bridgerbird (8/5): Do not be put off by poor reviews - Having read the reviews before arriving I was feeling anxious about the stay. However, I honestly cannot fault our stay at the Ibis Styles. We had 2 rooms, a twin and a family, both were cleaned to a good standard and very comfortable. Location is great, set back from a busy ‘strip’ with a wonderful mountain backdrop. The shuttle to the beach is a great addition. A short walk to bars, restaurants and 7 eleven! Breakfast was busy and although varied was not to my taste, a selection of Thai foods plus the usual cereal/toast etc the staff in the area seemed very grumpy and overwhelmed. The pool was fine but seriously lacking in sunbeds for the volume of guests, a small issue as we were out exploring a lot but it would’ve been nice to get back to the hotel in the afternoon to chill by the pool. All in all, do not be put off by the seemingly unfair negative reviews, I would stay there again if visiting Ao Nang.
amyrice13 (2/5): Vile - We stayed here for 2 nights, check in was last min but smooth, we got to our room everything was covered in mould, AC lamp shades and doors. We then had someone enter our room at 7am whilst we were in bed. Immediately called reception who gave no answer to who or what, not only this our connecting door was open when we returned back after a meal. I booked through agoda who said the hotel wouldn’t comply with any complaints or offer any further assistance
michaelwB867UO (2/5): Dump - go elsewhere - This hotel is a dump. Why? The property is dated and dirty with untrained staff. 1. Check-in: Confusion - staff shuffle folders & papers and eventually find my booking - There is no customary welcome, no eye contact, no explanation - Poorly trained staff with zero communication skills is a hospitality no-no. 2. Security: Room key (once obtained) opened another room door! I accidentally swiped the door of the room adjacent and it opened! - The balcony door lock was not secure. Woeful security. 3. Pool: The photos are old and deceptive: Currently, the pool is dilapidated with FILTHY pool furniture, mold covered shower area, filthy $ cracked pool surround..a real turn off. 4. On arrival at room....no towels! Hand soap dispenser empty and dangling off wall. 5. Electrical outlets are circa 1990 -- there is an old multi line pushbutton phone attached to the wall but no place to charge phone and I-pad. 6. Entry to hotel is via a broken, oil stained, garbage strewn driveway - as welcoming as a prison gate. 7. fortunately I had to endure this dump for only one night before moving elsewhere. Go elsewhere is my firm recommendation.
H7637RPcatherinep (2/5): Don’t book you will regret it - Awful first impressions, the bedrooms and bathrooms are filthy with hair and mould. Patio door would not close tight for air con to work. No place to put suitcases or hang up clothes. This is not a four star hotel more like 2 star. Disappointed that TUI would use this hotel, have put complaint in. First hotel in Phuket was incredible, really ruining what started off as a fab holiday. Staff are friendly though 😊
johnwY9005JC (2/5): Very dirty shower cubicle - My wife and I were on our 50th well anniversary to Thailand are we staying at this hotel which was not very nice not very clean the breakfast was horrendous. I would do your self a favour an stay somewhere else.
I1945IJchristiner (2/5): Don’t consider staying at this hotel - Twin room booked through TUI to stay for a week no storage in the room and not very clean. Cleaners arrived at 5.30 at night to clean the room not good at all. No cleaning round the pool with at all with tables dirty and worn. At breakfast staff used the mats to remove the food from the table and placed the mat back. No wiping down. After this we didn’t use the buffet breakfast and sanitised hands after we left. Really poor all round
Garethblack (2/5): Ride on by - This ol cowboy fell for the pics of the swimming pool and back of the hotel. Four stars meh!! It's on a busy road with workshops to the front banging away all evening. The walls are thin enough to hear the notifications from your neighbour. The breakfast was steamed and overcooked by the time we got there. Tired cramped decor. Bit of a Premier Lodge layout. Ideal for my Muslim friends as there is a call to prayer at five in the morning. Krabi beach was overcrowded and polluted. Mrs Pardner was very ill after swimming here.
MuktaM (10/5): Basic hotel but very good location - The location is great, Hotel is basic. Our stay was for only 1 night here. The room size is small but very thoughtfully designed, had dedicated space for all the essentials. We got great weather here, it was all very cloudy and rainy. There’s a huge mountain at the back of the hotel, which looked stunning with clouds over it. We had 2 of the mountain and pool facing rooms, next to each other and 1 room was the Masjid facing. The best part here was the view and the pool side Massage, it was really really good. On a rainy day when we couldn’t step out, we enjoyed the massage without any walls around us and with the sound of the rain, it was really really good. The buffet is very basic, we got late but didn’t miss much. There are a lot of beautiful cafe’s and eateries at walkable distance, we had a great time there. The Hotel’s proximity is also good to enjoy the night market and the Beach Club’s. It’s a very short ride to any place, mostly are walking though. No complaints about the hygiene, sleep quality or the staff.
amandagS1307DZ (2/5): Disappointing & Disgusting - Thought I would share with you my experience with a Hotel Stay Booked as part of a Flight Package. I flew to Krabi on 22.10 and had a 2 Night Reservation at the Ibis Styles Ao Nang. To say the Hotel was tired is an understatement, it is in a particularly run down state and has a very poor service, particularly from Housekeeping & Room Service. Please see images of my room, floor of which was super damp upon my wakening up in the morning, I slept with Windows & Doors closed & had AC running @ 25*. Also image of items left lying outside room next door to me, which were there when I arrived 2pm and remained there till my checkout 23rd October. Room Service were unresponsive and informed me they were too busy once I finally received an answer & that I should call to Bar / Restaurant myself to collect my desired items! The staff are rude & uncaring, the property is old and tired and completely understaffed. I checked out 1 day early and made alternative arrangements.
95asmitay (10/5): Great location and good value stay - The property is in a great spot, just a short walk to the beach where the light shows happen and also close to the Ao Nang night market. The room was small but super cozy, and I loved the mountain view from the backyard. Food and drinks were surprisingly affordable too—overall a really good value stay!
whiteSpa (6/5): Our 1st stay at Ibis Aonang - This is our 1st stay here. Frankly we felt this hotel needs a refurbishment! And perhaps also proper housekeeping as well At the balcony, traces of bird droppings (should be) can been seen that it was not cleaned up for a long time(?) If nt, should say - nt on regular basis There are traces of bird droppings(?) on the railing of balcony. The bathroom has shower area and the silicon on the glass panel is so black. Room seemed nt soundproofed at all. Can hear conversations fr our left/right of room. Quite disturbing if guests on both sides of rooms are "late sleepers" or "early birds" Other than above the bed is comfy

leejD9980IA (4/5): No but no - Over priced drinks! Cheaper in Oz No mango sticky rice! Which is the special. The rooms are tiny and I so wish I’d of booked somewhere else! Glad I’m only here 3 days! The staff are nice people but all look confused, like they are making up excuses. Duh!
Weeraphon2535 (10/5): Good hotel and excellent staff - One of the best hotel I ever stayed, the room is not so big but served all purposes, all staff are amazing and very professional, I believe that the hotel has conducted a very effective training. Kudos to Khun PO ( Night shift ), Khun Jasmine and Khun Salwa for showing a good customer service. There’s one small issue that I encountered, during breakfast I saw only 1 staff run errand and no staff stand by at the cashier for welcoming guest until I have to tell front desk to put my breakfast bill in my room, otherwise nobody noticed or recorded that I purchased breakfast after check in. Overall I will definitely come back in the future
EverlastingSong (10/5): Little gem in Ao Nang - Loved my time here! The hotel is centrally located, which makes it super convenient to get anywhere – whether it’s the beach, restaurants, or local shops, everything’s within easy reach. The room was clean, comfy, and had everything I needed. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, always ready with a smile. Perfect spot for a relaxed and hassle-free trip to Ao Nang. Would definitely stay again!

Kareng22 (4/5): Disappointed - Really disappointed with this hotel. The hotel staff were quite friendly and the tourist information staff were fantastic but that where the good comments end. It is definitely NOT a four star hotel, more like a two star. In need of refurbishment in most areas. Room was tiny with nowhere to hang clothes. Bed was ok but bathroom had seen better days, with threadbare towels. Breakfast was very basic with very limited choice. We had booked four nights but have checked out after two. In a very busy area as well.
MarkShakespeare (8/5): Family friendly hotel - We stayed here for 5 nights with our 1.5 year old son. Location is excellent, about a 10 minute walk to the beach front & they do offer a shuttle bus regularly (we never used it so can’t comment on it!) Lots of restaurants and shops between the hotel & the beach. Pool was good and included a shallow kids pool which our son loved. Also a small play area but it’s in direct sun so got very hot! Breakfast is decent but some days quite busy, even at 7am! High chairs available & we are grateful for the staff for providing child plates & cutlery for our little boy. Could be more choice of food. On the note, the staff were lovely & interacted so much with our son. The only problem we had was housekeeping kept trying to come in at 3pm when our son was sleeping which meant we didn’t get out room cleaned during our time (normally not a problem but covered in sand!)

432annb (10/5): Super Hotel stay - This hotel has exceeded all of our expectations and more. The staff are amazing with a helpful smile and always cheerful. Thanks to Chen who runs around relentlessly without any concerns or frowns and always a lovely smile. The rooms are small but adequate and very clean. Fresh clean bed linen & towels given daily. Lots of bars & restaurants to choose from with a shuttle bus to beach if required. The pool area always clean with quiet times during the day. Towels and loungers available. Children’s pool that’s hardly used. Trees and Mountain View’s Faboulous massage area in the pool area and a very special thanks to the lovely Chrystal for my amazing pedicure! I would recommend this for a lovely stay in Au Nang.
seemaj27 (2/5): Book this hotel to spoil your vacation! - The most ridiculous experience you can ever have in Krabi. The property is unkept and in a stinking situation. Everything can go wrong went wrong with our stay. Rooms- pathetically small, stinking, cramped. Location- right on the ao nang road. The only apt thing. Service- here the downward starts. No bell boy, carry your own luggage. No housekeeping, need tea or toothbrush come downstairs. No housekeeping doing their job. Our room wasn’t cleaned. No reason. Food- don’t get me started on this. We ended up having even breakfast from outside. We kept hearing. Our shift is over. Housekeeping shift over. Bell boy shift over. Kitchen is closed. No property manager. No shift manager. And then we understood the problem- no leadership. All staff doing whatever they want. Never expected this kind of experience from Accor hotels. lowest standard possible and customer experience keep up was questionable in every sense.
Elsapell (8/5): Better than expected - Dreaded staying here after seeing recent reviews, however much better than expected, lovely pool area with swings/slide. Room was clean on arrival, staff nice. Hotel shuttle bus was godsend. Location was good. Plenty of restaurant/markets around Did not get our room cleaned in 4 days. Realised we did not put sign out to clean room. Would stay again
226Michael (6/5): Disappointed - Being an Accor Plus member, I persuaded my wife to stay in the Ibis Styles Krabi Ao Nang Hotel because it was in the Ao Nang area where everything was easily available. The property is alright, but the rooms desperately need to be refurbished. Also, the bedlinen and towels need to be replaced with new ones as the old were stained and torn. Service was excellent. Especially from Ms Nep and Mr Maw
Scenic39316515782 (8/5): Family vacay - Nice basic hotel with swimming pools. Our kids loved the pool area and little playground. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was OK. Maybe more different fruits to pick from would be nice. BIG plus for free 10 max person free ride to Ao Nang Beach. It saved save energy for kids to use later.
947lasseb (2/5): We had to leave 🤮🤢☢️☢️☢️ - We had to leave immediatly. This is the worst, dirty, sad, boring and nasty hotel I have ever been to. We booked 2 different rooms and both rooms were infested with mold (spores) on all the walls and courtains - the halls smell like weed and tobacco even tho its a non smoking hotel. The rooms were covered in so much heavy toilet-perfume, I felt sick, to cover up the smell of something else. The place was a health risk, and they claim to be a child-friendly place. The place is expensive too because its a tourist area. Outside infront of the hotel (hostel) was a 'beautiful" view of a sewer with rats and other pests. Stay away
steveblakesley (6/5): Needs to be closer to beach - Rooms very small no where to unpack , it’s moderately clean , pool area and reception nice , staff pleasant and helpful , unwatchable TV in room, gave breakfast a miss as it did not looo to good , small bar that is in reception area closes at 10pm , Tuk Tuk will drop you off from beach , but hotel does not let them pick you up , so it’s a walk up the hill , 100thb to beach which is a slow 10/15 min walk
Anna (6/5): - It’s located in a good central area for Ao Nang beach and buffet breakfast was good. Unfortunately our room’s ceiling looked like it had some mould and our room also wasn’t cleaned properly before our check in (had a half drunken hotel bottle of water on the bedside with no new water in fridge, had to ask reception for towels etc). Laundry was also going to cost over 1000 baht - used clean & glow laundry just down the road which was 200 baht and a good, quick service.

Jack (8/5): - We stayed here for 3 nights and it was a good middle of the road hotel. The hotel aesthetics were what you expect from a chain hotel so if you are looking for something a bit more traditional or to feel like you’re not in a standard city break hotel then this isn’t the place for you. The pool area is nice with a free towel each day. The breakfast is good and the area is clean. The beach is around a 15 minute walk and you are on the Main Street in Ao Nang when you leave the hotel. The landmark night market is an 8 minute car journey away. Overall this stay provided us with what we needed for 3 nights in a busy area.

Andy (10/5): Ibis - but not as you know it. Enjoyed our stay! - Ibis but not as you know it - really stylish, bright, airy and comfortable. Lovely pool area, pool table and breakfast was good. Rooms have a tiny balcony overlooking pool. Happy hour bogof cocktails and beers. Free shuttle bus to beach but you can also stroll there past the shops in 20 minutes. Room had a safe, air con, kettle and good sized bathroom. Really good location, great value for money.

Verified traveler (6/5): Quieter location - The good stuff - comfy beds, very friendly and helpful staff, nice pool, free hourly shuttle to the beach (except 12noon and 7pm) The stuff that could be improved - condition of bathrooms needs updating, housekeeping staff would miss cleaning our room and we had to ask several times for it to be done - they also would forget to replenish basic items like the tea and toilet roll, very noisy guests staying in the hotel that would be very inconsiderate around the pool (spitting in the drains by a couple of guests which was reported to staff) and around the breakfast buffet although I understand this is not down to the hotel, cocktails weren’t great and food on the menu was ok but pretty basic standard, we booked a twin room which was pretty small and could not have our suitcases open on the floor
Unknown (8/5): - Location of this facility was excellent. Lots of restaurants nearby. Night market right outside.
Prateek (2/5): Bad Experience !! Try some nearby properties. - I had booked, 1 Double Bed, 215-sq-foot (20-sq-meter) room, balcony with city views. But the room I was given was a corner room, had no balcony without any view. There were hardly a couple of dishes in Vegetarian and were very tasteless. The room was also stinking and the toilet wasn't cleaned properly. They took a security deposit of 1000Thb on arrival and forgot to return it during checkout and said Thankyou your checkout is done. When I reminded them that they haven't returned the deposit they said sorry and gave me a slip to sign and returned the money. The room size is slightly bigger than matchbox.

Verified traveler (8/5): - The grounds are well maintained and clean. The pool area is nice and daily happy hours are a good break in the after noon following a day of excursions. The rooms are very clean. We even watched the cleaning staff mopping the balconies. That was impressive. However the rooms are VERY small. Absolutely no place to put clothes away and there is a really weird small window with cheap, mostly broken blinds, covering it. Makes absolutely no sense as to why it’s there. It’s difficult for two people to move around comfortably without tripping over each other. There is really no personality to the rooms and the hallway reminds me of an old hospital or school. The breakfast was just OK. Not very appetizing for a resort breakfast bar. It is not convenient to the beach, although the shuttle runs once an hour. Considering there are many other places to stay in the same price range that offer better location and larger rooms I would look elsewhere if we ever come back to Krabi.
DANUPOL (4/5): The worst exp. among my 2 weeks biz trip - Front staff is un-professional and bad service mind, he didn't know whether my booking was applicable for Tax invoice nor Accor member point. And he even declined my asking for help to drop a coffee glass even the bin was behind him. In the room, overall it was clean, but the connecting door wasn't completely close (what if my belonging disappear ?), and the water was drained very slow during bathing. In addition, in the morning, some staff drilled the wall beside my room which was very annoying I really happy that I didn't paid for Accor Plus this year

Minor gripes were - limited breakfast menu, if you have a room at the front of the hotel you will be woken at 05:00 by wailing from the adjacent mosque. For some unknown reason at 16:30 everyday loud disco music is switched on by the main pool, quite bizarre. However it is a good value budget hotel.
ABDUL RAHMAN (10/5): Overall is very good hotel. - Near to halal food spot(very near to mosque) very comfortable bed, swimming pool, Malaysia style soket plug, unfortunately the buffet b'fast not friendly muslim. For muslim just avoid the buffet b'fast.

Room service has been poor as well as the receptionist hangs up the phone without trying to understand our request. Electricity restarted every 10 mins during middle of night. Breakfast was great and room was spacious.

Tiffany (8/5): - When arriving to Ibis Styles we were properly greeted with a smile and very friendly staff. Concierge was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean but my only complaint would be that it was very much smaller than what I am accustomed to. The pool area was very nice and there were many activities planned for the Songkram festival, which was on April 13. The breakfast buffet was good and a wide variety. The restaurants and markets are right outside of hotel and a short walk to the beach (or you can take the hotel shuttle).
Verified traveler (8/5): - The check in procedure must really be improve, it was a long wait despite my booking was made entirely online (fully paid and a month prior) and I arrived on the property a little over 4pm local time. Ample time to sort out room turn over for checking in new guest. However the location is great as it is up hill from the main commercial roads and plenty of Halal eateries just in front of the hotel.

No place for your suitcases either. They know that, so, they made space underneath the bed for them. So you have to pull your suitcases in and out constantly. A nightmare We've been in Ibis hotel in Europe and although they are austere they are a decent size. We were unpleasantly surprised in Krabi.
Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean modern room; albiet abit small (little storage) but you cant crumble for the price. It is cleaned daily and very modern with a decent shower. All the staff at the hotel go above and beyond. Bua and others in the resturant are especially friendly! Highly recommend the breakfast. My only complaints are you will get awaken by the mosque opposite the hotel early in the morning and there should be a few more sunbeds as people tend to reserve them with their towels so after breakfast you wont be able to get an empty one. Overall I'd recommend and would stay again if I were in the area
