Room was updated, microwave, fridge, TV. Shower was small and being short didn't help. The shower head didn't move. Other than that, it was very nice. Quiet area, nice fire pits.

A cozy cabin with great outdoor space including picnic table, fire pit and a playground couple steps away. My 4 year old boy asked the hole time if we could stay there for ever... only a few points to be observed, the beds does need some improvement and carpets needs a deep clean. Absolutely nothing that reduces the quantity of the place. Whoever have the chance ask for cabin 7 the next time we visit Lake George will be our place.
- James (10/5): Definitely Worth It! - Our experience at The Blair House was great. Check in was easy and quick. The room was spacious and very clean. The property was very conveniently located.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - We were up charged $50 per night for one extra kid. Room had inadequate lighting and electrical outlets! They provide a keurig with NO k cups or coffee cups. Additional coffee maker has extremely short cord and no place to plug it in! Had to place it on the floor on the side of the bed to brew coffee! Room could also use a small table so you don’t have to prep food/ coffee on the entertainment stand!
- Daniel (10/5): It could of been a disaster!!!! - The Blair house was amazing even though I booked through hotels.com when I showed up there was no reservation and thought our weekend getaway was ruined, the owner of The Blair house stepped up and got us a room for the night and went above and beyond and got us a night at another hotel for the same price, because he was all booked for the weekend!! He turned what could of been a disaster into an amazing weekend thank you Blair House!!! Can’t wait to come back next year!!!

- Daniel (10/5): 5 stars for a clean, inexpensive stay - We have stayed in several motels over the past few years looking for something that was both nice and inexpensive. We finally found this balance at the Blair House. It's the right kind of rustic, worn but clean. We've paid literally twice the amount at places that were blatantly not even cleaned well between guests. It's obviously run and maintained by someone who cares about it, not just a paid staff. We certainly look forward to coming back!

The beds were very uncomfortable. We did get a good rate (about $35 a night cheaper than other places we were looking at) This would be a great place to stay if the rooms were upgraded a bit and replaced those terribly sagging mattresses.

- David (10/5): Clean cozy cottage near Lake George Village - We were very pleased with our recent stay at the Blair House. We had reserved the two room cottage so my wife and I shared one room and our daughter had her own room which made her very happy. Check in was fast and easy. We needed to check out early the next morning and our host was very accommodating concerning that request. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was wonderful with easy access off of I-87. It took us less than 5 minutes to drive to the village for dinner. I would highly recommend staying at the Blair House if you are visiting the Lake George area. I know we will!

- Nicole (10/5): Cozy Cabins - Our cabin was clean, cozy and comfortable. Each cabin comes with a picnic table and barbecue grill. Inside our cabin there was a TV, keurig coffee maker with coffee pods and creamer that were replenished each day, and refrigerator, so we were able to make breakfast for ourselves at the house and barbecue there is the evening. We went on an amazing hike at nearby Mt. Buck and took a nice sunset paddleboat cruise around Lake George. All in all, a wonderful stay, would love to come again.

- Kevin (6/5): - The place is rustic, for certain. We stayed in a room, not one of the separate cabins they have. The shower is quite small. At 6’2” and over 200 lbs, it’s a tight fit. The few power outlets they have aren’t easy to get to. The simple additional of a small power strip would be great! The AC unit is old; the temp knob just spins on the shaft. Finally determined I had to remove the knob. Right outside the room is a sitting area with ashtray. It must get used a lot because the AC smelled like smoke...in a non-smoking room. We’ll try other places before we stay here again.

Far enough away from town to be nice and quiet but close enough within a 5 minute or less drive to nearby shops, attractions and restaurants. Our cabin was clean, nicely decorated, and the bathroom looked newly renovated. Extremely comfortable bed too. Nice front porch with chairs overlooking a mountain and your own bbq grill. Wonderful owners who definitely care about their property, it’s upkeep, as well as your experience. We plan to come here again.

The room at The Blair House wasn’t just clean; it was immaculate. The owners are extremely friendly and warm. I would definitely recommend this mom and pop establishment, and hope to stay with them again.

It was clean and had all the amenities we needed..full bathroom,fridge/stove,fully stocked kitchen with pots, pans, utensils, tableware, television, charcoal grill outside. We thought the beds were comfortable. Community fire pit close by onsite. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Short drive into town and grocery store near by. Downtown was clean and quaint, with several restaurants, steamboat cruises, a historic fort, hill for hiking, nice views of Lake George. The cottages are located just outside of the downtown area and up enough from the road that you don't notice vehicles driving by. It was peaceful. We enjoyed our stay.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Classic lake cottage - My boyfriend and I loved this sweet little cottage! Very charming and a great value. We went off season and it was a great location. Didn't bring the dog this time, but it's great that this was a pet friendly place, and a very friendly greeter dog in the main house! A strong wind storm came through the night we were there and we are happy to report the cottages are structurally sound!

- James (10/5): Motel stay - The property is in a very good location and is well maintained. The room was ver clean and comfortable. We had a suite and it was very nice. It has a futon and recliner in the main area which was a nice surprise. The bed wasn't the most comfortable that I've slept on but was adequate. Overall I wound give the Blair house a high rating and would highly recommend it to family and friends. The owners were also very pleasant and I coins tell that they take great pride in their establishment.

- Lori (8/5): Great Stay! - We enjoyed our stay at The Blair House. It's north of the downtown area so was quiet and peaceful. The cabins had everything we needed except a box of Kleenex, which we brought in from our car. The little front porch was perfect for enjoying in the evenings since we were lucky and had very warm weather for September. The fridge and Keurig in the cabin allowed us to eat breakfast before we headed out each morning. A binder is provided in the cabin with a list of restaurants and local attractions. We tried a suggested restaurant called The Log Jam, and it was amazing! After a day full of local activities, heat and lots of sun, we stopped at a Pizzeria just across the road from The Blair House and got take out for a late dinner. It was delicious and provided us leftovers for our long drive home the next day. If we're ever in Lake George again, we would certainly return to The Blair House!

A larger person would have a very hard time with the amount of room in the shower. Otherwise, for a short stay, it was great for us.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Quaint cottages near busy Lake George - This is a quaint little set of cottages located near the busy main streets surrounding Lake George. The location is great, especially if you don't want to be stuck in the middle of all the people and traffic near the lake. It's a quick 5 minute drive if you do want to visit those attractions. The cottage itself was very small and the furniture was old, but it was clean. The bed wasn't the most comfortable, but it was adequate. There wasn't any soap in the bathroom, which was disappointing. I've never stayed at a place where they did not provide soap. It is reasonably priced for what you get, so I got what I expected. Overall, it was a good place to stay for a quick layover, but I don't think I would want to spend all of my vacation there. The service is excellent and I think it was worth what I paid for it.
- melodie (10/5): Great value , cute cabin - We stayed in the 2 bedroom cabin. The floor plan is spacious and kitchen is good size. Our only complaint would be that the air conditioner was in the front room and you could not close the doors to the bedrooms or it would get hot. Maybe fans in the bedrooms would help. Also, needs handsoap and a nightlight in bathroom.

- Carol (8/5): Nice cabins a few minutes from the centre - Stayed for 1 night. Received a warm welcome. Ample parking, the cabin was spacious, clean and comfortable, the free wifi was good, there was a bar-b-q and bench for each cabin and it's just a couple of minutes drive to the centre of Lake George. A good motel-alternative and would happily stay there again.

- Rachel (10/5): Very hospitable - Scott and Michele were so welcoming and very hospitable. We needed to get some things printed out and they were more than happy to help us print them out. They even gave us disposable cutlery when we were in need of some and couldn't get to the store. But more importantly we appreciated how the bonfire they set up for everyone our first night there. We could tell that they really took the effort to make sure all their guests were well taken care of. We'll be sure to book our stay when we go back to Lake George next year.
- Christine (10/5): Cozy and cute! - My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night and I wish we could have stayed longer! We stayed in cottage #3 which had a queen bed. The cottage is very cozy and quaint with air conditioning if need be. When we arrived, the windows were open to let the summer fresh air in and everything was clean and welcoming. Our room had a Keurig with coffee, cream, and sugar and a refrigerator. The bath towels were so fluffy and smelled so good! There was also a large TV and free wifi! The couple that owns the place is super nice and you can tell they put a lot of TLC into The Blair House. It is less than a 5 minute drive from The village of Lake George, very conveniently located! We will be back for sure!

I've been going to lake george for years, this was the best money I have spent. They have campfires at night and outdoor activities( badminton, can jam, playground). Me and my wife would stay again.

I hesitate because others will soon find out how great it is and it'll be hard to book again due to being booked so far ahead , but hey , they actually should be , that's how nice it is! - Rebecca (10/5): Wonderful place for a getaway to the lake! - We loved our stay here. The cottage was just the cutest. It was very clean and comfortable, so much better than a motel. It was also quiet, as the cottage was a good distance from the road. There were clean grills to cook on, picnic tables, a large green lawn, etc... The family that ran it were very friendly and helpful. It is a 5-10 minute walk into the village. We will definitely be coming back!

Everything we were looking for, for our weekend getaway. we look forward to try to come back and stay with the whole family next time around.
- loretta (10/5): Enjoyable stay - This was a very pleasant surprise for a small hotel/cottages, loved that it was close to all the attractions in Lake George but yet a little away from the hustle and bustle. A very quaint little hotel/cottages, very cute and homey. Staff was the owners and couldn't ask for more pleasant people. We stayed in one of the hotel rooms for 3 nights, it was very comfortable and quiet and reasonably priced. The grounds were beautiful, we will be making several trips to Lake George and plan to come back to The Blair House.
- Anne (8/5): Lake George - Close to town, and northway. Need a table or some counter space in room. We also had problem with electricity and had to relocate Hester and refrigerator to different areas of room to keep them running. A real nuisance.
- Eka (6/5): You get what you pay for - Friendly owners but the room is too small. The bed kept rolling when we rest our heads on the headboard to watch TV. Very basic accommodation. $15 per dog for this basic accommodation is too steep, especially when nightly rate is only $60. Not recommended and will not return
