Right on the river, with a beautiful view and within walking distance of just about everything you’d want. 3 min walk to the supermarket and less than a 5 min walk to the ponte vecchio. The apartment was incredibly clean and family apartments were amazing communicators leading up to our arrival and during our stay. Family Apartments made our stay even more enjoyable, making a Florence one of the best experiences we have had so far on our trip.

We came back 1.5 hours later at 3:30pm and the apartment had not been cleaned yet. We sat in the room while the cleaning crew cleaned the apartment for over an hour. This did not fit with our itinerary and was disappointing.

Apartment was spacious, clean, well stocked and close to all the sights. Staff were very helpful before and during the trip. It was our family’s favorite accommodation on our trip. - Brent (2/5): Unsafe, smoker rooms. - We tried checking in right before 8 pm. No one was there. They were almost impossible to get a hold of and threatened to charge us extra for checking in “too late”. When we finally did get in the room reeked of cigarette smoke. Our youngest has severe asthma so this was impossible. We attempted to explain this to them but they told us that was our problem. Finally, after 45 min a woman who lives on the property (they told us no one could help us). Came to show us another room. That room also smelled of cigarette smoke. The entire ordeal lasted over 2.5 hours and ended up with us leaving after they became belligerent and threatening. Between the asthma and feeling unsafe we left. They and hotels.com refuse to refund our money despite the inaccuracies of this property.

You are right on the river, directly across from the Uffizi Gallery, and just a 5 minute walk to cross the Ponte Vecchio. Pure pure magic. The apartment was very very spacious, clean and well maintained.

Beautiful design and decor, lovely kitchen with all supplies needed, friendly staff at check-in, lovely view of river, very close to sites, restaurants, and grocery store, and very clean. Also stocked with some toys that my children really enjoyed to make it feel more like home.

It was an excellent location - easy walking distance to everything and incredible views over the Arno River. The apartment was very nice, clean, modern, and inviting. - Michelle (10/5): Amazing Place to Stay - We are a family four and the apartment was perfect. Location is on the river one block from Ponte Vecchio and across from the Uffizi. Half a story above ground so elevator not needed and only a few steps to walk up. Apartment was VERY spacious, clean, new. Special perks were the washing machine, kettle for morning coffee, smart tv, large bathroom with plenty of counter space. This is a one bedroom with a pullout sofa in living room for the kids. Would definitely stay here again.

- Lilly (4/5): Apartment could be cleaner. - Our experience with the apartment was not great. Our flight was delayed and first thing we did was contacted the property manager. They informed us someone will be there until 7:30pm for us to check in. At 6:20pm someone from the property called us and said they are leaving at 6:30pm. The person we spoke to was rude and told us get here in few mins they are going to leave. We shortly arrived and the property associates gave us the keys and left. He did not show us around the apartment. He was more worry of going home. The air conditioner and washing machine did not work. It took 2 days to fix the air conditioner and it was still not cool in the apartment. We couldn't open the windows because there was so much mosquitos. The washing machine did not get fixed until day 4. We stayed for 5 days and it was not a pleasure. The apartment was so dusty. We noticed it when our cup of water sitting on the table for few minutes there as dust on the top. Also, the water system in the bathroom was awful. When the water is running warm/hot for 2 mins it will completely turn cold. I would not recommend my friends or family living here. Lastly, which is very inconvenient. You have to go to another location to pay for the cleaning fee and tax. We had to make a trip out to their central location which was not near where we were going. Not a good experience.

- Emily (10/5): Perfect location, friendliest staff. Fantastic sta - Easy to find apartments, we arrived from the train station and it was about a 20min walk from there. We were welcomed by happy and helpful staff. Shown to our apartment, the building was lovely, well kept and very clean. Was the perfect size for the 5 of us with great views of Florence. The apartment was well stocked with towels and essentials like toilet roll, the only thing that we would suggest to improve is a couple more pans for cooking in the kitchen. We enjoyed our stay very much, wishing we were staying longer in our comfortable and perfectly located home from home. Every where was withing walking distance including a super market which was of great convenience. On returning to Florence we would definitely look at staying again with Family Apartments! 😁

Supermarket and restaurants close by. Large bedroom and bathroom, comfortable lounge, and very well-equipped kitchen. Would definitely recommend. Loved the old lift.

Just a couple of things we noticed - we were a group of 6 and we found that you could only have a 30 second shower each or the hot water system did not cope at all. There was also a rather strange smell in the apartment which was there when we arrived and didn't go away as we expected it would.

- Adam (8/5): - A lovely, large apartment. There was a stroller and high chair provided in the apartment and the staff was helpful. The location is beautiful. Watch out for hidden fees--late check-in (30 euro), cleaning (27.50 euro), and city tax (per person). Our place was tidy but the carpet was quite dirty. It also was not child-proofed--unsecured windows, toxic products in reach, etc.

Good location just the other side of the river which is better as it's slightly quieter. The lift could do with being a bit bigger but it's an old building so I guess you can forgive that.
- S (4/5): Good Disappointing stay - Our experience was disappointing as I did not expect Expedia to offer such facilities. We had noted that check in ended at 7:30 PM and since we were arriving later, we called the service and they told us there is a charge of 30 Euro for check in after 7:30PM. It was not stated earlier or in the Expedia listing. The apartment location is good as it is close to the old city. The amenities were bad. Only towels were available but there was no hairdryer. A used soap bottle was in each bathroom and no shampoo. The drains in both showers were getting clogged. If you check out by 11 AM and need to leave later, you have to haul your luggage to their office in the city by cab as there is no concierge to keep it for you. There is a check in and check out person only. Building is old and rustic. Elevator is scary. No daily cleaning is provided. Apartment is cleaned once it is vacated and 10% of total charge is taken for the cleaning in addition to the booking cost which seemed pretty high.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Was a great spot for a family holiday. A few hundred metres from the crowds which was just far enough away. The apartment was very spacious with two separate bedrooms and a separate lounge. The staff were also very helpful.
- Devons (8/5): Perfect Location - This apartment is in the perfect location. It's a walk to most sites that you would want to see. Main Bedroom is lovely. Generally the apartment is very nice and spacious. Something's need a little attention. We booked this a self catering apartment for 2 night because we were touring Italy and had stayed in 4 hotels already. We didn't want to use the cooking faclities but we wanted to mainly wash and iron clothes as we had packed lightly for our trip. The washing machine door handle was called completely broken off so it didn't work. The owners did offer to wash out clothes but that really was not the idea and not what we had booked. Would stay here again if visiting Florence for a weekend because it is in a perfect location but not really a self catering full functioning apartment. Just needs a little attention to detail and would be perfect all round.

- Steven (10/5): Wonderfull family room - We stayed in room 5 for four days and had a truely wonderful stay, very clean, welcoming and delightfully furnished. Very large rooms, 2 bedrooms, (single bed only in the second room so our second child used the sofa bed which was fine) separate lounge, kitchen and two bathrooms), fully equipped kitchen, good (free) wifi, washing machine/ iron, and great views. The hotel is very central being only 1-2 min walk from Ponte vecchio, and there was a small supermarket just around the corner. We can not speak highly enough of the hotel staff - especially of Paolo (the doorman/porter) who was incredibly helpful and friendly. The hotel is right next to the river so very quiet in the evening. We dropped our hire car off at the airport and caught a taxi E$25 to the hotel. While parking can be arranged with the hotel - given everything is easily accessed by walking better not to have a car. Hotel is about 20 min walk to the central station - but at E$13 (10 mins) by Taxi. There is still some road works around the corner - mentioned by others - but this is just re- paving and was not an issue.
- Michael (10/5): - Decor is a little outdated, but it was comfortably spacious. The area is a quieter but still nice. The office was generally accommodating and helpful, even during off hours. Our only real issue of note was a cleaning that was scheduled at check-in never happened.
- saleem (10/5): Great location and historic building - Location wonderful with Arno river views. Right next to the Ponte Vechhio. Easy walks everywhere. Great places to eat. Nice room suite and kitchen. They did charge for cleaning which was a bit unexpected.

- Lynne (10/5): Fantastic apartment - Location could not be better. Two minutes walk from Ponte Vecchio bridge and with views of Uffizi gallery. Excellent restaurants close by with a special mention for Trattoria Ponte Vecchio where we had the most amazing meal we have eaten out in a long time. The price was reasonable too not much more than in a less up market trattoria. It cost 60 euros for a 2 course meal for 2 including half a carafe of house chianti which came in a bottle for a change. I had the house special pasta which is topped with truffles absolutely delicious and must also mention the host was most charming.
- igor (10/5): Simply fantastic - We stayed in Giotto - a huge appartment with 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, full size kitchen and sat TV. What is even more important the appartment is just across the river from Uffizi. Fabulous view that immediatelly makes you feel elated as soon as you look out of the window in the morning. Importantly, unlike many other centrally located appartments it has a luxury of lift.
- Bruce (8/5): Overall a nice place to stay. - Large rooms. Two bedroom two bathrooms. Easy to get to town and nice view of the city. There were several light bulbs out and the washing machine didn't work.
- Je (8/5): Nice hotel close to Uffizi museum - We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and had wonderful time!! Well technically It is an apartment. great location, great view looking over the Old bridge, and reasonable. We had some complaints though. The building does not provide heating during the night (11pm-6 am- the room was not cold at all but just made us scared) and the baggage storage is not available during weekends (you can store your bags in the office building near Uffizi Museum). Otherwise, it is a great place to stay in Florence and explore and enjoy the city! Highly recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful historical apartment in great location. - We stayed in the apartment for 5 days. It had great views of the Arno River and Ponte Vecchio. We stayed in the Arno apartment. It is a very beautiful historical building. The apartment was very clean and very spacious for our family of four, well appointed and very charming. When we arrived, the apartment was not ready, but they were apologetic about it and allowed us to leave the baggage in the room while it was being cleaned, they also gave us a late checkout as a courtesy. There was a grocery store very close by, as well as restaurants, gelato shops, jewelry stores, etc. We were right in front of the Uffizzi Gallery, and within walking distance to Ponte Vecchio, Duomo, Piazza della Signoria, Accademia, Piazzale Michelangelo, etc. We also walked to Santa Maria Novella to catch the train to Pisa, but when we left we took a Taxi in Ponte Vecchio because we had our luggage. They charge a fee for cleaning the apartment so we had it cleaned in the middle of our stay. They also changed the bedsheets and towels, which was great. The kitchen was very well stocked, it even had paper towels. There was a dishwasher, a washer but no dryer, so we had to hang our clothes to dry. The bathrooms had hand soap, but no shampoo, soap or body wash. There was only one TV, but it had a good variety of channels. We loved the vintage elevator. We really enjoyed our stay.
- Gary (10/5): Great apartments and close to everything - This is a great position...just south of the Ponte Vecchio and only 5 minutes walk from the main areas.
- Rebecca (8/5): Convenient fully furnished apartment/hotel - These apartments are great for a family or several couples as they are fully furnished like a typical apartment. The communication was great via email and the management was responsive to requests and questions. The apartments are very convenient to the sites of Florence and we can recommend them as a place to stay. I will add that there is currently street construction just outside of the apartments and they were working 7 days a week from early in the morning until late evening, so there was quite a bit of that kind of noise. Of course, this is no fault of the hotel and beyond their control. The hair dryer in the bathroom is only 700 watts, so it took a very long time to dry my hair (bring your own?) .. and it is best to bring your own shampoo and conditioner. We did have a washer and dryer in our apartment which was handy for doing laundry. Our only complaint is the water for the shower was barely warm enough and would always go through a cycle of ice cold water during the shower for about 1-2 minutes each time while showering. Overall, we can recommend this hotel and appreciated the location, view, spaciousness of the apartment, maid service midweek and security with double sets of locked doors at the entry.

- Daniel (8/5): Great view and location. - Akward check in. Not a hotel but a short term apartment rental. Bare minimum supplies for bath and kitchen, but location, view and ambiance are great. I would stay again, especially with a family.

Kitchen well equipped!The only thing I would warn people about is the current works outside the building trying to fix the sinkhole. It will be a long process. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very comfortable!

- Verified traveler (8/5): Amazing location, Arno river, Uffizi gallery view - Very spacious and nice decorated apartment (Florentine style) close to Ponte Vechio. Elevator available. This smoke-free apartment was very clean and spacious, has laundry facilities, kitchen, two bathrooms, WiFi included. The bed and bedding of great quality. There is very close grocery store and a wine store. The traffic was close on Lungarno Torrigiani due to construction. It was very noisy the whole night! We would certainly stay at Rinascimento Palace again.
