- Margaret (8/5): - Lovely location overlooking the town on a surprisingly busy corner. Parking is secure and breakfast is good. Slightly noisy room at the front of the building and there was no food available apart from breakfast. TV was barely adequate.
- Wayne (8/5): - Old and dated but was a good experience, bed wasn’t the most comfortable but location and breakfast made up for it

- Randall (4/5): Disappointing and expensive for what it is.... - Good location and although the car park was small at least we could park our car. Decent breakfast. Clean room. The lady who checked us in and who served breakfast was friendly (although clearly overworked). This is a pub with rooms, not a hotel. We spent the week walking along the coast path staying at different accommodation each night. This was the most expensive and yet at the bottom of our 'league table'. The pub is in dire need of renovation. There were 2 sets of stairs to our room; the carpets were grubby and the whole entrance is in need of redecoration. The stairs are steep and narrow, tricky to get a suitcase up. The room itself was passable (and clean), just outdated. The shower room needs updating. WiFi didn't work at all. Our room faced the road and the curtains were very thin so we were kept awake by the light from the streetlight opposite, as well as by the very wobbly bed! Being totally honest, I couldn't wait to get out of there as I felt uncomfortable. Sorry. I am sure with some investment this could be a great place to stay but I certainly wouldn't recommend it or stay there again.
- Linda (7/5): It served the purpose we needed - Good location
Beautiful breakfast Didn’t serve dinner
Steep stairs
- Joanna (8/5): We had a lovely relaxing stay - Very welcoming when we arrived. Small room but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. Ideal location. Good value. The only thing I forgot to mention when I handed the keys back, was the kettle did not switch off. Also it was too big to fill up at the sink. Maybe need to upgrade.
- Simon (5/5): Nice break - The breakfast was very good bar area was good Rooms need updating especially the bathroom no double glazing so could hear the traffic and people talking outside alot of stairs also needs new carpet and painting
- IJE (9/5): Lovely small hotel with cosy pub. - Perfect location, VERY good Cornish breakfast, staff were very helpful and kind. It has a lot of thoughtful touches, Cornish tea, etc. The pub is lovely, too. It really felt like a safe haven. -
- Mike Whalley (8/5): Review - Just very convient situated for my purpose Floors a bit uneven, but not complaining. Character of an old buildinh

- John (10/5): Very enjoyable short stay(4 days) - Breakfast was excellent, great choice of food on the menu as well as a choice of cereals. Our room was very good with an excellent view of the town and harbour, comfortable bed and all the facilities you require. Staff were very friendly and helpful,a lovely community hotel/pub. We didn't get to stay long enough.

- colin (10/5): Great one night stay - Great location, great value for money… and one of the best breakfasts I have had for some time….outstanding…. Apologies for being late down but thank you for being so accommodating made the wife’s day 10/10 trip. Room needs updating but we understand finances in this business…. if you could you would …. but it was very clean and comfortable.
- Caroline (6/5): - No wifi in room; TV wouldn't work; breakfast not available until 08.30am.
- Joanna (8/5): Wonderful and warm customer service, super views across the estuary, and great walks nearby - Clearly a pub for locals as well as outsiders which makes it feel incredibly welcoming. Their staff were super friendly and helpful. I've already recommended it to others as a great overall experience. it seemed that when you shower, there may be someone also showering in other rooms and the water went from cold to scorching hot.
- Sally (9/5): - Very good
- Christine (8/5): Friendly, good value for money, excellent breakfast - The breakfast was excellent and the view exceptional.Local's pub with a friendly atmosphere and all necessary facilities for an enjoyable stay. All OK - not luxurious but very adequate
- Sam (7/5): - We only stayed one night, and didn't stay for breakfast as we were off super early! Still it was a comfy room in a good location with some lovely staff at a good price. Would have no problem returning!
- Hilary (6/5): Adequate for our one night stay. - Good location to explore Fowey from but a steep climb back up. Staff were very friendly. Good breakfast. Room was small but clean, bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water when showering. Parking available but very limited. General areas need some TLC and updating.
- Malvin (6/5): - The room had a good view and was comfortable. It was a good location. Breakfast was good. The TV was not working on arrival and the internet was poor and not able to access for majority of the stay. The stairs up to the room are incredibly narrow and steep and the hallway is dingy with a frayed carpet. It really needs updating. The bathroom was a poor standard.
- jim (5/5): - Good view and location.

Good value. Dirty carpet.
External light outside window shown through the thin curtains.
