Guest Reviews
- Gregory (10/5): Really enjoyed our stay - Everything about our stay was great. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had the most contact with Moe, who always went out of her way to help us. The breakfast was delicious as was the coffee. It was so nice to have laundry service at an affordable price.
- Francesca M. (8/5): - Property was a bit tricky to find - basically an orange awning with its name over a doorway. Staff were exceptional, room was basic but comfortable. Good breakfast. Amenities include laundry. Short 15 minute walk to bus routes and subway. Overall good but the area was a bit dirty (maybe due to a holiday no garbage pick up).
- Roxane (10/5): - Room was small but well equipped and immaculately clean. Great location, near to a metro station and a number of restaurants. The staff were charming and could not be more helpful and friendly!
- Antonio (8/5): - It's a simple hotel but very well located. Clean and has all the basic things. The staff at the reception was very welcoming during checkin.
- daniel (6/5): - It’s close to Lotte Department store
- Matthew (10/5): 2 night stay before beach area - Really nice little hotel this. In a good area if you’re into good night life with it only being a little walk to all the bars. Good location for access to other parts of the city via good connections. Clean and welcoming with a nice lounge area downstairs. Budget but ticked all the boxes we needed. Would recommend.
- Thomas (8/5): - Fantastic staff, more simple amenities but all of high quality and a great location to stay.
- Z (8/5): - Excellent location, clean and comfortable. The in-house self-serve laundry was invaluable and affordable. The best quality of this place however are the staff - very friendly and unfailingly helpful.
- Ana (10/5): - I loved this property! It had a great location and it felt very homey. I hope I can stay here during my next adventure. It had washers and dryers which were very important. The staff was also friendly. There’s lots of restaurants and shops nearby
- Jack (10/5): - Good size room i had the twin room.
Service was great, cleaning and towels changed frequent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Easy access to amenities, laundry & tea/ coffee etc.
- UWEMOBONG (8/5): - Great price, great location, very nice staff
- Hunter (10/5): - Very affordable option right next to the nightlife but with less of the noise that comes with that.
- Victor (8/5): - Cozy hotel. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Water bottles were available for guests in both the room and the lobby. Also, they had extra USB plugs available to travellers, which was very convenient.
Hotel was clean, had cute decor, and breakfast was delicious.
- Tedy (10/5): - Excellent location.
- Brendan (10/5): - Incredibly friendly staff and nice room
- Olga (10/5): - Room was clean and spacious, really close to metro and many food options. Didn’t know no shower dividers were common in Korea.
- Cynthia (10/5): - While the room itself was fairly standard with no standout features, the exceptional customer service provided by the staff and the excellent location truly made the stay worthwhile.
- Alexander (10/5): - great staff and room.
- Darren (10/5): Best budget hotel in Seomyeon - I travel a lot and stay at many budget hotels.
This is hands down the best budget hotel in the area. Amazing service, clean rooms, comfortable beds and great location. Highly recommended!
- Nhumai (10/5): - Best budget hotel I stay. Love it
- Rachel (10/5): - We loved our stay at Uniqstay! All of the staff were so lovely and helpful, the room was spacious and clean and the area was busy and close to the metro. We had breakfast for 3 of our days and it was great and a good price. I would definitely stay here again if I come to Busan! Thank you!!
- Nilima (6/5): - Average. Not spacious. Very small. Not 24/7 desk service. But Staff are helpful. They have washing machine and dryer. The best part is the guest room. The worst part is- it is a super narrower hotel.
- Florencio (10/5): - This is the best budget hotel we have stayed in so far in my lifetime. It has more amenities than a 3 star hotel. The room and bathroom is large. Breakfast and laundry were excellent. Service was 4 star quality. Surrounded by restaurants and a department store is nearby. We enjoyed our stay in Busan.
- KAYLA (10/5): - Excellent stay and hospitality!
- Serena (10/5): Amazing hotel - The staffs were so friendly. The hotel was only a short walk to Seomyeon station. Water bottles are provided which was really nice. My only complaint would be that the blankets are thin.
- Aram (10/5): - Staff was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Made the stay so pleasant and enjoyable. Room was clean and tidy. Bed wasn’t the best but adequate for a few nights. Cozy and good vibe. Laundry down stairs was easy and cheap to use. Breakfast was decent. All in all, it was the frinedly staff who made the stay special. I would love to come back to stay.
- Steven (8/5): - Staffs and owners are very friendly and great hosts.
All the amenities and services are superb.
Under the bed we found some old hairs and dusts. Window and door trims needs some touch up or cleaning.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Twin rooms are ok. No sheets. Beds are ok confortable BUT staff is amazing, breakfast is good, location is perfect and everything is clean. Would stay back.
- Alba (10/5): - The crew at this hotel is just AMAZING! They did everything for making us have a great stay. The hotel is located right in the center of the shopping district with many restaurants around which was very convenient for us. Also, they have a laundry in the basement you can access to for a very small fee. In general, it’s a great choice for the price
- Matthew (8/5): - Good stay, would stay again
- Noraine (10/5): - We stayed here for a few days and I could say the staff are genuinely caring and kind. They made sure that we were taken care of and that we understood everything. She even helped us book a large taxi to go to the airport. I would stay here again.
- Justin (10/5): - The owner and her staff were so incredibly helpful. Reccomend this place for anyone staying in Busan
- Christopher (10/5): - Extremely hospitable staff, felt like I was a guest at somebodies house rather than a hotel. Great location, close to public transportation, restaurants, shopping etc. highly recommend staying here if you are in Busan.
- Elaine (10/5): - The hosts are very welcoming and helpful! They provided items to make our stay easy. The place is very near the metro, a fancy department store and lots of restaurants and street dining. I’d stay here again.
- Michael (10/5): - No complaints about the hotel. It was clean and comfortable. Staff were also very friendly and helpful.
- Jennifer (8/5): - The property was quaint and cute, run by a family. They were very helpful when asked questions about dining options and activities in the area. Laundry at the property is always very convenient, and the area has plenty of dining and shopping options. Walkable and close to transit.
- YEE YAN RENITA (10/5): - Spacious room n friendly staff! Super nice stay~
- Cynthia (10/5): - This lovely, unique property was a breath of fresh air! The staff was efficient, friendly and always eager to help. Our rooms were perfect and we also had a terrific breakfast in the lounge.
- Shao-Hua (10/5): - Is very nice hotel
- Toby (10/5): Simplicity - A nice, simple place to stay for a night or two. The rooms are small but cozy. I will definitely come back here.
- Marguerite (10/5): Top choice - The staff was warm and welcoming both at the front desk and at breakfast each morning. The value was superb. Could not have asked for more from Uniqstay. If I’m ever in Busan again, I’ll stay here again.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Near Lotte, underground shopping Centre, subway, casino, eatery and market. Cosy place although exterior building look plain. Receptionist helpful too
- Chu (10/5): - I love everything about Uniqstay Bed and Breakfast! Stayed here for 5 nights and there was a different breakfast set each day. The staff are all really friendly and helpful too. I will definitely come back if I return to Busan! Highly recommended! :)
- A (10/5): - Fantastic breakfast, friendly staff, spacious room and great location together with an affordable price!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Room was very clean and tidy. The complimentary breakfast was great!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Home away from home - I will return to this hostel next time. I read the reviews prior to making the reservation. Not disappointed at all. It's little old, but Extremely cozy. SUPER friendly accommodating staff. They actually stored my luggage for me while I am on 5 day trip to Jeju. They go out of their way to assist. TASTY breakfast in small comfortable restaurant style dining room. Japanese, enough English and some Chinese spoken by one of the ladies..
- Allin (10/5): - Very Good Customer Services, Breakfast is good , and hotel are near to the convenience store bus and train
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good location, extremely friendly hotel staff, comfortable room. Couldn’t ask for more
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great hotel in a nice location. Very friendly multi lingual staff. Not an American style hotel but if you travel Asia you know the difference. Highly recommended!
- Heather (6/5): It was fine - The staff is very friendly and kind. They were absolutely the best part of the stay. The street this hotel is down is a block a way from the more fashionable streets near by, however that does keep things a bit quieter in the evenings. I stayed in a nicer place in Seoul for the same money, so I don't feel I got a great value. The breakfast was nice, but not a lot of options--they make you a sandwich each morning or something to do with bread and then you have choices between yogurts, cereals, fruits, milk, and toast. Juice, coffee, and tea are also offered. The laundry currently costs 2000 KRW for a wash that takes 60 to 90 minutes and a dry that costs 5000 KRW for an estimated 200 minutes to 4 hours. They provide drying racks, but the room was so humid my clothes didn't dry properly and a had to take a hair dryer to them (still not good enough though).
Overall, if you are used to hostels, you will be fine with this choice. I'd personally consider a business hotel a step up from here.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Comfortable, simple hotel rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff.
- Vivian (10/5): Definitely stay here - Absolutely incredible. Amazing staff who were so friendly and helpful my entire stay. Couldn't recommend more highly! Also very affordable
- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazingly helpful staff. Rooms clean and good. - Great staff clean. Close to subway. Really recommend. Not plush but clean and extremely friendly.
- Sharon (10/5): Awesome B&B - Awesome stayed & basic room . Especially the front desk staffs very friendly, helpful & a lot of welcome smiling . As for ladies pls bring ur own toiletries . Will come back again
- Sharon (10/5): Awesome - Awesome stayed will come back again . Especially the front desk counter staffs very helpful & friendly .
- shing (10/5): Great staff and service - The hotel was really cozy and nice. The staff were amazingly helpful, especially Vina and the lovely lady on the morning shift (unfortunately i forgot her name). While it may not be an luxurious hotel, it has the basic necessities one needs:) Really enjoyed the different breakfast every morning! :)
- samuel (10/5): Very pleasant stay - Terrific location near Metro station of 2 main lines. Excellent service. Very pleasant stay.
- Elaine (10/5): Staffs are friendly and approachable - It was a pleasant experience staying at uniqstay. If any queries or need any help, the staff at the counter will try their best to solve for me. Will go back to this hotel if i'm going to busan again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff was very helpful whenever we had a question.
- Joe (10/5): Great B&B with lovely staff - Very friendly reception staff in Vinna and Jamie. Spacious room with all basic amenities provided (an in room safe would top it). Close to a major subway station and busy area of Busan.
- Rachael (10/5): Nice B&B - Great room, very nice staff, yummy breakfast, good location near to subway, surrounded with lots of food and shopping area...!
Highly recommended!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Value for money - Value for money with good comfort and locations
- ng (10/5): Convenient location - Nice breakfast with friendly staff, fourth time stay here and still will come back again next time
- Dawn (10/5): - It was a wonderful stay. We would definitely go back.
- Jas (10/5): The best thing about this hotel is their staff! - We stayed at Uniqstay, Busan for 3 nights. The hotel is a 7-8 min walk from the Seomyeon subway station. There are a number of restaurants around as well as a convenience store next door. Its also close to shopping and department stores.
The room was very clean and comfortable. We really liked that we were able to control the room A/C (and temperature). While searching for hotels in Busan, not being able to control the room temperature seemed to be a common complaint from travelers. This hotel solved that problem. But the reason I would recommend this hotel is because of the extremely friendly and helpful staff. They were very fluent in English and were always ready to help with a smile. They even helped us order some delivery which would have be near impossible without some level of fluency in Korean! Highly recommend!
- YOKE CHING (10/5): Best Bed and Breakfast - We travelled in a group of friends. The staff are very helpful and provided the surrounding map and recommended us where to eat. The room is clean and spacious. Breakfast of the day is delicious especially the Korean sandwich. The staff also helped us to catch a taxi to go to airport and told the driver in Korean. We love Uniqstay very much and highly recommended!
- Lisa (10/5): Unique stay at Uniqstay! - We knew very little about Busan before arriving, but the super friendly staff at Uniqstay were more than happy to show us the highlights of the city and how to get to them. The room was spotless, comfortable, and cleaned from top to bottom while we were out and about. Free breakfast was a highlight, as was the connecting café that served amazing teas and lattes. The staff was the most memorable part of our stay: warm, friendly, and always ready to answer any questions you have. 5/5 stars!
- Betty (10/5): Best hostel service - My daughter and I had a wonderful stay in uniqstay Busan. The receptionists were all very friendly and helpful especially Shiori. We have been to other places but they don't give such good personalized courtesy and welcome. Every time we returned we were greeted with warm smiles including chilling out at a connecting cafe Oga.da. The breakfast was fantastic even though a simple fare but well prepared with a heart. The drinks at Oga.da is excellent. The place is safe and very convenient to Seonyeong station with a good pork soup alley which is a must try area.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Really good, simple hotel. Very clean, newly finished. Great staff and a lovely breakfast cafe. Everything you need for a stay in Busan. We'll be back!
- san (10/5): First time in Busan - Love it especially my teen & young adult children. The breakfast was yummy too.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice place to stay in Busan - We stayed in the 3-bed room for 3 nights. The room was comfortable and not too small.
The staff were nice and willing to help (e.g. telling the taxi driver we are going to the airport). Their English level is quite OK and always cheerful and polite.
The location was also good. it took only around 10 minutes walking to Exit #7 of Seomyeon station, and only around 30 minutes to get to the airport by taxi (only around 14,000 Won) in non peak hours.
- Li Huan (8/5): - Generally good, comfortable and clean
- Verified traveler (10/5): Awesome personnel and delightful breakfast - Very friendly and helpful staff, they really went the extra mile when trying to book bus tickets for us. Breakfast was fantastic, good coffe with a really good made to order Korean style sandwich. Good room, clean, nothing fancy.
- Pam (10/5): We Will Return! - Exceptional location, staff, and room (junior suite). Breakfast is included and they had cereal, fruit, and made to order a Korean style sandwich: vegies and egg fried and served on toast with some type of dressing (like a really mild gochujang). The sandwich was very tasty! We stayed in one of the junior suites. The commode is in a separate room from the shower. In the commode room/wc there is a sink and a washer/dryer. The living area is separated from the bed area by sliding shutter-type doors. The bed was very firm (as most Koreans like it). Bedding was plain but nice. Soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash were all provided as was a hair dryer. The location is very near a Lotte Hotel/casino and is surrounded by other hotels, restaurants, and plastic surgeons! Apparently this part of Busan is a surgery destination. We walked to shopping, street food, and took metro/subway to Gamcheong Culture Village. One gentleman, seeing us still and looking up, asked if he could help find something. The people are so very nice. And the staff of the hotel could not be nicer! English is very well spoken by all of the staff we interacted with. The cost was much lower than hotels right next door. Uniqstay exceeded my expectations!
- LAURA (10/5): Convenient and excellent hotel - It was amazing, the staff were lovely and helpful especially the lady at reception who helped me find local eateries and dishes that weren't spicy by marking places on a map. She also marked where the subway was and the route to go there. She was always asking how my day had gone and said good night every night. The breakfast included was always lovely and the staff friendly and I got my food quickly. I had a lovely night sleep and heard no noise from outside.
- Jin Yin (10/5): Good location - This is my second stay in Uniqstay. It is a very short walk away from Seomyeon station. Good as a base for exploring Busan. There are many food choices in that area too. Clean and cosy.
- Iris Tsai (10/5): Great location and friendly staff - Near dept store and subway, and a lot of restaurants around here. Staff is awesome - friendly and helpful. We definitely enjoyed our 7 night stay!
- Smurf99 (10/5): Great comfy hotel near subway and dept store - Stayed 3 nites. Hostel is near seomyeon station and lotte dept store (5-7min walk if find the right way fm station, 2 min walk fm dept store). The hostel will send u a map upon request. GPS will still be useful in my opinion.
Great choices of food selection day n night. Drinking stalls open till early morning.
The staff are helpful and spoke good English. Breakfast selection is basic english style but great. The ambience at cafe lightens the mood. Room (n towel) is very clean n bed is comfy.
The famous pork soup rice street is about 5-7min walk away. If u walk further, there is a busy shopping street which is vibrant at nite.
Will choose the same hostel when re-visiting busan. Thank you hostel staff - u make a difference to the stay!
- Amanda Wu (10/5): Comfortable & clean hotel & good location - This is my 2nd time which I stayed in Uniqstay hotel. The general manager's Mr Jay & their staffs (Matilda & Shiroya) both ladies were very friendly, cheerful & helpful).
The hotel room is comfortable & clean.
Their breakfast i like most, although the variety not much but I feel good.
- Pace (10/5): Convenient location and friendly staffs - I spent 10-min to walk to the place with my luggage from Seoyeom Station (Exit 5 or Exit 7). Without taking luggage, I spent only 6-7 minutes to get to the Metro from the hotel. It is in a popular area and therefore very convenient. In addition, it is also very efficient to travel from the airport. By taking the light rail and transferring to Metro (Green Line) to Seoyeom Station, it usually takes around 40 minutes.
The Korean staffs speak English and are really helpful in answering all kind of questions in their best. There is a Taiwanese staff speaking Chinese and friendly as well. The room is clean and more like a managed dorm, but not a business hotel. That brings much more warm feelings for my trip since I travel along in Busan. Every time I pass by the front desk and staffs simile to me and say Hello :)
The breakfast is simply but delicious. Usually they provide a sandwich with complimentary drink (coffee, milk, juice) and two types of fresh-cut fruit. I also see corn flakes. A staff told me they can call "take-out" service of nearby restaurants for the guests. If you do not want to go out for dinner or have difficulty to speak Korean in local restaurants, the service will be a good alternative for you.
My last day here I asked the staff whether she can make the reservation for night bus trip for me. She made the phone call for me although the reservation turned out to be full on that day finally. So if you want to join the night bus trip, book it earlier!
- David (10/5): One of the best hotels I've had. - The room was great, second only to the friendliness of the staff. I loved the breakfast and will go there again if I am ever back in Busan.
- Nicole (10/5): Great stay and close to subway for sightseeing - We booked 2 rooms for our 2 night stay in Busan for 7 of us. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was included and amazing. It was raining upon our arrival and they allowed us to check in 1/2 hour early so that we could change. They were really helpful with helping us find our way to our destinations for the day and it was in a convenient location.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Stay - Staff were awesome, provided amazing service. Light and friendly atmosphere with a nice cafe next to the lobby. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-designed, provided all the basic necessities. A/C actually stays on when you leave (rare in Korea). Shutters left the room completely dark at night, slept soundly. Minor issues: people were a bit loud in the street sometimes at night, and I could hear it through the closed windows even on the 7th floor. Also they just have a clothes steamer, no iron. Overall, though, this is a fabulous, affordable hotel.
- HW (8/5): Clean and cosy - The rooms are clean and cosy and the hostel is conveniently located near the Seomyeon Station. The staff is friendly, helpful and were able to converse in English. Simple breakfast with different daily menu is also provided.
- Gary (10/5): - Overall a pleasant hotel
- Wai Yan (10/5): - Nice place, nice staff, nice food
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel near to subway and shopping area. - Staff are very helpful and efficient. Breakfast are delicious. We enjoyed our 4 nights stay very much.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fantastic value for money - This is a great little hotel. The staff is wonderful, the room was very comfortable, and they even have washing machines in the basement. I feel like little details were thought out and that makes a difference in your stay. Breakfast was freshly made but just note that it's not buffet style, but rather a different food everyday. They were able to cater to my vegetarian husband though, which was great. The wifi worked really well.
- M B M (10/5): - Great location.
Wonderful breakfast.
Superb staff. They really go out of their way to help.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good hostel experience. - Close to city centre. The staffs are truly nice and helpful. They try to speak to you in the way that you feel comfortable.
- Steven (10/5): Great HOTEL (not typical hostel) - Nothing but good things to say about this place. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly (and spoke a great deal of English), and the rooms were just what we needed. I had a group of four staying in a triple room (with the additional cot), and the size was just right for the price. We were not planning on spending a significant amount of time in the room, anyway. The hotel is just blocks away from Seomyeon station, which is a very popular shopping (Lotte department store), and eating/drinking district (way more Japanese restaurants than I expected having lived in Japan for the last four years). The door to get into the lobby is code-locked from the outside, which creates a very safe atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of a typical Korean weekend-night scene. If I ever come back Busan, I will stay at this place - no hesitation.
- Eleanor (10/5): Awesome experience - The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were good, rooms are tidy, location are great, it only takes 5 mins to the subway. As this was my second time to stay there, free beverages have been given to me and my family. I love Uniqstay very much and must still there again when I next visit Busan.
- Verified traveler (10/5): good value - Great hotel. The reviews are accurate.
- Michael (10/5): Very nice stay - This is a hostel, but has very comfortable living conditions and very helpful staff (more helpful than most hotels). It is close to the metro and Lotte mall.
- Yu chun (10/5): - Clean. Everything was there such as hair drier, shampoo, conditional, and body shamppo. Bottles of water were provided. Close to all great restaurants as well as places for nightlife. Have a fun.
- Lin Lin (10/5): Will return - Enjoyable
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent staff and service for a small hostel. - All staff are friendly and speak fluent English. Without a communal computer at the lobby, when queried, the staff offered me a laptop for personal use for free (however, I politely declined).
- Stephanie (10/5): - This hostel/hotel hybrid offers the best of both worlds in a premium location in Busan. The room was modern, spotless and well appointed. Staff was fantastic, very helpful without being to nosey/pushy. Self-laundry and included breakfast make it a winner. Breakfast is a mixture of buffet and a daily special. If I had to suggest any improvements, I would have wished for the cooked breakfast to be less "Koreanised" - both mornings it was a strange mixture of very sweet and savoury which Koreans consider "Western food". As 90% of the guests here are East Asian, it explains why it's popular ;) Their coffee, however, was amazing!
- Diana (8/5): - Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I left my hat in the dining area and the staff noticed and brought it to me the next morning. Very good location not far from the MRT with lots of restaurants nearby. Room was clean with free water that was replenished daily. Breakfast was good, although portion sizes were a bit small. Great value for the price.
- Agnes (10/5): Excellent hostel in Busan - We enjoyed our stay in this lovely and relaxing hostel so much. The staff were very friendly and helpful whenever we asked them questions about money exchange place and local food recommendation. The room we stayed was spacious and comfortable with high-speed free wifi. Breakfast provided was not much choice but pretty enough and very delicious!! Nothing more can be expected from this hostel.
