• MickeyBushell (10/5): A great hotel in a great location - Outstanding stay in this clean, quiet and tucked away hotel; the place is a little dated but that didn’t detract from the experience. A total of 27 rooms and 4 villas (with own pool) meant the place was never crowded, in fact it seemed relatively empty the whole 11 nights we stayed; this meant it was always possible to get one of the 13 sun loungers on offer. Two minutes to the shops (a K Mart was the perfectly placed for drinks etc) and 15 minutes to the beach. Two criticisms only, firstly the loungers could do with renewing and secondly maybe change the room towels more than once in 11 nights. All in all, great stay, and ever so peaceful!!
• BexB73 (8/5): Retreat in the middle of all the hustle and bustle - Big room for 4 people. Beautiful view over the pool that was almost empty every day. Short walking distance to the beach and close to all the shops and restaurants. Great place to stay if you're travelling with kids. Staff super friendly and accommodating.
• Escape44486916151 (8/5): A experience stay during the Nyepi day - Nice clean property. Great location 10mins walk to Seminyak central and 20mins walk to the Seminyak Beach. The property is pretty old but the place is very clean. Thr place is well kept and clean. The hotel needs to up keep the bathrooms the room we stayed was flooded with water in the bathrokm after each bath, the bedsheet is clean.
• Suj_YR (8/5): Quiet hotel in a busy area - Just as many previous reviewers have noted, the rooms were large and clean. The washrooms seem to be dated but clean. I found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. Not a long taxi ride from the airport (~10 km). The beach is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it.
• Charles (10/5): - Lovely friendly staff. Great pool. I booked a 2 bedroom apartment & got a double storey villa type accommodation with kitchen. Excellent. Good pool. Great value. Fantastic location. Loved my 5 night stay. Would def return.
• Nerminehassan (10/5): A lovely cozy resort - The resort is relaxing and super cozy. The location is good and very close by to the beach. the room was very good and clean. The staff were helpful and nice. Basic breakfast but still nice. Pool was clean and suitable temperature. If you are ever in Seminyak you need to visit this resort.
• yolande03 (10/5): Well priced paradise - My 9 year old daughter and I just enjoyed 6 nights here and we loved every minute. The rooms are clean and spacious and the balcony is private, allowing you to be outside but not on show - great views of the mountains. Our room had two king single beds which were extremely comfortable. The amenities in the room are basic however nothing is too much trouble for the staff if you need cutlery etc. Excellent shower pressure which is a high priority for me. The pool is great with plenty of sunbeds for relaxing. The hotel is not new, however for the price and the daily servicing I can not fault it and i don't want to. The staff are on hand always but not intrusive and just so very lovely. We absolutely loved our stay here and will be back.
• HValetraveller (8/5): Good location - Good value for the price, rooms were huge albeit somewhat tired. No deposit box and very hard bed. Excellent location close to double six beach and shopping strip. Staff were very helpful, organizing drivers and even heading to the local market to pick up a traditional dish we requested. Pool was excellent, lots of children which is expected. Small intimate hotel in a great spot, will definitely return.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - Fijne oase van rust in het drukke Seminyak. Het hotel is wat gedateerd maar het is schoon en het personeel vriendelijk.
• piggyloo (8/5): Lovely :-) - Well priced but 12 nights, lovely big room.. we had 2 single beds which we didn't know (but was quite nice), the maid came in every time to clean it and it was spotless. Pool was lovely, sunbeds were fine. And it was a great location. Only little nag was the day before we checked out we paid and asked them to book us a taxi which he said he did. 5am the next morning checking out and he said they hadn't even booked us one. A few things were said and finally got a taxi. Other than that everything else was lovely :-)
• 676mollye (6/5): Nice - I was so chocked when I saw the room! It was h u g e! And the pool was enormous too haha! I think this hotel is good for families but I don’t think it got enough personality for me at least, it was beautiful and all but it was too quiet and almost TOO big at least when I was there. Wouldn’t stay here again but definitely nothing wrong with it al all! (Except the breakfast that also wasn’t bad but it just weren’t enough for not to get hungry 10 minutes later)
• Matt_Mehl (10/5): Most Convenient Location - I stayed here as a solo traveller and endeavoured to be close to absolutely everything during my stay. My agenda was to get healthy, tanned and be nestled amongst everything that was close. This place ticks every single box.It is an older property but more practical than many of the new properties I've stayed in. I have pretty much done every single thing there is to do in Bali so I just wanted a hotel that was affordable and would serve my purpose. These were all the things I loved about this place; - It was safe and felt completely private - The rooms were of a larger size and had a balcony overlooking the pool - The property is nestled amongst a traditional Balinese garden and is hidden down a lane right next to a major hotel where security often monitor the area - I could park my bike for free and the bike rental was less than 50 metres down the road - The Laundrette is also less than 50m down the road - The pool is large and you can obtain a tan without having to go and rent a bed on the beach and stay on the property during peak times with your own lounges - The property is situated off a street full of so many great places for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is also traditional Balinese Warungs where you can get even cheaper food. So much variety!!!! - There is a 24hr mini mart 70m from the property and the street eventually leads to the main beaches of seminyak where everyone goes for sunset drinks on beanbags - Hammerhead gym and the Bintang Supermarket are all close nearby and there is an ATM on the main street of Double Six And of course, the staff are attentive and
• Martinj84 (10/5): Excellent 2nd stay - This was our 2nd stay here after visiting back in 2016. This small hotel is located off the busy Double Six Street down a quiet lane, once in the hotel grounds you feel like you are a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of Seminyak. The rooms are huge and of a very good standard always hot water available and the water pressure and the 1st floor was never a problem. We had breakfast included in our room rate which was fantastic, fresh fruit, eggs whichever way you wanted them tea, coffee and toast. The main reason we came back to this hotel apart from the location was the huge pool which was never busy due to the hotel only having 18 rooms in total. All in all we would not hesitate to return to our favorite piece of paradise in Seminyak.
• quinnrachie (8/5): Lovely Stay - This place was really nice! Really spacious rooms and very clean, comfortable bed. Nice big bathroom too. We had a lovely pool view and the pool area was lovely and quiet. It was such a peaceful and quiet pool area, very relaxing! nice and near to all the shops etc.and the beach. It has a drawer in the room where you can lock valuables into.Great value stay, No more to say, was just a really nice place!
• leonsaad (8/5): Good overall - I have stayed here twice on two separate trips and love it. There may be some obvious aging in the bathrooms etc but the location, pool and staff make up for it. Its super handy to the beach and main strip of shops/restaurants.
• BeeKeyP (10/5): I am shock first - Formar i stay at jakarta where i pay 50$ but i can't get a proper room but kusuma resort is very good place to stay at crowed bali in cheap price.Very large room with ac,tea coffee maker,tv ,free wifi and balcony have a very great view of cultural kuta city.swimming pool and just near a kuta beach make a kusuma better.i loved this place ,will be back soon for long time.recommend for everyone .
• DeliaB164 (8/5): Great value, good location - Second time we have stayed at Kusuma. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, for around $50 a night it's good value. Pool is very large and gardens tropical and lush, nice balcony to sit outside. Location is good, very quiet location tucked away off the main road, lots of shops and restaurants nearby plus minimart. Breakfast is basic, staff helpful. Improvements could be made by upgrading the mouldy sun loungers and providing new bath and pool towels as they are quite thin and well worn.
• lucag_85 (10/5): Amazing Resort in Seminyak - I absolutely loved this place. When you enter in the hotel, it is absolutely stunning. Very green with a large and clean pool in the middle. The room was huge with a big balcony with a great view of trees and Seminyak. Location also great, in the middle of Seminyak, both with scooter or walking you arrive everywhere. Recommended.

• magda (6/5): Hotel que necesita ser renovado - Al llegar me pusieron en la planta baja en una habitacion llena de humedad y mal olor. Pensaba marcharme pero al dia siguiente me cambiaron al piso de arriba. Hotel al que le faltan muchos detalles como una lampara en la mesilla de noche, un secador de pelo, el desayuno es siempre lo mismo, pero sobre todo arreglar los problemas de humedad que tienen todas las habitaciones en planta baja. Personal buena gente pero muy desmotivados. Ultimos dias lo mejor que es la piscina estaba inutilizable. Lastima de hotel. Necesitan un buen manager que organice y motive a los empleados y hacer reformas.

• Regf01 (6/5): Average Hotel - The hotel is clean but they lack manpower. We were booked at the 2nd floor, there was no elevator and no staff to help us with our stuff. It was ok if you only have a backpack or a light luggage with you. But if you have several luggages, you have to carry them yourself. If youre ok with that, then go for it. Room was clean but a bit dated. Water in the bathroom is super hot and cant be adjusted. Good thing about this place is it is near restaurants, bars and souvenir shops. Also near Double Six.
• Richard (8/5): Quiet, small, close to shops/restaurants and beach - The hotel provided us with a quiet and relaxing venue which was what we wanted. Facilities fairly basic but clean and adequate, as too the breakfast (no other meals available) if a little repetative in terms of variety. The staff spoke sufficient English and were friendly and helpful. Set in a small garden just off a main road and hemmed in by other hotels we were surprised by how quiet it was. The pool was always clean and inviting. The nearby beach with its restaurants, live music and great sunsets provided us with all we needed after dinner in one of many local restaurants providing cuisine from various cultures and countries. Our one day trip around the island taking in temples, monkey forset, rice paddies and coffee plantation with driver in a private car was excellent value after negotiation of the price. All, in all a good holiday and value for money providing a needed break and some warmer weather.
• 228Kevin (8/5): Nice big room - I had a nice big room with balcony in newest section. Had good balcony overlooking the pool. No lift but did not bother me. Room was clean, had huge bathroom. Staff at reception showed little interest in their job.
• VLC1652 (8/5): Really Great Family Holiday Spot - We stayed here to meet up with family in NZ. We came from the UK. Kusuma is a very pleasant family run hotel. The rooms are large with good AC and balcony. Cleaned daily and in our experience, to a good standard. The set up is basic but comfortable. Although the hotel would be 10 years old, it has been well maintained and the gardens and pool area are superb. The pool is really great. It is big with plenty of sun beds and a covered day bed. Very clean pool and pool towels supplied daily. The breakfast is both cooked and continental. Not extensive but certainly adequite. The staff are very friendly and with a family, you felt very safe for the children to wonder around the pool and breakfast area. The location is briliant. Near the beach and shops but a little oasis up a small road. I aslo visted a wide range of other hotels whilst in Bali. For a family friendly experinece with a reasonable price tag and a relaxing lovely pool, you cannot go past Kusuma.
• LizQ87 (6/5): Basic and tired but in a good location. - I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. The hotel was in a good location. It was close to everything but quiet which is what appealed the most to me on booking. The pictures of the hotel online do not show how the hotel has aged over time. My room smelt quite damp and musky and the walls were cracked. The place had a general dated feel. The staff on reception were helpful and very welcoming and I felt very safe within the hotel. If you are wanting a basic hotel then this would be fine but I definitely saw better 3star hotels around and about Seminyak in terms of the standard of the accommodation.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Preiswert und familienfreundlich - Grosse saubere Zimmer, grosse Betten, Sitzgruppe mit Tisch, Bad und Dusche. Grosser Swimmingpool im Garten. Die Anlage ist schnell erreichbar (hinter Horizons Hotel) und ruhig gelegen. Frühstück war fabelhaft (2 Spiegeleier, 2 Toast, Butter und 2 Konfitüren, Orangensaft, Tee oder Kaffee und einem Teller mit Melonen und Papayastücke. Sehr nettes und freundliches Personal. Preis/Leistung sehr gut, familienfreundlich, empfehlenswert!
• Mathieu (4/5): Not good value for money - The hotel is very expensive for the service provided and the cleanliness of the rooms. The breakfast was a joke. They serve you one egg with a fruit platter only. The laundry was done very badly. The clothes were returned with stains. I would advise the hotel for half of the price only
• Mouna (6/5): Fair - I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Good location 5 minutes away from the beach, shops and restaurant. The breakfast is really poor, you better have your breakfast outside. There is no wifi in the bedroom only at the reception and by the swimming pool. Room are quiet big and spacious.
