- Ceol (6/5): - The staff were courteous & helpful despite language barrier. The beds were comfortable. When we raised the issue of the aircon not seeming to work satisfactorly we were offer another room. The room lacked space for more than one suitcase & could have done with an additional bedside locker.

- Mickael (9/5): -
- Anthony (8/5): Grand old gal - Quiet room nice breakfast All good
- Cynthia (10/5): Great stay in very comfortable hotel - The staff were exceptional. The hotel is beautiful. Dark bed linen, I much prefer white bed linen
- dewit (10/5): -
- Cahyadi (10/5): Delicious breakfast with fresh juice not canned. - Good location, good service, good conditions Nothing
- Corry (8/5): - Prachtig hotel zeer sfeervol
- Amrita (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at Sarasvati Borobudur. The staff and especially the soft spoken Mr. Bambang, were friendly and always eager to help us for all our needs. The hotel itself is a lovely complex with its large colonial style architecture, a spacious lobby and comfortable rooms. It is very conveniently located too. Very close to the Borobudur temple and other local restaurants too. Though the food at Sarasvati borobudur is delicious and does not want to make you go anywhere else. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely come back another time.
- Desiree (10/5): Enjoyable - Lovely and fabulous staff. They helped us organise driver to take us where we needed to go

- Vicki (8/5): For visiting Borobudur you can’t beat it. - The old buildings are beautiful they are just in need of some upkeep. It’s getting a little shabby around the edges but the bones are fabulous. Nothing really, the staff were friendly not much English . The breakfast was a little short on variety.
- Alexander (10/5): -
- Anthony (10/5): - Wonderful quiet hotel located locally near the temples entrance. The staff was lovely and helpful in every way. Breakfast and dinner here was delicious and it is located in a local street with other options.
- Manuele (5/5): -
- Anita (8/5): Very nice hotel close to Borobudur - Very nice hotel, colonial luxury feel. Especially the shared places are very nice. Food was good. Reception upon arrival was not very helpful. In general while we did not have any issues, staff seemed missing to support.
- An (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amanda (8/5): - The concierge was helpful and pleasant. Rooms were simple but clean and comfortable
- Judy (2/5): - This was the worst hotel we stayed in on our trip to Indonesia. The staff were not welcoming, no restaurant or bar in hotel. Breakfast was minimal, extremely basic and almost inedible. No atmosphere. The area around the hotel was not great, you need to get a taxi to somewhere decent to eat. Not within walking distance of Borobudur entrance. Our request to checkout an hour later was denied even though we were probably the only people staying in hotel.
Give it a miss, I would not recommend at all. That said the swimming pool was nice.
- VICTORIA (10/5): - A modest place conveniently located.
- Dt (10/5): The - The staff is extremely friendly and helpful , not only to us, but to others as well Nothing
- K (9/5): Superb -
- Benita (10/5): Hotel with good Borobudur vibes - A beautiful hotel, I liked everything there: The spacious room, swimming pool, garden. The staff was very helpful in any way. Big thanks! -
- Aldar (8/5): Very good - Quiet place for relaxing Almost too empty. Only one staff
- Tamara (9/5): Superb -
- Kathryn (9/5): Very good option in walking distance to Borobudur temple. - This is a very comfortable mid-range hotel in walking distance to the temple (about 750m to main gate). The hotel is quite lovely in the old style. Walkways have beautiful tiled floors & table lamps outside the rooms. The pool area is lush & pool water quality excellent. Staff are friendly and responsive.
Our ‘junior suite’ was enormous: entry, lounge with desk & fridge, large bedroom with tv & chest of drawers, dressing area with wardrobe, main bathroom with shower & toilet plus a second toilet room near the entry! Bed was firm but comfortable. A/C was good.
Breakfast (in a lovely spacious dining room) was a-la-carte with choice of western or Indonesian breakfast. Personally, I enjoyed the Indonesian options & it was actually nice to not be overwhelmed by buffet choices. I tried both the nasi goreng with egg & chicken & the chicken soup (soto ayam) & both were delicious. With coffee and fresh fruit, it was a substantial breakfast. My husband went with the western options (toast, eggs, fruit) and was also happy. Nothing
- Andreja (9/5): Nice stay - Nice location, big room, great beds, tasty breakfast, free drinking water for refilling A little bit outdated furniture
- Anu (9/5): Luxurious stay - The grand building is exquisite . It has beautiful swimming pool. Some more toiletries could have been provided. Hair drier was nor there.
- Mohd (10/5): Exceptional -
- De (8/5): Very good - Location almost next to the temple, helpful staff, nice pool Small choice at breakfast
- Jue (9/5): Superb - Very good service,, prepared take away breakfast for us at 6am.
- Giulio (10/5): Exceptional -
- Giulio (10/5): Exceptional -
- Esther (10/5): Beautiful hotel and close to Borobudur! - A beautiful hotel! Nice, comfortable rooms and very clean. The pool was nice and well taken care of. I would definitely come back here.
- Siti (10/5): Exceptional - Location perfect, walking distance to Borobudur temple , beautiful pool . Breakfast excellent Nothing . Everything’s there is perfect
- Malgorzata (9/5): Superb - Comfortable hotel with a nice pool and great design
- Ratna (9/5): Superb -
- Buntje (7/5): Good -
- Seema (7/5): Served its purpose for one night - Great location, within a few minutes walk to the Borobudur park Dated - although rooms are large, Air conditioning was poor. Also, sub-standard toiletries
- Richard (8/5): Very good - The location is excellent, very close to the Borobudur temple front gate. Made going to the temple in the first session of the day very easy It’s a little bit of an older hotel so think old world charm. But the staff were very friendly and the rooms were large and air conditioned, so all up a good mid-range hotel experience
- Masahiro (6/5): -
- Mark (10/5): Superb hotel just a short walk from incredible Borobudur. - Top quality hotel close to Borobudur. Great rooms, nice restaurant, & a gorgeous pool, all a 5 minute walk from the entrance to one of the world's most incredible sites. Nothing.
- France (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (10/5): - Great service, beautiful pool
- Jonathan (8/5): - The hotel is brilliantly located ten minutes walk from Borabadur temple grounds and in the middle of the town - easy walk to plenty of food options, local market and just a stroll around the back streets. The staff are fantastic and helpful (we had a 4:30am departure and they packed us a great breakfast). It’s a 3 star hotel and exactly what you’d expect. People note the Mosque nearby and the early morning call to prayer but if you want to stay in the town that is inevitable. Only criticism would be it’s time to invest in new towel sets (perfectly clean but old)
- Anand (10/5): Exceptional - It's so clean, old world charm. No complaints at all. The pool was well maintained and lovely. Nothing
- Ashley (8/5): Great location! - The location was awesome. The breakfast was very yummy too. A few power outages but the fellas backup generator kicked in quickly.
- Catherine (7/5): Good -
- Zuzana (10/5): Very good for visiting Borobudur Temple early in the morning. It is located next to it. - Location and vibe. Interiors. Limited menu but OK.
<その他>
- Martin (10/5): - The colonial ambiance, extraordinary helpful staff, and friendly atmosphere.
- Karen (9/5): Very convenient, great value, gorgeous hotel - Fabulous pool. Loved the beautiful reception area and the central courtyard with fountains in the middle of the rooms. Location couldn't be better, walking distance to Borobudur temple complex. Staff were a delight
- Msvickio (8/5): A good value for money and a comfortable stay - Loved the gardens, pool and grounds and the building. The staff was kind and helpful Our room had a dusty dirty floor...there was a lot of dust on all the handrails and staircases throughout the building
- Karen (10/5): Gorgeous rooms, garden and pool. Walking distance to Borobudur complex and local markets - Sarsvati Hotel is very close to the Borobudur complex and really gorgeous. We arrived by car and were a bit early, but the lovely gentleman in charge had our rooms ready and let us check in a bit early. The lobby and rooms are grand and beautifully decorated. The pool is fabulous and I loved the central courtyard aspect of the rooms. We had to make a very early start on our checkout day and the hotel kindly agreed to let us have breakfast at 6am, even though it normally starts at 7am. Honestly, I couldn't have asked for more.
- Lorenzo (8/5): Very good -
- Jingrui (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julian (7/5): Worked perfectly for us - A very good hotel and very convenient to Borobudur No dislikes
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional - Stunning heritage hotel

- Jennifer (9/5): Superb -
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional - Staff were so kind & helpful. The pool was great. Lovely hotel setting. Meals were delicious. 5 minute walk to Borobudur temple complex. Great value. What more could you want? All good
- Claire (10/5): Perfect stay on walking distance of borobodur - beautiful hotel, big rooms, lovely flowers, amazing staff breakfast not ready at requested time. no problem for us but could understand that this brings diffic. if you have to be at a specific time at borobodur (maybe also offer breakfast as of 6:30AM because of this)
- Anton (1/5): Bad - We could not find them. No one answered the phone since the evening. The just took money in they morning. No answer in application. No answer on phone. So we slept in the car
- Dewi (8/5): Very good - Our room is very spacious though the Layout is a bit weird.
It’s a small hotel of 18 rooms, very nicely maintain and very homey. Friendly staff too.
Super near to Borobudur temple Breakfast is ok, can be improved.
- Natasha (10/5): Perfect relaxing hotel for visitors to the Borobudur area - The rooms are extremely comfortable and spacious, the junior suites are exceptionally good value for money. Everything is spotless, the garden areas beautifully maintained, the pool is just glorious amidst frangipani and palm trees. Also we had lunch there, the food was freshly cooked and delicious, we highly recommend the Soto Ayam in particular. Lots of choice for breakfast . All the staff are so helpful and gentle, Bambang was a great help with our onward travel arrangements. This is perfectly located for exploring Borobudur ( only 5 minutes walk from main entrance) and the many areas of beauty in the vicinity .
We wish we’d stayed longer than 2 nights and highly recommend this lovely hotel which is really well run. Nothing
- Navanithya (10/5): Exceptional - I love the classic interior, room was huge and comfortable. Perfect location. 🥰
- Luce223 (6/5): Average stay - Beautiful heritage building. Helpful staff. Strategic location. Room is not very well lit, especially the bathroom. Fortunately the cleanliness and water pressure were good.
- Lim (8/5): Very convenient to visit Borobudur Enjoy the sate across the road - Excellent service. Best choice is Nasi Goreng Aircon in my room was noisy
- Gagarin (8/5): Very good -
- Si (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kusmiatun (8/5): Very good -
- Iris (6/5): Great location - Location is a few mins walk to Borobudur. Breakfast was decently good. Noisy - next to the main road. Lots of loud motorbikes in the area. Hotel a little dated.
- Walter (8/5): Very good -
- Adam L (8/5): - Like other places in Indonesia, and most of Asia, the staff were exceedingly kind. The building is an open-style throwback to the Dutch or brief English colonial era, with soaring ceilings (even in the guest suites), palm trees in the interior courtyard, etc. The few grumbles I have must absolutely be taken in the context of the fact that these people only a few months earlier opened after three years of having no tourists b/c of the pandemic. The ceiling fan in my bathroom was so loud I preferred having the extra humidity to the noise. But when I mentioned this to the staff the problem was fixed immediately. Also, poor drainage in the shower. There were a few other signs of wear and rear, but the room was clean, the air conditioning somewhat effective, and the place really nice. Extremely convenient to Candi Borobudur. The dining hall was nice. My deal included breakfasts, which were plenty. Some days they’d have a buffet, others you’d order the day before. Lunch and dinners were about 3 times the cost of the local “restaurants”—more like street stalls, really—but if you prefer not being interrupted by stray cats and minstrels, it’s worth the few extra dollars. Overall, 7/10.
- Najwa (8/5): Very good -
- Uki (10/5): Exceptional -
