• Amanda (6/5): - Our stay had its good and had its bad. While we loved the location, pool and how comfortable the beds were we were very disappointed in the over all condition of our room. The walls are filthy, the floors were no different. The furniture in our room (room 8) was VERY weathered. The tv didn’t work. The upkeep on this place isn’t great. When adjusting the temp on the a/c the vent was COVERED in mold. Other rooms did seem to be in better condition but room 8 is in dire need of TLC.

• Sara (4/5): - So I was waiting for my son. A worker came told me I couldn't stand there then. Looked at my car, which was in a parking space, told me to move it into a space that I know it wouldn't fit. And then the other space she wanted meeting, put my car, I'd have to run over the curb. She gave me such a hard time and to top it off. You can't miss that I have one leg. So I have to have the door open to get in little difficult. I had my bathing suit on. So obviously she could see it so rude!
• Mary (2/5): - I never write reviews but I can’t avoid doing it for this property so that it helps even just one person from booking to stay there and losing money on a place as awful as this. The check in person was not friendly or helpful. We are grandparents traveling with a four year old, and were weary from a day at the boardwalk. The room was dank, smelled musty, and was dark. The only window was under a low overhang. There were two beds- one very hard, and the other so caved in that two people could not sleep in it without sliding into the middle. The bath towels were so old and frayed they were actually gray instead of white. The TV reception from their wifi was so poor that it studdered constantly. We tried to get the person out front to offer assistance, but she said the reception wasn’t good because of a storm, which was not true. There was no storm- just riptides and 20 mph winds. How does that affect the WiFi? We decided that it was too awful to stay there after all this, so we found another place for our trip. We were only in the room for less than an hour, so although I expected to lose the first night’s cost, I did expect a refund for the balance of the trip since we were not staying, but I emailed them like I was told to do, and received no reply and no refund . Please do yourself a favor and do not stay here. Is was really awful- especially for over $200 a night.
• Barbara (6/5): - The towels were small and scratchy. Pillows were flat and cheap. Internet was weak or nonexistent. TV in the one room never did work right. Air conditioners in both rooms were loud. Had to turn one off on the second night because it was so loud. Positive about it was Staff did there best to accommodate when they could. They were helpful and friendly. Rate it 2 1/2 stars.
• Shara (2/5): - The amenities were horrible. We were gives 2 towels for a 5 person reservation. The beach access was expensive and had no access to other things. We could not park after checkout and the front desk was not helpful.

• Sean Salins (6/5): Motel overall review - Overall the stay was fine for my wife and myself for one night. It’s actually a motel. The location is good and close to the beach at various access points. The room was comfortable, beds are good, A/C is good, there’s a TV, microwave and refrigerator. That’s good for a motel. The bathroom is expectedly small, being a motel, so that’s ok, but it could use a bit of upgrade and more lighting for sure. I think the whole motel including the outside appearance needs an uplift. The people/family running the hotel were very friendly and kind and welcoming.

• Debra (2/5): RUN…… DONT book this hotel - The room was disgusting. Dead bugs on the ceiling in several places. The beds had 1 sheet and a thin blanket. The air conditioner was full of mold. Overall the room was gross and wayyyyyyy over priced. We had to listen to the people in the next room all night. We left after one night and checked out as we could not bear to stay another night.

• kelly (2/5): - The one bed hadn’t been changed. There was someone else’s hair and an old blood stain on the sheet. It was found when we went to go to bed like 10pm. They gave us new sheets and just said sorry. When we asked what they we’re going to do about it, the manager said nothing we said sorry. The second night kids were running on top of us til 1am and we’re back at it at 6am. Nothing done about that either.

• Eranjala (6/5): - Basic motel. No dining facilities and very few dining options around the area. The public beach is right in front of the property. But in order to be in a safe zone to swim, you should go to the boardwalk area - 15 mins walk.

• Justin (6/5): - Last minute decision to take a trip and stay for the weekend - I was happy there was a room available. The pictures on the website are very deceiving, quite honestly I thought it was closed down upon driving up. The location itself is quiet, being a couple blocks away from the boardwalk and the Lake of Lillies was right behind it. They do offer off-street parking. The room was VERY dated. Beds, also dated, were not comfortable and very old. The pillows are worn out and only an inch thick...not great for sleep, wish I brought my own. TV channel couldnt be changed with the remote from the bed, had to stand within 3' of the TV to change the channel. Room didnt have a closet to hang anything. Also did not have a coffee maker in the room or a hair dryer. Air Condition kept the room very cool. Overall, wouldn't book there if the trip was planned and wouldnt stay there again.

• Marie (4/5): Needs TLC - Had a for sale sign. Check in was awkward. Very run down motel, but rooms and pool were clean. Very few comforts (no chairs on balcony in front of rooms, no tables at the pool next to or near chairs, no towels at pool, not enough towels in room. They did have a coffee pot at the check-in room in the morning, but not in room. Microwave and fridge in room were clean. Window AC was loud, but i prefer white noise. The AC on high did keep room comfortable. 2 minute walk to beach entrance was nice. But 20 minute walk to boardwalk...if you walk fast. Beach fee was 15 per person per day in that area.

We had no control over the ancient window AC unit (we could barely reach it and the buttons were worn down). We also heard a dog barking loudly from very nearby in the motel. The beds were adequately comfortable. There was a for sale sign posted when we checked in which might explain the untended to appearance of the place. I wish I had read the reviews before booking.

• Jacqueline (4/5): - Not everything is at it appears to be. If you think staying at the Dunes across from the beach is ideal, think again. The beach is there, but it's a private/gated one for the homes that face that beach. In other words, you still need to get into your car and drive to the beach & pay to park. The rooms were dirty, including the shower which had mold on the grout. Small AC in the room which took a while for it to cool down. With all the hotels in the area, this is one you should overlook. Oh, and it's for sale, so likely they aren't keeping up with appearances, which we clearly witnessed during our stay.

• Verified traveler (6/5): - Honestly wasn’t too happy with our stay here. The room had a strong sewer smell coming out of the bathroom that even opening the window for a while couldn’t get rid of. It was so bad we avoided the bathroom at all costs and sprayed cologne in the room to help mask it.

• BRENDA (6/5): - It was not true the information on their website had to walk 15 blocks boardwalk and the beach wad 6 blocks away. It was ok but not updated fair .

However, if you got a room on the second floor, the bathroom was not updated and the shower was old and it looked as if there was mildew on the grout of the tiles. There was also very limited space to store things. There were no closets and just a few hooks in the room. Room was otherwise clean but the condition of the shower was hard to overlook.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Don’t recommend- sorry- old and not clean enough - Check-in was fine. Nice gentleman at the front desk. Hotel outside and anywhere you walked inside (to get to your room) was not cleaned up (at all, it seemed) pool was cloudy and not skimmed. We didn’t swim at all. Room was tiny but as clean as an older room could be. Warped bathroom door. We won’t be returning and I wouldn’t recommend if traveling with kids. Just isn’t clean or nice enough. Location is many blocks away from the boardwalk also.

• Mary (10/5): - This hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, but the rooms are clean and quiet. It's an easy walk to the beach. Staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in the one bedroom apartment which was plenty roomy for the 3 of us.
• Casey (8/5): - It worked for what we were looking for. A shore motel that was close to the beach and had a pool. The rooms were a little bit smaller than we would’ve liked but the staff was nice and friendly and attentive and the place was clean. The only thing we would suggest is maybe bringing a broom and small mop/swifter with you because the floors get sandy and soaked, no matter what you do.
