- Susan (9/5): Great Location - This hotel's location was perfect with many shopping areas and food choices. The rooms were spacious. The kitchen area was excellent as was the bathroom. It was perfect for those with handicapping conditions or for older people. The sofa bed was a wonderful addition with only one bed in the room. The breakfast buffet was a bit disappointing. We didn't end up using it. The selection for those with dietary concerns was missing. It would have been more helpful to have it open everyday til 10.

- FamilyVacationer031 (10/5): Great Stay - We stayed at the Residence Inn - Polaris (Columbus) for one night as a family between Christmas and New Year's. The hotel was up-to-date and clean. The room was very nice with a mini-kitchen, sitting area, king bed and bathroom. The hotel had a very nice lobby with fireplace. In the morning, this is where the breakfast was and it was very good. There was also an outdoor firepit, which we saw many people enjoying. The staff were all very nice and helpful. Check-in was quick and prompt. The hotel is close to an endless array of good restaurants and shopping; including a large mall. The only downside to the stay was that the hallway smelled very strongly like fish or something else we couldn't identify; however, our room smelled fine. The pool was very nice, but cold. And we would have really enjoyed a not tub by the pool. All in all, it was a very nice stay and we would stay again.
- Ryan_Frisby (8/5): Almost Excellent - I selected this hotel for a simple reason, its excellent location for an overnight shopping trip in Columbus. The price was fair for the area, and the curb appeal was good. Inside, the common areas were clean, well kept, and nicely updated, with a competitive complimentary breakfast. As a final note, the service from every employee was excellent. The room is where my opinion of this property drops from excellent to just good. I had a one bedroom suite with ADA accessibility. (It was not what we requested but was open so no complaints.) The room was nicely decorated with nice furniture and a logical design. The dishes were clean, the sofa bed comfortable, and the regular bed average. The restroom was also well appointed. However, there were some cleanliness issues in my room. These include dust buildups in multiple places, something sticky on the desk chair, and weird orange residue in the tub. As a final negative, the blanket provided for the pull out sofa was rather raggedy. Overall, while this hotel could slightly improve itself, it's still a good option, with an excellent location, and great service.
- Sonja (9/5): Great price, Great location, great hospitality, great room....bad next day experience. - The room and everything was awesome. We asked to be put away from everyone because it was our wedding night and they did just that! We were so grateful. We found out the hard way that there were NO security cameras on the outside of the building. Our 2019 Chevrolet Silverado was broken into a long with about 10 other cars and trucks the night we stayed. It's a shame that they didn't invest in security cameras so we could recoupe the 580$ it was to fix the window. They should definitely invest in outdoor security cameras so their customers feel safe. We liked our stay so much that we were thinking about making a new tradition to stay there on our anniversary every year, but we will not if they don't install outdoor cameras.

- sarah (6/5): Great location but plan on breakfast somewhere else. - The location was perfect!! Stuck in a terrible snow storm but had every thing nearby. The breakfast area was closed in and very small. Ran out of food quickly and wasn’t in a hurry to refill anything. People standing around in the tight area waiting for food. Workers kept cleaning the counter instead of getting the hot food out. Would rather not have spent that much money expecting breakfast. Our room smelled like marijuna every 30min. Coming from nearby rooms.

We are Courtyard members so we chose here out of all the other hotels that came up nearby. When we checked in, we were so glad we chose this hotel!! It was an amazing hotel experience! The rooms were perfectly clean, tidy, and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and was also clean and tidy! This is seriously one of the best hotels we have stayed at in years! It was just perfect!

There were a couple of busses with high school athletes there and didn't hear them. Breakfast was ok but not a big breakfast person. I wish we were able to sit in courtyard but it was raining.
- soulp882 (10/5): Great hotel, even greater staff! - Residence Inn, Columbus, OH (Polaris) is by far one of the BEST hotels that we have stayed at so far! Whenever I travel to Columbus, Ohio, I almost always stay at the Residence Inn on Polaris Parkway—about 90% of the time! The staff is truly exceptional, and Chrissy, in particular, has consistently gone above and beyond. She’s always helpful, attentive, and available to assist with anything my family and I may need during our stay. Chrissy’s commitment to outstanding service ensures every visit is comfortable and memorable, and it shows! She’s mindful of our long drive from out of state, and always makes an effort to accommodate our early check-in requests, which we truly appreciate. We’ve never had a single issue, and I can’t say enough great things about the entire team. Thank you, Residence Inn Columbus (Polaris), for always providing such a positive experience—we’ll definitely be back again soon!
- Keith (2/5): - I arrive at 11:00pm to find out that the Air Conditioning is out for the entire hotel. Never got a call or email even though I am Lifetime Gold Elite and they have my contact details in my profile. Travelocity is ZERO HELP - it takes five phone calls before they agree to book me into another hotel for the second night of my stay. I wind up spending the night in an 83 degree room and Travelocity has the nerve to try and charge me for that night. I get up the next morning to find both elevators are broken. This hotel is poorly maintained and poorly managed. And I will never use Travelocity again due to their poor customer service. So tired of being transferred to a call center in India and hearing kids screaming in the background.
- nancybT1898PC (2/5): Never subject yourself to this hotel!!!! - Worst experience of our hotel life! When we arrived they made no effort to accommodate the early check in. The elevator was broken if you wanted to go down. So carried luggage down the stairs when fleeing. We are both close to 70 years old. We requested one extra pillow three times in 2 days and were consistently ignored or told they had none available. The bed was low to the ground and the mattress was like something you find for free on the roadside after several storms.We requested housekeeping and never received it. Then the air conditioning failed throughout the entire hotel (except the lobby -how wonderful for the staff). We returned back to the hotel after the fireworks at 11:00 PM and it was 80 degrees in the room and were told no hope for repair. No hope to book something that late either. The next day as the lobby flooded with patrons checking out, we were reimbursed one night and regardless of purchasing another hotel for more money- because it was a Saturday, they would only give us points that amounted to about less than 10$ - never mind the uber to get there. Went to another Marriott at OSU and it was amazing! Great bed, wonderful atmosphere, clean and accommodating. Avoid residence Inn Columbus Polaris!!!

You guys are the best! - As I am a traveler and performer for over 40 years, it is wonderful to have the personal touch and someone go the extra mile in this day and age of craziness. Thank you to Larry and Lakisha as they went above and beyond to help me with my stay. One of the nicest rooms and nicest people that I've ever got the pleasure of being around, my business meeting was a success from a well-night's sleep and a great experience. I highly recommend everyone here at the facility. It was the very best.

- 844maxxh (6/5): No respect - Stayed here for a week and key card stopped working so I went in to get a new card. Walked thru the front doors and there was a man at the desk. We made eye contact but he did not say anything but there was a white lady at the counter so I waited behind her. 10 minutes goes by and a white man walks in and he immediately greeted him “hello sir I will be right with you” I did not think nothing of it at that point maybe he was busy when I walked in. So he was done with the lady and he turn to the white man and ask “how can I help you sir? The white man said “i believe that gentleman is before me” point my way. The black man behind the counter then turns to me and acknowledged that I was there. I did not say anything but in my head I wanted to say maybe it’s my skin tone that he did not think I could afford a room there. Residence inn your employees should have better training or your policies of treating people equally regardless of their skin tone should be better…

Now the bad, The guest check in people said that I can have Have a millitary discount as Im a veteran. They even said that my rate was high. Then when checking out, a new guest checkout person said that they could not do anything about the discount. That the managers looked into it but could not give it to me. A bunch of garbage. Why say you would, then do noting?? I guess it was a inconvenieence to even try.

Front desk was no help, offered no assistance I guess, so there is no way they would be perceived as having any liability. We have been to this area the last 9 years and will never be back!!!!!!!!!!

We needed a place to stay while visiting our families and this was the perfect spot. The staff was kind and courteous. We have a toddler and loved that there was a separate bedroom so she could go to bed and we could still be up and not bother her. Also loved that there was breakfast available in the morning and that it was actually good ;) I would highly recommend staying here!

Rooms were comfortable and quiet. Derek at check in was great and very helpful Free breakfast in the morning and free parking. Lots of great places to walk around.

- LaBeryl (4/5): Unauthorized credit card charges - My main concern is that someone within the hotel, possibly an employee, made an attempt during our stay last night (for $40) and again at 3 am today (for $10) to make charges to my credit card. We only stayed one night and the location was good for mall shopping. We had only two complaints: The concern of attempting to charge my credit card twice and breakfast was well below what we had anticipated. The room was fine for a night but I can't say I would recommend it to family or friends due to concerns of the beach of my trust via my credit card. This also raises concerns about my upcoming & future plans to stay with the Marriott brand.
