- Cruiser-global (4/5): Back to the future ? - With huge respect to the hard-working hotel staff and the excellent medical team — unfortunately, I would not come back. The main reason is the overwhelming presence of Russian plancton, which gives the whole place a rather strong Soviet-era atmosphere. If nostalgia for those times is what you are looking for, you may feel right at home. The Charlestone restaurant is a special experience. Despite the fact that the food is served continuously for three hours by very professional Czech cooks, the dining room turns into pure chaos. Large circulating groups of impatient guests rush around the buffet as if food might disappear at any moment, pushing for the “best pieces” with remarkable determination. It is less a dining experience and more a live demonstration of buffet survival tactics. The swimming pool is another highlight — if your idea of relaxation is floating in a crowded, noisy space that resembles a frog pond full of loud conversations. On the positive side, the medical department is well organized and staffed by very friendly and extremely hardworking people. They clearly work under pressure and with impressive efficiency. Just don’t expect much conversation — the system feels closer to a production line than a spa treatment, though the staff deserve full respect for the job they do. So if you would like a time-travel experience back to the atmosphere of Soviet-style mass recreation, this might be exactly the place for you. For me, once was more than enough.

- Martin (8/5): - Eine prima Möglichkeit für einen (Kur-) Aufenthalt in Karlový Vary. Das Hotel ist auch gut an den ÖPNV von Karlový Vary angeschlossen, Haltestelle Sanssouci oder Švýcarský Dvůr. Bei Kuraufenthalt ist die Buslinie 2 includiert. Alle anderen müssen sich Tickets (gibt's auch im Bus entweder beim Fahrer in bar für 50 Kč oder am Automaten für 25/30 Kč, wo man nur mit Karte bezahlen kann) Für "Nur" Hotelgäste empfiehlt sich der Erwerb des Wochenticket für derzeit 300 kč, gibt es allerdings nur entweder in der Karlový Vary app bargeldlos oder zu den Öffnungszeiten des Info Büros der Karlsbader Verkehrsbetriebe - von Montag - Freitag - in der Zeyerova Straße, gleich gegenüber dem Busbahnhof "Tržnice" als Papierticket gegen Bargeld erwerben) Die Zimmer sind sauber. Das Frühstück abwechslungsreich und lecker. Im Wellnesszentrum war leider die Dampfsauna und später auch der Wirlpool außer Betrieb. Ansonsten alles top. Gerne wieder!

- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok - Slitet hotell med allt uppdelat i flera byggnader i området! Det sämsta var att ingen pratade engelska trots att det kryllade av personal och att det stod i hotellbeskrivningen att det skulle finnas. Möjlighet till spa var en pool, bubbelpool och torrbastu. Ångbastun var trasig. Fantastisk Thaimassage trots att det var knöligt att boka pga språket. Frukosten var bra trots tråkiga matsalar. Middagen var överraskande god men i en riktigt tråkig miljö. Personalen beskrev middagen som ok för pensionärer!!!! Summeringen: helt ok men absolut ingen lyxig känsla
- Escape26872796054 (2/5): Terrible experience that I do not want to repeat. - Rude , condescending personnel, Soviet style rooms, it felt like I got back to my worst childhood experiences in Soviet Union children camps. There are a number of buildings in the hotel, but the reservation does not clarify which building to go to upfront. I was greeted in Russian at the reception and although I mentioned that I preferred to speak English I was still being addressed in Russian. I checked in and immediately checked out and left to stay in a different hotel. Overall, I will never come back and won’t recommend this place to anyone.
- Gabriel (4/5): - Ich war für ein paar Tage in diesem Vier-Sterne-Hotel in Karlovy Vary. Leider entsprach mein Aufenthalt nicht den Erwartungen, die man bei dieser Hotelkategorie haben sollte. Das größte Problem war die extreme Hellhörigkeit der Zimmer. Man konnte jedes Wort aus dem Nachbarzimmer hören – an Erholung war daher kaum zu denken. Besonders nachts war es sehr störend, da andere Gäste bis spät wach waren und wir dadurch kaum schlafen konnten. Ansonsten war das Zimmer zwar sauber und gut ausgestattet, aber die schlechte Schalldämmung hat den Gesamteindruck leider stark getrübt. Für ein Hotel dieser Kategorie sollte man mehr Ruhe und Komfort erwarten können.

- Maximilian (6/5): - Ich war von der Unterkunft insgesamt enttäuscht. Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb, aber mit dem Auto ist das kein großes Problem. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und spricht auch Deutsch. Das Zimmer war leider überhaupt nicht modern. Zwar war es im Großen und Ganzen sauber, allerdings waren Haare auf dem Bettbezug... Es war auch sehr hellhörig und man hat die Stimmen und Fernseher aus den anderen Zimmern gehört. Das Frühstück war zwar wirklich gut, allerdings herrschte keine entspannte Atmosphäre. Es lief keine Musik, und man hörte hauptsächlich die lauten Stimmen der Mitarbeiter. Besonders enttäuschend fand ich den Spa-Bereich. Für ein Spa-Hotel hatte ich deutlich mehr erwartet. Es gibt zwar einen Pool, einen Whirlpool, zwei Saunen sowie ein Dampfbad, aber alles wirkt ziemlich heruntergekommen. Jede Therme, die ich bisher besucht habe, war besser. Insgesamt würde ich hier leider kein Zimmer mehr buchen.
- francescabR7411JN (6/5): Nice hotel but... - We have had an okay stay at Spa Resort Sanssouci but I would not go back. When we arrived, we could already see some difficulties in the communication in English, and luckily we knew a little german that helped us out. We had full board but we could only check in at 2 pm, when the restaurant was closed. My husband, 2 year old daughter and I headed to the bar for a snack and we ordered (with difficulties) a baguette, an ice cream and a salad. The bar lady could not speak a word of English, but we managed to get what we ordered and paid. We paid in euro cash, and we just arrived in CZ so the price we paid sound quite a lot to me, but with a 2 year old, you have no time to check receipts and menus. The rest of the meals went fine in the restaurant of the hotel, but once we were about to check in, I found the receipt from the bar, and discovered I was charged for two baguettes, not one. I tried to discuss this with the receptionist, who called the hotel manager and, after I explained this, I was basically told that "in life you should always check what you pay for". We are talking about 7 euros, so I did not continue the argument, but I did not find this the adeguate way to address a client. For this reason, I did not tip. The room was very big, furniture a bit old but we didn't mind. Very nice view from the terrace. Pool was not "spa-warm" - it was 26 degrees, but in the hotels I have been around Europe it is usually warmer. The jacuzzi was small and always occupied so we didn't use the spa. We got a nice massage instead. The hotel had a playroom which was the highlight of our stay.

The spa and treatments are good although might be a little worn here and there. Staff speaks Czech, German and Englsih and Russian. Primarily German and Russian.

I stood there for five nights,and left them ,to move much better place.Management very rude,overcharged my stay,kitchen very poor ( food overcooked,deep fry ,nothing healthy and diet to eat). Location to far and up on the hill from minerals springs.

Swimming pool - towels, sheets and swimming sticks are not available on the shelf freely, but there is need to ask for it each time. E.g. when I asked, I was given with just one. Having that it was the only one available in the pool, it is no surprise that someone else took it and I had to ask for one more, etc. There is no clear sign on the ladies sauna door itself, but just a A4 paper with small font above the door. Multiple times I've seen mans get ladies confused by entering the ladies sauna because of absense of "ladies" plate/sign. Safe wasn't working in the room. Recycle bin was broken in the bath. It feels like source components used for dinners have become cheaper. I was asked for passport whereas Czech Id is sufficient by law in Czechia.

- Anton (10/5): - Zum zweiten Mal in der Unterkunft. Mal wieder alles wunderbar. Diesmal war unser Parkplatz direkt vor dem blauen Haus und auch für nur 10€/Tag sehr günstig. Wir waren so gut wie nur zu Fuß unterwegs, Hotel liegt etwas abseits jedoch gibt es genug Möglichkeiten wie z.B. Bus oder Taxi und somit alles sehr gut erreichbar. Hotel an sich sehr schön gestaltet mit vielen Möglichkeiten (Billardtisch, Bar etc.). Personal sowohl an der Rezeption als auch an den beiden Bars (Blue- und Green House) sehr nett und freundlich. Frau von der Bar (GreenHouse) konnte sich sogar noch an uns erinnern 😊 Zimmer im Blue House etwas hochwertiger als im Green House jedoch beide Häuser sehr gut und gemütlich gestaltet. Blue House hat eine tolle Badezimmer! Frühstück und Abendessen sehr umfangreich und ist auch den Preis wert. Wellnessbereich mit Pool und Sauna auch sehr schön und sauber. Handtücher muss man nicht mit sich tragen, diese können direkt vor Ort im mittleren Haus (Villa Mercedes) mitgenommen werden. Kurz zusammengefasst, das Spa Resort ist sowohl von innen als auch von außen sehr schön. Mit dem Untergrund Tunnel zwischen den Häusern ist die Verbindung wunderbar und man kommt schnell von dem einen Haus ins andere. Parkplätze sind einige vorhanden, falls diese aber schon voll sind gibt das Personal an der Rezeption eine Adresse zu einem Parkhaus in der Nähe. Jeder Mitarbeiter des Hotels sehr nett und freundlich und helfen, wenn man Hilfe braucht. Also gerne wieder!

- Verified traveler (8/5): Angenehmer Aufenthalt - Wir sind Freitag angereist und bis Sonntag geblieben. Check-in ging problemlos. Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Betten sind ziemlich hart, besonders das Zustallbett. Eine kleine gemütliche Lampe hat mir persönlich für den Abend gefehlt. Leider haben wir am Anreisetag den Pool nicht genutzt. Die anderen beiden Tage war der ziemlich voll. Der Frühstückssaal war am Sonntag völlig überfüllt, sodass wir erstmal zurück ins Zimmer sind. Gegen 9:30 war es etwas besser und wir bekamen Platz. Da sollte vielleicht noch dran gearbeitet werden... vielleicht den Saal vom Abendessen(der ist einiges größer) dafür nutzen. Alles in allem war es für uns ein angenehmer Aufenthalt. Parkplatz kostet pro Nacht 10€

- liiliae2024 (10/5): October vacation - Perfect location for a long walkings in a beatiful parks. Not far from the City center as well. Bus Station is just a few steps from the Hotel. Room is clean and cosy. Tasty breskfast. Good Spa with saunas and pool. Personal were very helpfull. Nice place for a short vacation.

- Malte (6/5): - Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt positiv. Dennoch gibt es massive vermeidbare Mängel, wie die durchgelegenen Matratzen und der lieblos gestaltete Saunabereich ohne Ruhebereich. (Die Liegen am Pool sind hierfür nicht ausreichend, da diese gar nicht erst zum Sauna FKK Bereich gehören.) Das Essen war für den Preis vollkommen in Ordnung. Am Wochenende kam der Speisesaal abends leider an seine Kapazitätsgrenzen.

- Martin (10/5): - Das Spa Ressourt Sanssouci Karlovy Vary besteht aus 2 - untereinander mit Bademantelgang verbundenen Häusern Green House und Blue House. Mitten zwischen den Häusern befindet sich das Wellnesszentrum Mercedes welches auf dem Bademantelgang zwischen Blue House und Green House liegt. Ich war im Green House untergebracht. Hier wird für Hotelgäste zwischen 07:30 Uhr und 10:30 Uhr ein Buffefrühstück angeboten mit warmen und kalten Speisen. Mittag und Abendessen gibt es im Restaurant des Bluse House. Das Schwimmbad mit Dampfbad und 2 finnischen Saunen(1 Damensauna und 1 gemischte Sauna) und Wirlpool ist von täglich zwischen 07:00 Uhr und 21:30 Uhr geöffnet. Von Montag bis Freitag zwischen 09:00 Uhr und 14:00 Uhr ausschließlich für Therapieteilnehmer reserviert. Die Zimmer sind alle sauber und die Möbel in einem guten Zustand. Insgesamt eine gute Gelegenheit das mondäne Karlový Vary zu erkunden und die Vorteile dieses wohl bekanntesten Kurbades in Tschechien mit seinen 16(mit Becherovka sind es gar 17)Mineral und Thermalquellen zu nutzen. Der ÖPNV ist gut ausgebaut. Die Einzelfahrt kostet 25 kč/20min,30 Kč 60min mit umsteigen, die Tageskarte 24h kostet 130 Kč und die 7 Tageskarte - übertragbar - 300 Kč. Die 24h Karte und die 7 Tageskarte gibt es nur in der Verkaufsstelle der Karlsbader Verkehrsgesellschaft in der Zeyerova Straße. Das 24h Ticket ausserdem im Bus am Automaten gegen Kartenzahlung. Hat man diese Möglichkeiten nicht kann man beim Busfahrer ein 60minTicket für 50 Kč kaufen

- edonb681 (2/5): Horrible hotel, be cautious! - The hotel had a very bad reception service, with very bad information and they were throughout all the time very unhelpful. Upon arrival, we noticed that we were the only young couple in the hotel, realizing that the pictures posted by the hotel were very deceiving, showing rather young couples in the pictures. Therefore, we didn't feel comfortable to use any of the spa services of the hotel, taking in consideration the how older German folks stare at young couples all the time. We asked if they could kindly be flexible due to the aforementioned reasons and permit us a refund of the remaining night of the stay and they tried to fabricate a reason that Booking wouldn't allow them to refund the rest of the stay. We contacted Booking and were told that it is up to the hotel to decide on a refund and that Booking sent them an email confirming them that they are allowed to refund the amount. We checked out the in the morning and booked another hotel for the rest of the stay and were told that we would be contacted on the Monday after regarding the refund, since it was a weekend and no one from Reservation management was there. There came no call or email the week after, hoping that I would just forget about the refund, and after countless calls on my side, they finally told me that they didn't want to show any flexibility on the refund, although we didn't use the room and checked out, because the hotel was close to fully booked, since it's high season. The hotel was not even close to half-booked, and there's no doubt as to why. Be cautious before booking into this hotel!!!

- T5181SOmartinaw (4/5): not really wellness for me - when we arrived, there wasn’t even a parking space, so we had to park 15 minutes away down the hill, which was annoying, but ok. the pool isn’t very special and it was quite crowded. one of the saunas was really tiny and uncomfortable. to get to the pool you have to walk like 10 minutes and one elevator was broken. there are 7 stories !! and we had to wait 5-7 minutes for the elevator to arrive. every time. so to get from your room to the pool it took like 15-20 minutes which is A LOT. i think it was very clean and the rooms were nice. the buffet was delicious and there were vegan options. as a hotel it’s good. but for the wellness part, i have to say i had a lot of better experiences than here. maybe better if you are willing to book massages or cosmetics. i would not come again.

Piscine assez spacieuse...bien choisir son horaire !!! Centre ville facilement accessible grâce aux bus urbains. Excellent petit déjeuner, très varié. (salé, sucré etc...) Parking payant 10 euros par nuit ou gratuit dans la rue.

- KIHWAN (10/5): 시내에선 좀 안쪽으로 들어와야 하는데 숙소 자체는 편안하고 좋아요. - 위치가 카를로비 바리 테미널 기준 안쪽으로 들어가야 해서 캐리어 끌고 도보로 찾아가는 것은 거의 불가능해요. 버스로 호텔에 도착했습니다. 대신 공항에선 가까운듯 하고요.. 그래도 짐 풀고 시내 구경하고 다니기에는 크게 무리 없습니다. 거의 도시 자체가 산에 둘러쌓여 있어 공기 맑고 시원해서 좋아요. 처음에 체크인하려다 제가 예약된 숙소는 다른 건물이라 당황했는데, 건물이 떨어져 있고 연결 통로를 이용해야 하는데 처음 겪을때 적잖이 당황스러운 구조에요. 조식은 괜찮고요, 저녁에도 밖에서 식사하기 애매하면 호델에 추가요금 내고 뷔페 식사 먹을만 해요. 스파도 이용 가능한데 동양 사람으로서 동유럽 사우나 문화 처음 경험했는데 적응하는데 좀 시간이 걸렸지만 재밌었습니다. 방 컨디션은 깨끗하고 아늑합니다. 직원분들도 친절합니다. 2박 묵었는데 편안하게 잘 쉬었습니다.

Leider stimmten auch die Bilder im Internet nicht mit dem überein was man vor Ort vorgefunden hat. Besonders das Frühstück war enttäuschend und nicht ansatzweise wie auf den Bildern. Wir werden dieses Hotel leider nie wieder buchen. Wir waren mit einem Kind unterwegs und haben das sehr bereut leider.

- A M (10/5): Great hotel - stay here, it’s worth it. - I loved this hotel. It was a short bus ride away from Karlovy Vary centre and a world away in terms of peace and quiet. I had a comfortable room in Green House. Staff were friendly, approachable and helpful. And the tunnels! I loved the tunnels. It added a bit of mystery to the hotel.

You cannot set the temperature yourself. The staff were helpful. İn room you have kettle. But no tea or coffe. You need to buy them at hotel. Although Hotel has four stars, it does not meet the expectation. Yet it was comfortable and affordable in the City.

- Andrea (8/5): - Nice hotel, in a quiet area and in the middle of the nature. We liked the idea that the property building is divided in 3 areas. Not very easy to reach if not with the car. The public transport consists in a bus not too frequent and going up by foot from the city is difficult if you’re carrying luggages. The areas are spacious and the room too even though I would plan some renovation considering the rates applied. We really appreciated the free entry to the spa and the dining buffet option. The breakfast was quite variegated. Finally we considered a little excessive a 40€ per hour late check out option.

- Hans - Joachim (8/5): - Dieses Hotel ist in drei Häuser aufgeteilt, die Unterirdisch verbunden sind. Dazu muss man jedoch sehr viele Treppen gehen oder von einem Lift zum anderen laufen, ca. 50m , jeweils zum Essen oder Pool und Anwendungen. Wenn man dann wie Wir mit drei Personen über 70 Jahre und Fußtechnisch eingeschränkt unterwegs ist, wird das zu einer großen Belastung. Man sollte vielleicht bei der Zimmer vergabe auf das Alter achten und VORALLEN Dingen die Aufteilung auf drei Häuser anführen. Dieses zu verschweigen rechnen wir Ihnen als SEHR GROßEN MANGEL an. Leider haben wir vom Essen her, eher mehr was landestypischeres erwartet. Das Wasser vom Schwimmbecken war für uns auch leider etwas zu kalt. Aber wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Alles alt und viel zu klein für die vielen Hotelgäste -Personal nicht gesprächsbereit für Kompromisse Es war furchtbar.

- Michael (8/5): - Overall the property was nice. We didn't realize there was three properties (Blue, Red, Green houses) when we booked it. The underground walk ways made it easier to navigate as it was pretty easy to go from the Green to Blue house for dinner and to the Red house for the swimming pool. We stayed in the Green house and the rooms were pretty dated but were spacious. The dinner buffet was not the best and the hours didn't really lend to flexibility. The bar at the Green house was nice as was the bartender. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

- Carsten (8/5): Manglede atmosfære - Dette hotel ligger 1,5 km direkte op ad bakke nede fra byen. Restauranten er spisesals agtig så den spiste vi kun morgenmad i. Udvalget var udmærket. Det er et meget anerkendt spa hotel men det må være pga. de medicinske behandlinger. Balneo spa området med deres indendørs pool føltes lidt svømmehals agtigt. Der er ingen udendørs område til solbadning ifbm. poolen. Stedet manglede i det hele taget atmosfære. Vi ville ikke vælge dette hotel igen men ville prioritere at bo tættere på centrum - dvs nede ved floden eller knap så langt oppe ad bjerget. Retfærdigvis skal det siges at værelserne var udmærkede til vores behov og har en lille altan.

- kellye (8/5): Nice 3 night stay. - We had a nice stay. I would not describe any aspect of the hotel as excellent or 4*, but we had a relaxing stay. The room was fine, breakfast was good. The restaurant and cafe/bar close early. The best part of the trip was the spa/wellness area. The spa reception staff were very helpful and nice. Vladimir is a professional and we enjoyed his aqua walking class and sauna ceremonies. Vladimir was wonderful. He was our favorite person! Matuška worked hard to keep the pool area in good condition.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Old but decent! - Older crowd, older hotel. We paid for parking on-site $26 dollars a day but it was gated and secure in front of the hotel. The pool and spa was open and upon request, the indoor playroom was available (and totally ours). The underground corridors were amazing since it is really cold in November. The bus stop is right by the hotel but I recommend bringing your own vehicle. There isn’t much nearby but the restaurant buffet was open and we ordered Momma Mia pizza and it delivered. The front desk staff was nice and helped with every question/request. The hotel is older and could use some renovations but it had all the accommodations we needed. The suite was ideal for a toddler since we had two separate living spaces. Balconies were available too. There is also a bar off the front desk that has extended hours and offers full bar, coffee and cake.

- John (2/5): Wholly inadequate, needs renovation - Completely lacking in service and facilities. For a "resort" that advertises as a spa resort, this was absolutely terrible. The amenities are way too small for the number of rooms. The pool is usually so crowded you can't actually swim, the hot tub fits only four people, the steam room fits five, if you don't mind touching shoulders with the people on both sides, and the sauna tops out at 6-7 occupants. All that for a hotel with several hundred rooms is wholly inadequate. Our room was so small we had to stack the side table on top of the chair to create enough floor space to open our standard size suitcase on the floor. Housekeeping pounded on our door before 9am to which we asked them to come back a little later. They never did. The decor of the place looks and feels like a 1960s hospital. Our hallway walls were puke yellow with hideous lime green doors. Inside the room was equally unsightly and we were met with a four inch deep tub of used cigarette butts on our "balcony" which we could smell from inside. The balcony was divided from the neighbors only by a partially see through sheet of glass and each side was big enough only for a single person to stand. Staff was all rude, we encountered only a single staff member with passable English and few with passable German. To top it all off, the hotel charged my credit card for the stay even after prepaying on hotels.com. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere in downtown Karlovy Vary.
- Marianne (8/5): - Truly enjoyed my stay but was surprised that there are no thermal baths in Karlovy Vary. One drinks the water from one of many natural springs! This spa has three separate buildings joined by underground tunnels and stairs. There is bus in front or one could walk to town center. I enjoyed the walk and beautiful location. I had breakfast and dinner included and the food was excellent. Breakfast choices included fresh eggs, bacon, sausages, various cold cuts, cheeses, yogurt, fruit, oatmeal, and fresh bread and pastries. Dinner included soup and a minimum of 3 meat entrees, usually chicken, pork and fish. Also 3 different starches, vegetables and salads much more. Delicious food.
