Livia (8/5): - Bring Fido Very disappointed with my stay at Drury Hotel in Gainesville. I stayed for 4 days with my dog and was charged $65 per day for the pet fee, which I found excessive considering the overall experience. While the hotel is technically pet-friendly, dogs are not allowed in the elevator or common areas, which makes traveling with a pet very inconvenient. The room itself was okay, but housekeeping was poor. The beds were never made during my stay—only the used towels were removed daily. This was especially frustrating since my dog was not left in the room, so there was no reason to limit proper cleaning. Additionally, despite using the “Do Not Disturb” sign twice, housekeeping still attempted to enter. The breakfast was average, nothing special. On a positive note, the staff was very friendly and polite. The amenities were also disappointing. The swirl pool and sauna had almost no water pressure—just hot water, which made them unusable. The regular pool was fine. Overall, I paid $914.59 for 4 nights, which I consider very expensive for the level of service and comfort provided. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again.

Marcoux (10/5): This will be our go-to place for future U of F visits. - We liked the proximity to U of F, the complimentary evening "snacks" (more of a meal!) and drinks were a great bonus. The staff was very helpful in suggesting places for us to visit and in checking that we were happy with the accommodations. Parking limitations. During our stay several work crews stayed at the hotel and used over a dozen parking slots for 3 to 4 work rigs. The hotel staff told us that they do their best to prevent this but it's difficult.

f7ac44ba24c972a6ec1791570f76545a (4/5): An overpriced, uncomfortable stay that felt more like a noisy roadside motel than a hotel worth the cost. - Nothing really other than it being close the the convention center I had to go to. For the price I paid per night, I expected a much nicer room. Instead, it had a strange “clean but dingy” odor, and the beds were extremely uncomfortable and lumpy. I felt grimy the entire time. I’ve never stayed in a cheap motel, but that’s exactly what it felt like. To make matters worse, it’s right next to I-75, and the walls are paper-thin—you can hear everything. Overall, it was a terrible experience. I could have paid less and stayed at a much nicer hotel just 10 minutes away.

The breakfast had some issues. One day the biscuits were really hard and seemed to be leftovers from the day before. The second day they did get better. I did wish there were better beverage options and variety in the evening.

Lynne (8/5): - Convenient location , clean comfortable room, nice happy hour drinks and snacks, I was disappointed the beverage station had no options other than coffee soft drinks and water. Most hotels offer tea and or hot chocolate with hot water available. Extremely busy and crowded due to multiple sports tournaments in the area. The walk-in shower was very slippery. My husband slipped and fell and I nearly fell as there was no mat or anti-fall coating. Could cause serious injury although thankfully that didn't happen.
