The have breakfast menu and prepared customised meal. The house is very clean. The staff is extreamely polite and friendly. There is a self checkin and checkout. We felt like we are at home.

Lost power for almost 24 hours during my stay, still had great breakfast and my room was heated by the gas fireplace. Many locals were staying here bc their own homes were out of power. Good breakfast!

You walk in to a story book here , literally, as the owner has all the rooms themed and decorated as if u step into that story. You’re missing out if you don’t stay here !!!! Forget any hotel you’re looking at and book here. It was quiet too ! I can’t wait to go back.

I arrived well after midnight due to flight delays and found the self check-in procedure to be very manageable. The Chalet is beautiful and the special touches everywhere were so inviting. Breakfast was hearty with a seemingly infinite number of choices. I had the option do dine apart (which I did) in their spacious dining room although others were able to socialize together. Wonderful!

It was an "introverts delight" as we saw and heard no other guests or staff on the property except a greeting at breakfast. Check-in was via email instructions. - Howard (10/5): - Stone Chalet hit all the marks for a delightful stay in Ann Arbor. The inn has been beautifully maintained and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was served promptly and the perfect way to start the day. We were in town to watch a U of M football game, so we were able to enjoy a forty minute stroll over the the stadium, skipping the traffic and long lines for the shuttle buses. Next time we are in Ann Arbor, we shall check Stone Chalet first!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The bedroom was spacious and the bed comfortable. There was a fireplace in the room which I liked. The breakfasts were a bit disappointing and very little interaction with the staff.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - We really enjoyed staying at the Stone Chalet. The breakfast was amazing, the amenities were good, it was super convenient to the school and the inn keepers were really friendly/helpful. There were a few drawbacks. 1) The room was very drafty with the bed next to the window without a headboard, 2) the wifi was down most of the time and 3) there was no common space to sit with couches other than the dining room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Funky - Funky with lots of character. Bed was super comfortable and updated bathroom & shower were great. Many beautiful outdoor areas. Breakfast was poor — cold, discombobulated, and not very tasty. Really interesting house/structure, but we didn’t get much of a tour, there was not really a common area to hang out in, and much of the place seemed off limits. Concerning that management responds to criticisms in reviews with arguments about why the reviewer is wrong. A real turn off. For example, when multiple guests say the breakfast was cold, the only appropriate response is thank you for letting us know; we will correct that right away.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful, historic inn. Great location with a short walk to UMich. Our room was comfortable, beautiful and clean. Jason was so welcoming and allowed us to check in 2 hours early which allowed us to fully enjoy the afternoon with our daughter. Breakfast was delicious and served in a beautiful dining room with a cozy lit fireplace. I highly recommend; the experience exceeded our expectations.
- Steve&Mary (10/5): - Very quaint with amazing history. Older stately neighborhood around the chalet was very beautiful, but also very convenient to downtown Ann Arbor, Michigan campus. Staff was fantastic, breakfast was a treat and fun to meet other travelers. Highly recommended. Wife and I make it a point to stay at B&B's when we travel and this one is a keeper!
- Jill (2/5): - DO NOT STAY HERE!! The room at Stone Chalet was not what was represented on their website or on the Expedia website. The room was super tiny. The bathroom was so small my husband and I could not fit in it together - and we are not big people. There a pedestal sink with no place to put even your tooth brush! Only one hand towel was provided for two people. There was far too much furniture in the room. No place to put our luggage. No closet to hang your clothes. We were extremely disappointed when we arrived. We could not even move about the room without stepping over each other and we could not open our luggage to find a change of clothes unless we put our dirty luggage that has been in a plane onto the bed. We had to call a nearby hotel and leave that very evening. We never stayed one night of our theee night stay. We requested that Stone Chalet refund 2 of the 3 nights that we prepaid for - but they refused. We were our almost $800 plus we had to pay $800 at a hotel for the same three nights - so we paid double. Also. We could not reach them for days prior to our arrival for instructions on how to enter the property. I finally receded a phone call saying their phones were not working properly. Overall a terrible experience.

- Chris (10/5): - This Unique and charming bed and breakfast had a rustic, safe and comfortable feel. It is nestled in an expensive neighborhood. Very Hearty and tasty breakfasts are served. Only complaint I have was the lack of WiFi and connectivity was really bad.
- JANINE (8/5): Ann Arbor Visit - Location: Excellent. Walking to the university and downtown area is approximately 15+ minutes. Area appears to be safe. Grounds/Room: Serene grounds. Comfortable room. Visitors should be aware that a TV is not available in the room - this detail is indicated in the summary on the B&B's website. WIFI/Telephone service: Internet connection was okay. Telephone service for our usage was only available outside of the building. Breakfast: Cereal, yogurt, fruit, eggs, pancakes, toast, juice, coffee, tea served on the days we were there. No meat or potato related items. Breakfast staff very friendly. Check in process: Staff member polite and took us on a tour of the home. Did not see the staff member again during our stay.
- Jamie (10/5): - What a gem. Really nice looking B&B- well kept outdoor area/garden to sit in. Room itself (Garden) was lovely too. Nicely decorated and very comfortable. Had read some reviews about onstreet parking- I was there for a game at the Big House. We got in a couple of hours before the match and had no problem at all parking right outside the side entrance. Breakfast was great too. A real feast. Staff/innkeeper was incredibly accommodating- had some quirks with my arrival time and the team came up with a solution. Staff in kitchen were nice too. Wish I could’ve stayed for more than one night! Would love to return. Lastly, also conviently located for Whole Foods and a coffee house about a mile away. If you’re looking to stretch your legs, wander over fair oaks pkwy. Nice peaceful lane.
