Guest Reviews
- Flavia (8/5): - I especially enjoy the facial and masage and the termal baths, they are private with diferent drawings of the tiles and the nature saunds wonderfull, peacefull and very very nice staff
- Padma (10/5): - The private hot springs is the highlight.Wareerek offers quiet and peace. There is a stillness to the place that is very comforting. There is nothing around resort, but there is no need to leave the resort as the whole time you would just want to either soak in the hot springs,or, enjoy the massages. The food is light, tasty and a lot to choose from. The people are very warm and accomodating. It is beautiful place and would want to visit it again.
- Stephen (10/5): - beautiful peaceful place and amazing staff
- annacR455ZS (10/5): Wonderful place - This is a wonderful place: don't hesitate to go and explore it. The staff is incredibly friendly, the accommodation spotlessly clean and the food delicious (including the packed breakfast we received due to our early departure). There is a variety of pools to enjoy and extra points for Sasa, the yoga teacher!!! Many blessings to you all.
- danylsan2023 (4/5): Jungle not so paradise - Cold water showers which is great if that’s your thing. It’s not my thing. Isolated so you’re kinda at their mercy as there isn’t anything else around. Very poor WiFi.
Pretty grounds and secluded. The rooms are nice and well appointed. It’s inexpensive I guess.
I gave it 2 stars mainly because of the unresponsive staff. An example: the ceiling fan switch is unreachable and the staff acted like we were jerks when they had to get a ladder into the room just to turn it on. Food is uninspiring.
- lynndD2285KL (10/5): Beautiful and Serene Property - This is one of the most beautiful and tranquil properties I’ve ever been to. It’s about a 1.5 hr drive from Ao Nang but so worth it. We were a group of 5 friends and hired a private driver as part of our excursion to the Tiger Cave Temple and Emerald Pool. We showed up without any reservations which was not an issue at all. We had an amazing delicious lunch at Wareerak’s restaurant then indulged in a one hour hot springs day pass and 30 minute foot massage. The property was not crowded at all so we felt like we had the hot springs all to ourselves. Their service and hospitality was 5 stars. If I could do it all again, I would skip the crazy busy Emerald Pool and book a half day pass at Wareerak. It’s so peaceful and serene surrounded by nature and beautiful grounds.
- Stefan (10/5): - Wonderful staff. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Delicious meals. Lovely hot springs.
- Nomadboys (10/5): Hot Springs in the Garden of Eden! - Imagine the Garden of Eden with hot springs, and you have a pretty good mental picture of what Wareerak is all about. We first came here four years ago for the far-too-short visit of one evening, and we promised ourselves we would return for a longer stay. We had to wait out the pandemic to return, but it was worth it! The place is still as beautiful, peaceful, simple and beguiling as it was last time. The staff are friendly and very helpful, the rooms are simple but comfortable (the pillows were especially lovely) and the newly opened Onsen baths just 5 minutes walk away (which guests can use) means there are now double the number of hot spring pools to bathe in under the forest canopy, without a care in the world. If you plan on spending just one night in Wareerak, then take our word for it: you'll promise yourself to come back again for longer. Heaven!
- charlotter980 (10/5): Great Experience! - My daughter, son-in-law and I recently experienced the three day two night Yoga Retreat Program, which I highly recommend. Wareerak felt amazing the moment we walked in – relaxing, and tranquil, exactly where I wanted to be. The program kept us busy but we had plenty of downtime between activities, which included yoga sessions, hot springs, various massages, and a Thai cooking class. Though English was basic and limited, the staff was helpful and friendly. Abundant, delicious food was provided in an open air pavilion with views of the surrounding greenery. The shaded hot spring pools were a hit, with pools available in “cold”, warm, and hot. We enjoyed all three intermittently.
Although air conditioned, the Bamboo Cottage we rented was not well-sealed, and the air could not keep up in the heat of the day when the sun was beating on the cathedral ceiling. This did not detract from our stay, and may not be a problem in units of a different style. We would all go back here in a heartbeat!
- noeliamoyas (10/5): A dream - I loved staying in Wareerak, the complex is very quiet and surrounded by nature. The staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. The cabins are very curious, they are equipped with a small refrigerator and even have a hairdryer. Also, enjoy a magnificent moment of disconnection and relaxation in its hot springs that I recommend 100%. I would repeat without a doubt!
- chrismbkk (10/5): Escape from the big cities to be surrounded by greens - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
It is very nice to have a relax time in the tropical garden. Dipping my body in the hot spring completely eases my mind. Highly recommend 1-2 hour Thai massage by Ms. Pond! The restaurant is worth enjoying dinner before leaving. #krabispa #krabihotsprings #southernthailand #amazingthailand #hotsprings #relaxinthailand #spainkrabi #spainthailand #hotspringinkrabi
- minasaltay (10/5): Paradise!!! - Omg. What a paradise!!!!!!!!
I came for the hot springs and it didn’t disappoint me at all.. I stayed in a bamboo cottage, a spacious room. The shower head was not good.. in fact it had veeeery low water pressure… sometimes the toilet didn’t work, and I somehow managed to make it work.
Otherwise than that.. I absolutely loved to sleep with sound of animals and stayed up with them.
I’m a solo traveler so I had also a hello who accompanied with me as a roommate 🤣
My intention was just zone out and be in the present, not more than that.. the internet didn’t worked good, but it was totally fine.. I had my book with me and tried to listen to animals.
I only stayed there for 3 nights, which is enough for me.
And also the wellness.. I think it’s should be upgraded/adjustment.. I got one massage and it was not successful, in fact it was the worst experience.. I think girls should know more about how to give massage. I think experienced masseur is really important. The wellness room wasn’t appealing.. it didn’t make me feel in zen mode.. neither the changing room.
All thought the staff is so kind and helpful.
The receptionist girls and the kitchen ladies - all smiling and friendly. The food was good and you can also order other meal beside the menu card. They’ll make it anyway.
I was relocated to their other hotel at Koh Lanta which is also WONDERFUL!!!! The whole crew is also wonderful here.
Thanks to Siro wery much for the accommodation in Koh Lanta.
And also Mim.. both are great receptionist.
And I also thank the manager for helping me with the relocation in Lanta.. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I definitely come back again.
I’ll give you 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Asafshani (10/5): Only spent a night but worth the ride - A real treasure!
Great place to relax in the jungle. Room are great and comfortable.
The great thing is the hot spring at night. This worth anything. Hot, medium and cold water, all clean and beautiful
The stuff here are amazing! Thanks for all your help!
- Atif (10/5): - Amazing place all around. The roads leading to the property are now paved well, minus around 200 meters of gravel road. The food, drinks, spa, and most importantly hot springs are top notch. The only thing missing is an ice bath, I hope they add that soon.
- Untamed-Shots (10/5): Amazing place. Must must must visit. - I seriously could just live there. This place is like heaven. Extremely peaceful and relaxing. The Hot Springs are definitely a must visit when you are in Krabi and this place provides the best of the best. The massages and therapies are so relaxing, its simply not enough words to express.
- ConquerorsOfSummits (10/5): Heaven on Earth - In our opinion this place is simply a Heaven on Earth. Here, we’ve found all we needed to reinvigorate our tired bodies and restless mind and kind and helpful staff team helped us in it, all the way. Really, absolutely everything here invites the guest to find his own peace of mind: endless greenery of jungles, serene vibe, the hot springs, warming the soul, authentic and palatable Thai food and, of course, the people. Virtually, It was the honor for us to make an acquaintance with such kind and warmhearted people who are taking care of this place. Namely thank to these people we stayed in Wareerak not one night as we initially planned but two nights and I would recommend everyone who comes here to stay here at least two nights. As for us, we will come back as soon as we have a chance to do so, and we do really hope it’ll happen soon!
- mangarica (8/5): A place to chil, natural so rounding. - You could see the bad times of the Covid. Few guests and of course minimal maintenance, but an idyllic place to disconnect, if you like tranquility and enjoy the magnificent natural hot spring pools this is the place. I stayed two nights and the truth was that it lacked a bit of care, but since the price was low I make up for it. The access road is a bit bumpy.
I feel happy about the owner taking care of me.
- H&J (6/5): - The property is beautiful and hot spring pools were great. We recommend you spray mosquito repellent as soon as you arrive at the property.
As most of the staff spoke or understood very little English, there should be more signs and written information for the guests. There was a welcome 30-minute free foot massage but it could hardly be called the "massage" - they just washed and wiped our feet and immediately began selling spa services. We were so tired after traveling for more than 35 hours so we kept saying "no". Then they left in less than 15 minutes. Our room had so many things wrong: safe did not lock; door to the porch did not close (this was a big problem because of so many mosquitos); ceiling light outside the door was out; foot pedal on the trash can was broken; and the portable light for walking outside at night never worked.
- ampleh (10/5): Jewel in the Jungle! - We were there for few days but during raining season but this wouldn't spoil our holiday mood. Foods was good and the stuff is very helpful. You can enjoy the hot spring in the middle of the jungle and nobody can disturb you as you will be alone in the middle of the jungle.
- CallMeReeRee (10/5): Great Solo Stay (Birthday Retreat) - Location was a bit remote but that's the beauty of the place. It is serene and peaceful. However, be warned transport from the airport to the resort is on the high side due to the distance (also partly because I was travelling solo).
Check-in was smooth and staff's brief was clear and concise. Room is very large. I stayed in the Villa Deluxe (with a double bed, on 2nd floor). Bathroom has a bath-tub but shower area is a little narrow. They provide shampoo, conditioner & bath gel along with the usual vanity. You are also given a sarong dress and disposable panties (for ladies) to use at the hot-spring and pants/shirt for men.
Hot-spring pools have 3 temperatures, Very Warm (<42 degrees), Warm & Cool (>27 degrees). There are more than 10 pools so you don't really have to worry about overcrowding.
I only wished they offer Halal food option for Muslims. Oh and the Kinaree full day spa which was supposed to be 6 hours was done in about 5 hours so I felt a little short-changed...
- OliveGoh (4/5): Wonderful environment, terrible service - For the price and the location, I had such high hopes. What a let down. So much potential but so poorly managed. The room was large but sparsely furnished. There's no where to sit except on the bed which is a mattress on a wooden platform. The addition of a daybed or sofa, a couple of couches and a coffee table would have made the room so much more functional. The balcony has a wobbly table and 2 stumps for sitting, very uncomfortable. Such a shame as it's a great place to laze around with a book and a cuppa.
Staff were present but aloof, genuine Thai hospitality was greatly lacking here. During dinner in the restaurant, everyone was fending off mosquitoes. Many establishments of this level would have incense repellent burning and a bottle of bug spray in every room. Instead, they had one lady staff going around offering a spritz from a single bottle of bug spray. She didn't even bother coming to our table (I can only deduce that it was because we weren't white). The hot spring was nice but there were tons of mosquitoes swarming around while you dip. I imagine you'd be donating blood while getting a massage. Lots of picture-perfect spots but not properly maintained. We had to forgo the inclusive massage because their schedule was full and they were off for new year's eve the next day. No apologies or compensation offered (at least an iced lemongrass drink would be a nice gesture). The restaurant had limited choice for dinner (3 types of fried rice, a green curry, a red curry and a spring roll if I remember correctly). High price, small portion and bland tasting. Bring more snacks and cup noodles!
Being in the wilderness means bugs. This is natural and expected. However, there are natural ways of keeping them at bay. No attempt is made by the establishment including keeping things clean. Taking advantage of the fact that most guests staying here are stuck with the restaurant as their only option is just greedy and uncharitable.
- RogerChengdu (6/5): Adequate, but past its glory days - We booked two rooms with our family for one night.
This hotel is clearly past its glory days as little maintenance is done. The A/C in one room was not working, but when prompted the staff immediately gave us another room. The benefit of the new rooms was also that the door closed properly resulting in few bugs compared to the other room which was full of them (this resort is in the middle of the jungle so full of mosquitoes).
On the other hand, the hotel is not very expensive and the rooms were adequate, hence my 3 stars.
The natural hot spring on site is a nice feature, but again, little maintenance has been done.
The food was quite alright and also not expensive.
Staff generally very friendly and trying to accommodate all requests.
- Jeremie_Besson (10/5): Hidden gem - Not many people know about this place and go to the busy khlong tom hotsprings and emerald poule. Although a bit expensive for thai standards it's an absolutely relaxing experience. Hot natural pools in a lush green environment.
- journeywithsteven (10/5): Great Value, Superior Treatment - Booked a night for my last night in Krabi through Agoda for a bamboo cottage. After checking in, I realised that there isn't any AC and Agoda stated otherwise. The staff were so friendly to assist me in an upgrade as the weather was humid and it was the last night of my trip where I want to feel comfortable. I was given a great price for the upgrade to the villa deluxe where I had a bath tub and a AC. I definitely recommend the villa deluxe room for the best comfort!
Coming to dinner time, the restaurant takes the last order at 8.30pm and closes at 9pm. As I was busy with some work, I missed the time and visited the restaurant at almost 9pm. They were all so kind to take my dinner order and sent it to my room. The food was delicious and well priced.
My phone carrier, dtac, was weak in Internet connectivity for my work. I was given a portable Wi-Fi router with great 4G connectivity to connect to the Internet when I told the staff about my Internet issue.
One staff, named Pim (if I didn't recall wrongly), went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable during my stay. She was so friendly and was able to converse with me in Chinese to assist me in the corners I needed help with; the room upgrade, Internet issues, arrangement of transfer to the airport and my dinner order.
Every other staff in the resort was friendly and carried a positive vibe with them! No doubt I will visit them again in the near future! I can't express my gratitude to all the staff that made my trip a great and memorable one!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Positives: Staff was great, property was spectacular.
Negitives: Very limited food selections, too many holes in walls and under doors to let lizards in and sewage smell in room.
Left 2 days early/non-refunable booking
- A unica coisa boa sao as piscinas. Nao recomendo!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very nice good - 깨끗하고 조용한 숙소다
- Stephen (10/5): Chilling at the hot springs - Quiet retreat, attentive staff
- solo traveller (6/5): Peaceful Hotel - The place is good if you really want some peace or break away from the city. Rooms are spaceous, tidy. They can make more adjustments for the food selection and make sure all the items in the menu are available. Food is okay but can be improved a little bit more. Staffs are helpful even tho communication is a bit difficult due to language barrier. Didn't get to enjoy other excursions coz they don't have alternative for solo travellers. Maybe they can add or consider being flexible to the needs of their guests.
Pittoresque. Bien pour une nuit.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Remote Hot Spring Resort - Me and my girlfriend had a great time with private Onsen hot spring.
Resort provided free foot massage before we sleep.
Several things they can improve are
1. English level of receptionist
2. Road condition to resort( last 1 km is almost wild, which some people may like)
- Joelle (10/5): Amazing relaxation with the best service and food! - We stayed 2 nights and it was absolutely amazing. I think longer would be a lot but 2 nights was perfect. The food was incredible and the grounds are beautiful. I work a nonstop job and this has been the most relaxing 2 nights of my vacation in Thailand. The hot spring pools are so nice. This is where you come to relax and rest and leave feeling rejuvenated.
- William (10/5): Secluded hot springs resort run by lovely people - We had a difficult journey up (took a turning that google recommended, had to dig out our car in the mud and rain...), but the staff were so welcoming and friendly that they made that nightmare seem less scary. The manager of the resort offered to come and get us when we couldn't move our car, but we ended up being able to get there ourselves after some help from amazingly helpful locals with headlamps and more experience of poor terrain. When we later reached the beginning of the track to the resort (starting at the ticket office for other hot pools), it was dark and we were shaken, but a lovely guy drove in front of us on his bike so we knew where to go (and gave us the confidence needed to drive through mud again!). The manager could tell that we were exhausted and hungry and so insisted that we relax, have dinner (which they cooked for us) and check in the morning instead of right that moment. The hot spa's were wonderful and really well cleaned/taken care of. We will definitely be returning to stay for longer next time!
- Reina (10/5): Relaxing Spa Retreat - highly recommended! - Our stay at Warareek was amazing! Amazing service, and hot springs are really nice - a super relaxing trip! A perfect getaway from the touristy chaos of Aonang.
