I spoke to Brodie on reception and without fuss we were re allocated to room 108 which was excellent. All the staff were friendly and we intend to book again in May 2027 Norrie and Irene Moir (Dundee). It’s an excellent Hotel

• Charlotte (7/5): Comfortable but noisy - The bed was really comfortable. Very noisy. The rooms are not soundproof at all. Slamming doors and sounds of furniture being moved around all night (both nights). Heard snoring from neighbouring room on second night. Reported to reception the next morning and was told that “well they didn’t have a remote for that”.

• Carol (8/5): Ideal for overnight stay - Good location for Prestwick night out and reception staff very pleasant. Very clean and room was quiet so no disruptions for decent sleep. Room small and bathroom a bit tired. Bar not very atmospheric or cosy , very open and sterile with all the tables laid out for eating - could use a more sheltered area outside with outdoor heating with maybe plant wall or something similar. Hate make own toast set up at breakfast especially as someone burnt theirs and we all had to suffer smoke filled room.

We mentioned to the housekeepers who were working in the next room and they split the double and made up the twins within 5 minutes 😊 We were told if we missed breakfast we could request a takeaway continental breakfast. This was waiting for us when we checked out. All good

• robert (9/5): Another enjoyable stay at the Carlton Hotel Prestwick - Nice big, clean, and comfortable room. Good, hearty food at both breakfast and dinner. All the staff are great. Welcoming, helpful, and friendly 😊 No negatives, really. The room pricing can fluctuate up and down, so it pays to monitor before booking.

• Lynn (8/5): Lovely stay but could be improved - The rooms were lovely and clean with very comfortable beds and pillows which in my view always let a hotel down We were so surprised at how comfortable the bed was and the roll out bed too Shower was great and room was modern in its decor Good lighting Breakfast was lovely the continental and the hot one with a very decent vegetarian one It was very loud at times with weddings Paying £11 for fish tacos which were most definitely not tacos but small dry cold wraps - that is not a fish taco

Dangerous transition between bathroom and room as exposed cut tile edge half inch above carpet hight both myself and my partner tripped several times . Window ledge internally was chipped and bathroom mirror lighting did not work

We ate in restaurant, very busy we waited 1 hr between starter & main course being served despite asking twice, food eventually arrived dry & cold. We were offered a free dessert to compensate but didn’t want a dessert. Next morning at breakfast not much better, after waiting 20mins asked for someone to take our food order. Breakfast selection ok but not the best, evidence of savings being made here.

• Lugar (8/5): overall the staff were friendly and the stay was lovely will certainly return - Yes had breakfast and evening meal the food and service was amazing. the guy on reception and serving us was fantastic, he was so polite smiling and i heard him having a conversation with one of the other customers about how he just loves his job. My husband came down around 3am on the Tuesday to go outside to the car but the main entrance door was locked as he was trying to get out a car pulled up and the person apologised and opened the door, concerning for myself as i would expect the door to be locked on a night time but not for the key holder to be offsite? is this standard protocol?

• Anne (10/5): Mum and daughter trip - My daughter and I stayed here a few months ago and didnt hesitate to book the hotel when we needed to stay in prestwick again. The Carlton is so clean, comfortable and welcoming, it was like a 'home from home'. The breakfast was first class and the evening meal was delicious, the staff were attentive and friendly. We will definitely be booking to stay here again and would recommend The Carlton to others. I have nothing negative to say.

• Al47 (9/5): Great short stay Hotel - The rooms are not big but fine for a short stay. It was clean and modern with a bath not a walk in shower. Good tea making items provided and large TV. Comfortable bed and good heater in room and heated towel rail in bathroom. Logan's bar,dining room has a good atmosphere and drinks and food very good. Good cooked breakfasts available. All Staff provided good service with a smile. Stayed before and would stay again. Price was a lot higher than last year. No draw unit to store clothes in.

There was no Lorne sausage on the ' Scottish breakfast' . Thought It was expensive for a nights stay. advertised cocktails but when requested , just given normal gin and tonic .
