Didn’t have time to test the amenities but everything looked clean and well looked after. It’s on a quiet street. Perfect place to go home to after a busy day. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

My partner is an athlete and was prepping for a competition and needed a quiet space to yoga, but the yoga space in the gym was unavailable to be accessed or used; despite the facility not being booked by a personal trainer. The gym/spa staff were not helpful towards the request to use this part of the gym facility from a hotel guest, notwithstanding that the hotel promotes access to the gym. Also the spa was not available to be accessed by hotel guests on Saturday. These were the only disappointing parts of the stay.

The television is a bit small considering how far from the bed it is - a larger screen would be more comfortable viewing, but younger eyes will probably have no issues! All in all a comfortable stay in a good location.

We had a bit of noise on our first night and they moved us to a quieter place in the Hotel, with no fuss at all. - SHERRY (10/5): - II view the Brassey hotel as my primary place of residence, offering me a feeling of serenity, calmness, and hygiene. There are numerous contemporary hotels in the city, but the peaceful atmosphere of this hotel sets it apart.

However, parking on wet days is about 100m away from the property and even stopping off at the entrance (as I found) is problematic as pushy local users of the gym presume they have right of way through the curved entry road.

- Katherine (8/5): Comfortable, but lacking some important anenities - The hotel is a comfirtable, older hotel, with some modern amenities. The bed was very comfortable. However, the bathroom was under par, being very small, with low lighting and not nearly enough space for toilet articles. The lighting in the room generally was very low. The TV was quite large, but visible only from the bed and not from the couch. Lastly, the snack bar was nice, but it was necessary to go to a related hotel a block away for meals, and there were few other restaurants nearby.

Bathroom door and shower door wouldn't close, gym was rented out to basketball training, with noise from the balls and coach echoing in the rear service area and rear rooms from 4 to 6. The bed head was detached from the wall and leaned over the pillows, and no hot water on the departure morning. Just not good enough whatever the price.

The staff is very friendly, helpful, and extremely informative. Bonus is the gym and spa co-located on the premises. Although there is no restaurant at the hotel, there are plenty of options for food in the immediate vicinity. The room was neatly organized and kept clean daily. I would stay here again when visiting Canberra!!
