Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beatiful grounds and house - We stayed in one of their 2 Viken lodges. It was huge and easily big enough to accommodate all of us with loads of space for kids to run about and explore. Floor to ceiling Windows and and a gabled roof gave stunning views down the valley to the estuary from both floors. The accommodation was modern and stylish and even had its own sauna. The onsite pool was free to use and warm and clean, a good size. Slight hiccup at check in was sorted out well and we were allowed to stay an extra night in compensation. Happy customer - will definitely return.
- Sarah (10/5): Fantastic for a relaxed family holiday - Very much enjoyed our stay at Brockwood Hall, we had a 3 bed lodge (Coniston) which was newly renovated to a high standard. We had a young baby with us and the lodge was very baby friendly. The staff were extremely accommodating, nothing was to much trouble. On check in they asked if we required a travel cot or high chair, we brought a travel cot with us but not a high chair and one was delivered to our lodge before we had even checked in. The site was lovely and very quiet. The peacocks were lovely to see walking around. Unfortunately we didn't get to use the pool but it looked very nice. We would definitely like to stay again in the future.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The cabins were a little damp and the showers not great - but clean accommodation -
- Christina (8/5): Great choice for a group! - Loved it - cottage was great. Perfect for a group of friends looking for a quiet couple of days together.
- sharon (10/5): Wonderful place to stay - A really beautiful place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. My children loved it to.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Relaxing! - Really nice area for a quiet and relaxing few days. A bit far from Windermere though.
- DAVID (10/5): great place - had a lovely stay very comftey everything we needed
- Muhammad Jawad (10/5): 5/5! - Everything was amazing, and met our expectations. The hotel service was excellent, really helpful staff members.. The cabin itself was very clean.. Overall we were really happy with the visit and will definitely recommend it to friends and family.
- Awais (8/5): Nice and comfortable lodging - We spent two nights at a 3 bedroom lodge in Brockwood Hall. The lodge itself was really nice, well equipped and comfortable. Chilly on arrival, the electric heating soon kicked in though we had to use a pre-paid meter card for this. Unfortunately, apart from a heated indoor pool and rental bikes, there isn't much to do in the area for children - no activities as it is in the middle of wilderness. So if you want to keep children busy then the options nearby are limited. Pleasant environment though.
- GARY (10/5): Very comfortable and great restaurant - Stayed here in a 3 bed lodge for the weekend with 4 adults and 2 children. The lodge itself was nice and had everything we needed. Wifi was available which was a bonus. We ate in the restaurant on the Sunday and food was fantastic and very good value. Overall very happy with the stay.
- Betsy (6/5): Okay for mini break - I would say this place has potential. The wood lodges are basic but clean. Some of the carpets were quite stained and electric heaters look like they have had better days. I know some of the cabins have been refurbished probably not ours. The kitchen / dining area quite well equipped. Lounge area two leather sofas with laminate floor just very basic rather than homely. Pool out of action when we were there.
- Ian (10/5): Lake District Retreat - Lovely setting. Chalet very well appointed and immaculately clean.
Had a very pleasant two night stay and would definitely stay again.
- Greg (10/5): Great find with amazing view - Great getaway for a weekend with our 3 kids. The lodge was much bigger and better than I was expecting with great views out to the countryside and towards the sea. We really enjoyed having the pool to ourselves and exploring the surrounding sights. We used the room service once which was pretty good and one morning we had breakfast in the main building which was good too. For the money it certainly delivers and beat my expectations
