Guest Reviews
- Brittany (9/5): Paradise and magically relaxing! - The location was absolutely amazing- right on the beach and close enough to everything and still very quiet and chill. It was a beautiful property with great foliage and flowers- wonderful restaurant-food was delish! Pool is small but to me...who goes to pool when the amazing turquoise clear water ocean is steps away! Room was large and air conditioning kept room nice and cold which is important when its super hot- fan and great view on balcony of ocean and palm trees! Bathroom was not great- shower needs to be cleaner and /or redid - that was truly the only draw back but everything else so wonderful!Staff was very nice and friendly! This hotel is truly a gem and worth the value- next to bigger more expensive properties but actually on the beach! Absolutely wonderful! Bathroom was not great- shower needs to be cleaner and /or redid - that was truly the only draw back but everything else so wonderful!
- Kaeleigh (8/5): Sufficient for a short stay, wouldn’t pay for the price per night for a long stay based on the outdated rooms and the lo - Right on the beach which for comparable resorts the price is great. Rooms are dated though. Staff was nice and accommodating. Restaurant on site had good breakfast and nice happy hour. Outdated property and rooms, small pool / pool area
- Michelle (8/5): - Location and size! Dated and the pool needs an upgrade
- Don (6/5): I would look at alternative hotels if i were to return - Beach Access Pool did not appear clean
Beds were very soft and broke down on edges
Parking lot floods when it rains
They don’t accept American Express but the Bay Bistro does
- Esin (10/5): -
- Alexandra (10/5): Really happy with everything, this is the reason we came back. - Nice location, amazing beach Grace beach,
Very nice staff. Everything was really nice no negative comments at all.
- Marcello (10/5): Un oasis. Nada.
- dogdayze (10/5): Great Beach Vacation - This was our first time in Turks and stayed at Sibonne’. The hotel is small, clean and steps from a gorgeous beach. Never a problem getting loungers on the beach Beach towels included. Can’t . The room was spacious , clean and had a nice outdoor patio.Toiletries, towels, coffee maker, fridge and microwave were in the room which was cleaned daily. Excellent service from all staff. We did not have a car and walked to all stores, restaurants and the Thursday night Fish Fry. Loved it so much we booked for next year. Took a half day catamaran trip through Caicos Island charters which we really enjoyed. Can’t wait to return.
- Amanda (10/5): - Beach location and friendly staff
- R_Squared_12 (6/5): Fourth trip, probably the last - I have been a big fan of Sibonne in the past and still think it's a great option for a "budget" stay in TCI. However this trip, I thought we were given one of the worst rooms at the hotel. Booked a twin balcony ocean view room, and our room overlooked the parking lot.
There was the usual problem with chair poachers, and people "saving" chairs for hours on the beach, but it seems as this will never change, as nothing is done about it. We were always able to get a chaise, but we hit the beach early in the morning.
On a side note, the prices at Bay Bistro have really gone up and some past favorites are no longer included on the menu. I honestly don't see what was changed, decor wise.
We felt safe walking into town several times, but there was an alleged serious crime commited at a hotel up the beach during our stay. This has nothing to do with Sibonne, but we are seriously rethinking a return trip, which is a shame.
Still a good option if you don't want to spend thousands a night on a room and the location is outstanding.
- Bri-Bri-TO (6/5): Great hotel, disappointing no children policy - I stayed here with my husband for two weeks during the pandemic and it was lovely. Beautiful hotel, fantastic restaurant, and the proximity to Grace Bay can’t be beat.
However, I just went to book for next winter and I see that they have a no children under 12 policy. We are now a growing family and this is very disappointing to discover. We now can’t stay at our favourite hotel in TCI for at least 12 years? Honestly don’t think we’d consider a stay here in the future after this.
- Ross (9/5): -
- Lloyd (2/5): It still has a lot of the eighties fans, bathroom fixtures and it’s not worth the money they char. - The Garden, with a lot of tropical plants and trees The noise from the ac kept me up at night
- Lisa (6/5): Love this hotel but really needs updating - The location of this hotel is great. I love the boutique hotel vibe - small hotel with only 30 rooms. Very old Florida feeling decor and amenities. I have always loved that this place exists among the many huge hotels. It feels like it is the way TCI should be experienced.
The beach front is a beautiful setting for this hotel. The maid service and maintenance man were very nice and accommodating. Our bed was very comfortable - even though it did creak when we moved. The hotel is run down and needs some updating. I have stayed here before and was looking forward to a return stay I was so disappointed in how shabby the hotel has become. They need to replace most if not all of the beach chairs as they are worn out and many are broken, The pool was dirty and I never saw any pool maintenance while we were there. No one swam in the pool, that's how bad it looked. The shower head in our unit was rusted and did not deliver a good stream of water - in fact the entire bathroom needs a good make over.
- 650darrelw (10/5): PARADISES HIDDEN GEM - Really enjoyed our stay in Turks and Caicos January 4th to the 11th.
Sibonne Beach Hotel is a hidden gem.Their rates and cleanliness are excellent.
There the closest hotel to the beach I mean the best beach in the world….super white sand, super varieties of blue water color, restaurant right in front of hotel
It’s truly a paradise location but it’s not the Ritz if you need that kind of attention go elsewhere and save this place for me!
- MICHAEL (10/5): Love this place we’ll be back. - Right on the beach, staff is over the top nice, beautiful little property. Highly recommend. What’s not to like!?
- Lacey (10/5): I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. - This property was an absolute gem. It’s not luxurious but it’s right on the beach and boasts beautiful gardens and a beachfront restaurant. There is also adequate parking, beach chairs and umbrellas included in the stay, and a cute little hotel cat named Sidney.
- Flyer57890089278 (4/5): One Night Special with a Side of Cockroach - Here now for one night until we can check into our primary resort. Room was clean when we got in but we had the pleasure of waking up to a giant cockroach on the floor…
5 stars for Bay Bistro dinner though.
- Samira (8/5): - - Preis-\Leistung top
- Lage an sehr schönem Strand - Lage etwas abgelegen
Bom restaurante e bar. Os bar tenders em geral muito gentis! Atendimento no check-in pessimo. A Sra. Repito: Péssima recepção no Check-in!
Atendimento dos garçons no restaurante, em geral, ruim!
- 185harrisonf (10/5): 60 seconds from room to beach - Great small feel. 60 seconds from our room to the beach. Enough beach chairs for every guest to have one and a great part of the beach to be on. Further down the beach is so thin, the waves cover the whole thing.
Room was good, restaurant and bar on site was great and a lovely garden inside the courtyard kept the rooms feeling private
- Federico (9/5): -
- weluv2travel07 (8/5): A hidden gem - This is a nice, small, boutique hotel. Staff is friendly and accommodating. As other travelers have mentioned, the pool is small, but you have an ocean, who needs a pool! The hotel gives you 2 bottles of water/day. I would recommend walking next door to The Sands, and buying a gallon of water in addition, to keep in your fridge. The beach was pretty much empty each day. Plenty of umbrellas. The hotel also provides beach towels. Bug Spray is a must. Spray your legs everyday. We did get a fair amount of bites, before we applied the spray. The rooms are clean and comfortable enough. They definitely need an update. There is construction going on right next door, but the noise was not obtrusive. All in all, it's a cute, hidden gem that we will visit again.
- Annaliza (9/5): - So close to the beach! And Free beach towels and chairs during our stay. You need to rebt a car if you want to explore.
- Andrea (8/5): -
- Meghan (10/5): We would definitely visit again! - I liked how quiet it was and the proximity to the ocean. The refrigerator was too small to keep items cold. It would be nice to have a small kitchenette to be able to have utensils.
- JeanneE61 (10/5): Great hotel, outstanding beach and location. - This hotel is step back in time, retro. We were kindly greeted by a sweet lady at the front desk. A nice man showed unto our room, showed how safe it is and how to use the TV and other amenities. You get a physical key, no key card or wristbands. The beds are comfortable. Linens and towels were good. The room temp was great, bathroom big enough, plenty of hot water. The room balcony had a nice view. The pool is bigger than the pictures. The beach is what you re there for, it is beautiful. There are plenty of lounge chairs. The construction noise that I'm sure you have read about is minimal. You are safe to walk a long ways on the beach. About a mile down is a protected reef that you can easily swim out to and snorkel. If you are there on a Thursday go to the Fish Fry. It is an easy walk. Lots of vendors and food. The conch fritters are the beast! So if you want a sweet hotel, in a great location, this is your place. I definitely would stay there again.
- valeria (8/5): -
- Michelle (9/5): - Location is everything. Quaint and steps away from the most beautiful beach in the world.
- Mathew (8/5): - Great place and location on the beach. Hotel was clean and well maintained. What we didn’t like was the pool being dirty looking and down for most of the time we were there. Also the bed was lumpy and bumpy. Good place overall.
- Shannon (10/5): - Right on a beautiful beach,
- John (6/5): - This place was probably once a great place to stay? Lots of construction happening around them which is not their fault. However, staff isn’t very friendly, pool is ridiculous, and everything feels tired. We were hoping for a boutique hotel feel but honestly wished we would have chosen a different property.
- jessica (8/5): - It did the job. It's not a 5 star resort so don't expect that. We had a clean place to sleep. The staff were nice. The attached restaurant was AMAZING. Food might have been the best I had the whole trip. Atmosphere is perfection
- Donald (10/5): - The location was perfect...the beach was beautiful....staff friendly....would definitely
- Arnaldo (10/5): Fantástico - Muito bem localizado, custo benefício, e principalmente funcionários extremamente atenciosos Gostei de tudo
- Eunice (10/5): - It was nice!
- Angela (8/5): - The property is nice. Directly on the Beach with chairs and umbrellas. Pool was mediocre. The attached independent restaurant overlooking and on the beach is quite convenient and good and it is open for the three meals. Lovely plantings on the grounds. Rooms are nice but not Luxurious. The Second story rooms have balcony with ocean views. Staff is welcoming and friendly and helpful. It is a boutique hotel next to and in between resorts. There is overnight security as with most resorts. Hurricon Erin passed through our stay and it is a sound structure being right on the beach with no issues except ponding on the road.
- AARON (10/5): - Very satisfied and would stay again. Amazing access to beach and great hidden restaurant.
- 29malikj (2/5): Get Me Out of Here - The rooms need a total makeover! It seems like they are relying too much on the proximity to the beach and views without thought into making visitors feel relaxed after a day seeing the TCI. The location is also too far from the the central area. There was a roach in my room and ants in the bed. It’s ok to be boutique but upgrades are desperately needed, This is why they wanted the entire amount up front, anyone with means will go elsewhere. I was lucky bc they only charged me half when I arrived, which allowed me and my wife to celebrate our 19 anniversary at Ports of Call in peace for 5 out our 7 days. NEVER AGAIN. For what they are charging go to Ports of Call or just air BnB it. Do not stay at this hotel!
- Enrique (9/5): Excelente opcion en Grace Bay - La ubicacion,la playa del hotel y su comodidad nada para decir
- John (8/5): - The staff at Sibonné were very friendly and helpful. Hurricane Erin was offshore but managed to bring a lot of rain and heavy winds. The staff brought me a flashlight in case the power went out. The location is perfect on Grace Bay. The rooms were very clean. Bistro Bay is on the property. The food was delicious with very friendly staff. Overall a nice stay considering my vacation was cut a day short with the weather.
- Stephanie (6/5): - Pourquoi le petit dejeuner ne fait pas partie du prix de la chambre?
- Mr Marques (8/5): exactly what i needed - very close to the beach i got the worst room. they dont have lifeguard or beach activitities, like renting a boat
internet was not good, and it advertised as high speed
- tammymP9694NM (4/5): Think twice. You get what you pay for. - The hotel is not kept up. Yes it’s on the beach, perfect location , however the bathroom was not up to par all , water warped door shower curtain dirty.
The entry way was dirty and uninviting.
- Bryan (10/5): - Location on the beach was outstanding !
- Sharol (2/5): - I cried myself to sleep 2 nights in a row due to being upset. The hotel is not like what was shown when booking. I am looking about getting a refund. Had to change rooms twice. The showers was extremely small, television did not work in one of the rooms and another the AC was not working, when asked for it to get checked out that took all day, did not get to use the room till after 9pm. I still can not believe how horrible my experience was ☹️
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Convenient and right on the beach.
- shambeel (7/5): -
- Stuart (10/5): - Our favourite place to stay in Turks. Never disappoints. Great value.
- silv43 (10/5): Hotel super acogedor - La habitación, la limpieza impecable, la atención, tener reposeras de playa a disposición todo el día.La playa espectacular Me gustó todo
- Srdjan (10/5): -
- Athanasia (6/5): - I liked the location and the beach! The property was not kept up. First impression the entry way was dirty! The reception was full of of stuff and the girl that checked us in very unpleasant
The bathroom was outdated, the door was water warped and dirty as it was the plastic shower curtain
I am not sure how people give this property 9 and 10.
Expedia should request updated pictures for sure.
- Yessenia carolina (10/5): - Good place. Beach is beautiful. Staff are nice
- Dimitrios (8/5): Very good stay, would come back - It's on the beach, right as you want it to be at a place like Turks. The atmosphere is, in general, very cozy, and the overall premises work well. It gives out a relaxed mood and the sea in front of the hotel is superb. They actually provide ice free of charge, which eventually proved to be very helpful. The room was quite good and spacious. They are, though, a bit old, but they still provide a good stay, and everything worked as expected. The service at the restaurant is quite slow.
Some technical stuff in the rooms can be improved, such as the shower and the sockets.
- John (7/5): This is a special place. - Sweet little hotel on the beach, maintained very well with lovely flowers. The restaurant was superb!!! Unfortunately there is a huge hotel going up next door and will dwarf the place. The “pool” was a kiddie wading pool.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hanes (8/5): - ..
- Barbara A (8/5): - Feels comfortable like home.
- Helen (8/5): Very good -
- Rossi (5/5): Passable -
- Frank (10/5): - Sibonne was amazing all amenities needed.Personnel on point. It’s on the beach never crowded turquoise water white sand and all excursions available on the beach ya gotta see Rodney pickup and drop off right in front of Sibonne amazing. I will be returning next year with my family God willing. Thank you for a memorable week❤️😎🇵🇷
- Russell (10/5): - This property is always my go to for a fast trip to Provo. Very clean and we love being right on the beach with a full service restaurant steps away for beverages and food.
- Russell (10/5): - Perfect for the money
- Taneshia (10/5): - The cleanliness of the room, the balcony, pool area! Everything was great! Front desk also very helpful.
- Darin (9/5): laid back comfortable and relaxed place to be - location location location pool
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional -
- 330karaa (8/5): Good hotel with some watch-outs - This is a nice little hotel right on the beach. Here are some things I wish we knew before we booked
.
Pros - the private beach was virtually empty, which was lovely and peaceful. Beach towels are provided and the sun beds are comfortable. The Bay Bistro is very good and Hemmingways is virtually next door along the beach. The room is comfortable and very clean. Housekeeping came in every day and did an amazing job. The room always smelled of fresh laundry. The room has a fridge, coffee machine and a microwave. There are no other catering facilities in the room so be prepared to either eat out or get a take-out. Great to use as a base though.
The boat trip to Half Moon Bay was awesome. Highly recommend. We also loved Danny Bouys. Great food, informal dining and good music!
Cons - the pics of the hotel do not show the huge construction site right next door. It is an eyesore! I’m not sure why they haven’t tried to cover it up or put a screen up but it does ruin the view and the workers work seven days a week! It looks as though it will go on for at least another year. It is very noisy so take headphones if you’re going to lie on the beach!
Be prepared to walk at least 15mins to the nearest supermarket. If you’re looking to go further, hire a car or use a taxi as it gets very hot!!
Look at the tips other travellers are saying about the best rooms! The balconies are very on top of one another, they could do with privacy screens! They are also quite small so don’t rely on them if you like sitting on your balcony, unless you get an ocean view one for example. The AC while efficient in the room itself, throws out hot air making it very uncomfortable to sit in.
All in all we loved our time in Grace Bay and would recommend this hotel but wished we’d have had more information about what to expect in advance
- Kevin (10/5): - Loved this hotel because its right on the beach and it wasnt crowded. Would recommend it for the price.
- Mg (6/5): Pleasant - Location, close to beach and resturent Very old building and room is not modern
- Dawn (2/5): - Terrible
- Christopher (10/5): - The only place to stay for a kid free beach vacay!
- Cecilia (10/5): - First time staying at Sibonné, was immediately impressed with the property and easy access to the beach. Umbrellas and loungers were available to guests, never had an issue getting one. Staff were always friendly and helpful. We had a King balcony ocean view room. Sunsets were beautiful to watch. Room was always clean and water bottles and coffee items replenished daily. There is a mini fridge and microwave in the room which was handy. The bed was comfortable, water pressure good and the a/c was very good!
The onsite restaurant “Bay Bistro” had fantastic views of the beach, menu variety and food taste was alright (7/10). The hotel had ample parking and the location was very convenient to get to. All in all, I give our time at Sibonne a 9/10! Will definitely go back!
- ANTONIO HILOMEN (8/5): - NICE GARDEN
- Caitlin (10/5): - We loved our stay at Sibonne! Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was perfect. Loved the proximity to the beach and loungers. Beautiful garden paradise!
- Hanh (8/5): - Nice hotel right on a beautiful beach. Was so nice to have towels and beach chairs and umbrellas available as guests of Sibonne. The AC was strong (just a big noisy), the bed was comfortable (the pillows not so much) and the restaurant on site was pretty good. We would definitely come back to stay here! The location was great and it was overall a good value.
- Theresa (10/5): - This is a perfect hotel within steps to the beach, their amazing restaurant with an executive chef with amazing food! Beach chairs & umbrellas are free and you don't have to rush out to get one. It's not crowded & the hotel grounds are beautiful, well kept & security guard at night but 2 women traveling alone we always felt safe! The king size bed was amazing & loved our balcony to see the beautiful Caribbean. This hotel is definitely a gem!
- coolcaesar (8/5): A decent little hotel near the beach - I recently stayed at the Sibonne for my first visit to Turks & Caicos.
The best thing about this place is the proximity to the beach. This is the cheapest hotel on Provo that directly faces a beach. And the travel guidebooks aren't kidding; Grace Bay Beach is one of the most magnificent white sand beaches in the world. Its soft white sand and gorgeous turquoise water is well worth the cost. You will never forget it.
The hotel's circular swimming pool is small but immaculate and in excellent condition; it was probably completely renovated at some time in the last decade.
The hotel is relatively small and intimate, and not crowded at all, as opposed to other TCI resorts which are much larger and sprawling, and have lots of people walking around.
The room was clean and well-maintained, but definitely an older room. The bed was comfortable and I slept well.
The rooms are remarkably well-insulated from each other and other exterior noises. It is impossible while inside to hear noises from adjacent rooms or the construction next door from the St. Regis Residences. The air conditioning in the rooms is very effective and not too noisy.
The staff are friendly, warm, and hardworking.
Now, the downsides, which is what we all read Tripadvisor for.
I generally try to book relatively new hotels to avoid "old hotel" smell. Unfortunately, in this situation I had no choice but to go with this older hotel because it is all I could afford.
The room did have an unpleasant "old hotel" smell, which I was able to get used to after a few minutes each time, but it was still annoying. This is why I normally stay at the big hotel chains when I can afford them, because in my experience they are better than small independent hotels at minimizing such smells.
The bed frame had visible signs of rust, which looked awful.
The room decor and fixtures appear to be old-fashioned aging relics of the 80s.
The pool is way too small, meaning that to swim laps, I had to swim in circles which was dizzying. I was able to get lots of swimming done during my stay, but it would have been nicer if they had rebuilt the pool to a larger size and a more conventional rectangular shape.
The hotel has an annoying policy of locking the gates from 10 pm to 8 am, rather than staffing the front office all night. If you need to get in or out outside of those hours, it is possible to bypass one of the gates through a long detour, but that was annoying.
Because the hotel is small, it has no fitness center or the other kinds of amenities normally seen at beachfront hotels. Its two major amenities are the on-site restaurant, the Bay Bistro, and the swimming pool.
There is construction in progress at the St. Regis Residences from about 8 am to 4 pm each day. There is no pause for weekends or national holidays. It is relatively mild construction noise in the sense of hammers and saws, and it can be heard only when outside, not inside. It is relatively distant, but it is still annoying.
It is not the kind of thing one wants to hear on vacation while lying around the pool or on the beach while trying to relax. So I did not do either on this vacation. Instead, I focused on swimming laps and on taking long walks along Grace Bay Beach and Long Bay Beach.
For any other location, I would have given a hotel like this a rating of three due to its aging interiors. It is seriously overdue for renovation and redecorating, so that its interiors could look more contemporary and smell nice. It would be even better if the owner could tear it down and build a slightly larger hotel on the same site with a larger swimming pool.
But after thinking about this very carefully, I have to concede that a clean, quiet room with a comfortable bed near such a beautiful beach is definitely worth something, so I am assigning a rating of four.
- Tan (6/5): it was ok - On the beach Loud next door. New building being built.
- Monique (8/5): - Loved it being on the beach
- Craig (10/5): - Excellent location and good for the price. You can basically save five or $600 per night by staying at this hotel and access nearby much more expensive grounds and restaurants. The restaurant called the deck was especially beautiful right on the beach overlooking the water. Make your reservations via open table. Sibony hotel has his own private chairs and umbrellas and is about 200 yards down the beach from where many excursions leave so while those excursions will come pick you up at Sibony you can always just walk down there to join the group check in. We never use the pool but they do have the restaurant right there on premises is not affiliated specifically with the hotel so you pay separately at that restaurant. It is called the Bay bistro and like all areas the food was expensive one entrée two drinks usually cost around $50-$70 Down the beach at the deck We had one entrée a piece, three drinks, one salad and it was $205 …..so food is expensive. We have found the most place takes credit cards visa or MasterCard.
- Mary (9/5): Superb - Friendly staff and comfortable beds. It was perfect for someone who is literally wanting a home base to sleep, shower and relax! The units could use a little TLC as far as updating.
- jenesej (10/5): A great stay in TCI - I stayed at Sibonné in April for the last day of my trip in TCI, but came to the property on days prior to enjoy the beach and Sibonne’s bar. On my very first trip to TCI, I remembered having a really good Piña Colada as I waited on my excursion and drove around until I found it again on this trip. The Piña Colada’s are still amazing as well as the staff! Davidson took great care of my friend and I with his warm and friendly demeanor. Because of Davison, the Piña Colada’s and the beach, Sibonne will always be on my list to visit whether I’m staying there or not. I didn’t eat much of the food, but what I had was good.
As for my stay, I like the fact that each room has a balcony. The rooms are pretty standard and get the job done. The hotel staff is very nice and accommodating and the amenities are great. I would definitely stay again should I have a last minute change which brought me there.
- Cheryl (8/5): - Very nice property!
- Carolina Elizabeth (10/5): - Styaed at SIbonne
- Carol (2/5): - Please read this in its entirety. I checked in and upon going to the room, the gentleman who took my luggage to the room, advised me to place a stick, which was already in the balcony door, by the ledge of the balcony for safety reasons. As a female who was staying in the room alone, this was alarming to hear.
I immediately contacted Expedia, who then reached out to the hotel’s receptionist. I had to go to the reception desk to let them know Expedia was reaching out and no one was answering. Emails were sent at the request of hotel manager, Stacey. According to Expedia, they sent an email to cancel reservation and were waiting for a reply from management, they said they replied; however, Expedia never received a reply or email with regard to the cancellation. This as on June 23. It is June 28 and Expedia emailed me to tell me the hotel never responded. Please know that the hotel manager told me I would get a refund. She also told me they replied to the email. I do not know how this hotel has nice reviews. The room was unsafe and I was eaten by mosquitos while speaking to receptionist. I have not resolved the issue because the hotel refuses to answer. It seems all they care is about money, not customer satisfaction. Hotels like these will give Turks and Caicos a bad rep. It is a beautiful island. I have been to this island numerous times. I am looking forward to seeing the response of this hotel. I want my refund.
- Audrey (10/5): - Sibonne is the hidden gem of Providenciales. Everyone from other hotels come here to eat and hijack beach seating areas but honestly the vibe is just amazing. We were especially happy with the staff at the Bistro and our receptionist Stacee, Ms. Natalie, Davidson, Jay, and O were amazing and super friendly. The room is cozy and comfortable with excellent working AC, the most comfortable king bed, and an amazing shower you don't want to get out from. You're than welcomed by a less than a minute walk to the beach with plenty of seating for those who are booked with Sibonne. We are definitely coming back and will make this our primary hotel when visiting Providenciales.
- Aaron (10/5): Great value. Great resort. - The staff was very nice. The location is great. The pool was a little small, but we go for the beach not the pool
- lindakI3759MD (8/5): Loved it here! - Lovely little hotel right on Grace Bay Beach. It is a little dated, but very clean and welcoming. Our room was a decent size with a very beachy decor. Everything we needed, safe, mini fridge, microwave and coffeemaker. Comfortable king bed. Daily maid service, two bottles of water replenished daily. We had a balcony that looked down over a lovely courtyard and a partial beach view. The rates are extremely reasonable by any standard, and especially for this island, which is quite expensive. Truthfully, we were not expecting much, our last few beach vacations were at all inclusives and we got kind of used to all that goes with that. The Sibonné was a pleasant surprise. Our room was nice, the beach was fabulous and mere steps from the door. Chairs and umbrellas were easy to come by, no having to rush down to save them. Towels are available at the front desk. Because it’s such a small hotel, I think around 20 rooms, the beach is not at all crowded. The pool is a very small round pool, no one seems to use it. If you are a pool person, don’t go here. But with the gorgeous beach here, why bother with the pool? There is a restaurant and bar on the property. We ate breakfast here every day and it was quite good, not cheap, but no more than anyplace else. We ate dinner here once and it was fine, but not great. Service was good, very attentive. High season, no children allowed at the hotel, Low season only children 12 and up. I must say I think kids would be bored here. Seemed to be mostly older people and a few young couples here. We are in our 70’s and walked to town one day, about 20 minutes. We also walked to the Thursday fish fry, straight down the road. (less than 10 minutes) which we really enjoyed. Lots of food, souvenirs, music. Sure it’s a bit touristy, but there were a lot of locals there too. It was fun. Walking back in the dark felt quite safe as there were so many people walking too. Also police presence.
There is a big construction site next door, a shame really. I was a little worried, but we did not find it at all intrusive. A three minute walk down the beach will get you to Hemingway’s at the Sands resort. We ate dinner here and loved it, but I would stick to Bay Bistro for breakfast, much better choices and food, plus the morning ocean view. All in all a lovely little basic beach hotel. I would stay here again.
- Marlene (10/5): Like it so much already booked for next year - Loved that everything was close. Being in our 80’s we didn’t need to walk very far to reach, pool, restaurant or beach, or accommodations. Staff very polite, food delicious, loved all the lights and candles at night Trufully found restaurant a little expensive
- Cedric (5/5): Passable -
- Joshua (9/5): Superb - Location was absolutely dreamy - right on the sand. Grace Bay is gorgeous! The island is relatively expensive (both hotels, food, and activities), and neighboring hotels that 'seem' much more fancy were also muuuch more expensive. What we wanted was a decent room, the beach, and good food/restaurant. Check on all 3, not sure why you'd pay more! Great value for the location. The only real downside of the stay was the internet. It seems like the hotel, and all of our phones, run through the same cellular connections, which are extremely spotty in this area. I was mostly unable to do any work or make video calls. It may have been due to the sporadic rains and it's fine other times, but we can only speak to our stay.
- Sean (10/5): This was the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen! - The view was amazing from my room. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. It truly felt like I was in paradise!
- Tameka B (10/5): - My partner and I had an excellent stay at Sibonné Beach Hotel. It's precisely the type of place we were looking forward to. This property had the perfect combination of being right in the middle of Grace Bay with very walkable routes to almost everything we wanted to do. (650 meters from the Thurs. Fish Fry!) The hotel staff were fantastic and warm. The beautiful beachfront with guest-only lounge chairs was excellent and private. It wasn't crowded, and it felt like we were tucked away from the chaos of the BIG hotels. I don't know if this property is an adults-only hotel, but we preferred that there were no children during our stay.
The restaurant was also outstanding and very convenient. It was lovely to go out our patio and walk 20 feet to beachfront dining. Great staff, nice drinks. We loved our ground floor garden room. The garden is lush and beautiful, with cute lizards running about and an adorable cat. We very much appreciated the air conditioning. It is an older AC machine that makes noise when it kicks on, but we got used to it quickly. The room was very clean, and they restocked us with coffee and water every day!
In a nutshell, Sibonné felt like an owner's property, much like WorldMark, your own slice of paradise. And a special mention to Devona, our gracious hostess!
- David (9/5): What a great location, quiet beach and area with the easy access to "miami beach" - The restaurant was excellent and the room size was fantastic. The bathroom was a little small but adequate. The beach and lounge chairs were fantastic! The bathroom was a little dated and small
- Laura (10/5): - Beautiful boutique hotel! Stunning views of the beach, everything is so close which makes it super convenient. The people are friendly and helpful! The rooms were clean, AC working great, waters upon arrival. Overall amazing trip of a lifetime. The most beautiful beach on earth! :)
- Carolyn (10/5): My happiness - Fabulous, small hotel, right on the beach. Wonderful restaurant bistro also easily walk over to many fine dining restaurants.
- Lynne (10/5): We loved it! Restaurant on site was a big plus - we truly didn’t have to leave the property at all if we didn’t want t - It had all that we needed! No bells and whistles which was fine. Everyone was so pleasant and welcoming. Size is excellent - never crowded for anything. Room was always clean with fridge, coffee maker and microwave. Loved the coffee on the balcony to start our perfect days. We do not need marble from floor to ceiling but could be updated; however, very clean .
- 649sarahf (8/5): Beautiful hotel - The best deal on the beach at grace bay! We loved the view! Our room had a very comfortable bed and air conditioning. The gardens were gorgeous and the restaurant top notch! I wish I had read the hotel binder when we got there since I didn't find out that the beach towels can be exchanged each day at the front desk until our last day.
