Seche cheveux endommagé Absence de prise anti moustique ( "embarqué par les clients" d apres la réception) C était pourtant la 9 e fois que nous venions au Koulnoué. Le restaurant du soir etait satisfaisant cependant
• Adrianna (2/5): Bad Experience & Customer Service - even we were not able to get to the hotel because of storm and floods and we contacted the property to confirm the refund, they still rejected. Very disrespecful, i would not recommend to stay and support those kind of people.
• Muriel (6/5): Sejour agréable malgré des manquements. - Accueil peu chaleureux à la réception.Absence d'information sur l'hotel. Pas de matériels pour le tennis ou des raquettes en piteux état. Serviettes de bain propres mais tachées. Site agréable cependant. Buffet convenable.
• Ruediger (8/5): - Die großzügig aufgeteilte, weitläufige Anlage liegt traumhaft schön am Strand in einer atemberaubend wunderbaren Landschaft; wie man es sich in einem kitschigen Prospekt über die Südsee vorstellt. Die Bungalows sind praktisch und angenehm in der Größe wie in der Ausstattung. Wunderbar die Terrasse mit Blick auf Palmen und Meer. Da Doppelbungalows, bekommt man zwangsläufig den Nachbar auf der Nebenterrasse mit. Wichtig: Wifi ist in den Bungalows entgegen der Angaben nicht möglich; stabiles Wifi gibt es nur in der Lobby. Das nervt, ist ärgerlich und sollte klar gesagt werden. Dann doch lieber die sündhaft teure Tourism Card des staatlichen Telekomanbieters OPT nehmen (50 Euro, 25 GB, 3 Monate, Netzabdeckung gut). Ebenso wichtig: In Sachen Verpflegung ist man auf das Hotelrestaurant angewiesen (Dinner-Buffet knapp 40 Euro)! Denn Hienghene ist ein kleiner Ort. Es gibt nur ein Restaurant mit einer eher garstigen, unfreundlichen Wirtin, bei der das Essen vorab reserviert werden muss! (Hinweis: Dabei sind die Menschen im Norden von Grand Terre alle durchweg herzlich, liebenswert, freundlich, aufgeschlossen und hilfsbereit. Wer also einen längeren Aufenthalt als ein oder zwei Nächte beabsichtigt, wird sich zwangsläufig immer im Hotelrestaurant mit dem sich wiederholenden Buffet versorgen müssen.

• Antoine (8/5): Séjour au Koulnoue, attention au service - Séjour en famille en bungalow avec piscine privée,. Les bungalows sont propre et spacieux. La literie est confortable mais il n'y a qu'un petit oreiller par personne dans le lit, un peu plat… Peut-être faudrait-il les changer ?... Concernant l'accueil, la réceptionniste est charmante et souriante. Le buffet du soir est complet comme le petit déjeuner, large choix et pour tous les gouts. Le bémol est sur les serveuses du restaurant. Quasiment aucune ne sourit, une forte impression de les déranger, peu aimable et qui te montre le frigo pour te servir seul une carafe d'eau… Très déçu par ce service … Le cadre est magnifique et permet le dépaysement total.

Very untidy, messy - looked like the resort was deserted - weeds and long grass everywhere and building looking old and drab. Was your lawn mower and weed eater broken?? Website photos gave false impression. It is a great concept and location on the beach but the whole resort needs an overhaul - all the activity area were also very unkempt. Very limited dining options - buffet ONLY for dinner and breakfast - and we never eat buffet but had no choice here as no other restaurant option nearby. Took a long time for checkin but Staff at reception were very helpful and friendly. Didnt appreciate the staff entering our room (3 x times) though without knocking!! Arrived at unit and only had 1 x teabag for 2 x people. Safe was locked and loose - not secured to anything - had to tell the guy who came to unlock it what he had to do to rectify it - he didn't know it needed a 'master key' to unlock. Had group of youths screaming and running around and knocking on our door and running away at 9pm at night and then again waking us at 6.30am talking and laughing loudly outside our unit while rolling joints and smoking. Not our best choice of accommodation while in New Caledonia.

• Evelyn (10/5): - A wonderful holiday resort in an absolutely stunning location. Our bungalow was beautifully presented, with a perfect view from the terrace. We enjoyed swimming in the pool, mini golf, badminton, basketball and snorkelling across wonderful coral from the beac( right by the hotel. The restaurant served delicious food and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Views from our room overlooked the water and a couple of islands. Food was good with a local produce, fish and meat on the menu. Service was excellent, staff were pleasant and helpful despite the language barrier.

• sonia (8/5): chouette hotel mais restauration trop chère - Nous adorons cet endroit qui est un vrai bonheur pour les enfants, qui peuvent jouer dans le parc en toute liberté, avec des activités libres variées. Le seul hic est la restauration, avec obligation de diner au buffet le soir sans autre alternative, donc 4100 F par adulte et 2050 par enfant, ça n'est pas abordable surtout quand on reste plusieurs nuits d'affilée.

• Jean-Pierre (8/5): Séjour inoubliable !!! - Nous sommes arrivés en pré alerte cyclonique mais le personnel a été aux petits soins pour nous.Ce n'était pas prévu au programme mais nous avons dû annuler notre réservation à Koumac et rester 1 jour de plus à Koulnoué.Et surprise, Catherine la directrice , avait appris que nous étions en Nouvelle Calédonie pour fêter nos 50 ans de mariage, et un gâteau noue a été offert avec chanson et bougies. Un grand merci pour cette délicate attention.

Restauration très médiocre.Pas un jus de fruit frais alors qu'il y a des mangues ,des bananes,des pommes lianes partout dans le pays!!

• Verified traveler (10/5): - From the smiling and efficient welcome, the varied meals using local produce, the lovely ambience and the prompt service, we found little to displease. The buffet at the weekend was a highlight of gastronomy. Nevertheless, we do have suggestions for improvement:- • We stayed for four days, and were well occupied. However, we noticed that most people rarely stayed for more than 2 nights. Accordingly, we would suggest that there be a greater emphasis on promoting activities in the local area. • We acknowledge that the Hotel did have a walking tour around a nearby hill, but little else was suggested. • We were advised how to book with a local company for snorkelling and diving. The hotel could offer to book for its guests. • People like to have a choice of restaurants. The hotel could offer to book guests into other restaurants nearby. • There are many opportunities for hiking in the area. Maps and guides, which exist already, could be provided. • There are many scenic drives, available. Again, guides could be provided. • We were disappointed to find out only after we had left Hiengène, how important this area was to recent Kanak history. We are surprised that, given the ownership of Koulnoué Village, little information is provided about Kanak history and culture. Not even the Tjibaou Memorial was mentioned to us. • The Wifi in the room was poor. This could be improved at very little cost nowadays. • Is access feasible without a car?

• Gregory (10/5): Huts by the water - Great place to stay. I was a little early and the receptionist let me check in early. The Huts are modern with plenty of room. I had a 1 King Bed and slept great. Every Hut looks out toward the water. Definitely a place to stay solo, with friends, family or a group. Definitely would come back if I return to New Caledonia.

• Verified traveler (2/5): Never again - We stayed for 2 nights. First night was fine, but the second day at 2pm the party next door started. At 8pm until 3am there was live music. The party went on till the next morning 8am! No sleep at all that night. This resort is next to the local tribe's party place! The manager thinks it's not her problem, because the music is not made on her property. She was quite rude, and not at all helpfully or considerate.

• Jennifer (8/5): Good snorkelling - The hotel is pricey, but everything seems to be in New Caledonia. Room was cleaned late in the afternoon and coffee was not restocked, after asking for help no one returned to provide me with what I had asked for. Multiple power outages, weak wi fi. Nice snorkelling on beach was the best part of the stay.
• Mark (8/5): A great Base to explore North New Caledonia - A good place to stay. Friendly helpful staff. Main issue was the lack of screening on louvres and I would prefer a la carte choices for restaurant rather than an expensive buffet full of food I can’t eat.
• Ecco (6/5): OK - The hotel is OK. Unfortunately the beach is rubbish. Roaming dogs and cats detract from the place. The buffet dinner was poor, e.g. food not kept hot, especially considering the price (except for the desserts which were good)

• Daniela (8/5): Dive Hienghène, stay Koulnoué - Koulnoué Village is the place to stay in Hienghène, Babou Diving School is just around the corner. It is the only tourist accommodation site there except for the campground. The hotel also offers a range of sports activities such as Tennis, Badminton, Minigolf etc. for free. The buffet is great but also expensive.
• Warwick (8/5): Relaxation Guaranteed - We last stayed here in 2006 and the renovated bungalows are beautiful, a real upgrade from Economy to Business Class! The Expedia confirmation sheet said there is no reception desk but that is incorrect as their is one, with very welcoming staff. The property director even came out to meet us. He is a hands-on man, walking and talking with guests every day. And very helpful. We experienced the night-time buffet which was truly wonderful, and all eaten in a very exotic location.
• John (6/5): A seaside stop - The bungalows are adequate but in serious need of updating, looks like that might have started. In a nice scenic location on the shore.
• Andrew (4/5): Tired - Lovely location, however hotel is quite tired. Enjoyed wealking along the beach. Very quiet here, liked the cats and dogs quietly waiting for some offerings from the diners!
