Insufficient kitchen equipment- one of the rooms had only 1 dinner plate and 1 side plate! We had a large vehicle and struggled to fit it in the garage. The property is not suitable for large vehicles. We booked for 4 adults and 3 children - the 2 rooms were not big enough for this number of people. We had no option to pay an additional $100 for a trundle bed.

• Christoph (8/5): Für einen Aufenthalt in SF ist das Motel definitiv zu empfehlen. - Die Unterkunft liegt wirklich im Herzen von San Francisco. Man kann ganz entspannt zu Fuß zu diversen schönen Spots laufen, die Anbindung ist super und es gibt auch diverse Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Unser Apartment war wirklich richtig urig und schön eingerichtet und man hat sich wohlgefühlt. Leider gibt es nicht ausreichend Parkplätze für die Apartments und die Parkplatzsituation in SF ist ein Krampf. Selbst wenn man einen Parkplatz gefunden hat, dann war es selbst mit einem normalen BMW X3 extrem fummelig in die extrem schmalen Tore zu fahren. Im Abfluss im Bad beim Waschbecken war relativ viel Schimmel und die Decke auf dem Bett war keine richtig Decke.

Ideally located next to the Presidio and lots of restaurants It is in a bit of a rough area and can be loud at night. First impression from Lombard street is wondering if it will be a dive, despite the beautiful painting. Drive into the courtyard and you are in another world.

Will definitely be coming back and I'm going to tell all my friends and family about this quaint place. The spiders in the room which I understand will happen especially with all the plants on location.

Le fait de disposer d'un garage compris dans le prix est un gros plus (attention, ça peut être un peu étroit avec un gros SUV !) Le bruit. C'était annoncé comme "animé" car nous avions pris le studio donnant sur la rue, mais nous ne nous attendions pas à avoir du bruit à ce point. La configuration de la chambre en hauteur avec l'escalier couvert qui mène à la porte (qui n'est pas du tout isolée) fait caisse de résonnance et amplifie tous les bruits de la circulation dans la chambre. Prévoir des boules quies. A refaire, nous prendrions un studio côté cour.

Also, I couldn’t figure out how to get the heater or air conditioner running so we had to keep the windows open. thankfully, it was a nice day in SF.
• Mathilde (7/5): Parfait - L’hôtel est très bien situé dans San Francisco avec un arrêt de bus à quelques mètres qui permet de relier tous les points d’intérêt de la ville. Le cadre est très agréable c’est calme et fleuri un havre de paix dans la ville. La chambre est bien équipée. L’espace nuit n’est pas très grand mais la cuisine et la salle de bain sont spacieuses. Nous avons pu cuisiner nos repas sur place. Les lits sont confortables quoique un peu trop mou à notre goût mais c’est relatif à chacun. Les agents d’accueil sont très agréables et disponibles . Rien de particulier hormis que nous avons eu un peu frais dans la chambre mais rien de grave surtout qu’il a fait malheureusement mauvais temps ce week-end la à San Francisco avec beaucoup de pluie .

• Cian (10/5): Our home in SF - Second time to stay here. Such a great find in SF. Close to everything, safe area, so homey and comfortable. The garages are extremely tight but manageable.
• Mia (10/5): Property was quaint, comfortable and safe and I would definitely stay again next time I’m in San Francisco! - It was so pretty!! Definitely goes above and beyond what you expect for a “motel”. The property and room were quaint and loved having a private garage space. The neighborhood felt incredibly safe as well. It was tough being on the street side to park our vehicle but honestly have no complaints we loved our stay.

Tge small garage to store my car a bonus. Felt very safe. The furnace wasn’t working. Luckily it had been fairly warm.

• Alexis (10/5): - Very cute property, the flowers are fragrant and if you book a courtyard facing room it’s very quiet. The room was comfortable and had everything you might need. The staff were all very nice. The garages were excellent and they let us keep our car in there after checking out so we could still explore the city with a place to keep our things. It is loud if you’re in a street facing room, but that’s to be expected.

• Irene (9/5): - I was very pleased with our stay at the Marina Motel. The room was nice the garage is a nice added amenity if you know anything about San Francisco parking is hard. The location is absolutely amazing so close to many things to do. I was traveling with my son who was able to take a nice walk to the beach and local food spots. The check-in process was simple and the communication with the office staff was easy. It was a bit noisy I will admit so if you are a light sleeper may not be the place for you. But this place gives a great local feel to your stay. I have already booked my next trip to stay here again.

Location is good in the Marina - close to shopping and dining. They clean the rooms at most every two days, and you need to ask for it. There was no desk or work area in my room.

• Scott (8/5): If you want or need to be in the Marina, this is a very good place to stay - Staff is great. Rooms are antique, sweet and clean. This is my second sojourn, and staying in the courtyard is a notch above the street side. I stayed in a Lombard Street-entering room and the door to the room didn't muffle the sounds of the street very much; the parking garages were designed for 1937 vehicles, so my mid-sized SUV just fit.

You have your own garage to park your car and no extra charge! Slightly seedy locale but we were comfortable walking any time day or night

• Wil Sensenderfer (7/5): Would likely stay there again but do a few things differently. - Clean, well-appointed room. Close to Presidio of SF where we had an event. Close to the Golden Gate Bridge. Several restaurants etc within walking distance. Beautiful room with what you could feel was a lot of history. We booked a Queen studio which implied a queen bed...not sure it was a queen bed as it seemed really small. My advice, book a courtyard room as the street view room, although it had a nice private garage, it was a little nerve racking pulling off a very busy street to part. Also road noise was definitely pervasive. I am sure the courtyard room would make all the difference.

• Jean Martin (1/5): Dégeulasse - Rien L’odeur d’urine de chat dans la chambre , le pire lit pour dormir en fait nous n’avons pratiquement pas dormis , l’hygiène inacceptable et le pire nous venons de découvrir des punaises ou puces dans nos valise …la pire expérience à vie…je sais même pas combien cela va coûter pour la décontamination de notre maison !!!

• Frederick (8/5): Quaint village-like complex with friendly staff and clean rooms, although tainted with a slightly musty smell from the y - Great location next to the vibe on Chestnut St and the stunning Presidio. Great staff and a quaint village feel in the complex. Car had its own garage slot so it was safe. It’s an older place so you can’t help but get that old “grandma’s house smell”. You get used to it but you notice it at first. Wish there was a desk in my unit but plenty of coffee shops nearby to work.
• Alejandra (9/5): - The tiny space (including bed, bathroom, and kitchen area) was extremely well-designed for both aesthetic and convenience (floating shelves and mirrors visually expanded the space, touches of wood and floral motif throughout were lovely). Staff was very helpful and responsive to requests, and provided recommendations for food and parking (we got the garage underneath our unit, and they helped my husband get in since it's on a relatively busy street). Location-wise, we were in easy walking distance of multiple good restaurants, the park, the Palace of Fine Arts, etc. Our unit was street-facing, but it looked like there were units behind us and a small garden courtyard that looked cozy. I would stay here again. The street-facing unit gets a lot of street noise; I wonder if insulation added around the door could help with that. Personally, it felt like white noise to me, but my husband had a harder time falling asleep.
