• gregorye141 (10/5): Love to spend more time here - Unfortunately, this hotel was only booked as an overnight stay before a flight home from Naples airport. Yet, we were warmly welcomed and treated with great courtesy. All travellers were given assistance to their rooms with special care for those less able. Whether support in getting cases from the coach or with understanding the SIM card door key. Thank you Davide. He alone will bring me back. Lovely rooms & facilities. We had a great sleep. Lovely breakfast dining room and continental fare with a great range.

• Soraya (2/5): - Room 306 had several serious faults that made our stay extremely uncomfortable and disappointing. • The bathroom light only worked if the key card was positioned in a very specific way even after numerous attempts by the staff and ourselves to finally get it to work. • The main room light could not be switched off due to an electrical fault, leaving us no option but to cut the power from the fuse box in the room as advised by the front desk reception. Moving rooms was not an option as the hotel was fully booked. • As a result, we were unable to use the air conditioning overnight once the power was off in the room to turn off main room light (which was very bright) making the room unbearably hot and leading to a very poor night’s sleep. • To access the bathroom at night, I had to use my phone torch to reach the fuse box, which caused the main light to switch back on and disturb my son and husband. • Being required to operate the fuse box ourselves was not only completely baffling but also potentially dangerous, and certainly not a solution I would expect in a 4-star hotel. This is not the standard of service I expected, particularly as this stay was booked as a special treat for my son’s upcoming 16th birthday and we had travelled from the UK. Instead of being a comfortable and enjoyable experience, it was stressful and frustrating. We will not be returning to this hotel ever again!
• aliciafK9805CP (2/5): Scammed by taxi driver to get there and dirty rooms - Worst hotel experience of my life, from someone who has travelled to 23 countries. Before even getting there we took a taxi from Napoli Centrale and got scammed. Taxi meter showed €16 by the time we reached the hotel and he demanded €70. Since the building we’ve just arrived to looks like a post apocalyptic prison we feared for our lives and just paid the €70. His excuse was that this hotel was so far away from Naples that this is the standard pricing, and that he had even given us a discount of €10.. We check in and reach our room and it legit looks like it hasn’t been cleaned since whoever stayed there last. The building felt eerie and I legit felt like something horrible was gonna happen. We spent a total of 10 minutes in the room and went right back downstairs to leave. Tried to get a refund because of the dirty room but they were unable to.. If you are so unlucky to have already made a booking at this hotel, whatever you do please take the train there. It’s a sweaty walk with stairs and uneven pavement but it’ll be the only way to ensure you don’t get scammed. Hope this helps anyone in a similar situation

• Anthony (8/5): - Hotel was well located for the University Federico II where I attended a conference. It is close to Maradona Stadium but otherwise it is somewhat isolated. Easily accessible by public transport and relatively in easy reach of the airport. Restaurants are somewhat mixed fare. The hotel is excellent and the staff very helpful and attentive. The only slight concern was the food which is in need of some attention. The hotel refers to its restaurant as fine dining but it really isn't.

• luciano (10/5): PECCATO LE TOVAGLIETTE - Come ogni anno mi reco in questo hotel in questo periodo, ed ogni volta non posso che confermare l'eccellenza di questo hotel. Dalla posizione al personale molto qualificato. L'unica insufficienza l'ho messa nella pulizia per colpa delle tovagliette in plastica forate posizionate sui tavoli sia a colazione che a cena che non vengono mai sostituite e neanche pulite. Sarebbe meglio una semplice tovaglietta in carta usa e getta.

Pernotto praticamente un terzo dell’anno in alberghi (soprattutto all’estero)e non mi è mai capitato di dover pagare un extra per le uova strapazzate. Un albergo a quattro stelle dovrebbe offrire un colazione completa. Per il resto non ho nulla da eccepire.

Polvere accumulata negli angoli e segni di usura ovunque. Riscaldamento non funzionante alla data del 10 settembre, a quanto pare per "direttive" di risparmio energetico da parte del comune di Napoli. Ventilazione forzata "fredda" nella camera non escludibile in alcun modo. Nella tripla prenotata, il terzo letto era in realtà un divano aperto per l'occorrenza.

Bei Anreise mit dem Auto muss man durch die Via Guglielmo Marconi zum Parkplatz fahren (Piazzale V. Tecchio ermöglicht keine Zufahrt). S-Bahn in der Nähe (20 Minuten ins Zentrum).

Si vous cherchez un vrai restaurant autour c'est compliqué.Le personnel est au petit soin et l'on a tout ce qu'il faut dans l'hotel

• Quest709942 (10/5): Great hotel with good public transport connections - This was a classy looking hotel right next to the Napoli football team home ground (not sure it it would have been so peaceful on match day). We had a lovely couple of days sightseeing in Naples which was easily reached by the metro just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel a single into the city was €1.50, the trains are regular and super clean, ticket machines offer language choice so the hotel is ideally located as you have the quiet of being outside the city but you can be in the city in 10-15 minutes. Don't get ripped off by taxi drivers, if you want advice on taxi costs speak to the hotel reception they are super helpful and want to help you get the most out of your stay. Rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was continental but had a nice choice of pastries and delicious coffee. If you want bottled water buy it outside the hotel as the minibar water is a bit steep at €3. There is a local restaurant (Ciarly) that is busy with locals - always a good sign, the food is very good, reasonable price and the staff friendly. Also a couple of cafes one that serves very good gelato. All in all a great stay, I would recommend this hotel to friends.

• Navigator09805847508 (10/5): Nice Hotel - We have spent one night at The Hotel Palazzo Esedra due to a problem with our return flight home and was accommodated here. We found it to be comfortable, immaculate, helpful staff who looked after us very well. I can’t comment on the menu as our stay was very short. It isn’t really a family hotel although they would be welcome. It seems to me to be very well equipped for business personnel.
• Louise_R_Plym (10/5): A lovely and stylish hotel - As a hotel, it offers a luxury and stylish environment. Rooms are very comfortable, breakfast offers continental variety, nicely presented and fresh. We had dinner one evening, unfortunately this didn’t live up to the standards of the rest of the hotel, disappointing but there are lots of local restaurants to explore in the area. In terms of sightseeing you need to master the local bus service or a 1.5hr walk to the harbour/castle area. Staff were all friendly and helpful. A most enjoyable stay!
• DOBKOT5868 (6/5): HIT AND MISS - Our first impression of the hotel from outside was not impressive, but, understanding that it was so close to biggest football stadium in the city, we didn't care much. Checking in was great, staff extremely pleasant and helpful, in particular Alberto who easily find time to help everyone . As we have read reviews about hotel, we must say that management obviously took seriously some advices from clients , such as hot water, coffee machine in the restaurant and wifi, all of them sorted out. There was no problem with hot water, two coffee machines available in the restaurant and wifi very good. Hotel is situated close to two metro lines, for easy and frequent trains to the centre and beyond. Our room was very clean we can only praise cleaning staff. On the minus side, for 4 star hotel one is expecting a bit more for breakfast, as mentioned in previous reviews, there is no cooked breakfast ( hard boiled eggs I suppose don't count in that category), cold cuts with very few varieties and for people wanting healthy breakfast even less choice. There is still no kettle in the room, early birds still have to wait for breakfast room to open to have one. Also, complementary bottle of water would be advisable instead of 3euros payable from mini bar ( remember, this is still 4star hotel ). All in all, we were feeling very welcome there, hopefully those minor tweaks will be sorted in near future

• Truthseekers12 (8/5): Beautiful hotel with amazing staff - We spent a week in this wonderful hotel and enjoyed it immensely. The reception staff were wonderful, so helpful and pleasant. The hotel was spotless, extremely clean and was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and when I requested extra pillows, they arrived with them within ten minutes. We have travelled around the world and would definitely rate this hotel as four stars. The location is great with easy access to an incredible public transport system which is frequent and extremely cheap. The Napoli zoo is within ten minutes walking distance. The only thing that stopped me giving it five stars was that there is no hot food at breakfast and they do have a selection of cold meats,cheese etc but when you like a cooked breakfast, this was not available. This did not spoil our experience and was a minor inconvenience. Thank you so much to all the staff for all your care and attention.
• Jean Louis (6/5): L'hôtel moyen - Le séjour était bien passé mais le seul point positif de cet hôtel est son emplacement près du transport urbain. Mais l'environnement de l'hôtel n'est pas terrible. il parait être situé dans un terrain abandoné pas de végétation ni à l'intérieur ni à l'extérieur. I y avait plein de verres cassés partout sur le chemin sutout de l'hôtel. La décoration de l'hôtel est dépourvue de l'âme vous y trouvez même pas une plante. Belle salle de petit déjeuner mais le petit déjeuner était comme dans les hôtels ibis, seulement ils ont mis des gâteaux pour remplir la table, pas de salé (sauf l'oeuf et un seul fromage). ils nous ont dit qu'ils étaient en train de refaire les salles de bain car après la douche il y avait l'eau partout mais je pense que l'hôtel doit revoir aussi les robinets ruillés et la moquette des couloir avec plein tâches. Par contre le staff sont sympas!

• shalev (10/5): Definitely recommend!!! - First of all it’s a really nice location, lots of shops around and the building looks very nice. The room was comfortable with very high specs especially for the price and the fact that the place has its own free parking makes the experience very comfortable especially if you travel with a car. The most important thing to mansions is the exceptionally amazing stuff!! They were so kind and polite, gave us very good recommendations for restaurants in the city and made our stay amazing!!!

• Abu (6/5): - Nothing wow, looks nicer in the pictures but just an average hotel. I found a hair on the toilet seat which wasn't nice but apart from that was a clean and convenient hotel for us as it was near the airport.
• marco (6/5): Small things matter..... - Small things matter. A complimentary bottle of water in a four star hotel dring 30 degrees heat would have been nice - but the minibar cost was 3e a bottle which is expensive. Breakfast was very basic and not up to standard for this star rating. No hot food, poor choice of cheese and ham (emental and cotto only) and very little choice of fresh fruit. It was a let down.

• RJ (4/5): - The hotel advertises high speed WIFI. Over the duration of our 6 day stay, the internet never worked sufficiently to sustain a connection. They refused to address the situation. We spoke with someone who has stayed at the hotel for three months, and the same thing - lots of talk and apology, but they know we are tourists and are never coming back, and get by with excuses. They refused to offer any credit for the lack of wifi. Cellular service is very expensive overseas and it has cost us dearly to be without wifi in the hotel. Bottom line - if you value having wifi to connect with whomever, and for whatever reason, particularly if you are expecting what the hotel advertises, DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!
• Verified traveler (8/5): Great Stay! - The front desk people were great and so accommodating in any request we asked. Because it was our wedding anniversary, we were given a free upgrade!

• Verified traveler (10/5): - It was a bit far from the touristy areas, but it was only two block from the Metro station and close to a lot of restaurants. Very luxurious inside.

• Eric (8/5): - Good hotel but systems are dated and the air conditioning leaves a lot to be desired- the room thermostat only works if you complain - the temperature is set at 25plus and is controlled by a central computer- I had to change rooms at 12.30am because we couldn’t get the temperature down- the night manager suggested I take a cold shower- which was in fact a sensible suggestion but not one you should have to do - unless you are early for breakfast the choice gets very limited - if you wait long enough they will top it up - my impression is that the hotel minimizes costs at the expense of their guests comfort - however I cannot fault the cleanliness and the attempt by the management staff to be helpful

• Salvatore (8/5): - Our stay of two weeks was rather pleasant in this hotel . This a place that when in ‘off season’ can be good value for your money for what you get , not so sure though in high season when you will need to fork out a lot more. The area is not ‘spectacular’ and rather dull , at night not very safe if you walk alone. The outside of the hotel was scattered with broken glass of broken bottles and weeds from the first day and up to day we left. Approach to the hotel entrance as you arrive for the first time can be rather challenging and difficult to find. Our standard double room was very comfortable except for the bed itself which was only adequate for the 4 star status . Plenty lights and switches to operate also the blinds, nice large make up mirror in bathroom lots of storage space, very efficient air conditioning, mini bar but not coffe/tea facilities , good quality toiletry. Peculiar and not so pleasant odour in floor corridors, maybe due to the soiled carpet ,steam cleaned during our stay but not dried properly. Hotel staff from concierge to breakfast room were excellent through out ,all the staff you meet in public areas they acknowledge and greet you every time. Particularly Annamaria and the night concierge staff - Luciano b/fast Headwaiter with a charming dynamic personality very attentive andprofessional Buffet b/fast adequate but could be more inspiring . Minimalistic and not ordinary decor with the sort of ‘Marmite effect’.You either like it or hate it!
