The room and inn itself was very clean. The beds were comfortable. I do think that the room itself could use some updating and attention in the bathroom specifically. Overall, the location of this Inn though cannot be beat. We were so close to everything that anything (shopping, food, waterfront) was no more than a 5 min easy walk away. Yet, this was quiet and secluded! The inn had also provided water, ice, tea, hot coco, hot water and coffee anytime a guest would like it.
- Dave (6/5): Owners no longer seem to care - First impression was bad. Unkept entry with dead flowers and dirty front windows. Reception desk was confusing location.. like walking into an office. Stayed mid Sept I guess they think season is over. Could be better with effort.

- Deborah (10/5): - We chose the room that was right over the river, and it was an absolutely gorgeous view from our window. The air conditioner was a little loud all night, but we still were able to sleep through it. There is no elevator so if you have a lot of luggage and are not on the first floor be prepared to climb some stairs, but the staff was extremely helpful, very professional, and very friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Our room was quiet, the bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning was nice. The floor was a bit strange and off balance and the bathroom smelt of urine but I can overlook that for the price and location just once. A bit of bleach and new baseboards in the toilet area can fix the smell.

Definitely no frills. Might be fine for many - but probably would not stay for long period of time. Police station next door - definitely felt safe. Easy parking. Great walk-ability to town center. Map with “places to eat” and “things to do” in room would be nice.

Didn't really see any others when we were there, which we liked. Nice to have a Keurig, water and ice machine outside our room. Easy parking and helpful instructions for late check-in.

It is important to note that there is no elevator so staying on the second or third floors requires carrying you bags upstairs. In our case, the owner was there and helped us. If you have issues, make sure to book a first floor room.

Our room was very clean, which is the most important thing for me when it comes to a hotel stay. The bed was also very comfortable! The inn itself is in need of some minor repairs and upkeep. The coffee station was frequently left unstocked, white towels were dingy and the recycling bin wasn’t emptied for days. These are just ittle things that we noticed. Overall a darling little inn and we would stay here again.

- Adrienne (4/5): - This property was recently purchased along with surrounding commercial buildings. The new owners are not interested in running a hotel and have left management to the family who previously owned it. It doesn’t appear they care about it either. The carpet is filthy, the shower curtain liner was covered in pink mold, the bathroom/ bathtub was disgusting, there was no housekeeping service and I had to go searching for toilet paper! Management is on site only until 6:00 pm, so you are pretty much on your own. No amenities of any kind.

That gives it charm, and creaky floors :) They were in the process of replacing some windows (not in our room) which will add to the comfort of the room. We were there 2 nights, and could have easily stayed longer. Clean, comfy and close to downtown Camden.

- Pamela (6/5): - It was conveniently located. There is no elevator, and the stairs are somewhat challenging. For anyone with a mobility issue, it is highly recommended that they make sure to request a ground level room, which are most likely more expensive.

- Amy (4/5): - I arrived a little after three for my check in and found my key in the mailbox outside in an envelope with instructions. I was never told that there would not be someone there for check-in. The room was mostly clean and comfortable. The drain in the sink wasn’t working well. There is a small fridge in the room but there was nowhere to get bottled water except the local convenience store. I went in and out several times yesterday and this morning and never did see an employee on the property. As a matter of fact I never even saw another guest but they did say the place was sold out. It was a very convenient location for downtown and a great price for the area but just a little disappointed and never seeing an employee or having to bring my own bottled water I only assumed I would be provided with at least one or 2 bottles upon arrival.

No shower only. Very low toliet with bars. Dirty used glasses in room. Person was only on duty 7 am to 7 pm. We were only person in bldg first night. Sec night fire alarm went off. We were never checked on. Fire dept never came. After 20 it was turned off but later came on. Am used to Inns having water out, cookies, coffee. Nope. Had a Keuring in office. Very disappointed for the price

When someone finally showed up we were told to come back later as none of the rooms were ready. So we did and when we returned again no one was there. They left an envelope with our room key. Our room was on the 3rd floor and there was no freaking elevator. What is that all about? I've never heard of a 3 floor hotel with no elevator. In my state that is a requirement. Must not be in Maine. Never would have stayed there had I known this. Thankfully it was only one night. Room was tiny and nothing special. We won’t be back.

We were disappointed that we had great difficulty with the television and the wi-fi signal did not reach our room upstairs. If you are making a reservation and cannot climb a lot of stairs, be sure to ask if they have a lower room. We were quite surprised that there was no elevator. It's a long haul up a bunch of steps with your bags. Beyond that it's a nice place. Very clean and quiet.

The mattresses were cheap and the beds blocked the shutters so we couldn’t enjoy the view of the creek. Very easy walk to shops and restaurants.

- Ricky (2/5): - I knew we had made a mistake the minute we arrived in what is advertised as an “attractively appointed” room. The wallpaper and baseboards were full of stains, the wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling off the wall, the bathtub had mold in the edges where it met the tub enclosure. The bed sheets were wrinkled and didn’t look clean and there was actually a 2” screw lodged between the sheet and the mattress (no mattress pad) that my husband found when he got into bed. One side of the shutter type blind was not functional. The room smelled of must and mildew. The carpeting, although in good shape, did not appear to have been vacuumed and the hallway was just as bad. The carpeting down the the stairs between first and second floors was very dirty. The towels looked gross and were stained. Cleaning buckets, mops, painting equipment, rollaway beds are stored in the hallways and are a real eyesore. The front entrance door is left propped wide open all day long, including into the evening hours, when no staff members seem to be on the property after 6:00 p.m. Any person, or animal for that matter, can walk right in. A definite security risk. Considering that our 2-night stay cost us $440, we were totally ripped off. Beware that this property looks nothing like the online photos.

- Shannon (8/5): - Fantastic location right in the heart of downtown Camden. Free parking, but limited spots. The outside of the building could use a little repair and the flower boxes needed TLC (dead straggly plants in all of the window boxes), but the inside was cozy and clean. Our room was on the 3rd floor with no elevator, so getting 30 pound luggage up and down the 3 flights of stairs was challenging. Overall, would recommend this inn.
