- todd (6/5): - You get what you pay for. The Road Lodge Cape Town is a very okay place. The price was right but for that reasonable price you get a tiny and somewhat loud room. The staff were not all that knowledgeable or helpful in terms of getting around Cape Town. Location so close to airport is a big plus. Communication with the property prior to staying there was poor

- Erin (4/5): - This place is good because of it's close location to the airport, but I don't recommend it! It was very noisy and we were unable to get more than a few hours of sleep. We could hear people walking past our doors all hours of the night and luggage being moved also. It was incredibly loud and noisy.
- Anthony M (10/5): Very average - Older hotel that needs to be updated. Rooms are very small for 2 people with luggage. Bed is comfy (and small for 2). Shower has good pressure and lots of hot water (but very small). Staff are very helpful and friendly. No refrigerator in room but lots of ice available at the reception/breakfast area. Did not eat here so can’t comment. Within walking distance of the airport (via a subway shortcut). Shuttle is an extra charge (read the fine print).
- Evan (2/5): - I never actually stayed at the hotel. I booked a nights stay but accidentally booked for today's date and not the actual date I wanted in the future. I then couldn't amend the booking as it had passed the check in time. I tried calling the hotel but they said they couldn't help me, Expedia tried to help but was told by the hotel there they don't give redunds. I know it's my mistake but common sense should prevail. I paid money for something I never received.

- Morissa (2/5): Decent for a spot to sleep after a late night - Comfortable bed. Nice breakfast options. Good staff. Comfortable beds. The downside is no elevator, the sheets looked like they had not been changed, and the rooms are barely large enough to bring your bags inside. That being said, it is incredibly convenient if you get in on a late flight and need to pick up a rental car in the morning.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Highly recommend - Loved the convenient location of this Lodge. Staff are AMAZING. Of course there's always ONE young lady who has to disappoint, at the front desk! That 'attitude!' Wish I'd looked a bit closer at her name tag. Restaurant is so nice, staff are incredible there!. Food is good. Breakfast especially nice! Rooms are not very big, but the linens are FRESH and the beds SO comfortable. I would highly recommend should you be coming off a LONG international flight and need to rest.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient and functional for transit - Convenient for overnight stay near airport for early flight, friendly staff. But getting to airport was a problem - tunnel looked unsafe in the dark and gates only open at 5am, we ended up calling an Uber.

The front desk gave me the name of a company that would charge $150 USD, for a 5 minute ride to the airport. I chose Uber instead. The rooms were small, but clean and adequate. There was no elevator, even though there were 3 floors!

The breakfast was great and there was very little noise (for an airport hotel this is quite impressive!) it's small but comfortable and clean. The free, secure parking was also really helpful. - SCOTT (8/5): - We needed to spend one night in Cape town before our early morning flight. This was a good spot right beside the airport. We didn’t find it loud. We also had to return a rental car and it was a great spot for that. Rental company got one of their guys to drive me back for free since it was so close. We booked the basic room and it was a bit tight. Smaller than average for hotel rooms but for two of us and one night, it was good enough. Security controls the property so we felt quite safe

There is no elevator though, so you have to be able to climb stairs. But someone will help take your luggage to your room. Overall it’s a pleasant stay with nice creature comforts.

- paul (8/5): - This location is a solid basic hotel. Very close to the airport, which is a plus. Do note, that there is horrendous traffic at rush hours from the airport into Cape Town, so this might not be where you want to be if you plan to join tours in town starting in the morning. It felt safe here, and the food options in house were better and less expensive than expected. Noise travels through the doors here easily so it was pretty loud at night.

Staff however had limited English which is poor at an International Airport and with English being a dominant language in South Africa. This resulted in incorrect communication being given and difficult meal ordering. No free shuttle to airport..you pay a private company. This wasn't explained on website.
- Ashley (10/5): My overnight at Road Lodge CT Airport. - Due to last minute flight changes I needed to stay over in CT. I had to make a late booking which went very smoothly. Well-received by friendly staff and good food in restaurant at very reasonable prices. Room more than adequate for an overnight stay.

- John (2/5): - We had settled in our room when someone just entered. The front desk had issued them with key access to our room. All the manager could do was apologise. We went out for an hour and we found ourselves locked out of our room on return. I demanded a full refund from the Manager who claimed she couldn’t do anything as I’d booked through Expedia. Well that’s the last time I’ll use either again.

- Nigel (8/5): Ok but no lift - It was fine for an early flight location the next day..... but there is no lift in the Hotel so you need to either get help with your big suitcases or do it yourself if not on ground floor
- Annette (8/5): - The hotel is opposite the airport and therefore very practical if you arrive late or have a super early flight. Though the rooms are very small, they are clean and enough for a one night stay. The staff were so friendly to hand us a baby cot for our little one even though it could not be added as option on the Expedia website.
