- Belinda (8/5): Very good - Friendliness, gluten free catering (Chinese evening meal)
- Dean (8/5): Wonderful service, with good food and rooms. - This is a restaurant with rooms, but don’t be out of by that. It’s great. Restaurant not open to public on a Monday, yet the chef will cook for guests. Full menu available and excellent food. Great choice of breakfast and freshly prepared. Tricky parking, but that’s the only grey area. If you want a big fancy hotel, then may not be for you, but I’ll be staying again. Wonderful service from owners.
- David (10/5): Outstanding and a big pleasant surprise. - Breakfasts and all cooking absolutely outstanding. Tuesday evenings had Malaysian food which we weren't expecting, but it was excellent and clearly very popular with local recidents. Everyone very friendly and keen to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. Would recommend to any potential visitors. Nothing

Lunch and dinner of a very high standard, traditional with a modern and/or Asian twist. Reasonably priced.
Nothing was too much trouble and I was made to feel part of the family. Karine, Shin and Ron are kind people who do a lot for their regular customers, particularly older ones, and for the community as a whole. Nothing.

There was nothing at all we could have any issues with.
- Olivia (9/5): Lovely place with professional owner - Very good restaurant with a great team. The room is comfortable although bit small. Was good enough for a one night stay. Breakfast is very good too, all cooked fresh. We would definitely stay here again if and when we return to Chard. We would highly recommend this hotel and would love to try the restaurant next time. A family member has just moved to Chard and will be recommending this hotel, too. Thank you for a lovely stay. There was nothing that we didn't like. Everything was above our expectations.
- Jean (10/5): Excellent choice - Very pleasant stay, excellent breakfast. And very friendly service.
- Pamela (10/5): Absolute gem - What an absolute gem of a property. Right in the town centre!!
Staff were a total delight and really helpful and friendly - especially when we mentioned we might be moving to the area.
Restaurant served the most amazing food. We would definitely stay here again The only comment I could make in this area is that the bed was a bit creaky and parking slightly confusing. Only 2 spots which were hard to find, even with directions (maybe a sign to confirm where you can part as a patron of the hotel). Did not spoil our stay however.
- Felicia (9/5): Excellent food and great hosts - Loved the food, both dinner and breakfast were totally excellent. We really enjoyed the Asian/Malaysian-inspired offerings (like beef rendang) and thought they were deliciously authentic. The owners and staff were wonderful. We also liked the hotel’s cosy decor, attractive furnishings and the overall pleasant feel inside the building. The aircon was terrribly weak for a warm summer day, we could barely get cool air out of it. This meant that we had to open the windows at night which created street noise inside the room. The town itself (Chard) had definitely seen better days; some of the surrounding streets were pretty run-down.
- Cornishbint (10/5): Another fabulous stay at The Bath House - Yet again, a superb stay at the Bath House.
Shin is just lovely and very attentive to customer needs
Ron is a fabulous chef and he and his wife have worked hard to develop a fabulous business; hotel and restaurant
Thanks to all the team
- james (10/5): Love the Bath House. - Always lovely to stay at The Bath House. Beautifully clean especially the bathroom.
Breakfast is cooked to order at a time of your choosing and is lovely.
Dinner in the restaurant is super too.
Would recommend and will stay ag.
- Enright (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable, squeaky clean, well appointed, well looked after, lovely staff. Morning coffee was scalding hot and not good
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Julian (3/5): Dreadful due mainly to being next to a large Sainsbury's and the worst town I've visited in the UK. - Dont get me wrong, the staff were very friendly here but that is the end of the good news. We arrived and the bar area had outdoor furniture stacked inside the bar area at the front. It wasn't a very nice introduction. Furthermore, I just dont understand how all those people left a 9 or 10 score review - The location of the hotel is right next to the most Ugly Sainsbury;s and Chard is in the list of the worst towns in the UK, which we hadnt realised until we got there. Chard is an absolute dump I'm afraid. The room as very clean but zero aspect and felt like a basement. Furthermore, it was the smallest double bed I have ever experienced (it may have been a standard double but who has standard doubles any more?). We arent large people but I ended up sleeping on the SofaBed (which I have to say was very comfortable but thats not the point). The advertising material talks of a great restaurant but this wasnt even open. A grim experience. The location, the bed, the lack of facilities (isnt a 4 star property supposed to have a gym, 24 hour service etc?)
- Lazaros (2/5): Very poor - Nothing Tiny rooms, poor breakfast
- Martin (10/5): - We loved the room staff were amazing and friendly nothing was too much trouble. The food was also very good. The breakfast was cooked to order.
