- Thomas (8/5): - Rooms are very small, but relatively well appointed. Hotel is kind of quirky. Rooms are accessed by a single elevator that worked intermittently during our four day stay. Location is the major selling point. Staff is friendly. We did not take advantage of hotel’s breakfast.

I could not get the front desk. The sink area in the bath area had no place to put anything. The water in the shower jumped from cold to scalding! I was very disappointed and would have moved but I would have lost alot of money. Hotels.com did help me get my money back on a second reservation when I learned that I may have to return home early. Thank you for that.

Ok for one person or a couple staying for a few nights. Could hear outside and next room but street is pretty quiet. Overall is OK for the price. But not my favorite. Bed is comfortable.
- Leah (8/5): - This hotel has mostly positives -comfy bed, blackout curtains, great shower, quiet area, lots of nearby restaurants and shopping, and very cute decor! Front desk staff was also friendly and the elevator was convenient. The L’Occitane products in the room was also a great touch! Cons -there wasn’t any laundry service available. The listing on Expedia was inaccurate for this and I had to spend an evening nearby at laundromat. I also arrived during a heatwave and the 1st night of my stay I realized the thermostat in the room was locked and unable to be adjusted. The next day the AC was on and running for the rest of my stay. I think it was 1 system for the entire building so it couldn’t be adjusted in individual rooms. My room was tiny but worked well as a solo female traveler. Good stay for the location and price even considering the couple minor inconveniences!

This hotel is top notch, clean, modern, amazing location, and friendly. It’s located in the heart of it all a few blocks from the Louvre however the street it’s on is relatively quiet. The rooms are modern and nicely appointed— they are super small. That is my only negative, my partner and I had difficulty maneuvering around such a tiny room. I had a large suitcase and he had a medium sized one. The entire room (including bathroom and shower) is the size of a small… very small bedroom. I would absolutely recommend this hotel, it was wonderful! Next time I would get the largest couples suite.

- Natalie (10/5): - Absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Crayon Rouge! The decor was everything!!! This place is an art, vintage, and literary lover’s dream. The staff was very nice and helpful with recommendations. Everything was clean and tidy, and felt very safe walking to and from the hotel. You can also leave your luggage before check-in and after check-out if you’d like to explore Paris before departing. It’s a short walk (10-20 min) to the Louvre, Musée de L’Orangerie, and Musée D’Orsay. About the same distance on the metro to some really fun thrift stores in Marais. I got around and back quickly and safely as a solo traveler. It’s in front of the Banque de France so it’s pretty quiet at night, perfect for myself since my room was on the second floor. I slept like a baby.

- Jennifer (8/5): Great hotel close to Louvre - This was a fun boutique hotel close to The Louvre. It was within walking distance to lots of shops and cafes. The room was spacious and decorated nicely. There was a blow dryer and bathroom amenities from L'Occitane. We had only two issues. Our main complaint was the bed. My husband and I both had sore backs as the bed was very firm. Shower was also small with a shower enclosure that moved. It was near impossible not to leak water all over the bathroom floor as the shower enclosure did not contain the water and shower was curbless. Overall impression of this hotel was great. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again especially if they had mattresses that were more comfortable.

Pros - location is great, within walking distance of all the sights - staff are friendly Cons - rooms are very small (I know this is normal in Paris) but this was super small - if you switch the lights off at night and have plugged your phone in it won’t charge, this was infuriating to wake up to. - construction started at 8.30am and the e could hear this very loudly in the room - temperature during the night went from hot to freezing.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Great option when you need that A/C - I chose this hotel because of the air-conditioning and location, and for that it was perfect. I did not need much space or a view. I had issues with the shower and the shore door that were not addressed, and there were issues accessing anyone at night time.

- Amy (6/5): - This is a super cute hotel in a superb location and the staff was very nice. We were able to walk from the train station and also walk to many of our destinations. The only time we used the Metro was to go to the Eiffel Tower and that was really simple to use. The reason I'm giving it 3/5 stars is that we returned to our hotel room at 9:30pm in complete darkness, we had to use our cell phone lights to see anything. None of the light switches worked and no one was at the front desk to ask for help. There was a sign with a phone number to call for assistance, but when we called the number a message was played and then it clicked off. There was simply no one to help with this issue. Fortunately, we didn't have much to do and went right to bed. My advice is to make sure you know how to use the lights when you first arrive and someone is at the check-in desk to ask for help, if needed. Other than this, the hotel was fabulous. We had the breakfast package and the food was yummy!

Loved the chalkboard walls of the elevator. Breakfast was also yummy ! Highly recommended as it is close to the RER/Metro and the Louvre.

Unfortunately the internet connection was terrible during my whole stay (5 days) due to technical issues it seems. Still not acceptable in this day and age. The bed could be more comfortable as well, it is on the firm side (at least for me) and the street on which the hotel is located is quite busy, and the window don't block entirely the outside noises.

- Christian (10/5): Perfect business overnight stay. - perfect little stop for an overnight or weekend. Location can’t be beat for the price. Staff were extremely helpful. Will definitely be back. To note room is quite small even by European standards.

- Thomas (10/5): 4 nights in Paris! - An excellent stay. Great staff, great location. Two points for constructive criticism. Our room was quite warm and we weren't certain our air conditioning was working (thankfully it was winter so it didn't matter and we didn't raise it with staff) and our main shower was a little weak and possibly in need or repair. Nevertheless would still recommend. Lovely, quirky, pleasant staff. Perfect.

They did put 2 of us up around the corner at their other property. Their staff was wonderful especially Lucas. He could not have been more helpful. The breakfast was fantastic. It really is a sweet place to stay and would stay there again.
