dried and stuck on bottom of bed. Cob webs, with dead spiders.

I am in House Keeping and would not pass for. being clean, infact, I was concerned about. the bed liens being clean because the room hasn't had a good detailed cleaning in awhile. The walls were covered with Nicotine yellow and brown stains.

• Elizabeth S (4/5): - front desk area is locked. You ring doorbell and someone lets you in for check in. No common area with coffee set up as shown. Room smelled like old smoke and musty. We had to buy air fresheners to be able to stay. We booked two nights but left the morning after we arrived. Room was dirty. Shower curtain smelled like urine. Bedspreads had multiple stains on them. Bathroom had half roll of TP and a used empty shampoo container. The exterior grounds were not well kept. Trash and loads of cigarette butts on the ground in parking lot and around entrance. On a positive note the staff members were very nice and it is in easy walking distance to several food places and shops.
• Donna (10/5): Red Roof Inn Chipley - I stay here about once a month and as a solo female, always feel safe. Building is old but rooms have been renovated and are clean. Comfortable beds. Great staff. Owner lives on property. Restaurant in the parking lot and lots of food and Walmart within walking distance.

• Jim (6/5): - Staff great. Room refurbished. Bare feet were blackened by some sort of soot on the vinyl plank floor. Foam pillows were like sleeping on a brick. TV refrigerator & microwave fine. Noise level OK.
• Michelle (3/5): - The staff was friendly and accommodating. We booked 3 rooms. Two of the rooms did not have refrigerators, even though they were listed to have them. The staff allowed us to change one of the rooms without the refrigerator because we were traveling with small children. Several lights inside the rooms were not working, and when we asked about getting bulbs for them, we were told they had been disconnected because they didn't work. Only one of the 3 rooms had the latch at the top to secure the door. My husband and I ended up staying in a room that had obviously been broken into. The door was busted at the bottom and would not close completely. When my husband pushed in on the bottom of the door, the alarm notifying you that the door wasn't latched would sound. The screen to the window beside the door had been cut leaving a hole about the size of a volleyball which was more than enough space for anyone to get their arm all of the way in the window and get access to the door handle from the outside. The door handle itself was bent, showing evidence that this had been done. When I mentioned this to the staff, I was told not to close the bottom of the door. They were aware of this and just hadn't made repairs. The ice machine was also out of order so unless the office was open, you could not get ice. It appears that the owners have allowed the building to fall into disrepair without intentions of repairing anything. Instead, they prefer to bypass repairs and remove things that don't work but not replace them and charge their customers a full rate. I would recommend sleeping in your car in the Walmart parking lot before recommending this facility.

• Emre (2/5): Worst place we ever stayed. - Once you walk in the room you smell the heavy humid air, feels almost like wet. The towels in the bathroom were literally damp. But the worst part was when we lifted the bed cover there was some hair on the bed sheets. So we slept on the bed cover. Luckily we had our own pillows with us. We had a two night reservation but we left after one night although I paid for two nights in advance. And the old blurry tv and tv remote hardly working.

• paul (6/5): - Well I was expecting basic and just hoping for clean.Initially I was pleased with cleanliness of room other than the comforter being a little stained. There was a tile floor which generally makes me feel better about a rooms cleanliness Then I looked at the bottom of my socks after walking around for less than an hour. And you can see the results by the picture below . So I would say if the room was cleaner I would give it and 8 or 9 overall(AC works well, fridge and microwave on room) but it's hard for me to get past how gross these floors are. The second one the water ran and made everything wet from the humidity. But she was so nice about it and moved us to another room. With great AC but the beds were hard. The outside of the place was dirty looking. Iv never stayed at red roof that was like this. Usually they are the best iv ever seen.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Could be better - If you’ve been on the road for 8 plus hours, out of it and need a place to “crash”, this place will do. The floors were sticky, had to wear socks around the room and they were brown after walking around a few minutes. The tv was slanted and fuzzy. Two of the lights flickered in the room no matter how much I tried to tighten them. The bed sunk in towards the middle, not great for the back after a long drive. The only plus was that the shower/tub was clean and the staff were nice. Not sure how the review is as high as it is.

• Ebony (6/5): We got EXACTLY what we paid for - Our stay was Good for the amount of time we spent. The cover for the air vent in the bathroom was missing, the back to the toilet seat was missing, an empty toilet paper roll was left in the bathroom, we had to figure the temperature gages in the bathtub. The beds are listed as queen sized, those were definitely Full Sized. Not even my kids were comfortable. There was a fridge, but no microwave. However, the staff was extremely friendly and professional and the property was well kept. They are also pet-friendly which is a plus ( since we were traveling with our fur baby as well. We stayed two nights and that was enough. The stay was good for the price, but next time I think we’ll pay the extra for comfort and better room upkeep and amenities
• Verified traveler (6/5): Fine on the road trip - This hotel is located on the main road to Chipley. Near the hotel, there are multiple fast-food chains, and a big Walmart. It is very near the highway. If your plan is to visit Washington county or you need a rest for the night on your way to/from Panama City Beach or Pensacola, this is a reasonable place to stay. I have stayed at Red Roof Inn's for more than 30 years. The brand stands, and the basics are available. The room was decent but requires a facelift.

• 37tods (2/5): Worst Hotel Experience in my life - Worst hotel experience of my life. First room had the smake/fire detectors ripped out. "Replacement" room was dirty and unkept. Floors, fridge, microwave were nasty. Holes punched in bathroom door. Light switches did not work. Hair dryer was filthy. Bath vent fan missing cover and filthy. Wall lamp inoperable. Room not cleaned the 3 nights I was there....had to provide my own toilet paper. Tried to resolve issues by Red Roof Inn management was unapproachable. Will NEVER stay at a Red Roof Inn again and will make certain no family, friends or colleagues do either.
• Barbara (6/5): - This was okay for a one night stay. It was clean, but rather bare bones. There were packets of coffee, but no coffee maker. The office is kept locked and I never saw any employees after checking in. Its on a busy road which does quiet down after 10 pm.

I came back for my car and asked the front desk to allow me to use the bathroom, or any bathroom available. He said no. That I should go to any other business nearby. Shame on you.

• Gayle (7/5): Good stay - The hotel was in a great location. Plenty of places to eat. The room was clean and comfortable. Chelsea at the main desk was very friendly and accommodating. We would stay here again. The only thing we didn't like, is there is only one chair in the room, and its an arm chair. There isn't any seats to be able to sit at the table to eat at. Eating in bed, is not good.

• Cavanaugh (1/5): I was humiliated and embarrassed because of the molded filth. - Location It was molded!!! The pillows were filthy and stank. They were molded and put inside a clean pillowcase. Dog had chewed the trim of the door, holes in wall, tub fixtures were not attached to the wall. Because of the mold, my daughter and I had an asthma attack and still feel sick today.

The rooms are dated to be sure. But it was comfortable enough. It felt safe, staff were professional. We had three rooms. No one complained of anything odd. No bedbugs or anything like that. It's a great location. Plenty of parking. Not all rooms have a fridge. Which I think is a little silly. We were told something about being grandfathered in. But I know fridges are not very expensive. They should make sure every room has one. Do a better job, mopping the floors.

The bed was pretty comfortable. It is an older building. I wish the room had a little more lighting. The lightbulb was burned out in one of the lamps too. Housekeeping did not clean the room on the second day.

• Daniel (8/5): Great staff! - I could not be more pleased with the friendliness of the staff. That is very important! The room looked nice and tidy. The bed was very comfortable. The only thing that would be an issue if l was going to nitpick is that the vent in the bathroom was dusty and there was a little dust buildup on the floor molding area around the toilet. We will probably stay there again in the future.

The bathroom is clean but needs some work. For the post part, we like this place better than some others around the area. We will be back.

• Leonard (8/5): Not bad but could use some improvements. - Hotel is older but under renovation. Being close to I-10 there we’re traveling contractors staying overnight. Many were loud into late night early morning. Electrical outlets worn where plugs would not stay plugged in. Vent fan in bathroom did not work. Biggest complaint was the bed mattresses were extremely uncomfortable making restful sleep near impossible; lumpy and creaky springs. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Convenient parking with several good restaurants & fast food places close by.
