- Bernice (7/5): Prima hotel - Een leuke locatie op loopafstand van een supermarkt en van het Queen's Park Savannah. Een rustige kamer, er zit een reisorganisatie met tours in het gebouw naast de receptie. Het ontbijt was prima. Omdat we de dag van uitchecken vroeg vertrokken mochten we het ontbijt verschuiven naar de dag dat we vroeg aankwamen in het hotel.

- anthony (4/5): Beaucoup trop cher pour ce que c'est - Situé dans un quartier plutôt verdoyant et stratégique, nous avons disposé d'une chambre donnant sur les jardins de la résidence du premier ministre. Mention spéciale pour la très sympathique réceptionniste qui nous a enregistré, attribué une meilleure chambre que le placard initialement prévu et, surtout, donné les bonnes adresses pour prendre le PDJ ou aller dîner. La première chambre qui nous a été attribuée disposaient de fenêtres basses et donnant directement sur un mur et des installations techniques ! Ce n'est qu'après protestations qu'on nous a donné une chambre plus conforme au standing de l'hôtel, même si on notera une certaine vétusté de ce dernier (douches, porte de chambre et murs peu/pas insonorisés). Bref, on ne peut pas être et avoir été et si cet établissement a été un jour "haut de gamme", il n'est plus que l'ombre de lui-même et clairement trop cher en regard des niveaux de prix locaux. IMPORTANT: le petit-déjeuner est minable ! Nous l'avions payé par avance mais avons fini, sur les bons conseils de la réceptionniste, par aller dans un excellent établissement situé à 10 minutes en voiture. Ils auraient au moins pu avoir la décence de nous le rembourser.

- Michael (3/5): Disappointing return to what was once the pinnacle of perfection. - The staff were as friendly as ever. The beds were comfortable. Ants in the bathroom. Not stocked with toilet paper. Raucous noisy guests who kept us awake into the early hours of the morning.
- Debi (4/5): Private events at the hotel should not disrupt guests experience, sadly it did. - The breakfast was okay. I asked for pancakes and was served toast. I checked in at approximately 5:15pm. I left at about 6: 30pm to attend an event. I returned to the hotel at 10:47pm. There was an event and there was loud music for this event. I went to my room and the sound vibration was intense and items in the room were also vibrating. I tried to sleep, that was impossible. The music and the dj ended at 2:47am. I was only able to sleep after the music stopped.
- Ronald (7/5): Overall it was ok. - Breakfast was ok No one told us that there was going to have a party at the hotel, its ok, but what if we wanted to just relax and sleep. I don't have a problem with it but let the guess know.

- Salome (6/5): - We had a good stay overall. Just two issues. 1.We had to wait 1 hr after check in time to access our room since there was an issue with the locks. However we were able to stay an extra hour after check out time. 2. At check out, staff told us we had to pay for breakfast even though our expedia reciept showed that breakfast WAS INCLUDED in the booking. They claimed it was a discrepancy between their rates and Expedia's rates. In the end we stood our ground, showed our reciept, they apologized, we left. Lovely hotel, conveniently located.

Hotel is OLD, NO VISIBLE SECURITY (if any - INEFFECTIVE), Rooms are small and everything in it is OLD and feels dirty (why is a kettle handle sticky?) ...the faucet on the sink was loose..Unruly guests at my stay (not the fault of the hotel but they could not / did not manage the situation...loud music from 11:30pm into the early hours of the morning makes falling asleep very difficult)...don't even think of calling front desk for assistance because there is no answer (phone felt sticky as well)...they were preparing for an event so we had to wait to get a park...overall - disgusted and I DO NOT RECOMMEND! Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere...even if it cost a few bucks more it will be better than this sorry excuse of a facility....

- Gerben (2/5): Terrible ending to a nice vacation - Good beds, was able for a late check out due to late flight Restaurant closed, pool broken, airco in one of our rooms not working, small breakfast, market shopping place closed. We travel with 4 grandparents and 2 small children. Instead of enjoying our last day by the pool, we spent it reorganizing and planning and trying to keep 2 children safe around a pool that was broken.
- Ann (8/5): - The cost to stay for the 2 weeks was affordable, due to the expedia holiday package l selected. I especially loved hearing the nighttime and morning sounds of the nature's little creatures, much better than having to use white noise in my flat. The ambience was so peaceful, and l especially enjoyed sitting in the verandah, looking at the sunrise; quite therapeutic. I hope however that the breakfast could be more local and varied. All of the staff were warm welcoming and friendly- 10 out of 10 for that. Thank you especially to Ethan, for participating in the little surprise l arranged for my nephew. Good sport😄 My only observation was not all of the guests were friendly so in greeting a few, with no return good day or hello, was a bit disappointing but thats not the fault of the staff and it didn't dampen my spirit. I noted the ongoing renovations which is a plus, and can only improve the quality of the overall experience. All in all a wonderful stay, l would certainly recommend to friends.

Don’t waste your money when there are way nicer places to stay for the same price!!

- Srimannarayana (6/5): - Normandie hotel has nice greenery, big trees, cool breeze, Chirping birds. Rooms are neat & clean. Pool is nice, relaxing, private with palm trees around. Reception is 24/7. However all ground staff leave after 6pm. If you need help in the night, Reception could only give phone support. Check in & out was smooth. However there are no proper sign boards to guide visitors to reception, pools, restaurent etc. Car park is full of cars during the day. And the hotel and reception are in a elevation. No bell boy service to help with guests luggage. Most of rooms are in 1st floor, with only stairs to climb (with luggage). The hotel has no restaurent by itself, but associated with private restaurent on grounds. Breakfast included with room is basic with small portions. Over all the hotel is nice, with a colonial style architecture, greenary, birds etc, but there is scope for improvement to make guests comfortable as pointed out above.

The room was average, but the staff from the (front desk to the parking lot security) provided a great experience. The pool was not really that clean - but we did have a few downpours that caused stuff to run into the pool, so it is understandable.

Loved the pool Even tho this also need mainteance. The location is great. We loved the room, it had a nice balcony. The hotel need upgrade , and the breakfast was very simpel. It was very noisy in the morning some days, when someone started to cut the grass or the bushes/trees around 8 am in the morning!

The shower in my room didn’t work properly, because the shower head needed to be replaced it took 2 days to get it fixed. But again staff was incredibly helpful.

- Mario (4/5): We were disappointed.. - Location. Pool. Balcony on ground floor room. There was a lot of dust. Our room was on ground floor separate from body of hotel. Every morning a worker with a dust blower would go by and blow dust all over the place. Because of this my wife got sick and developed a very bad cough There also was a very noisy event one day just behind our room. We were in the middle of a very busy and noisy event without any prior warning. When we changed rooms there was constant noise from renovations in the adjoining room. As a result of this, we terminated our stay. To compound matters, we were charged substantially more than we were quoted on the booking.com site, after the hotel had already charged my card on the day of booking

The issue I had was fixed so so need to even bring it up. Because I in anywhere u stay u will have an issue or the other. How it was handled makes the difference.

- Nicada (4/5): Okay place to stay and lay your head but that's about it. - The location of this hotel is fantastic, it is very close to main activities around the centre. The hotel building itself is quite unique in appearance however it was slightly unclear where the front desk was located. The room did match the image shown. The service was pretty average. Basic details such as giving room directions and wifi was missed. This hotel will benefit from refurbishment and maintenance. Huge cracks in the hallway which I'm guessing caused by subsidence from the huge tree. The room was clean but the bathroom had a weird smell.

- Shamela (4/5): Disappointing - The location was nice staff ok. The scenery beautiful. The hotel needs a bit updating along with maybe more items on the breakfast menu.
- Daniel_&_anna (7/5): Surprise breakfast party - The hotel itself is nice and fairly modern, the rooms are spacious and clean. Whoever decided to put the bathroom window next to the toilet right above the toilet seat level clearly shouldn't be allowed to design things. Location is around 30 minutes walk from city centre, neighbourhood is really safe. Breakfast is ok, nothing to write home about but filling and tasty enough. The reception staff is competent but not particularly helpful for tourists, get your information somewhere else. My biggest gripe is with the party. We were informed ahead of the party on Saturday night, it was a bit loud but fair play to the hotel for being upfront with it. But then around 4:30 in the morning another party started, apparently something called a breakfast party. That one wasn't mentioned at all and it was really loud, particularly because some idiots were honking their cars for minutes at a time. All in all, a good place to stay as long as you make sure no surprise parties are taking place that weekend
