Guest Reviews
- F5298XJthomass (2/5): Post Pandemic Revenue Optimization - We booked our stay at P.S. Lofts with RentinBA during the Pandemic in November 2021 for a very attractive rate of approximately USD100 per night. About 2 weeks before our arrival in August 2022, we got informed that they need to cancel our booking due to “booking engine malfunction”. I, then, checked their fares on booking.com and they have increased their rates to about USD300 per night. Hence, i assume, they just cancelled our confirmed booking for “revenue optimization” reasons. I would have understood if they were honest about it. Go on, RentinBA: squeeze the lemon.
- Sightseer586611 (4/5): Disappointing - It's a nice looking building and Palermo is a really interesting area.
The staff were nice too. The bed was clean and comfortable. The room was large and would be fantastic if it wasn't so worn out and in need of a good renovation, furniture included. The bathroom is in a terrible state. No sorry wouldn't recommend it.
- hannahgrech (6/5): Average stay. - It is not what say on the description and in the pictures. The bathroom is old and frankly broken. The shower had no pressure and the staff didn’t even bother with trying to fix it. The breakfast was very boring and very late, you have to order it by phone and it takes between 45’ to one hour. The apartments are big which is great but they seriously lack basic things.
- 998JohnL998 (10/5): Great little hotel - We spent 3 nights here and have 2 more on our way back. Left some luggage there which was very helpful. Great location, attentive staff and good European breakfast. Need to be able to walk up stairs but effort with it for the room.
- titoc381 (4/5): Expensive and lack of cleanliness - Lack of cleanliness
Curtains non blocking
Noise from outside and from communal areas
Breakfast insufficient no fruit/yogurt
Dated accessories in bathroom
Expensive for what it is
Overall disappointing and at 130 USD per night, an expensive choice. Original bill was 423 USD for three nights. After first night, spoke with one of the two owners pointing out problems. I was reassured my bill would be discounted by "some" amount, my understanding is that 15% would be minimum given problems highlighted and and true situation of premises and range of services. 7.8% was the discount I received, unsatisfactory and not acceptable. I voiced my disagreement but pointed out I would pay as asked. I have read some other reviews and for my life I cannot see how they got so muck luckier than I did...Dust accumulated and broken stuff do not happen overnight.
Whilst I liked the helpfulness of the staff, I feel what is being sold at a medium high price (Buenos Aires levels)should in fact be priced a good 25% lower.
- funkdoctor8 (10/5): Great Location - nice location. different. on 3 level. need to be able to walk upstairs. best part was the check-in woman. Beautiful and friendly! made me want to check in again! room was large, high ceilings, nice and cool. old place, had skeleton keys. would stay again.
- Lucy080280 (10/5): Small Boutique Hotel - I stayed at Palermo Soho Loft for two nights. Its a very small hotel...only four rooms. The room we had was large and nicely decorated. The staff at reception were great and very knowledgeable of the surrounding area. The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar, but there are plenty within walking distance. There is no elevator, but the staff carried our bag for us.
- Matt (8/5): Great room, location, staff! Poor wifi - Everything was great! The room was huge! Reception super helpgul. The wifi was not good, only 69 ping and .5 mbps download speed, for those interested. But there are nearby cafes.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Lindo - Buena, bien ubicado, y bien ubicada la habitación, tranquilo y mucha reserva.
- Danillo (8/5): Muito bom - Recepcionistas muito prestativos. Ótima localização.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very nice hotel and location - There was an issue as we arrived. We arrived late, the door was locked, and the only number was for the empty reception. Had it not been for another guest leaving the hotel we would have been stuck in BA for the first night without a room. Once we made it to the reception, we dialed the "in-house" after-hour# and someone eventually showed up to check us in. I understand that they do not want to list personal numbers, but at the very least, people that have confirmed reservations should have a means to contact the hotel after hours. Other than this, we were very happy with this hotel. The room was big and very nice, A/C worked great, perfect location, and very clean. We would come back again.
- Chinchillas (10/5): great hotel - great hotel with huge room. staff is nice. The palermo soho is a fun area with a lot of trendy shops and good restaurants. The area is safe. We went to BsAs during new year and at 1/1 all shops closed but luckily at 2/1 it returned normal so we could feel how nice this area is. The room is spacious and comfortable, but the jacuzzi seems quite dirty. The staff is helpful. But the hotel has no lift so it's a bit difficult to go to room with our suitcases. The hotel is not close to the metro station and it takes about 25 minutes walk to the nearest one.
- evan-b-travel (10/5): Great location! - Palermo Soho Loft is in a great location. The room was very very spacious, and the staff very polite. Was just here for a night before meeting up with other friends, but would definitely stay here again!
- samta42 (10/5): Full value for money - It is a spacious room, with high ceilings etc, in the middle of a lovely neighbourhood. The front desk was very helpful too. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Just make sure you can carry your luggage upto the rooms.
- mariasI8467PV (10/5): Awesome place, great people - We had a great time staying at Palermo Soho Loft.
The place is amazing, the location is awesome and the people that runs the hotel is super dedicated, friendly and helpful!
The rooms has a lot of space so can enjoy being in the room and even meeting friends for a coffee.
The only thing that might need some attetion are the bathrooms. Baths are working, super clean and very nice decorated. It just that you can tell some signs leave by the time and the use (the bathrube is a little yellowish and there is some random stains).
- AnnaU132 (10/5): Very nice hotel in the best part of BA - One of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. Maybe not the most luxury, but really worth the price. Our room was more lika a beautiful suit, perfect for a family with 2 Children, with the big bathroom and a fridge so you can have your own breakfirst. The only thing we maybe missed was a terrace, but wthe room had a great view. And perfect location with the nicest streets, restaurants and shops of BA around. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. Would love to go back there!
- jackies341 (8/5): A great week. - Room on top floor was spacious and was a good place to be for a week. Great service from especially Ariel. Always attentive and helpful with my special requests. Only downside was that the water pressure was poor all week and stopped completely for the last day. However nothing was troublesome for Ariel. I would definitely stay here again especially if Ariel is still around. email me reelboy2@eircom.net
- 248johnH248 (10/5): Great Week - We booked this well ahead for a week stay at the beginning of December 2014. It is a block of four studio apartments on 1st and second floors above a (then vacant) unit at a crossroads in Palermo. Location is good in a safe spot with lots of restaurants, cafes and bars around. Metro is a fair walk, about 12 blocks, but in fact we nearly always used taxis as they are very cheap and instantly available.
Staff were charming, particularly Ariel, and extremely helpful in dealing with our many queries. Apartment was very large with good daylight and very large bathroom. Aircon and basic sink / kettle. Very large comfortable bed.
We loved our stay here and it was a pity we were not able to stay there again on our return to BA in January (but we did stay in the same area).
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Muy buena atención y comodidad. Es muy recomendable y un precio bastante accesible
- daniela (4/5): Viaje corto - No hay ascensor. El personal es super amable.
Sugiero que sustituyan toallas y sábanas. Muebles rotos y heladera q no cierra. Tv antiguo.
- CuriousGF (10/5): Fantastic Apartment-like Boutique Hotel - The hotel only has 4 rooms so you get very personal service from the 24 hour concierge. Their expertise and willingness to help really made things a lot easier for us. Our room was on the 2nd floor overlooking the intersection. I recommend this room over the rest of the 3. I did see them all. The room is bigger than an average sized apartment in the states. The bathroom was very large as well and had a huge Jacuzzi tub. There is a small balcony off the bathroom which you can actually walk out onto. The location was perfect with many restaurants, shops and taxi cabs available all the time. We would definitely stay here again.
- Randy (10/5): Perfect End to a great vacation - We were pleasantly surprised when Carl showed us to our room , which was huge with tall french doors that opened with a view of the street below . The service was excellent and very helpful . I would defiantly stay there again , a great deal for the money.
- Dave Glass (10/5): Fantastic.. - The Palermo Soho Lofts was a terrific experience...the room is large, the price is awesome, the staff was fantastic and a pleasant to deal with...the only negative was the towels...they didn't seem that new and worried me a bit...but other than that, just a great experience. Its near a shopping district, really close to a cool little Czech Brewery, and across the street from a neat little café... Take an easy chance on this sweet place..
- Somewhere_Special (8/5): Spacious boutique rooms in the heart of Palermo - We loved the room, it was HUGE and well equipped. Shame we were not staying longer to appreciate it more.
Very well located for shopping, eating and socialising, the typical reason for visiting Palermo.
Service was excellent, and they could not have done more to be helpful with our requests.
The only small gripes was the shower over the jacuzzi is not a good idea if you really want a shower... also the mini-bar door would not close, so the fridge was always open.
- OttawaTravelGypsy (8/5): Airy, spacious boutique hotel. - I recently (Jan. 2012) spent a few days at Palermo Soho Loft. Its right in the heart of Palermo Soho, near all the best shopping, restaurants and a great location to explore Palermo Soho and the rest of Buenos Aires. The staff was very accommodating. Room was clean, airy and spacious. If you need anything, just ask and they will arrange it or point you in the right direction.
