Guest Reviews
- Kathleen (6/5): - The bathroom definitely needed to be redone. The tube was in needed if repair.
- james (8/5): - We stay here every other month. Great location. They are going through a renovation currently. Have not stayed in a renovated room yet. We like that they have breakfast.
- William (4/5): - Room had an overpowering smell of GLAD air freshener or something similar. It's like someone sprayed a whole can in the room.
Hot breakfast used powdered eggs that were terrible! I ate breakfast outside the hotel.
- Alicia (10/5): - Whoever was the housekeeper for 107, she did a great job of cleaning it and tidying it up.
- Abigail (6/5): - Conveniently close to the SouthEast Hospital. Personnel is friendly and professional. The drawback is the lack of options for purchasing items in the hotel. It’s a cash only hotel and they do not charge items to your room more so they accept cards. They also lack personal hygiene products so if you need anything, you have to go elsewhere. Minor and final issue, the Guest Laundry doesn’t have a change machine so you can only get change from front desk.
- Robert (8/5): Storm situation - Stay wasnt too bad, continental breakfast wasnt great, out if orange juice, waffle iron wasnt working properly but otherwise it was fine. Other thing was remodeling but thats not a bad thing. Will definitely stay again.
- Linda (10/5): Comfort Inn Dothan - The room was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was undergoing some renovation so there was minor inconvenience with that - ice machine on our floor was not working for example. One issue was the lack of electric outlets - made charging phones etc a problem.
- Jocelyn (4/5): - First room had construction debris. Second room had old being thst smelled of horrible body odor. Hsd to use the pull out sofa bed
- Victor (2/5): - I showed up after a long day of driving desperately needing sleep and they had overbooked their hotel for that night and turned me away at about 11:15 pm
- susan j (6/5): Somewhere between C+ and B- :-( - Very obvious they did not care about the property. When we inquired we were told they were switching to another brand and so nothing has been updated in some time. Bed.bedding worn and shoddy. Breakfast was poor. We often are very happy with Comfort suites as our stay places on the highway but this one was far below their standards. We ended up staying with other inns instaed for the remainder of this trip.
- Michael (10/5): Best around - We always try and stay here when we are in town but so does everyone else lol. This is by far the best place to stay in Dothan!!!
- Robert (8/5): - Staff was friendly and accommodating
- Brad (8/5): - The room was very clean, it was fabulous to have a very dark room to sleep in
Bed was exceptionally comfortable
My only wish is that breakfast could have been better, it was very salty
We would stay here again
- Janice carroll (10/5): - Nice place
- Joleen (6/5): - We always try to stay here when traveling from Florida. They have the most comfortable beds!
The only trouble is they are in BADLY need of a remodel of at least their bathrooms. We actually stayed in two different rooms on this trips and both baths had mold in them and we wouldn’t use the shower/tub. I know they try their best to clean it but there is only so much you can do.
- Kim (8/5): - We got to our room late at night and found that the tv was not working.I called the front desk to let them know my concern and was moved to the room next door with no hesitation. The front desk attendant was very courteous and wanted to make sure that we was happy.I must say that the customer service at this hotel is superb and will be returning soon.
- Virginia (8/5): - Easy, convenient , inexpensive hotel if traveling to Dothan
- Cynthia B (8/5): Poor management in Dothan, AL - Our stay was fine. Comfortable as expected.
Breakfast was nice.
Where the standout problem was literally took place in the morning when I went to return the room keys. There was a woman in leopard print joggers and white shirt with her hand wrapped up that worked there reaching her hand onto the desk to grab a pen; never once looking up to acknowledge me standing there. I was not clear on who if anyone was working the front desk but it is not the way to handle things in front of guests. It was a completely different experience from what we had experienced the night before at another actually well managed country inn and suites. Night and day difference.
- Tammy (10/5): Nice stay - Simple one night stay on the way to the beach. Room was clean, beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was decent enough. Staff was friendly. Would recommend
- Kathy (10/5): - Quiet and clean. Ease of checking in☺️
- Sandra (8/5): - When we arrived, there were a few guys smoking right in front of the door and I had to walk through a cloud of smoke to enter. A designated smoking area should be somewhere other than the front door! As I approached the front desk, two staff members were chatting and completely ignored me until they finished their conversation and one lady left. Then the other lady just turned and looked at the computer and asked if I had ID with me. The rooms was spacious and clean except a dirty face cloth was left hanging over the shower. The bed was very comfortable and temperature in the hotel was perfect. The breakfast was excellent! There were tasty omelets, two types of sausages, biscuits with gravy, breads and bagels were individually wrapped, and there were lots of cold items as well. Good value for the price paid!
- Elizabeth (10/5): - I have a special needs chid who needs a room he can be moved in. Before making reservation I asked Daphne at the front desk to see a room and she cheerfully and personally showed me one! We reserved and she ended up being the person checking us in and remembered our needs. All the staff was professional and above and beyond from the housekeeping to the front dest and breakfast service! Highly recommend this hotel!!
- Cara (8/5): - Average hotel
- Elvin (6/5): - The Inn is old and not well maintained. The bathroom was especially in poor shape. Tub needed caulking, the shower head was caked with lime, the floor was not clean. The carpet was very dirty. Breakfast was skimpy and coffee was of very poor quality. This was NOT the usual good hotel we choose to stay at.
- Chris (8/5): - Very friendly and clean
- Marianne (10/5): - Second time at staying at this property. It is convenient to get to. Staff has always been friendly. Parking is easy and has places for trailers. Property definitely needs some updating. Lamp shades in room were yellowed and cracked. Elevator was grimy. Scuffs and painting needed everywhere.
- Debra (10/5): - Andrea went above and beyond to help us during our stay due to hurricane Helene.
- Reola (10/5): - It was nice location.
- Dianna (4/5): - The shower was so encrusted in mold and mineral deposits. I was unable to shower.
- Mandy (10/5): - It was quite
- Teri (10/5): - It was an awesome stay, the beds were comfortable to sleep on and breakfast was a hit
- Michael (8/5): - The property was your typical hotel. Rooms were pretty good and clean. Bathroom could use an upgrade but wasn’t horrible. Front desk staff was there but not very engaging. Didn’t seem very happy to be there. Did not stay for breakfast so cannot comment on that area. All in all the hotel served its purpose for an overnight stay.
- Brenda (6/5): - My room was on the first floor and it was incredibly noisy till midnight. The bathroom had mold around the shower head and on the handle to get in and out of tub. Breakfast that was supposed to be available till 900am was not there at 845am.
- Angelic (10/5): - I wish they woulve had the waffles for breakfast but everything else was perfect!
- james (8/5): Overall good place to stay. - An exterior door was messed up and we had to walk around building each time to get in. Otherwise nice place. Good breakfast.
- Ashley (4/5): Disappointed - Overall the hotel itself was clean and pretty nice. The employees were not friendly, breakfast was terrible and there were bugs in my room. The pool area was dirty and pool water was super hot and clearly not clean. I asked the front desk person if they put new water in daily and she said someone came to clean the pool MONTHLY. I’m hoping she meant at least weekly. I tried to cancel my stay and they said I couldn’t since I booked through Hotels.com, but Hotels.com said I’d have to do it through the hotel. I just wanted to go somewhere else for the second night where my kids could actually have fun and not be bitten by bugs while in the room.
- Dean (6/5): - Room was not what was advertised. No spa tub, no tv in bedroom only living area no microwave, water pressure was poor.
- Martha (4/5): Better choices in town - We have a child attending ACOM for the next few years in Dothan. The school had provided rooms for us back in February and I guess this place had put on their best face - decent breakfast offerings, etc. This time, we were very disappointed. Our room was very musty smelling and walls were filthy in high touch areas. We discovered mold growing on the upholstered chair (pic). Breakfast offerings were very slim. Coffee appeared to be decaf only. We will drive across town next time we stay in Dothan, as this place is not worth the money we paid.
- Shannon (6/5): Ok. Not great - The hotel was ok, decently clean and not bad overall. The hall and lobby were insanely hot especially on the 2nd floor.
- Jane & (10/5): - Nice clean room. Staff was great
- Shelly (2/5): - I have been charged twice and despite sending in my receipt, I still have not received a refund.
- Robert (10/5): - Bed was very comfortable
- Hillary (10/5): - My family and I actually stayed here twice in one week, once on our way to Florida and again on our way home. The rooms/bathrooms were clean, and the air worked great. They have some of the most comfortable beds and pillows! The breakfast was good, and the staff was nice. If we travel that route again, we will stay here! I recommend!
- Jay (6/5): Below average - We arrived around 4:30 and checked in. Immediately noticed how dated all the furniture in the lobby and breakfast area were. The check in process was somewhat slow. We were on the second floor - I do have to say the hallway and the room itself smelled great. Our room was a standard room with two queen beds. There were stains all over the walls in different areas that looked as if no one ever tried to clean them. The toilet had only been cleaned on the seat but there were stains all around it which really is a turn off for me! My sheets had some sort of stain that was washed but had never come out- these sheets should have been tossed. All the appliances were very old, dated, scratched . There were crumbs in many different areas of the room and even a pair of dirty socks left from whoever was there last… We had a good nights sleep and the breakfast was ok. We probably will not stay again unless there are many updates and cleanliness becomes a priority .
- Shirley (6/5): - Room was not very clean.
- Denishia M (10/5): - Nice hotel with nice breakfast.
- Cindy (10/5): - One wall in room had been splattered with something and it had not been cleaned. Wall in sleep area! Other the stay was good
- Megan (6/5): - It could have been a great hotel but seems like the area was unsafe. Also when we walked down the hall, the smell of weed was strong. The room did seem nice though.
- Michael (10/5): - Nice
- Verified traveler (6/5): Disappointing - The woman who checked us in was very unfriendly, no smile, no hello, didn’t give us any information on breakfast, check out. Nothing! Plain rude! Everything else was ok, no extra toilet paper and had to go down and get it. This wasn’t a special request, it was a nessesity. Breakfast was decent but would never go there again.
- Syma (10/5): - satisfied
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing hotel! Very clean and friendly staff!
- Heather (4/5): - The elevator wasn’t working the first two days and then was out of order the last night/day. We asked to have toilet paper, fresh towels and the garbage taken out after the second night and when we returned the only thing they left was 2 towels. No toilet paper and trash was still overflowing. The room smelled like cigarettes but I’m sure it was coming from one of the other guests. The bath tub doesn’t stop up and when running a bath the shower leaks all over the floor and tub. It was a nightmare giving my kids a bath. We had to make 3 trips up and down the stairs to put all our stuff in the car when we left.
- James (10/5): - Na
- Sabrina (10/5): - It was a good experience overall. Staff was very help at front desk. I was a bit worried based off of the reviews but it’s totally the opposite of the negative reviews. I’ll stay again.
- Donal (2/5): - Clerk was rude. Made me wait until 3:00 pm before booking. ( I arrived at 2:47 ) given no direction to the room. Placed on the top floor farthest from the serving area in an empty hotel. I stay at comfort a lot. This is the worst l have ever been treated at one of your hotels.
- Daniel (8/5): - It was convenient for us. Quiet and off the main road but still within range of restaurants and stores.
- Katherine (4/5): - It is a very dated hotel
- evans (6/5): - Close to my work place. But the rate is higher than average
- Scott (4/5): - Everything was great e
- Juan (8/5): Good - Amazing
- evans (10/5): - Quiet
- Sheila (8/5): - Very nice location and great nights sleep
- Leilani (10/5): - Property was good. Just the front desk clerk was rude and always on her phone. Felt like she didn’t want to assist myself. Her customer service was terrible.
- Juan (8/5): - Next room me had music very laud at night. It Woke me up couple times !!
- Shian (6/5): - Front Desk Customer Service is so poor. Women’s demeanor was not friendly at all. I spend over $1,500 to stay and because of front desk’s poor service I was hesitant to ask for anything to include tissue. I got my own. Upon checking out I had to wait because she was on her personal phone on speakers! 5 minutes passed I had to approach and say “Can I check out?”
Please work on your front desk. Demeanor, professionalism and customer service for all people.
Women in laundry side, and room service were more polite and friendly.
- Mary (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Amazing polite staff. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast. Overall vreat stay.
- Sherry (4/5): - The front desk staff were friendly. The breakfast was good. The room was terrible. There was something splashed all over the wall adjacent to the bed. There was an old toothpick lying on the bathroom counter which tells me they had not been cleaned or wiped down. After showering, I was barefoot while getting dressed. I didn't realize it then but when I pulled my shoes off later that day the bottoms of my feet were black. I wish I could post pictures I took.
- Linda (6/5): - Outlets were not working a bit outdated, with no usb charging ports int he room.
IT is convenient for my travel and clean.
- Mark (10/5): - Great location
- John (10/5): - Very nice breakfast setup.
- Melissa (6/5): - Customer service could be better. They just give you your card and don’t say anything else. Didn’t know we had to reactivate card for second day. Front desk is talking on personal phone, stood there waiting to check out and the lady wouldn’t acknowledge me.
- Juan A. (10/5): - To Expedia: You should remove the required * here
- Andrew (6/5): - The room I paid for with a jacuzzi was not the room I was given.
- Lisa (4/5): No "tip" from us - We will not be staying here again. First strike was that we were given a handicap accessible room even though that was not requested. Not that big of a deal but it got cumulative after that. The tile floor in the entry and bathroom was coated with a slick, slippery film. We didn't feel comfortable showering in the room due to the grungy, dirty shower. There were surfaces that looked like they hadn't been dusted in months. The final strike though had to be the empty envelope we found when we got there that had a hand written request for a tip written on it! Are you kidding?? I have never stayed somewhere that cleaning staff requested a tip. Especially when the room was lacking in cleaning/upkeep
- WAYMAN HUNT (10/5): - Nice and clean facilities. The breakfast was awesome and a very detailed staff.
- Marty (10/5): Nice! - We had a great stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay - Overnight stay. Room was very clean.
- Samantha (10/5): Very Comfortable Stay - This was a very enjoyable stay. Very close to the hospital. The staff was fantastic. The room was very clean and comfortable.
- Amanda (6/5): - When we arrived the elevator was out. Our room was on the 3rd floor. They knew the elevator was out but did not tell us or offer a room on a lower level. When we went to tell them about the elevator, the lady at the front desk said she knew she just hadn’t put a sign up. The ice maker was also out on the 3rd floor. We also asked for a cot for my nephew. When they dropped it off, it would not fit in our room. Overall, surprised the hotel was rated as high as it was.
- Tony (4/5): - Elevator was broken and staff didn't am to mind....clean room but could use a re-fresh
- Cindy (10/5): - Breakfast was 💯. Excellent
- Verified traveler (2/5): Stay somewhere else - Not the best, check in time took forever, almost no breakfast at 8 am, bathroom smelled moldy and the toiletries were terrible. 1 wash rag and 1 towel in the room.
- Katherine (10/5): - We were in town for a baseball tournament. My boys enjoyed the mini breakfast options. Also, even though the water was very cold, they enjoyed having the pool to play in.
- Robert (10/5): Great Rest after a day of Travel Ball. - Our stay was excellent. The breakfast was ready to go before 6 AM. The rooms were quiet and comfortable, even though there were a lot of "Travel Ballers" in the hotel.
- Kessia (10/5): - it’s an older property that is showing some age but it’s still clean and the bed is comfortable.
- Shannon (6/5): - Front desk clerk was not friendly or welcoming in the least bit.
- Cathi (10/5): - Nice location, walked to dinner.
- Lydia (10/5): Just an overnight stay. - It was a last minute booking. The hotel was clean. The room was not that big but clean. Beds were tightly tucked. Although the ice machine on our floor was not working. Bathroom was clean. Tub has a bar but seems the bathtub needs those rubber strips to avoid fall when taking a shower. Overall, I like this hotel. Highly recommended.
- Joseph (10/5): Great - Very nice and great breakfast
- Rita (10/5): - To enter with 5 star everything is amazing. An we haven't even went to bed yet. 10 out of 10 recommend & definitely coming back
- Darrell (10/5): - It was appropriate for what we needed
- Jonise (2/5): - I did not like the fact i culled hours before to ask for a early check in snd was told i could at 1pm only to be told when i arrived that check in was at 3pm and they had no clean room in a nasty way. Not once did the young ladt ask my name just rude
- Scott (10/5): Nice room - Room was very quiet which lead to good sleeping
- Tiffany (10/5): Wonderful - From the time we checked in until we checked out that staff was amazing. They were very friendly. The hotel was wonderful. So clean and organized. The rooms were spacious and just right for our family. The breakfast was hot, fresh and delicious. We will definitely be staying there again
- Phillip (8/5): - Did not like vehicle entry to property, but understand since it is a prime location
- Tommie Miller (6/5): - I did not like the noisy tenant's walking the halls when I was trying to sleep, or when the bathroom wasn't as clean as I wanted it too.
- Jeffrey (8/5): - Clean and comfortable
- MELISSA (8/5): - Location good
