Guest Reviews
- Francisco (9/5): Comfortable Stay, but Some Practical Issues - A very comfortable and well-kept hotel. The place is beautiful and tidy, the bed was very comfortable, and the room was spacious. The kitchen was also extremely useful, which made the stay even more convenient. There were a few negative points during the stay. We were woken up early by noise from machinery being used to clean the hotel entrance, which was quite disturbing. The hotel was also very poorly signposted, so it was difficult to find the entrance and we ended up driving around several times before finally getting there.
- Weiler (10/5): -
- Dog (10/5): - Snowmobiling was great. Nothing
- Karen (10/5): Easy check-in, high quality for a fair price - The room was very clean and quiet. The value for the money was beyond compare. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Check in is also very easy. Stay here. You won’t regret it!
- Phil (9/5): - N/A
- Louis (10/5): - Didn't have breakfast. I lived in solon in the 70s there for my dad's funeral.got to see some of my relatives that live up there. We went 4 wheeling it's right next door to 201 motor sports .plan on making that a annual thing and I will stay there.so will my sister and her family. I clean ac filter it was dirty.
- Thomas (9/5): A good choice for a place to stay - Very clean Hot water could be hotter
- Noe (8/5): Easy check-in, near town. - Went to go Rafting, The location was great as the company was just diagonally across the street. Checking in was great as we arrived at midnight. The only thing was one bed the sheet had an oily stain, we were to tire to care. Pretty sure they were clean some stains are just hard to remove. Happens in our home and we don't complain. Near town for good eats. I would stay again!
- Matthew (8/5): - Very clean Pool not open. No staff present
- Ashley (10/5): Gorgeous room at a great price. SXS near by. - The room was beautiful and very comfortable. Kitchen had everything you would need and so did the bathroom. Comfy couch and smart TV. Easy to find and plenty of parking.
- Debra (8/5): We enjoyed ourselves very much - Convenient and very clean Porch lights, please replace all the lights
- KENNETH (10/5): -
- Lisa (10/5): The BEST - I loved everything about it! It has a true Maine feel and was exactly what I was looking for and needed. I loved that it was not fancy and brought me back to simpler times. My father passed in 2016 and is laid to rest in Rangeley, and I try to get to Maine as much as possible. However, I struggled trying to find a place that was affordable that I could also take my dogs. The Bingham not only allowed me to take my dogs with no additional fees, they were also was extremely affordable in comparison to other places. I even had an issue with my debit card going through. They were so understanding, kind and the issue was resolved. They provided me with a room that was separated from other guests that I was grateful for because I had my dogs. The property is well landscaped and family owned. I can’t say enough! I can definitely say that I’m grateful that I found the Bingham, it’s definitely going to allow me to visit my father more often whether it’s a solo trip or with my family. I will see you next year with my new granddaughter! 😊 I unfortunately do still smoke cigarettes. The ashtray outside of my room was overflowing. But, personally, I would still give the Bingham a hundred stars if I could!
- Thomas (7/5): Surprisingly nice and cosy stay. Recommended for an overnight stay. - Modern room, good facilities and comfortable. Difficult to find the rooms when dark and no staff about. Room door access a little complicated.
- John (10/5): The property owner was very attentive and helpful! The room was so cute and spacious! Absolutely loved it! - The room was very spacious and had everything you could need!
- Patrick (10/5): -
- Debra (8/5): Very clean facility, loved the bed and the comfortable pillows - Very clean. Easy to get to No outside lights on. We had to use our phone flashlight to unlock the door. Sink was clogged
- Karen (10/5): Clean, quiet, and affordable option in Bingham/Solon - My son recently purchased a farm in Solon. We have stayed here multiple times while visiting him. The rooms are clean, quiet, and the price is great. It looks like it was recently renovated as everything seems new. There is a microwave, coffee maker, and large screen television in the double queen we usually book. We always get a good nights sleep when we stay here. I look forward to the fall foliage as the season goes on. There are some beautiful views around the hotel as well!
- Bartley H (10/5): Comfortable - Nice straight forward place!
- Hamilton (10/5): - Beautiful setting & very close to families home. That we did not stay longer !
- Deborah (2/5): I would not go back or recommend Bingham Motel - The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of towels No refund for staying only 1 night although I called upon my arrival.
The AC was broken. It was freezing and very loud. I raised the temperature to as high as 80, but it remained freezing. I had to shut it off altogether.
- Yvonne (9/5): Bed was very comfortable,Place was very clean,Staff was very friendly & helpful -
- Kaylene (10/5): -
- Dada (7/5): Poor air circulation in main bedroom - Clean, interior are nice. Family duplex room had AC only in the kitchen with sofa bed, not the main bedroom. Asked for a table fan, but none provided. Poor air circulation disrupted sleep. Used air mattress for kids in the bedroom to avoid freezing with AC on high. Very disappointing stay.
- Lotem Giladi (10/5): - Comfortable room, clean, spacious, great location, wonderful opportunity to explore the area
- Kevin (10/5): -
- Pagel (8/5): -
- Dena (10/5): - Nice clean room. Good size and location. Right off sxs trails.
- Dena (10/5): -
- Theresa (10/5): Provided everything you needed for a short stay, even coffee, toaster & microwave - The size of room was larger than most
- Jan polcher (10/5): Excellent - The rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. The little kitchen with a microwave and a few mugs is really convenient. One feels directly welcome in the room and the little brochure with some background on Bingham and the hosts. Bedding was very comfortable with nicely soft linen. It is in the concept of the Motel, but there is no real person to welcome you. One gets the access code by SMS and that is it. If there was personnel on site then probably there would be a breakfast offer which would have been nice.
- Rodney (8/5): A good option for your stay in Bingham - Well equipped room in Bingham. We booked a Deluxe room which included a kitchen and sofa which was great. Self check in process works fine.
- Bethany (10/5): Exceptional -
- Modugno (9/5): I would definitely stay again. Very nice. - The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Air conditioner was smooth and quiet. The only thing was the blinds on the window I couldn’t lower and first light was awful early
- Randall (10/5): Clean updated rooms, great location - Location
- Danielle (9/5): Superb - The family suite was perfect for our family with 2 teens and the fire pit with Adirondack chairs was a nice addition. It was 1 minute away from our whitewater rafting company, North Country Rivers. Also, we asked for more blankets for the kids and the housekeeper, Rustie, was fast and super nice, she helped us feel right at home. The pull out sofa bed was very thin so my son decided it was more comfortable to just sleep on it as the couch instead but not a big deal.
- Couch (9/5): Superb -

- Brenda (10/5): Our stay was fantastic! Can’t wait to stay again when we will be in the area - Everything Nothing
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dena (10/5): Exceptional - New check in system is great.. they send you code a couple days before to get into your room.
Comfortable bed and pillows, clean room, great location. Nothing
- Charles (8/5): Very good -
- Brittany (10/5): Exceptional - Always amazing when we stay! Love the kitchen in the family suite! Nothing!
- Tetreault (10/5): Exceptional - The price was literally unbeatable. The room was old and not one of the remodeled ones, but it was super clean.
- Cheri (10/5): Exceptional - The room was exceptional. The rustic woodwork for the kitchen countertops and shelves was so beautiful. Very spacious and clean. Checkout time is 10:00. Too early.
- Kathleen (8/5): Very good - Clean and comfortable There was no staff on sight and they did not respond to text messages at the number provided to contact staff.
- Teixeira (10/5): Exceptional - Rooms were very clean and modern. Recently updated Nothing
- Joe (1/5): AVOID THIS PLACE!!! - Nothing Do not stay here! We could not access the motel because when we arrived at 7pm, there was no one there to let us in. There were two numbers displayed on the door - we tried both, but no one answered. After waiting for half an hour, we had to leave and find somewhere else to stay. Despite messaging the property afterwards, they did not even have the courtesy to reply and still charged us for the night - this place is a scandalous rip off. I see from the reviews that we are not alone and the receptionist in the motel we finally found (in Skowhegan) said that this had happened to other people before.
Although I later found that they had sent an email with an entry code, I could not access this as there was no Internet in the vicinity.
I would also add that the motel looked shabby, unpleasant and disreputable from the outside.
This place is a disgrace and Booking.com should remove them from their platform.
- Amanda (5/5): Passable - The green pool that wasn’t open
The bathtub that didn’t drain… disgusting
- April (10/5): Exceptional - The room was super clean and very modern! They did such a good job renovating the place. Such a cute and enjoyable accommodation.
- Tanya (1/5): Tim the facility manager is the best! - Location was good They use a key code to get in the rooms, so we were able to get in our room at check in , which the key code worked . We unloaded our personal items. Husband and I are DJ’s and we had a charity event 25 minutes away and didn’t get back to room until 1 am.. our key code wouldn’t work, tried calling every number we had so we had to sleep in our vehicle.. finally at 9 am , we were able to call someone to let us in our room to retrieve our personal belongings. The Facility manager was very apologetic and he was able to let us our room.. he was able to get the room refunded.
- June (10/5): Exceptional -
- Meredith (6/5): Good - Great price and great location. Out the way enough to be quiet and quaint, but close enough to some really cool places to have plenty to do. Only 1 1/2 hrs from the Canadian border. Spacious room with a nice new little mini fridge and microwave. Very homey. I loved the keypads instead of key cards. Plenty of parking There was mold in the air conditioner. I woke up with an allergy attack and had to turn off the air conditioner and turn on the vent in the bathroom in order to clear the air. We got there at 8pm and the lighting outside was almost non-existent to the point that I drove past the place and didn't even see it. Even once I knew where it was, I could barely find the driveway. We had to use a flashlight to use the keypad to get into our room. Definitely had some horror movie vibes on the outside, but it was bright and cheery once we got into the room.
- Toshkin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angela (9/5): Would definitely book again! - The room was spacious, very cute, and very clean! The outside looked kind of barren but it was great inside. Beds were very comfy and there was a microwave, mini fridge, toaster, and little keurig station with pods, creamer, sugar, & real mugs. The TV was humongous! Prob 55 inches! I liked the digital key pad to get in and out rather than a room key. I'd definitely stay there again! Nothing I didnt like per se but I would suggest adding a mirror on the outside wall of the bathroom just so one person can get ready to get dressed/do makeup, etc while the bathroom is occupied by others trying to all get ready at the same time. We put down for 3 guests total and they left us two waters. There's no human interaction in paying and getting room access, signing in, etc since you do it through a web link emailed to you so people could view as cool and independent or a less personal experience depending on preference.
- Artur (8/5): Very good -
- John (8/5): Very good - Exceptionally clean Security system combined with lack of timely access to help
- Julianna (10/5): Exceptional - It was very open, didn’t feel claustrophobic at all, staff was super sweet even let us in early. the mobile key was very convenient, had a nice fire place and basketball hoop
- Marvel (10/5): Excellent stay, close to rafting outfitters - The newly remodeled room are clean and comfortable. The AC is cold and it’s a good value The pool is for the owner only.
- Hunt (6/5): All in all , the room was quiet and the beds were comfortable. - No breakfast. We saw what appeared to be a mouse dropping in one of the drawers plus hair from a human in another. The drawers should be wiped down every time someone checks out.
- Linnea (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Teresa (10/5): Beautiful Rooms - Beautifully renovated rooms! The staff was very kind, and apologized for not having my room ready quite as early as I had hoped due to a broken dryer problem. I simply enjoyed myself on the front porch swing until it was ready. Highly recommend!
- Roy (8/5): Really nice rooms - much nicer than you would expect if you drive by. - Our room was freshly and completely remodeled. We were surprised to find we had a two-room suite with two good sized TVs, and a nice kitchenette. When you approach the inn, the outward appearance is a little shabby with a damaged sign. The signage marking the entrance was a little confusing.
- Tina (10/5): Exceptional - It was well organized, clean, and perfect for a family.
- Sergei (8/5): Very good -
- Leonid (9/5): Very good overall. - Furniture was kind of outdated.
- David (1/5): This place sucks and is run by people who don’t give a shit. - Absolutely nothing. Absolutely everything.
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect !
- Colon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cathy (10/5): Exceptional - Newly renovated. The room was absolutely beautiful.
- Bowles (10/5): Exceptional - The renovations that were recently done were excellent! The beds were comfortable, the a/c was cold, the bathroom had great water pressure and we slept like rocks! Nothing, after days of advertising, coming back to a clean welcoming ‘home’ was amazing! Nothing bad to say
- Derek (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nada (10/5): Will def be staying here again! - Everything was almost truly great.. , the room was clean, comfy, had everything our family needed. The one thing that was slightly unexpected was the sound of the ACs. They were too loud when they started to work but otherwise
- Andrew (6/5): Beds not as described - The room was very spacious and the staff was very friendly when talking on the phone. Appeared to be recently renovated. We booked a Family suite 2 beds (description says 1 XL double bed and 1 double bed). When we arrived at 9:00pm we found out the double bed was a pull out couch that had a very thin mattress and could feel the metal frame below.
As well the walls were not sound proofed very well so you could hear everything in the next room over until they settled down.
- Dena (8/5): Very good -
- Lori (9/5): Very clean. Friendly staff. Great place to stay. Rooms are big & comfy -
- Cheryl (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeongwoo (10/5): Exceptional - This is very beautiful Motor Inn. You can see The Kennebec River very closely. You and your family can make a happy memory! Everything is okay! Thank you all very much!
- Wendy (8/5): Very convenient, recently renovated, and perfect for a quick getaway. The rail trail right behind in inn was a great pla - Rooms are beautifully redone and super clean! We arrived early and despite an initial concern that no one was in the office, we called the number on the door and they were quick to respond! New materials in the room meant that the room would have benefited from some ventilation. We did open the windows for awhile upon first arriving.
- Richard (10/5): Great, look forward to returning to explore the area! - The room was clean, bright, and comfortable. Mini fridge, microwave and a toaster! Folder in the room with information about local restaurants and trails. It was a most welcome respite after a wonderful day in Jackman to view the eclipse! We only met one staff member, briefly, Grace, she was delightful and helpful. Roadside lighting and sign at entrance would be helpful.
- Gokcen (9/5): Superb -
- Patricia (10/5): Excellent experience - The staff were friendly and helpful, the property was very clean, no smell of smoke, water was hot,
The frig, microwave, toaster, coffee maker all worked well and the TV was huge and worked great.
No complaints, highly recommend Nothing
- Furbish (9/5): Superb - The room was clean, affordable and comfortable. It was nicely designed and the only thing I would have liked to have seen that wasn't there would be a small kitchen sink near the counter housing the microwave and fridge. The bathroom was excellent with nice hot water for showers. Parking was a bit cramped in the center off the L where my room was located.
- Mclaughlin (8/5): Very good -
- Bruce (1/5): Scam. Scam. Scam - Scam. They used trick photographic angles to promote there motel. I showed up. The office was closed with a note to call two numbers. No one called me back
The closed office had mattresses blocking the windows. The motel across the parking lot was dank and dark The web sight uses trick angles to promote the inn. I drove 300 miles wasted 1 hour trying to contact the keepers I stayed 80 miles away in another motel. I was so alarmed I called my credit card company and cancelled my cards after canceling my reservation
Scam. Scam. Scam
- Patricia (9/5): Quite, friendly staff - Staff Nothing
- Mariah (8/5): Very good -
- David (9/5): Good location to hiking. Room was comfortable and clean. - Room was all new and beautiful! The pot smell around the fire outside- couldn’t go out and sit by the fire. Also- could hear a bit of noise next door.
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Cody (8/5): Very good -
- Teresa (10/5): Better than I could have imagined - New motor inn was wonderful had just been completely renovated the room was beautiful the staff was great friendly welcoming there was a propane grill in order for us to do cooking so we didn't have to eat out every night the view was incredible across the street the river was right there there's a trail behind the motel that you can follow it and walk to go to the grocery store to go pretty much anywhere I absolutely loved it cannot wait to go back we definitely go back to the Bingham motor inn..
Deb was awesome...
- Cathleen (10/5): Exceptional - Gorgeous new furnishings - very good taste. Staff went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful
- Michele (1/5): Unclean uncomfortable and unwelcome. - There was mold on the shower curtain, dust coating the blinds and behind the fridge, mildew stained ceiling, all of the towels were stained. The sheets were a weird beige, along with having a fuzzy blanket and floral sheets (none of the linens were Hótel white). The carpets were 60’s shag and I would definitely recommend keeping your shoes on. To top it all off there were cockroaches in the room, one crawled on me while sitting on the bed.
