Fixtures in the bathroom were broken and not fixed. I see they are renovating in the hotel . so perhaps that might be the reason The breakfast team were not ready at the restaurant at 7am, no staff was available.

Normally, when I stay in a hotel, they are very understanding regarding a late check-out request within reason. La Montagne was not and I paid for the 2 extra hours which was my choice but I will most probably not return.

Developed a skin reaction from taking a shower and checked out immediately and no you not gonna receive your refund. IN SHORT PLACE LOOKS NOTHING LIKE ADVERTISED. Staff not so helpful either. Place looked dirty and old and had a very fowl smell. The pictures looks nothing like the place take your money elsewhere

I wanted a room with a sea view, which we never had. I tried to upgrade but was told no orther rooms were available. But our room was lovely Maintenance must please check on the gas braai at our unit 405. My partners arm hair was scorched twice in a row from the flame that came out when trying to start the gas braai.

Tshepiso (4/5): Very disappointing experience - it did not live up to the reviews and pictures - The views and close proximity to the beach was great. - Wifi connection was inconsistent, the TV and other devices kept buffering. - Aircon suddenly stopped working (rooms were hot). When we asked reception about it we received different stories. I was offered a fan which was never delivered to my room. - Room service orders were very slow. It wasn't until we called reception again after an hour of placing my order that our food was delivered to the room - food was cold. - Tea station was not refilled daily. I had to buy my own tea bags and coffee.

Willem De Waal (7/5): Great location and love the hotel. But checking in needs to be sorted out. They gave us the wrong room from the start. T - Great location, awesome entertainment. Got the wrong room when checking in. Had to move rooms during our stay. Messed up half a day because of this. We booked last November already.

Reception staff offerred the barest info about facilities. Beach access gate not marked/ indicated, the panel was not easily accessible / or even visible from the hotel side, only from beach side.

Nick (4/5): Great location, but poor service, room issues, and breakfast problems negatively affected the stay. - The location is great and the overall setting is beautiful. The pool area and views are very nice. We were initially given the wrong room and told it was an upgrade when it was clearly a downgrade. The air conditioning in the first room was not working, with temperatures around 27°C, making it very uncomfortable. Although we were moved, this only happened the next day after multiple complaints, which disrupted our stay. There were also issues with breakfast, which was not properly handled and added to the overall frustration. The handling of these issues was disappointing.
