- 790kirillb (10/5): Very good hotel for a good price - It was a very pleasant place to stay at. I was traveling alone and stayed there for 2 nights in October 2025. The room was clean, modern, well ventilated. The breakfast was very good, so if you are considering paying extra for it it’s worth it. It’s located right next to the main train station, about 7 min walk, which makes commuting around city very easy. The staff were very helpful and pleasant and the atmosphere was less commercial and more cosy. Strongly recommend.

The welcome at reception was warm and personal, and the breakfast room was such a lovely way to start the day. I'm vegan and have several allergies, so I usually struggle to find suitable food. But here, everything was clearly and beautifully presented – just like the regular options for other guests. It was such a relief! There was chia pudding, ginger shots, oatmeal, and plant-based milk – all delicious. My husband also really enjoyed the classic breakfast selection. We slept incredibly well and truly wished we could have stayed more than one night.

Otelin hala anahtarla kitlenen odası ve her dışarı çıkışta anahtarı lobby ye bırakma nostaljisi hoşumuza gitti . Lobby de çalışan Dilara hanım çok yardımcıydı teşekkür ederiz. Kahvaltı salonunda kişiye özel omlet yapıldı. Biz ilk gün söyledik,sonraki günler biz söylemesekte yumurta ve içecek servisi geldi. Teşekkürler.
- ZenHealer7 (10/5): Smart boutique hotel except…… - I will give it a 5 star because the huge negative I will write below is beyond the control of this very charming hotel. I usually find an ibis near the train station where I am headed but there was no Ibis here and I was not familiar with Motel One until I saw it here. So I ended up in Kronenhotel based upon glowing reviews and they are all justified. It is a family run boutique hotel. The staff is superb, the entire place is scrupulously clean, has a fresh, understated style, the rooms are very functional and very well appointed. Housekeeping is meticulous. I had a single bed room (154) that was quite spacious except for the very compact shower that was difficult to use for a 182” man. But it was fine for 2 days. There was a mini bar but no kettle. The a/c controls really do not work but it did not bother me because the weather was pleasant and the windows could be opened. I was first given Room 100 where the WiFi did not work and immediately moved to 154. Now the big negative. The hotel is “close to the train station” only on the map. In reality, it took me 40 mins from the time I got off the train to reach the hotel! This is because of the extensive construction and renovation going on in and around the station that has messed up everything. It was also because I had 2 bags I was wheeling and there are inclines along the way. I was exhausted by the time I checked in. The girl at the Reception advised me to take a different route on the way back and even that took 35 minutes except it had fewer road crossings. This is fair warning if you are coming from the station. Once you reach the hotel, it is an oasis of calm!

- Amara (10/5): - The staff at this hotel were very welcoming. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. I am usually a little skeptical of hotel breakfasts, and as an American, I am unused to the typical German breakfast of meats and cheeses. However, there were a variety of options at breakfast, and I was able to eat very well, even as a vegetarian. The hotel courtyard is the star of this hotel. It was filled with hydrangea flowers and was such a peaceful place. I really enjoyed sitting out here surrounded by flowers with the birds chirping. This hotel made my stay in Stuttgart very enjoyable. If I stayed again, I’d book a larger room. I only wish the room had been cooler! It got very warm in the room despite being cool outside. Opening a windows only helped a little.

- Martinzero (10/5): Great experience - What a place! Following our sat nav into Kronenstraße the hotel is last on the right and to be honest initially looks a bit 70s. However it is no such thing. We were met with a very kind and professional receptionist who even walked our car into the car park as we missed the sign, exceptional service, many thanks. The rooms are superb and the whole hotel is so clean you could carry out open heart surgery in any part of it. It's also very convenient, just off the main central area, but tucked away so it's quiet and tranquil at the same time. Breakfast is a wow, plenty of staff, buffet style or cooked in the kitchen. We were served by one of the owners and son, brilliant, and best of luck in your son's chosen career choice. Finally our favourite subject, the staff. Utterly charming, helpful, polite, efficient, courteous and humorous . We will be back!
- Tony (10/5): - Very friendly welcome, great staff and wonderful choice at breakfast. A fifteen-minute stroll from the Main Railway Station in Stuttgart and clean and quiet. Five minutes walk from the main shopping and eating area and ten minutes to the Schloss Platz.
- eat2run (10/5): Best hotel experience in Stuttgart - Fantastic location. Close to the train station, close to shopping, close to a park with a beer garden. The staff are tremendous the breakfast buffet is the best I’ve ever had. Loved everything about this hotel. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. I did not get a chance to try the sauna, but the relaxation area was very comfortable and next time I will be prepared for the sauna. I will definitely be staying with this hotel again.

The room was very nice with a nice bed the shower was great and all very clean. - Arjen (4/5): - At check in, staff could be more friendly and we had to pay for our 2 day stay immediately. Subsequently, we were asked several times if we wanted the room to be cleaned and if we wanted clean towels: YES we want a clean room and clean towels!! The hotel is situated close to the city center (10 min walk). The rooms need to be refurnished. Carpet floors are not very hygienic. The beds were somewhat uncomfortable. The A/C was insufficient to keep the room cool, but we could open the windows. The rooms had old fashioned room keys that had to be handed in at the reception desk when we went out. The parking has a very narrow entry which may be challenging for bigger cars.

It is well situated near the station and underground station but not too close so you do not hear any noise. The breakfast was very good and there was a big choice ! The staff was helpful and friendly. We can only recommend this hotel. Our room was no 251, perfect not any noise. If we come back to Stuttgart, we will come back to this hotel.

- laurentium259 (10/5): Kronnenhotel - a HQ for a walk accross Stuttgart - For our first visit în Stuttgart, we simply choosed a hotel with a central location to allow us convenient walks accross the city. Indeed, we enjoyied quick pedestrian access not only to the main city's attractions but also to the nearby "Hauptbanhof": S, U and trains! But what exceeded our expectations was the warm hospitality attitude of the staff (special thanks to Ms. Luana Sirca!) and of Frau Berger herself who personnaly ensures herself that customers enjoy best breakfast offer!

An easy 10 minute walk to the main station. Many people have commented that they liked the quietness of the area but I would have preferred a little more life as I found it a bit unnerving walking alone after dark in a strange city. Despite that I would definitely stay again if I return to Stuttgart.

- Clyde W (10/5): Old school which is good! Definitely coming back - Two night stay while in town on business. Really like this hotel. It’s old school German, which I love! The room key is a real key with a big metal tag linked to it. The whole thing prob weighs a pound. You leave it at the front desk when you go somewhere and they cheerfully give in back when you return. The whole facility is clean and in great condition and good Wi-Fi. One of the best breakfast spreads I’ve had in a while. Staff is super attentive and helpful. One drawback is no gym (but that comes with old school). Location is excellent with 5-7 minute walk to train access and 10-15 minute walk to the old downtown action. I found two nearby brauhaus restaurants and loved both. Price is right, no complaints. Will return here on my next trip.

- 33MarkS (4/5): Ignores my emails asking for a quotation - I have emailed this hotel 3 times asking for an offer for August 2023, and then 2 times for August 2024. I used the contact email details on their website, and the 'contact us' form, but have never received a response. I even tried using my two different email addresses. I am tempted to book a hotel nearby and go and see the manager face to face to ask for an explanation.

The rooms are quiet too, no noice of the street. The rooms are modern and there is a luxury looking bathroom, the beds are comfortable. The personal is very friendly and helpful. But the best of this hotel is the breakfast, such great choice. This hotel has everything you wish for.

- porschegal03 (10/5): Never disappointed! - As always when we return to this amazing hotel we receive an overwhelming reception. We are greeted by name with hugs and smiles. The staff remember us. The hotel is exceptionally clean. The breakfast buffet is the best I have found anywhere in Europe. The garden is perfect for breakfast, an afternoon break or just to relax. We will never stay anywhere else when in the Stuttgart area.

- jakobl834 (2/5): Family trip to Stuttgart - We had been looking forward to a two day stay in Stuttgart from 15-17 June 2024 where we booked Kronenhotel. When we arrived late we got our room - but we found out the aircondition was not working - and the temperature was very like a sauna in the room. People at the reception was laughing at us - and gave us an electrical propel that was very noisy. We had to sleep with open window, so we were woken up at 5am. This is not very good for us as a family because my son has a cronic illness. Staff was just laughing and said that it is not their problem. I do not agree - kronenhotel advertise with good service including aircondition - so they have not delivering the service we have bought. I will recommend you to book another hotel as they staff and owners dosent care about our complaint - and laughing of what we are saying. My recommendation - stay at another hotel

Good proximity to the main train station, U-, and S-Bahn. Very helpful front desk staff who are clearly service-oriented. Area itself did not seem to have many dining choices since it was largely residential or part of the University. But there are plenty of options a stop or short walk away.

There are many vegetarian dishes on offer, and many different meats and cheeses. Many little plates of some delicacy or another, so fun for small tastes. Great little yogurts and smoothies. Chocolate mousse and brownies with whipped cream. Seasonal fruit. The bread bar was outstanding. I'd return to this hotel just for the breakfast! Very memorable and really a highlight of our stay. The front desk staff were professional, friendly and efficient. This seems to be a business hotel, as most of the guests who we saw at breakfast were men (and a few women) in suits. They have a wet sauna and a dry sauna, which you need to reserve ahead of time, which was easy to do. My husband loved his hour in the sauna. There is plenty of storage space in the room, which was very much appreciated. The cleanliness was great. I was grateful for the heated towel rack. The detractions from a perfect stay were these: The bed mattress sits within a wooden frame, not on top of a frame or box spring. This means that when you sit on the bed, your legs are pressed against the narrow edge of the wooden frame. Not at all comfortable. The toilet is wedged between the wall and the sink cabinet, and you cannot spread your legs to clean yourself while sitting on it. Absolutely no room. It was far enough from the HBF that we needed a taxi to help us get there in the snow.

- Chris (10/5): Ideally situated hotel in Stuttgart - Ideally situated in a quiet location but in close walking distance to trains, shops and tourist information. We received a warm welcome from the helpful staff and were shown to our deluxe room on the top floor. Breakfast was in a lovely room overlooking the courtyard garden, with outside dining available. It was our first visit to Stuttgart and we loved the blend of old and new architecture. Plenty of dinner venues and cafes nearby, with the added bonus of a wine festival in progress during our stay. We would highly recommend the Kronen Hotel for both business and pleasure visits.

- Alexander (10/5): Very much recommended in Stuttgart - Stayed 5 nights at the hotel. The staff is extremely friendly, the breakfast is sumptuous, the wifi was smooth and fast. The room had AC and was very comfortable. The only thing which was missing in my opinion was an electric kettle. The location is great: few minutes of walk to University of Stuttgart, the main train station and about 10 minutes to Konigstrasse. Will definitely stay at Kronenhotel when I return to Stuttgart.Very much recommended.

It was a lovely respite on a long business trip. The front desk was warm and welcoming and very helpful. The room was clean and lovely! The breakfast had a wide selection of food and was outstanding.
