• Lloyd (9/5): A wonderful, basic, quaint, hotel at a great location and with an awesome host - My wife and I were extremely satisfied with our stay at the Doron Hotel. I can't say enough about the host Kostas, who is likely the most warm, friendly, and accommodating host we've ever encountered. One morning we had to get up extra early for a tour and Kostas made sure breakfast was ready for us before the usual breakfast time. He clearly wanted to make sure that we were happy there. The room, the location, and the breakfast were all great. This is a quibble. I would have liked it if there was a way to make the bathroom less dark at times, such as for shaving.

It was decadent to sit on the terrace and enjoy breakfast made by his daughter. The hotel is a minute walk from the beach - super quiet and very comfortable. From the moment we arrived until we reluctantly departed, Kostas consistently went above and beyond, providing exceptional service with a genuinely warm and friendly demeanor. Every morning, we were treated to a delightful breakfast spread meticulously prepared by Kostas himself, featuring fresh fruit, delicious pastries, coffee, and yogurt. He was incredibly accommodating, even allowing us to enjoy our breakfast and linger in the dining area well past the typical breakfast hours. Kostas's thoughtfulness extended throughout the day. After long, sunny days at the beach, he was always ready with refreshing cold water – a truly welcome gesture! He even offered to arrange a taxi for us to get to the beach, demonstrating his commitment to making our stay as convenient as possible. And the chocolates left out for guests were such a lovely, personalized touch. The hotel itself is perfectly situated, just off the main road leading to the port. This ideal location is fantastic for anyone looking to explore the town or easily access the beautiful beach just outside. Beyond the comfortable necessities provided within, the hotel's exterior boasts stunning flower trees, which provided a beautiful backdrop for many of our photos. We can't recommend this hotel highly enough, largely due to Kostas' outstanding dedication to his guests.

Our host Kostas has helpful recommendations for tours, beaches and dinner: Ammos restaurant and Plaka beach and a 1/2 day tour of the island! • Emanuele (10/5): Exceptional - We really enjoyed our time in Naxos and we feel lucky to have stayed in this lovely hotel which feels like home, thanks to the warm and kind hospitality from the owner Kostas and the assistant Lena. The breakfast is fresh and delicious, we loved to take cappuccino, greek yogurt with cereals and honey everyday, and we could add bread with jam, fruits, juices, some sweets and greek salad. Additionally, everyday was offered personally for free at least a bottle of water and fruit to take with us to the beach. The room is well cleaned, with a nice balcony and air conditioner working very quickly. Of course very important to us was the location, which is excellent, just close to the old town (Chora, where also all shops, restaurant and bars are) and the port of Naxos and very close to the beach Agios Giorgios. Also in front of the port of Naxos is very easy to take the public bus going to the main other beaches of the island (in Plaka, Agios Prokopios etc.). Nothing

The rooms are large and pretty, and the balconies are lovely and peaceful to sit out on. The breakfast is generous and delicious. Any reasonable request (laundry, transport) was taken care of with no stress at all. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again, but next time, we will make sure to stay longer! There was nothing to dislike!

The room and bathroom are very big (powershower!) and cleaner than clean. I slept like a rose every night. Also the balcony is great, so spacious, you sit under the pink flowers, and of course.... the breakfast! Fresh fruit every dag, vegetables, yoghurt, cereal, Greek sweets & cookies and more, all local products. Water as much as you need it, you don't even have to ask! Or a little wine... :D Kostas and the ladies where very, very nice and welcoming. Kostas gives you great tips what to see, which beach to go to, what nice restaurants are. I forgot something in my room when I left and he came to bring it to me in the port!! I felt so welcome, happy at home and safe here as a solo traveler, on Naxos but especially in Delfini! Hopefully I will come back here next year! Nothing, everything was beyond great :D!!

• Anonymous (10/5): Relaxing beach getaway - The location is perfect just a 2 minute walk to Agios Giorgios beach and 10 minute walk to Chora where all the shops and restaurants are. The best part was Kostas and his staff. The hospitality was amazing with cold waters, fresh fruit, yogurt, coffees, pastries etc. for breakfast. I don’t know when he sleeps as he is always there to help in any way with recommendations, calling taxis etc. The rooms were very clean and the balconies were amazing with the most beautiful flowers on the island. We would sit out there having our breakfast and enjoying the summer breeze. Thanks again for accommodating our large family with ages ranging from 4-78. Nothing. Anything we needed Kostas provided.

Driving up in a taxi straight off the ferry to be told they are over booked "but I bought you a 3 star hotel".... it was not at all what we had wanted or planned for. Dark and busy road. We wanted a sweet quiet room on a quiet road.. but instead we were at some other random hotel across from a moped rental company. We never would have booked that hotel or location. We did not have a choice. Or warning. And I was embarrassed. My partner works hard and we have limited time away together. We planned our accommodation and time away carefully. In the end, we spent as much of our time away from the hotel as possible.. and then thankfully moved on to our next booking early. We didn't get to stay there. We didn't have a choice. We were not warned. We booked months ago.
• Sophie (10/5): Relaxing - Greek hospitality beyond all expectations! Kostas is so kind and serves a full breakfast at his cozy lounge. The greek products that we tried was a beautiful start of our day. The room was very clean and the best part of the hotel is the balconies with the pink bougainvilleas that make your day!
• Brianne (8/5): - Very cute hotel! We spent the 1st night in a small room but once folks checked out we were moved to a more spacious room. Super easy 3min walk to the beach and about 10min walk into the port and old town. We were able to walk to everywhere we needed. Host was hospitable and always offered bottles of refreshingly cold water when arriving back from a hot day. He was very visible and willing to offer recommendations. The breakfast was nice. There isnt a large common eating space so we ate on our lovely balcony. The air con wouldn't stay on at night so the room got warm and stuffy. Overall nice stay and would recommend as a mid-range option for couples.
• Anonymous (10/5): Great place to stay and a great value! - perfect location, extremely close to the beach and a 5 min walk to the main area. our host Kosta was so friendly and very helpful with anything we needed. I needed our laundry done before we left for Athens and he simply made a phone call and 5 minutes later someone, showed up to take our clothes to be washed and then they brought them back eating next morning. the veranda was also a bonus , I loved sitting out there in the comfy chair and reading.
• Anonymous (10/5): Perfect location, family friendly, superior service - Doron delfini is a beautiful, family friendly hotel with a perfect location- just a block from the beach and a short walk into town. The rooms were inviting, clean, and comfortable. Kostas and his team is what makes this hotel. He went above and beyond for our family and made traveling with kids so much easier. If you are traveling with young children I HIGHLY recommend (ours were 2 and 6). He had a crib set up, packed us a fruit bowl for the kids for the beach, iced bottled water all day every day, and pastries and fresh fruit for breakfast. He treated us like family and made sure our every need was met. I would stay here again in a heart beat. Thank you kostas and team!!! The property was great!

• David (5/5): Not as fulfilling as expected - Breakfast was fine if you were a vegetarian or of continental decent. The location wasn't bad at all although it was 20 mins from the port and not 10 it was 10 mins from the harbour and the beginning of town but a further 10 mins to the ferry port. There were quite a few beach tavernas and restaurants in the vicinity which was very handy. Well, toiletries were provided on the first day and that's it they weren't replaced during the next 9 days, all hotels generally replace these items daily, ,there were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room something I haven't experienced for many years now in fact there were only two plugs in the room one of which was taken by the portable fridge which went off after removing the key fob when going out for the day so a nice cool drink on the balcony when returning was a no no, there was no drawer space which is fine if like most people you were only there for one or two nights living out of a back pack and unfortunately the bed was very hard resulting in sleepless nights and a bad back at the end of the stay. I don't know what passes as a hotel in Naxos but I wouldn't put this establishment in that category I have stayed in much more comfortable and better equipped b&bs. I feel quite bad having such a negative response to your request as the host and his staff were really lovely and couldn't do enough for their guests but I have to speak from my own personal experience and appreciate that many people will have an opposite opinion.

Great folks at the property! - The gentleman and woman at the property make this stay amazing. it’s an economy lodging with first class staff and treatment. breakfast was a beautiful spread! it felt very Greek to us. the island is an amazing destination. the location is perfect to walk to the port and all the happenings in town, as well as the beach. loved it! the AC was temperamental. so it got hit while sleeping and one of the mini fridges was inoperative.

So close to the beach, including beachside restaurants, and easy and very safe walk from ferry port. 2. Lovely family run Greek style ( doesn’t feel like a generic hotel ) , incredibly attentive and friendly manager and family which is brilliant for solo travellers. 3. Breakfast included which I chose to have on my gorgeous bougainvillea covered balcony each morning . BUT WAIT THERE’s MORE . Coffee , tea , fruit available all day ! Free water . What a lovely addition. 4. I often didn’t want to leave my balcony (ground floor , see photos ) ! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

• Judith (9/5): Lovely little boutique gem. - If you are looking for a ritzy hotel with pool, gym etc then this one may not be for you BUT, if like us you appreciate small, personal, personable, family run hotels this might be perfect for you as it was for us. Breakfast is excellent - cereal, fresh fruit, pastries, bread & condiments & fresh coffee made to order. The owners are extremely helpful & obliging. The location is excellent right by Agios Georgios (excellent swimming & restaurants right in the sand) yet only a ten minute walk into the centre of Naxos Chora & all that offers - shops, restaurants, port, bus station & the castle. We really enjoyed our six nights here. Naxos became much busier the second week as Greek schools went on annual holidays.

You will be given water bottles as often as you need as you should not drink from tap. Great showers, spaceous, holds constant flow and temp. Bed was little squeaky and there was no hair dryer in the room. Rooms were a little echoing. Overall the stay did exceed expectations.

• Therationaldutch (8/5): Beautiful stay in Naxos with an extremely friendly host - We were the last guests of the high season and the only occupants of the hotel. The host, Kosta, was extremely helpful and hospitable. He speaks in a very soft voice and his English is not very good yet he tried to help us as much as he could. He was also very flexible with check-in and check-out times. Location of the property is absolutely fantastic. There is a beautiful beach right in front of the hotel, not more than a minute's walk away. The property is conveniently walkable from the port and the downtown area is easily reachable with ten minutes of walking. All shops and restaurants are nearby. WiFi reception was good and the bed was comfortable. On both days Kosta put out a nice breakfast platter for us and did his best to cater to our tastes. The room we stayed in was very small. There was hardly any space inside the room to use for walking. Shower water would often flow outside the showering box into the main bathroom space. Neither the air-conditioning worked nor the TV. There were workable remote controls for both of those though. There was no water kettle or coffee maker. The bathroom sink had a mild clogging problem. There weren't enough bedside electrical sockets.

• Susan (8/5): Our stay in Naxos - In a great location - steps away from the beach but handy for nightlife & shopping. Easy to find on foot (we are familiar with the area though). Our ground floor room was clean and comfortable. The bed was on the firmer side, our preference. Our bathroom was small but manageable. There were nice decorative touches and toiletries were provided. There can be noise but I feel that’s down to the respectfulness of other guests rather than the hotel. No wifi issues during our stay. Breakfast could be taken to the balcony or eaten around reception. It worked well in the space they had and everything was fresh, well presented and served by lovely staff. Very healthy and enjoyable. We liked the hotel. The only reason we have held back from a higher score was that upon arrival (we booked last February, paid in full, confirmed arrival 3 days prior) our host sat us down and said we would be staying elsewhere but could come back for breakfast. There was no room for us. His mistake. We were not happy. We were willing to look at the alternative but if it wasn’t what we would have booked we would refuse and take things from there. He went to check if the alternative accommodation was ready but upon return he informed us we did have the room we booked after all. All a bit odd as 2 hours later the booking company contacted us to say they’d been informed we couldn’t be accommodated! By this time we were in the room. I’m not going to speculate further what was behind this but we were left feeling a bit uneasy and it’s not the sort of start to a stay we expect.
• Reham (8/5): Good stay in a hotel close to the beach. - The hotel was very decorative with a lot of flowers around A nice balcony in each room where you can sit or hang on your clothes Location is good, not too far from city center. like 10 min walk to city center and max 15 min walk to the ferry Owner is a nice guy there is a beach which is 3 min walk from the hotel there are restaurants close to the hotel, a supermarket, etc, Breakfast was fine but limited options . Mainly Greek salad, toast, cereals. so after 2 days I was bored and started going outside for more options I arrived one day later than my booking because all the ferries stopped due to high wind. Owner refused to refund that night though he knew it is beyond my control. that was not nice of him. There is no elevator, rooms are on first day so a few stairs need to be taken. Do not move with heavy bags.

• Mihai (10/5): Unique hotel , old town charming streets , full of happy people, excellent vibe. - It is exactly what you need in a holiday time. It exceeds the money we payed. Water, coffee ,juice for free at discretion. Healthy food, an impulse to change your life. Special thanks to Costas, Towels changed every day, free beach towels, Costas at your service 24 hours each day. Do you need an umbrella to go visits virgin exotic beaches by car? No need to buy one, Costas will provide . The balcony is paradise, full covered with flowers, shadow, cool temperature. Restaurants and tavernas meet all expectations. We stayed 10 night , but we regrets we didn't stay one month . For sure will come back next years. Once per hour , internet broke down for 1 minute, than recover. But is the same problem all over the island.

• Donna (10/5): - We loved our stay at The Hotel Doron. It is a charming spot, conveniently located within walking distance to the port, restaurants and shops. The owner and proprietor Costas was so warm and welcoming, answering all of our questions and giving us a lot of nice recommendations. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the morning breakfasts were wonderful. We had a hard time saying goodbye.

Highly recommended!

Stayed here for our last night on Naxos although we had paid to be somewhere else because it was getting very quiet. Very local to Naxos town and just a few metres from St Georges beach. Our room had a huge bed and a pretty balcony. Kostas was an excellent host and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was lovely, lots of fresh fruit, pastries and great coffee
