Isaiah (9/5): Great hospitality , great value , great location. Unique. - The staff were excellent and made you feel very comfortable, the cleanliness was great. Room 5 was great and unique but the room was made for shorter people as the restroom doorway was low and I hit my head a few times and the shower head was about chest height. (I’m 5,11). The room was also alone on the outdoor patio and you could hear people having a good time right outside the door.

Kelly (1/5): Terrible. - Room was falsely advertised as having a bathtub. Was not provided option for room with bathtub even though I asked immediately. Room heavy with chemical smell. Changed room to one that did not seem to have smell, but only because AC was on full blast. Turned off AC and went to dinner. Returned to chemical smell. Emailed hotel and booking.com at 3am. Could not sleep. Found another hotel and left Lafitte at 8am. They did not accept responsibility and did not comp room, even though I moved out the next morning (had 3 nights total) into another hotel. Should have provided a refund AT LEAST for the nights that I did not stay. Room not as described and did not have one of the key asks for my stay.
Zonia (5/5): It was okay since I was not in the hotel all day, but out visiting sights, but cold room, no soap. - I liked that it was an old hotel with history, and character, and that I could walk to Jackson Square and the cathedral from there. They waited for me even if they knew I was arriving after 10 pm, but after that the desk clerk was already off duty. I did not have soap in my room, it was too cold, and I was provided an extra blanket, but I had to get another one myself later from their laundry closet. My room had a chandelier light, that went dim the following night and I was not told that there was a dimmer switch I could have used to get my light to be brighter. But since it was dark room, I could not find it, and I did not know there was one. I tried to turn on the TV for extra light, but none of the stations were working.

Stuart (10/5): Great vibes, nice people, old time charm. - I liked everything about the place, from the location and historical nature to the staff on site. They were friendly and very helpful and accommodating, even when I had trouble maneuvering my too large for the area pickup truck. The room furniture has an antique and historic vibe that I loved and the balcony was a nice place to chill and take in the skyline. I loved the quaint and old timey feel of the bar area, including the guy playing piano music. And it's all on Bourbon st. It was very hard to get my truck in and out of the parking area. That's my fault for though, it's the quarter, not the suburbs.

We didn’t like the broken window because it made the noise all the more loud. I know we were going to hear the bourbon street noise anyway, but it is just something to mention.

Small touches could have made the experience better, such as better lighting to get to our room which was outside. Removing paint from the wood floors in the room. Changing out the toliet seat.
Shashi (10/5): 10/10 stay - Excellent location on Bourbon street and in the heart of French quarters. Gives a very cottage vibe but modern at the same time. Has a lift so that’s a huge plus. I stayed in the top floor room and had a good view from there. The bar across the street is always buzzing. So if you like music and you’re in New Orleans for that pub hopping, music scene or just to chill, then this is the place to begin and end the night at the piano lounge which has live music nights also. Rooms are nice and cozy and so is the bed. The bathroom is well stocked and also a beauty in itself. Nothing really, except one has to head out for food all the time.

I couldn’t make my trip a year ago and this property does not do refunds but they did honor my credit for a year after my intended trip date. I worked with Guy to arrange my new trip and he made it happen! All the staff I worked with both over the phone and at the hotel were truly kind and accommodating. And to top it all off, we had the most beautiful room with a balcony seeing down the entirety of Bourbon street! We didn’t have any ghost experiences, but I will be returning whenever I come back to New Orleans. Thank you Lafitte Hotel!
Amy (10/5): Cant go wrong - Great place to stay close to Bourbon Street away from the chaos! Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants, bar downstairs and next door and late night food options. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The room was clean, had a fridge, and the hotel had older historical charm, really liked having a balcony, we really enjoyed our stay! No complaints
Joseph (10/5): Old New Orleans Original. Perfect - Our Cruise Ship was going out of New Orleans so we decided we wanted to spend a couple of days enjoying New Orleans. Our stay was wonderful and we really enjoyed the historic value of this hotel and the area that it is in. If you are looking for a luxury hotel then this not the hotel for you. If you are looking for a wonderful hotel that has the charm of New Orleans then this is your place. We loved everything about it and the staff was excellent. Thank You

I was told that out of town guests that parked in the residential area had five week nights before receiving a parking ticket. I received a ticket on week night two. Please, park your car across the parkway. The room was/is beautiful. It was worth my stay. I was locked out of the hotel in the afternoon, so keep your door code handy.

We didn’t even get an uber besides to and from the airport throughout our trip. The best part, though, was the staff. They were incredibly helpful and kind, especially given that it was an insane weekend to be there (Super Bowl)!

Richard (10/5): Great place to stay! - This was a great place to stay on the quieter side of the french quarter. The staff and bartender's were exceptionally gracias and helpful for all of our needs in New Orleans.

Ken (10/5): My wife and I cruise out of New Orleans quite often, and we always stay at the Lafitte. - We love the location on Bourbon Street, and we always stay here because the staff is always exceptional! Our only complaint is room 24 has a VERY bad toilet placement. It is right in front of the door, and very uncomfortable to use the restroom!
Louise (4/5): - I realize when staying at an old hotel that things won’t be perfect, but when the sink barely drains and the temperature in the shower is hard to adjust (super hot) and the water pressure is minimal, that doesn’t make for a good stay especially at that price. The people were nice and accommodating, but the room conditions weren’t worth what they charged.

Heather (8/5): Mother/daughter trip - The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful from parking assistance to giving information about getting around the city during our stay. I forgot my card with my code to get in after hours and the front desk clerk answered the phone promptly and helped us get inside the hotel right away. The only drawback is the hotel is in dire need of repairs and the room was pretty stuffy but not unbearable since they provided a box fan to circulate the air.
Patrick (8/5): Great location but a bit rundown - Location and size of the room was great Elevator did not work and we had to carry 4 bags up three flights of stairs. Hot water pressure was terrible.
Kathleen (8/5): We had a great time in NOLA. The location was perfect and we loved the decor of the property. Most of the staff were sup - The property was old and historic which was exactly what we were looking for when we booked. We had a balcony room that looked over Lafitte’s blacksmith bar and bourbon st. The electrical outlet in the bathroom didn’t work at all. The water pressure was low and took a long time to heat up. The fridge in our room didn’t work.

Sarah (10/5): Best location and staff in the Quarter! ⚜️💚🤎💛 - Amazing location on Bourbon! Right in the middle of fun bars and food. If you want a great experience in the Quarter and an amazing and helpful staff, look no further. Will definitely stay here again. We were here for Red Dress Run and y'all made it amazing! Only downside was that the hot water wasn't always working, but I don't come to New Orleans for perfectly working hot water. If you want a normal shower, stay at the Marriott. Also I had no problem with it, but if you are a light sleeper this is not the hotel for you.

Schrock (10/5): Amazing. Loved the room, linens, towels. - No breakfast offered. Parking = $60/night. (No in and out available) Ice machine not available for guests to use... staff filled it.
Zach (8/5): - Charming old hotel right in the heart of town. A small parking lot, as to be expected, but the attendants do their very best to make it work! WiFi a bit patchy in certain parts of the hotel - my room was accessible via an outside balcony - but more than compensated for by the location. Would happily stay again.

Megan (10/5): We would stay again in a heartbeat. Great place and staff. - Beautiful place. We loved the history of the hotel and the location was perfect. Only complaint would be the bathroom was small and oddly setup but the house is very old so I don’t even like to bring it up really.
Cindy (10/5): - For a Space to stay on Bourban street but still quiet...this is the place if you want a bit of historical vibe. It is an old historic building, so everything is older but quaint. The room was just what we wanted for 2 beds in a walkable space without staying in a brand new location. It was just what we wanted. Close to all of Bourban street and a close walk up a few blocks to the main square and the French Market. The staff was super nice and we could park the car for $30 a night which is cheap in this area. The AC worked great and we always had a cool spot to duck into. It is also right next to the very historic Lafittes bar.
