Guest Reviews
- Siarhei (1/5): - The stay became impossible within minutes of entering the room. The bathroom fan was screaming nonstop with such an unbearable mechanical noise that it felt like standing beside industrial equipment instead of being inside a hotel room. There was no chance to rest, sleep, or even stay in the room for more than a short time without developing a headache.
To make matters even worse, the entire area was filled with an overwhelming chlorine smell coming from the pool. The air was so heavy and toxic that breathing became genuinely difficult. My eyes and throat started burning almost immediately. Instead of a hotel experience, it felt like being trapped inside a poorly ventilated chemical storage room.
The conditions were completely unacceptable and potentially unsafe. I had no choice but to leave the hotel without staying overnight at all. Despite not using the room, I am still waiting for my refund to be returned. Extremely disappointing experience. Property response:
Hello,
Thank you for your review. I apologize that your stay wasn't as expected. In the future any time there is a maintenance issue in your room, at any hotel, be sure to tell the front desk, as they likely can resolve the issue by having maintenance go in, or moving you to another room. Regarding the chlorine smell, I do apologize but we have an olympic sized, indoor pool, and while the area is ventilated, the chlorine is still part of the pool. I apologize that you were not able to maintain your reservation, and I do hope that you have better luck in the future.
Thanks,
Kaitlin - Sales
Dear Kaitlin,
Thank you for your response, but unfortunately it does not reflect what actually happened during my visit.
I reported the issues to the front desk twice while I was at the hotel. The staff were unable to resolve the extremely loud bathroom fan problem, and the strong chlorine odor throughout the area made it difficult to breathe comfortably. Because of these conditions, I was unable to stay in the room at all and left the hotel shortly after arrival.
At the front desk I was assured that the payment would be refunded, since the service was not provided and I did not stay overnight. I am still waiting for this refund to be processed.
At this point I would appreciate a clear and reliable response from you or another responsible manager regarding when the refund will be issued.

- Calli (10/5): - The staff was extremely helpful and kind.
- William (8/5): -
- Muniz (9/5): - Need thicker blankets, and maybe not so loud bedsđź¤
- Tifini (8/5): I'd stay again if it was cheaper - Breakfast was pretty good.
Staff was very nice!!
Great location. Pool was kinda dirty
Room was very dusty and needed vacuumed.
- Potter (7/5): -
- Daniel (9/5): - my kids loved the pool and the hot tub The beds was super hard like a brick, and it was super loud at night. People was running around.
- Nara (7/5): Kindness goes a long way. - The breakfast was very good. The room was very clean. We had no issues with anything in the hotel room, hallways, or with the physical space. From the moment we walked in, the gentleman at the front desk was not very polite; he seemed almost inconvenienced. In the morning, there was a different gentleman—I'm assuming he's the overnight guy—and he was very nice, very kind, and very happy, as were the ladies working in the kitchen and doing the rooms. The one we encountered was very nice and seemed happy to be there.
- Wilson (9/5): - The pool? Nothing.
- PATRICK (8/5): - Location Nothing
- Shepherd (10/5): - The owner are 5 star Na
- Dambrosi (7/5): - Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms clean. The pool walls were visible dirty. If you ran your finger across the tile, you could see a line of what you wiped off.
The beds make metal banging sounds when you move.

- takeylac2021 (2/5): Does not deserve Bestwesters name - #1. The elevator & staircase looked like something off a horror movie crime scene. Apparently only the downstairs tv was connected to the wifi so we couldn't watch anything that we'd planned. I understand hotels go through maintenance and updates, but you should inform the guests. The stones in the pool area are coming out the floor it felt disgusting. My skin felt awful after being in the jacuzzi & the fumes were too strong. When I tried to take a shower stuff was falling into the tub from the handle. Then the drain wasn't even draining. So it was just filling up with water & whatever that stuff was. I was so over it all I wiped off in the sink & went to bed instead of continuing my night. We left more exhausted than when we arrived. We were supposed to stay a second night but after that we ended up going home. It was a waste of time & money. Bestwester should have their name removed from the building.
#2. The man that checked us in was extremely helpful. He did his best to solve our problems. Even though he couldn't solve most of them he still tried & made sure to communicate with us. He was literally the only good part about the place. I ended up feeling bad for having to bother him so much & just chose to go to bed instead.
#3. Fix everything & communicate with your staff about whats going on in the building you're having them oparate. So they can communicate with the guest & give them the proper information without having to run around & search for it.

- Girly1013 (4/5): Not worth $250 a night - Paying $250 for this room was not worth it. The room was very outdated, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the jetted tub was very loud. The tub was also hard to get in and out of, and the setup was ridiculous, with the knobs located on the opposite side of the room, making it very inconvenient . For the price, the room was definitely overpriced and did not meet expectations. I would much rather stay at a Drury Inn, where you get a cleaner, more updated room along with the 5:30 kickback that includes free drinks and dinner.
- Russella (10/5): -
- Samantha (10/5): - Amazing breakfast, very friendly staff The whirlpool tubs definitely don’t fit 2 people
- Christine Groscost (10/5): -
- Shepherd (10/5): -
- Monica (8/5): -
- Pawel (4/5): Disappointing. - Breakfast had decent options, room was clean and smell-free aside from a blood spot on the armchair. Big TV, good shower pressure and temp adjustment for water. Friendly staff woman at desk. Super close to the highway with Dunkin, McD, and other necessities right in the same plaza vicinity. I was not anticipating construction to be happening during my stay. I had just driven all day and needed a good night's rest but was awoken at 8am-ish from loud banging, men talking and walking in the hall, and other construction sounds. Also, I was told during check in that I may not have water the next morning from 8am-noon, which in my opinion is unacceptable without pre-booking notice. I did not appreciate not knowing in advance that construction would be happening near my room and that the water may also be affected. Also, I did not appreciate that I could not log into any streaming platforms on the TV -- only cable was available. The cherry on top was that my TV was all in Spanish (which I don't speak) so I had very limited functionality with it.

- jill (8/5): Good for what I needed… - Location pool breakfast hot tub Rooms needed a deep clean… bathrooms especially… carpet a little gross
- Ann (10/5): Great place to stay - Location right off the interstate. Room was spacious and comfy bed. Quiet all night. Nice breakfast. Wonderful staff. No issues
- Ray (10/5): - convenient clean and safe
- Michael (2/5): - Bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable
- Lisa (8/5): - The receptionist at the front office was not nice.
- Amber (7/5): -
- Juan (6/5): - Bed base was noisy
- sharon (8/5): Concert trip. - It was a quick overnight trip and our room met our needs for that. It was clean and comfortable. The only negative I have is the breakfast is only until 9:30 am. We ended up missing it.
- Barbara (10/5): - Great breakfast helpful staff
- Katherine (10/5): - Perfect for an overnight stay with my grandkids while traveling. They loved the pool. The breakfast was outstanding. Not very many dining options in the area for dinner.
- Angelo (10/5): - Traveling and needed to stop for a night. This was the best option for us due to price/quality. The place was clean and organized. The staff were super friendly!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The bed was terrible… could feel every spring
- Jet61174032950 (4/5): Could not use room due to family emergency but charged full rate. Sad. - I visited the Best Western in Hubbard, Ohio on 8.9.25. I checked in about 2pm, dropped a bag on the floor and left for a party I was attending in the area. Unfortunately, my wife at home became ill and I had to go back to the hotel, grab my bag, check out and leave.
The attendant thought I would get a refund since he went to the room and noted that it had not been used. He would discuss it with the manager. Of course, money being more important, I was charged for the room and within the rights of the hotel to do so.
My issue is that while I understand that they could do it, based on my circumstances, they would indeed credit me back given I didn’t even sit on the bed…just a bag on the floor.
It would have been classier for them not to charge me. I’ll be skipping Best Western hotels going forward. I just prefer to visit hotels that have a higher standard.
- Phillip (6/5): - Staff coukdnt be bothered to track luggage carts enough...just allowed people to keep them in room.
- Carolyn (6/5): - AC was difficult and TV was impossible. Breakfast was average. The rest was fine.
- Michael (4/5): - The door wouldn't close automatically, we had to push on it, not enough shampoo for a family room although we did like the size. Sink in room had no water.
- Nickols (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (6/5): Pleasant -
- Carolyn (10/5): Exceptional - It was nice and close to our venue.
- Dawn (8/5): - The bedframes were metal and everytime you got in & out of the bed it made a loud noise.
Teenagers were running up & down the halls until 12:30am. I realize that isn’t the properties problem but the combination of the bed & the kids didn’t allow me to sleep much.
Breakfast was okay. Several options.
It was convenient to get on & off the highway.
- Robert (10/5): Great service from Amy - Amy at the desk called us in advance to ask about our need for a handicap accessible room and although there were none available, made sure to provide a specialized chair for the shower / bath. Great service and kindness.
- Ken (8/5): - Overall fine. Ask to be on front side( away from I-80 side)
- Michael (10/5): - Good spot. Exactly what we needed.
- John (1/5): Bad -
- Christopher (6/5): - Stay was ok but the pool was dirty; rooms were dirty; couldn’t supply towels to a larger family.
- momlf (10/5): Best affordable place - This hotel is always clean and has good breakfast every time I stay there. I will go back again and recommend because it's clean and affordable.
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Larry (10/5): - I always like the pool
- Jean (8/5): Very good -
- Roden (10/5): Exceptional - The staff were very friendly. No complaints.
- Summer (10/5): Great value and exceptionally clean. 100% recommend. - Extremely clean. The room, the pool, hot tub, hallways were exceptional.
- Michael (10/5): Best Western. - We enjoyed the service, the spa and the bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
- juliemA2893TP (8/5): Would stay here again - While this property needs a little bit of remodeling, our room was really nice. Amy (Manager) was very kind. Overall impression, we received excellent service.
- Christopher (10/5): - Excellent!!!!
- Ronald (8/5): - Good value, clean room, and friendly staff
- Alison (8/5): - Tiffany at the front desk was delightful. The room was large and comfortable (and clean) and the bed was marvellous. The only downside was there was no internet conection, nor a Netflix option on the tv system, so we were unable to watch the show we are following. But a restful and easy stay. Thank you.
- Kyden (10/5): - Enjoyed stay
- Thewildwanderer (8/5): Very good - Beds were comfy. Nice stop between traveling. N/a
- David (5/5): Breakfast area was very clean and well stocked - Room smelled like stale smoke and room:/bathroom was very “tired looking “. Just needs a deep cleaning and paint
- Dominique (10/5): - That the pool and hot tub was working.
- Satyanarayana (6/5): - not the cleanest place
- Valerie (8/5): - Staff was super pleasant and helpful. Our room was spacious but very dated and well worn. Seemed to be more of an industrial area with limited dining options. Mainly fast food.
- Jonny (10/5): - Great experience overall. One of the better hotels buy the interstate that I have stayed at. Very clean, staff was great!
- Ken (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (8/5): Maybe I would stay there again. - I won’t give it a perfect rate. The beds were hard and breakfast was not hot.
- Commander (7/5): Good - The room was large and comfortable. No USB ports. No easily accessed power by the bed to plug in CPAP
- Francine (9/5): Superb - Helpful staff, clean facilities, great location for us in our travels. Lovely breakfast.
- Marc (8/5): - Average
- Paul (10/5): - The ratings were accurate, the owners try hard to deliver an affordable, safe place. The room didn’t smell, was clean and quiet. The breakfast was good. Had variety and fresh food. The coffee was some of the best hotel coffee I’ve had.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean - Very clean hotel, AC worked great. Friendly service. I’ve seen better breakfast choices but it was certainly better than some I have seen.
- Patricia (10/5): - Very friendly staff. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Good complimentary breakfast. Would definitely recommend.
- Todd (7/5): A last minute need that fitted the purpose. - Truck parking available. No local shuttle. Within a 3-5 mile radius would’ve been very helpful.
The rooms on the highway side need much thicker windows because of all the truck traffic noise from nearby on/off ramps & the highway itself.
- Gina (8/5): - This place was great for being close by to my family but not excessively expensive or busy.
- James (10/5): Perfect - Everything was good!
- Patrick (8/5): Very good -
- Mustafa (9/5): Superb -
- Jonathan (4/5): Disappointing - Staff was mean to kids in pool. VERY out dated. Card for doors didn't work. Had to keep getting reprogram
- Sarah (1/5): Despite the friendly staff and clean room, we will not stay at Best Western again due to the horrible beds. - The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was okay and room was clean. The beds were absolutely terrible. We could feel and hear the springs every time we moved, it was even noisy when my child sat down. It felt more like a box spring than a mattress. We did not sleep well and woke up feel exhausted and sore.
- Erickson (8/5): Very good -
- Halie (9/5): Superb -
- Bruce (9/5): Superb - Walk in shower Nothing
- Mark (8/5): Very good - The manager was very friendly and accommodating.. Good breakfast. Older mattresses, things starting to show their age. The elevator was very slow. No one seems to keep track of the luggage dolly's. we waited for over 45 minutes for one to show up, but never did.
- Nancy (8/5): Not worth the price. - Lobby was nice. Parking was ample. Staff was indifferent during check in, answered the phone while I was checking in. Computers were slow while checking in making the whole process longer. One bed was very squeaky.
- Natalie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fred (7/5): Not bad - Okay N/A
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I stayed here for business truck broke down. I was supposed to be out of here this morning but mechanic didn’t finish up. The hotel staff work really well with me to accommodate my needs
They were great
- Amanda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Schilling (7/5): Good -
- Trojak (3/5): Poor -
- Lisa (10/5): I am pleased to say this was a good stay.. -
- Jenna (4/5): - My bedsheets were covered in blood and burn holes all in my blankets , they wanted to switch me rooms over switching sheets out and the room they were gonna give me wasn’t another room like mine and I wasn’t getting a refund if chosen the other room
- andrew (10/5): - Very nice
- Calvin (8/5): - Great place
