• Rebecca (9/5): everything you could ask for. - What a gem of a hotel! Steve is the perfect host and truly couldn’t do enough for us. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and the beds are incredibly comfortable — everything you could ask for. A special mention has to go to the breakfast: fresh, delicious, and made with local produce, which was a real treat. 100% would recommend, and we’ll definitely be booking again!
• Jan (10/5): Perfect ! - Perfect! The warmest welcome, super quiet location. Beautifully furnished rooms immaculately presented. Bed was so comfy. We would not hesitate to book here again. It’s an absolute gem. Can’t thank Steve and staff more for making us feel so genuinely welcome. We will definitely be taking advantage of the dining option when we stay again. Nothing !

• Tom (7/5): Decent stay with room for improvement - The room was of decent size for a short stay. The bed comfortable. Lots of parking outside. The shower had issues. The water was either burning hot or freezing cold. There was no in between. Some of the appliances such as the tap in the bathroom were broken. Mould around the shower tray and door. The walls are thin. We could hear the upstairs guests too much.

• John (9/5): My Frist trip to Wales. - The owner was very friendly and picked me up from the train station. The Breakfast was very good. The chef was very friendly too. The beds was very comfortable. The shower didn't work. The owner told to pull the the wire. That worked.
• Jane (9/5): A delight for foodies, comfy quiet rooms - The location was really lovely, staff very friendly along with the other guests which made my visit very pleasant and had off street parking. Facilities were good, a quiet room, good shower etc, but it was the food that really impressed me. Our host is a wonderful cook, who told me that he loves cooking and started in 2018. It really shows, I have many allergies and intolerances making it a pain, but he cooked a simple but delicious chicken dish followed by desert. Breakfast was also beautifully presented and tasty too, the best I had all trip. I highly recommend trying

• Angela (10/5): Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, loved the people and the place. - A very relaxed and lovely place to stay. At times I was the only person staying in the Hotel, but the owner and staff could not have been more kind, pleasant and helpful. My room was exceptional, as I was placed in the bridal suite at no extra cost. The breakfasts were very tasty - prompt service, done very smoothly, and plenty of food and drinks, nothing was too much trouble. At times no staff were on duty, so the offer to help oneself was available, as long as a note was made of what was taken.
• Leanne (10/5): A fabulous spot that we’ll return to. - It’s a beautiful hidden gem. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. The bar downstairs is the perfect place to have a quiet drink. The staff are very welcoming. Just wished we’d organised to have dinner here… that 10 hour Welsh lamb sounds amazing . Nothing
• Emyr Wyn (9/5): - Breakfast excellent. This is a country house surrounded by a very ordinary suburb. This suburb is largely invisible from the grounds, but you emerge into narrow roads of little distinction. "You're doing great. Keep going...": don't patronise the participant

• Guy (10/5): Comfortable hotel which puts you at your ease. - This is an ideal place to stay if you are after a hotel which looks after you as an individual, if you want an impersonal chain then don't bother. The food was high quality: breakfast large and tasty, dinner more up-market ... you won't need lunch. Not really a criticism but the road down to the hotel is narrow with parked cars. And that's all I can come up with as a criticism.

Great communication from Steve ensured our stay from start to finish was seamless. Marius welcomed us and was fantastic. Our dinner was excellent and prices reasonable. We had a spacious and lovely decorated room with great facilities.

I arrived and my bags were taken up to the room for me. Room was fabulous, bathroom lovely. Really nice period features with ornate ceilings and stained glass features. Bed was like sleeping on a cloud! Top notch linen used. Took me a bit to work out the shower so wasted a bit of water.

Sharon was another lovely happy face…. everyone knew my name, it was like staying with family and all genuinely lovely people. exceptional value!

• Kate (3/5): Ok hotel but definitely not worth the price - It looks lovely from the outside. Staff were communicative ahead of & during the booking, despite not seeing them in person It wasn’t made clear that the bathroom would be separate to the room (I.e. require me to go into the corridor & take a key, every time I wanted to use it.) The double bed was actually 2 singles pushed together. The room & bathroom both required maintenance (dodgy tap, missing loo roll holder, unfinished appearance where work has been done) & both needed a good clean- there were cobwebs, dust, the windows were dirty, there were hairs & dead insects on the bathroom units. Not the hotel’s fault but useful to know if you’re a light sleeper: there’s machinery nearby that seems to be operated for the most part throughout the night - it sounds like there are large rocks in a cement mixer, going round & round!

The place created a friendly atmosphere that I have already recommended to colleagues. We could not get a signal on the TV in the room but it was not overly important as we were not there to watch TV.

There was no dinner available when I arrived but I arrived quite late and it was a short walk to find dinner. Breakfast was great. I would stay here again, no worries.
• Danielle (10/5): Beautiful hidden gem - Llwyn country house is a beautiful property. Location was perfect. Rooms were beautiful and the bed was comfortable. We had a room overlooking the garden which was stunning. Staff were kind and friendly nothing was too much trouble. Extra complements to the chef absolutely amazing delicious food cooked perfectly with no complaints from me or my partner. Would definitely return in the future it’s a hidden gem… Nothing to dislike

Upon arrival, Steve gave us the warmest of welcomes and was always willing to help, provide friendly advice and recommendations whenever needed. Marius is also a wonderful host; he cooks fabulous breakfasts and the dinners he cooks are delicious and of an excellent quality. All of the staff at LLwyn are friendly and helpful. We felt completely at home during our stay at this lovely property and highly recommend it.
