There is a market and coffee shop that is walkable and the bus stop is right near the property. Do not hesitate to book here, the staff and hotel will help make your time in Santorini worth your while!

We stayed at this property from Oct 12-14 as we wanted to exit the busy streets of Oia and Fira. This is a gorgeous Hotel which has amazing and peaceful caldera view. Easy to find, simple check-in, Friendly staff, excellent room service and very accommodating. They have packed us a super early breakfast (4:30 am) due to our early morning flight. Highly recommend to stay here without any doubts in mind.

- Ferenc Bence (10/5): - Unbeatable views of the caldera, without the crowds that you would have in Oia or in Thera. It is much easier to enjoy the setting in peace and silence compared to the more crowded tourist hotspots. The staff were both truly friendly and super helpful, the breakfast was great (variety and quality). The caldera view room was magical - you can see the lights in the distance from your bed and you wake up to the view of the blue skies and the villages up on the caldera's edge.
- Grainne (10/5): A little bit of heaven! - We’re a family of 4 adults and we loved everything about this place, a stunning setting, warm friendly staff and a lovely ambience. Dining at The Edge restaurant was an experience to remember and the wonderful array of food brought to our room for breakfast (pre-ordered the night before) was excellent too. The family suite with private pool was worth every penny, we just didn’t want to leave.

- A (10/5): - Excellent hotel. Nice and professional staff. The breakfast is amazing. Location is close to red, black, and white beaches. Far away from congestion traffic. Around 30 min drive to the other side of the island. The room is small but nice. Private pool outside the room was convenient. Great view outside the hotel.
- Daniela (8/5): - Wir haben uns im Hotel Goulielmos sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Aussicht war einfach fantastisch und auch das Frühstück war das beste, das wir auf der ganzen Reise hatten. Das Servicepersonal ist super zuvorkommend und hat mit allen Fragen und Antworten ausgeholfen. Auch ein Willkommensgetränk haben wir erhalten, das sehr lecker war. Der Poolbereich war richtig toll und alles in allem echt schön. Auch das Zimmer war schön, jedoch nichts besonderes. Wir hatten sogar einen Balkon, das war echt klasse. Etwas enttäuscht waren wir von unserem Badezimmer. Wir hatten das günstigste Zimmer, daher ist es schon in Ordnung, allerdings sollte bei einem 4 Sterne Hotel das Badezimmer auch renoviert sein. Das Kabel des Föhns war an vielen Stellen aufgebrochen; die Dusche war komplett verkalkt; wir hatten Ameisen im Bad und die braunen Fließen wirken sehr altmodisch. Wir können das Hotel auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen, würden das nächste Mal jedoch eines der teureren Zimmer mit privatem Pool wählen :)
- NICK (2/5): Avoid this hotel like the Plague!!! - The hotels location is distant to anything- the room was like a garage- the restaurant was expensive at approx $150 Euros for two to have two bowls of rice and martinis- The staff basically laughed when I asked if we could split the total payment we had prepaid as I couldn’t stand wasting a trip To Greece on that place- we ended up not spending more than 2 hours there and moved to a new hotel- will NEVER GO BACK THERE- PATHETIC!

The food at restaurant was better than any restaurant in Fira (try the rib eye). The view of ocean was breathtaking and there is a bus stop in front of hotel for trips to Fira for 1.8 EU.

- Stephanie (10/5): The best staff - We were greeted for check in with a deliciously chilled glass of fruit juice and were able to check in with their QR code online. Dimitra, the front desk manager, was efficient, knowledgeable and kind. She provided us with a map of the island and gave us a few suggestions for beaches and dinner. The breakfast is one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had, their pancakes are delicious and so is the fruit plate and coffee. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We really were treated with so much kindness, as silver hotels.com members we even received a room upgrade without asking. We came back late to the hotel after dinner and Dimitra was working, the next morning she was working and even in the evening she was making sure the hotel was running smoothly!

- Jana (8/5): Beautiful - but Cold Pool - Beautiful hotel in amazing Location. The view is the main draw here. The breakfast buffet was fabulous! The room was very nice, but the bathroom and some areas on the grounds smelled of sulphur. The pool and jacuzzi were ice cold, so unusable. Lovely pool area for sunning and taking in the view, but not for swimming. The hotel is far from town, so effort is required to go to dinner or activities. Bus stop close by though. Good service! Area gets a lot of wind gusts too

Secluded from the noise and lights of the downtown areas but so worth it. We felt like we were at a Four Seasons hotel. This area is the Wailea of Santorini. Awesome place.

- Alicia (10/5): Honeymoon in santorini at Goulielmos - We loved this place had all the amenities you need, it was in a not as touristy part of the island so you could get a real feel for it but it wasn't far from anything. Rooms were great breakfast was awesome and you can't beat those views!
- Luc (8/5): - We traveled to Akrotiri with two other couples and stayed in the hotel for three nights. The location of the hotel was great for us as it was away from the highly touristy areas -30 to 45 minutes bus ride to Fira and Oia- yet, easily accessible by bus and within walking distance of nice restaurants. The hotel faces the caldera, with breathtaking views of the sea and cliffs . Two of our rooms were on the "sea view" side and one on the "garden view" side. To say that there is a "garden view" is a bit misleading as there is no garden and the view is of the side of the cliff leading to the road above or the laundry facilities. The rooms are comfortable and include a small fridge and air conditioning. The bathrooms are basic and clean although two of our rooms seem to have a plumbing and draining issue, which resulted in an unpleasant smell. We flagged this to staff who moved us to another room when one became available (on the third night). Breakfast is included and good. We also had lunch the day we left and it was very good. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Stayed October 2016
- Peter and Janet (10/5): Perfect Location to Explore Santorini - Hotel Goulielmos gets it right with intelligent, thoughtful staff and an ideal location away from the bustle of the island's north or the more touristy south east beaches. A stone's throw from the bus stop makes it easy to get around via Fira and the quad rental just down the road in Akrotiri village opens up all the other areas trickier to get to by public transport. The restaurants in the village are all excellent, with special mention to Pansion Carlos with its fine home-produced fare. The island's famous red/white/black beaches are very near by water taxi from the modest Akrotiriou marina and there is plenty to explore, from the ancient city dig through to the unearthly volcanic coastal landscape around Vlichada/Eros beaches. Oia is considered the island's jewel but the real interest is to be found elsewhere.
- Bon Voyage (8/5): Great Hotel - A nice family run hotel with really amazing views of the Caldera and the cliff perched villages of Oia and Fira. Well located to visit Red Beach, White Beach and Black Beach (Mesa Pigades) and the pre-historic city of Akrotiri. Breakfast is plentiful with a good selection and all the staff are exceptionally friendly. Our room was very big with a super comfy king size bed and huge double shower. As well as a small pool there is a small sandy beach below the hotel with a diving centre alongside. Plenty tavernas and supermarkets within a 10 minute walk and the bus stop to Fira immediately outside. Would recommend.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Akrotiri Caldera view - Our stay was brief (one night) but very enjoyable. The view from our large, ground level room, was spectacular--a panorama of the Santorini caldera. The rooms are plain, but have a nice feel, with attention to windows wherever possible to capture the view and the crisp architecture of this region. Refrigerators & drinking water are provided. We also had a water cooker for tea. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a late flight on our day of departure, and they were very hospitable about holding our baggage and letting us spend time in their lobby and restaurant cooling off and cleaning up after a very hot day in the main town.
- Francois (8/5): Great spot, great room (studio), just the breakf. - Great location, great room. Some apartments don't have good views or none at all; make sure you reserve "superior with sea view". Note also that by mid September and on, there is no sunset by the hotel, but this does not count in my rating though, for I had anticipated it. Not too much service, but OK. Breakfast had some variety, but. cold for items that need to be served warm; not on par with several other ones we stayed at right before. Otherwise I would have rated it 5.
- Courtney (10/5): Perfect Spot for A Greek Getaway! - Our time at Goulielmos Hotel was fantastic! The staff were so kind and did everything to make our stay perfect. The hotel is located in the small town of Akrotiri - a beautiful town with the oldest churches and castle on the island/the most authentic food on the island and most definitely the best prices. The hotel has a beautiful and very clean pool (full-service) with the most spectacular views of the volcano and all of the island. You can see Fira and Oia from your chair. If you rent an ATV/car (the best idea) you can get anywhere on the island in under 45mins. Goulielmos is very close (5-10mins) away from the Red Beach and Perissa Beach and has what we thought to be the best beach on the island within 5mins walking distance right below the hotel. The daily buffet style breakfast was full of homemade Greek dishes and left us full every day. The only negative thing that I could possibly say has nothing to do with the hotel but the fact that to get to the hotel you will have to take 2 buses from the airport (the stop is directly in front of the hotel) or a 40euro taxi. Still worth every cent. The location is away from the tourist crowds but was just what we were looking for! Would love to stay here again when I return to Greece!

- Bonnie (10/5): simple but lovely - Our room was very basic but comfortable and clean. With a door and window on each side, there was wonderful air. We had a full panoramic view of the Caldera and the Santorini coastline drenched with the beautiful blues and whites of the Greek islands and the Mediterranean. The restaurant was open late, which fit our schedule. Due to the small establishment, the menu was basic but featured local foods. The staff was at all times cheerful, pleasant, and helpful. I would definitely recommend it. The major drawback is that it was somewhat remote, but the bus stopped right at the end of the drive. We like to hike and took in the local beach and a noteworthy archeological dig.
