- Matthew (10/5): - The entire property was fantastic. The staff were super helpful and accommodating. The unit we were given was perfect, lots of space for 4 people and the full kitchen was well used. Having the pools onsite and spread around the property was a great touch and all other owners/guests that we met were very helpful and friendly!
- Ryan (10/5): - Beautiful property and area of Costa Rica. Check in process was slow and we had to wait over 2 hours for our room to be ready despite them being aware we were coming early. There was supposed to be transportation to our room but it wasn't available so we had to walk. BE WARNED the property has huge hills, climbs, and stairs. It is not for people who are out of shape or have mobility issues. Thankfully my kids and I are very fit. It's a 15 minute walk to town and 10 to the nearest beach access. Of course they want to rent you a golf cart for the week at $50USD per day. The town (Coco) has lots of food and shopping options. Lots of peddlers selling their goods. You have to be ok with saying no thank you. Food and drinks are not particularly cheap, but the food was excellent everywhere. We never had a bad meal. The property was very clean, yes there are lizards, to be expected. Very roomy. Shower water pressure could have been better. All in all we had a great stay and I would recommend it to friends for sure. Pura Vida!

- Michael (8/5): - to be honest the keys barely work and it's just a little bit rough with the parking. you have to use a key and then there's like a gate and then with the door it's very rough. but honestly it's amazing service. the girl in the leasing office is awesome and I do think it's a great place. there's only one pool though. they say there's six but you have to walk to different places so be careful with that. it's a little tough to get to and stuff but it is a nice place overall
- KARLA (4/5): - This has the potential to be very nice. However, the check-in is a nightmare. Mind you, there are no addresses on buildings nor are there any streets labeled. Checking in here and finding this hotel was an absolute nightmare. The company needs to really update and say where they are located. FYI: They need to check in at Pueblito Sur which is a commercial shopping center . The stay its self was nice. 3/5.
- Gricelis A (8/5): - Centrally located property. The beach is three blocks away. The staff are friendly and helpful. They texted us immediately after our arrival for help us locate the property. There’s security at the gate. It was quiet and peaceful. My only issue was not having running water for 30 mins.

- Steve (10/5): - It's a great place to spend some time there. Consider 6 swimming pools for a small complex, located in the Las Palmas area a Playa Del Coco. Our unit was on the third floor, with a beautiful view.
- Evgeniy (6/5): - I cannot rate "cleanliness", because cleaning is my responsibility. Otherwise: - I have no basis for comparison and guess you get what you paid for in the expensive Costa Rica. The suite we stayed in was not very comfortable, mostly due to the lack of space. Everything is small - from the kitchen through the sofa to the bed. I paid for my kid close to the price for adult, but there was no provision for him whatsoever. - The confusion starts with the arrival, since the property is called "Coco Sunset Hills" and this is what the sign at the gate says. Tropical Gardens Avenue is a couple of blocks to the north and even the local drivers are confused and don't know where to go. - The remoteness of the reception to the property also does not contribute to the comfort. - The TV is mounted close to the ceiling and uncomfortable to watch - Communication - they would definitely not go the extra mile, but I would not rate it even as "good" - all my requests for little favours were politely declined, i.e. "I will see" or "Yes, we can do this tomorrow" and then nothing happens. Except one extra roll of toilet paper, which we did not even use. - On the plus side, the pools are excellent. The area is also good with a few restaurants; the beach is within walking distance; Coco "downtown" is also not far away.
- Michael (8/5): Bon appartement avec piscine partagée à la réside - Pour récupérer les clés RDV dans une agence située à l’étage d’une zone commerciale plein air, à 2 mn en voiture de l’appartement. Contactez-les sur le site ou whatsapp pour avoir la localisation. Plusieurs immeubles dont certains avec des appartements en location touristique. Piscine partagée sympa, avec transats. Place de parking privée en contre-bas des immeubles, protégé par un portail électrique et gardien (donc quelques marches ou pente pour accéder au logement). Notre chambre était au 3e étage sans ascenseur. Jolie vue, climatisation, cuisine équipée, frigo, wifi dans la chambre, serviette de douche + produits fournis. Terrasse sur le toit pour cette chambre. Bien et propre. A à peine 5 mn du centre-ville en voiture. Quelques personnes alcoolisées/droguées demandent de payer la place de parking, ne pas hésite à se garer un peu plus loin. Restaurant Soda Teresita sympa et bon.

- Mariano (10/5): - They were really kind to reschedule our visit several times due to Covid. Everything was clean and they follow up the health requirements. The condo was really nice, we were in a second floor and we watched the sunset from our bedroom, really amazing and romantic. The staff was great and friendly. It's really close to the center and 2 blocks away from the beach. It had several swimming pools and all very clean. Highly recommended.

- Afton (8/5): Great stay - Very nice property. Great security as it is a gated community with 24 hour security guard. Great pools. WiFi only works in the pool area. Great air con. Location just a short walk from the main tourist area and beach. Check I process can be confusing as the reception is located a block away from the property, just make sure to read the email carefully and you shouldn’t have any issues.

- Grace (6/5): Nice but out of town. - The apartment and complex were great, and has everything you need for a stay should you want to stay around the complex or have a car to travel around. However for us the property was located too far from the main amenities of the town. Although we’d looked into this before booking there really isn’t much in the immediate surroundings and found ourselves walking back / forth into the town - approx 20 / 30 minutes each way. The walk all along the beach is nice in the day but the main road is needed at night. The complex community is primarily older American ex-pats. The staff were very friendly and helpful when we arrived as there was an issue with our booking through hotels.com not confirming our reservation however they were quick to remedy this.

(2/5): Never again - Awfully rude attitude of security guards when we asked them show us where the apartment was located, inconvenient parking location too far away from the room, apartment first floor smelled like dead fish, I had to kill two huge roaches as soon as I went in the kitchen, ridiculously small second bathroom, air conditioners in really really poor shape. Overall terrible experience. This place never again.

- Hilda (10/5): Vistas hermosas - Es la segunda vez que me hospedo ahí y la verdad cada vez me gusta más , el personal es muy amable las habitaciones limpias y con excelente ubicación en un alto donde puedes ver el mar , me siento muy segura ahí el lugar es silencioso y por estar cerrado y con vigilancia no existe peligro para los vehículos volvería otra vez !!
- John (6/5): - The place was decent. The pool area was the best feature. Other than that there were no amenities. I did not realize it but this was an apartment that was hosted by the listing company. It was off site from the company office, so finding it at night was tricky. I definitely recommend arriving before it gets dark. Everything from laundry to toilet paper came with extra fees. All in all though it was a fair value for what we paid.

- Jim (8/5): Tropical Gardens Suites & Apartments - Notice the name of the place. It is not a hotel, although it can be used for that. It does not have Wifi in the rooms nor does it have daily maid service, nor a 24 hour "desk", but instead a management office open weekdays several blocks away. What it does have is several rooms in each unit including a kitchen loaded with appliances, silverware, big fridge, big stove, dining table with chairs, parking, etc. These are housekeeping units in a large, aging building with great views of the ocean and good beds. The management staff is enthusiastic and helpful. If a housekeeping unit is what you are looking for, it provides good value for the price. The ocean is three very short blocks away with little traffic...be sure to ask the fasted way to the beach.

- Catalina (6/5): Nice option - Its not a hotel, these are condo for rent. Two bedroom and a kitchenette. Peaceful and the pool was nice (although was too hot). Too expensive, but the area doesnt have much to choose. There's no daily housekeeping and the parking isn't near, so prepare to walk the hills. Overall Is a nice option if you stay several days.
- Kattia Fernande (6/5): Fue de inicio amargo y de salida dulce. - De inicio tuvimos la mala suerte de tratar con una persona con cero trato al cliente.. de trato grosero quien no reviso el correo para darnos la habitacion pedida de acuerdo al pago y las especificaciones( 1 er dia) El 2do dia el resto del personal se comporto a la altura como se debe , con mucha amabilidad y cortesia. Voveriamos siempre y cuando no seamos atendidos por dicha persona. Las instalaciones muy bonitas... Esto es una critica constructiva ...
- diane (6/5): - We only stayed at this hotel for about 12 hrs. The website said if arriving after 10pm to let them know. Tried to phone several times (once before we left on our trip and once from the airport at about 9:30pm) but no one answered office phone. Tried emailing about a week prior also, but no one returned email. Got to the complex at around 10:30 and it took about 1/2 hr to find anyone to let us in. They requested a $100USD cash damage deposit which was unexpected. To their credit, the unit was very clean but pull out couch had very thin mattress. Upon check out in the morning, staff had a very hard time finding the $100USD. Had to wait for about 15 min. Not sure if they were hoping we'd give up!? Eventually got deposit back. Compared to other accommodations in the area, didn't reallly seem work the $350/nt.

No wifi in the room, safe didn't work and they didn't make much of an effort to get it to work for us, we weren't allowed to access on-site laundry facilities. Place was run down with uncomfortable beds and cheap worn out furniture. And we really dislike high pressure time share sales. I'm sure there are better condos to rent in Costa Rica.
- maria (2/5): Warning...Don't stay here!! - The apartment #35 was infested with huge mega roaches. One of the cockroach was crawling on my daughter at night and bit her. I went to the office to complain but the management office could care less. Very poor hygiene I left that day.

- HanhUyen (8/5): Nice condo-style hotel, no in-room WIFI - We stayed in a 2 bedroom/ 1.5 bathroom condo in front of the pool. It is a very nice property with A/C. Staff was very nice. Not a beach front property but you can borrow beach towels from the front office and walk about 10 minutes to the beach. Really liked the neigborhood as there are small cafes, shops, and minimarts. It is a long walk to the main strip where all the restaurants are in coco, so a car will be useful. Beware, there is no daily maid service and no WIFI except in common areas! Definitely still one of the nicest accommodation in Playas del Coco and we would stay here again!
