• Maxx18 (8/5): Tolle Unterkunft - Sehr reichhaltiges Frühstück, große Auswahl gute Qualität. Das Personal war überaus freundlich. Gut Funkenhof liegt sehr idyllisch, mit kleinem See und Park, konnten wir leider aufgrund der Kürze des Besuches nicht nutzen. Die Brötchen (Dienstag) waren nicht frisch.

• Liane Leslie (8/5): Sehr schön! - So ein herzliches Personal habe ich noch in keinem Hotel gesehen, einfach super! Die ganze Atmosphäre in dem Hotel mit dem Personal, den bereitgestellten Spielen, das Abendbuffet war sehr schön. Die Nutzung von Sauna und Schwimmbad schon ab mittags hat uns ebenfalls sehr gefallen. Die Zimmer sind teilweise altmodisch eingerichtet. Schön wäre ein Kühlschrank und/oder Wasserkocher im Zimmer. Ansonsten war aber alles vorhanden!

Das Zimmer war leider sehr Renovierungsbedürftig mit Löchern in der Decke, die Gardine schmutzig und löchrig. Das Badezimmer hingegen sauber und schön. Trotzdem habe ich mich nicht wohl gefühlt. Auch im Schwimmbad und Saunabereich alles veraltet. In der Sauna war viel Staub und der "Wellnessbereich" lädt leider nicht zum verweilen ein. Das Frühstück und Abendessen war mittelmäßig.

• Anne (9/5): Lohnenswert und wiederholungsfähig! - Büffet und Frühstück waren sehr gut, auch die Getränke-Flat hat uns gut gefallen. Die Lage ist sehr schön, der Außenbereich ansprechend gestaltet. Die Dusche im Badezimmer roch sehr unangenehm aus dem Syphon, was aber nach Rücksprache schnell behoben wurde.

Das Hotel wir gern von Busreisen genutzt, was bei der Größe der Anlage kein Problem ist. Es gibt einen große Terrasse mit angrenzendem schönen Park. • Mike (10/5): - Ich bin oft zu Steuerseminaren in Sundern und liebe die Lage im Grünen und der Natur. Ein wirklich tolles privat geführtes Hotel.
• Wolfgang (4/5): - Wir hatten ein DZ mit Frühstück gebucht, mussten aber, da es keine DZ im EG gibt, auf eine Junior-Suite mit Aufpreis umbuchen. Der 90er-Jahre Charme wäre ja noch annehmbar gewesen. Dass das 160 cm-Bett durch den Schnitt des Zimmers nur Platz für einen Nachtschrank hatte, ging gar nicht. Außerdem war der Teppichboden fleckig, die Dusche war nicht rutschsicher und selbst ein Rasierspiegel hat gefehlt. Das Schwimmbad sowie die Sauna stark in die Jahre gekommen. Das Frühstücksbuffet war nichts Ewähnenswertes. Das aufpreisige Abendbuffet war mit 21,90 pP ok. Weil wir von Anfang an unsere Juniorsuite bemängelt haben, bekamen wir die Rechnung um 2 Abendessen reduziert. Nette Geste, aber naja ...

Saubere Zimmer, Frühstück und Abendbuffet waren sehr lecker. Die Angestellten sind herzlich und super bemüht, den Aufenthalt schön zu gestalten. Ich war rundum zufrieden und komme sehr gerne wieder.

• Robby4all (2/5): NEVER again! - Here is a heartfelt warning for travellers who may think they have found a nice place to stay in Sauerland: -staff is rude, inflexible, and only after your money, especially the ones at the desk -groups of bikers will run the show here; they seize the bar, and scream and shout untill late in the evening, getting pretty drunk; if weather permits they sit outside to do their routine; staff allows it, and do not dare to intervene; you hope they will leave in the morning, but they will not -dinner is a buffet, but the choices are very limited; vegetarians are lucky to find just one choice; the dishes usually are swimming in grease -the appartment we had was not decorated at all; DDR 1960 style -we had a coffeemaker, but no coffee or milk -we had a kitchen, but no pans, plates, or dishcloth -the bathroom was smelling like a sewer, and was invested with small black flies -you can open doors and windows, but there are no screendoors to keep mosquitoes out, so you have a choice: sit in the dark, or get eaten bij mosquitoes -if you do not put a sign on your door before 9, there will be no housekeeping -we asked for a groundfloor room, but we had to climb two stairs to reach our room; they do not care I could go on, but I will leave it here; decide for yourself if this is the place you want to spend you euros; we most certainly will NEVER be back

• marcelb425 (10/5): A surprise hotel - If you are looking for a fun hotel, where price quality is well in balance, this hotel is just your hotel. Great food, friendly staff and a great place for just your weekend get away. Winterberg is within range 45 min, so there is just a lot to do. If you are a hike fan, this hotel is your visit more then worth. If you are lucky to have snow, this place is mystical.
• prol101 (8/5): Solid german stay - Nice rooms, excellent breakfast, halfpension kitchen is varied and tastefull within silent setting. Style of interior is classic. Service of the crew friendly and correct. We used sauna and pool freq.
• worldtravellersdream (8/5): a big surprise - A very nice old hotel in a splendid area. The room we had booked on the internet was a bit smaller than expected. But for a small supplement we got probably the largest appartment ever. It ran 27 meters from one side to the other of the newly added building. The width was appr. 12 meters. It had a small kitchen, a living room with comfortable seats a large TV and a balcony above of the secluded garden. Next to that there was an open space with many cupboards, a desk with facilities for all kinds of equipments, a large table that could seat 8 people. Then there was a hall with two complete bathrooms and finally a huge bedroom with a large comfortable bed with excellent mattresses. We had breakfast and dinner there, and those were also of good quality. The local waitresses were very friendly and service was fast and excellent. The hotel is situated in avery quit valley, near interesting larger towns, a nice lake where you can take a boat round-trip. And a nearby, new challenging 9-hole golfcourse. We recommend it.
