- Don (9/5): Overall great with 1 minor issue - The room was spacious and clean. The facilities were great and the breakfast spread was adequate. We were informed that it was a non smoking hotel. However as we stepped into our room, it smelt really strongly of cigarettes.

- Tong Hien (10/5): - 今次是第三次来喜来登酒店住宿，有回家的感覺。大部分人都還熟悉，此次特別要感謝的是前台的黃蘋小姐，办事認真效率好，23樓的紀琳容小姐，溫柔，細心，門前的小弟弟陈伟强熱情，勤快。還有餐廳的眾多員工都對我們很好。下次來還是首選喜来登！ 對二樓中餐廳充滿斯待，可惜第一天到達酒店當晚六點多准備去晚膳，等了十多分鐘，整個餐廳一個人都沒有，只好作罷，改去萬象城潮府食飯。希望下次有機會能嘗試大廚的手藝。

- Artem (9/5): Ruined New Year's Eve due to Booking.com error and zero customer support. - The hotel staff was professional and tried their best to resolve a critical reservation error caused by Booking.com. Booking.com failed to transmit my full 3-night reservation. Upon arrival on New Year's Eve with my wife and two young children, the hotel only had us in for 1 night. The most disgraceful part was the complete lack of customer support — I received zero response to my emergency messages during the entire crisis.

- Metatt (6/5): This experience was below the standards expected of a five-star hotel. We would have been better off - Location, Breakfast I booked a suite intended for three guests, but the hotel only permitted two to stay, which was disappointing. More concerningly, on the second night of our stay, a hotel staff member entered our room late at night using a key card without prior notice or permission. This incident was a serious breach of privacy and made us feel extremely uncomfortable.

Special thanks to Ms. Rachel and the reception for accomodating to our request to cancelling one night for one of the 8 rooms we booked. They were accomodating to our needs.The Club King Rooms is big and clean. The housekeeping personnel left personalised notes and this makes us feel welcomed. The location is near to major shopping malls and some of the shops/cafes nearby close late near or past midnight. Everything is good.

- Choh (9/5): Helpful staff - Booked 5 night's stay at this hotel because of its good location. There is a large modern shopping mall -MIXC within 5-10 minutes' walk, behind the hotel. The buffet breakfast is good with a mix of Shantou and western cuisines. The hotel staffs are helpful, especially the duty manager who had assisted us to change the room to non-smoking room and had a large air purifier placed in the new room after we feedback. There is always bit of mouldy smell in the rooms and the corridors. It's also very peculiar that the toilet door in the rooms cannot be locked. Was checked into a smoking room even though we have specifically requested for non-smoking.

- Wai Ping (10/5): Happy New Year - I am very satisfied with this hotel. The staff at the front desk could communicate with us in Cantonese during the check-in process. He also upgraded our room. We asked the hotel's check-out time the night before check-out, and the staff immediately took the initiative to delay our check-out for us, but in the end we did not delay check-out. The staff took the initiative to help and friendly. Although this hotel is more than ten years, it has been well maintained. There is no odor in the room and no sewage odor in the bathroom. The overall room is very satisfactory and the bed is very comfortable and also exceeding my expectations. There is a large shopping mall nearby, which is very convenient for shopping and eating. We had buffet dinner at the hotel on New Year's Eve. Although there were not many varieties, the price was reasonable. Some of the seafood was not too fresh. I hope the hotel will improve it. I stay again next time.

- 434KateL (10/5): Awesome! - Sheraton has always been one of my favorites. The one at Shantou impressed me with awesome customer service skills along with its beauty and convenient location. We were there for the Cheo Chau event and everyone had a wonderful time. Room was larger than other hotels we have stayed at in China so that’s always a plus. Buffets had a fabulous selection of American and Asian cuisines. Hotel is located at a very convenient area with shopping and courtyards nearby. Overall, I am very thankful we stayed here. Special thanks to General Manager Eric. He took great care of all of us who were there at the event.

- T4196UR_ (10/5): 23 rd Floor Lounge - The best hotel in Shantou just got better. The Sheraton Shantou Hotel (now operated by Marriott) provides the ultimate experience for those visiting or doing business in Shantou. The rooms are excellent, the breakfast is awesome and the location is perfect. This time, I also enjoyed the services of the Club Stay which provides access to the Lounge on the 23rd floor. Open from the early hours of the morning until late at night with snacks and beverages, light meals at lunch and dinner times, and the best view. Above all is the Longe staff - especially Eleven (that's his name) - professional, polite, very helpful and quick to assist in any way possible. Thank you Sheraton / Marriott Shantou and thank you Eleven - what a great experience!

It’s well located and the hotel staff was helpful in all aspects - from being flexible and helping find solutions when our credit card was denied to offering treating us a meal when we were short of cash, and even helping us with a banking issues after our stay. Would highly recommend a stay there.

- Rakafet (8/5): Quick exploring Shantou while enroute to HK - Was on my way back from Dong Shan County and decided to do a night stop here. Heard so much of the Shantou food and peolpe. I choose this hotel coz of the location is near by 2 Mall and closed to the 龙眼街 where have a lot of choice of specialty food location of the hotel is good, easy to move around with 2 mall next to it. One is alittle smaller scale with some eatery where else the one across the road is bigger with more varieties of shops and food. Future down the road, you get to walk into 龙眼街 where have a lot of choice of specialty food. This streets seems to be a popular place for visitors/ tourist to come try out the local food. I kind of like this hotel, simple good and clean, conveniently located. Good value for money and not that far from Shantou Hghspeed rail station.

Location is unbeatable with the city's upscale shopping malls within walking distance. The room is clean, cozy and spacious. Staff is polite and helpful. Breakfast is a real gem. Apart from the common ham and bread, it also serves some local delicacies. Highly recommend.

MY WIFE AND I STAY AT THE HOTEL DURING OUR RECENT VACATION TO SHANTOU CITY. OVERALL THE HOTEL WAS REALLY NICE. BUT TO OUR SURPRISE, WE WITNESS THIS HAPPENING ON THE LAST DAY OF OUR STAY DURING THE EARLY BREAKFAST TIME. WE OPTED TO HAVE AN EARLY BREAKFAST RIGHT AT 6.30AM (HOTEL BREAKFAST CAFE OFFICIAL OPENING TIME) AS WE WERE LEAVING THAT MORNING FOR GUANGZHOU CITY. SOMEHOW, THERE SEEM TO BE LIMITED STAFF AROUND RIGHT AT THAT TIMING....MAYBE THEY ARE ON THE WAY DESPITE HAVING SUCH OFFICIAL OPENING TIME OF 6.30AM. MY WIFE TOOK HER USUAL "INGREDIENTS AND NODDLE" IN A BOWL AND NORMALLY A CHEF WILL BE ON SERVICE TO TAKE IT OVER FOR THE COOKING (SOUPING)...BUT AS THERE AREN'T ANY CHEF AROUND, SHE CAN ONLY PLACE HER BOWL ON THE CHEF TABLE FOR Q AND THERE ARE SEVERAL OTHER IN Q NOW. THEN A WHILE LATER, A MAN WHO WE BELIEVED IN HIS OWN CLOTHING (JACKET OVERALL, NOT THE USUAL CHEF SUIT) CAME TO THE CHEF WORKING SECTION AND STARTED TO COOK. WE WERE PRETTY STUNT AND SHOCK AT THAT MOMENT. WE STARTED WONDERING WHAT WE SHOULD DO NEXT. OK, OUR GUESS IS HE COULD BE THE CHEF IN CHARGE, HE OR HIS SECTION IS LATE FOR WORK, HE IS TRYING HARD TO CLEAR THE Q OF "BOWLS OF INGREDIENTS AND NODDLES" AWAITING FOR COOKING. HE IS BEING NICE TRYING TO CLEAR THE Q ! WE HAVE JUST GOT OVER THE PANDEMIC. FOOD SAFETY FACTOR NEED TO BE STRICTLY EMBRACED AND ENSURED FOR CUSTOMERS. HIS INTENTION IS GOOD BUT HE GOT TO STRICTLY CONFORMED TO THE SOP....I AM ASSUMING IT IS A MUST TO BE IN HIS CHEF WORK ATTIRE BEFORE COMING INTO THE CHEF COOKING FACILITY TO UPHOLD THIS MOST IMPORTANT UPMOST IMPORTANT CRITERIA OF FOOD SAFETY! WE TRIED HARD TO FEEDBACK TO THE CAFE MANAGER, MR HE. BUT SAD TO SHARE, HE WAS NOT VERY APPROACHABLE. HE DID NOT REALLY WANT TO LISTEN. AS WE WERE SPEAKING TO HIM, HIS BODY LANGUAGE OF GRADUALLY DISTANCING AWAY FROM US AND WAS ONLY ASSURING US HE WILL BE LOOK INTO THE MATTER LATER TELL US HE WASN'T KEEN WITH THE TOPIC. AM NOT TOO SURE HOW I CAN ILLUSTRATE THAT MORNING HAPPENING BUT NEVERTHELESS MY INTENTION IS REALLY TO SHARE THIS IMPORTANT CONCERN ON FOOD SAFETY HAZARD RISKS TO EVERYONE FOR AWARENESS, ATTENTION AND SHARING. BEING A BONVOY LOYALIST , IT WAS RATHER DISAPPOINTING TO SEE THIS HAPPENING AT A MARRIOTT FACILITY. HERE WE ARE TALKING ABOUT A 5 STARS FACILITY ! SUCH HAPPENING SHOULD NOT BE OCCURRING ! WE NEED TO UPHOLD FOOD SAFETY TO THE BEST EVER LEVEL IN A HOTEL FACILITY. ANY NON CONFORMANCE OF THE USUAL STANDARD PRACTICE CANNOT BE SPARE ! HOPE MARRIOTT AND THE HOTEL TOP MANAGEMENT CAN LOOK INTO THE MATTER AND SERIOUSLY PURSUE 101% CONFORMANCE FOR THE SAKE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS AND LOYALISTS.....HOPE THE SHARING IS HELPFUL TO ALL.
