Guest Reviews
- Daniel (7/5): Clean and comfortable, but very noisy - Close enough to Crater Lake and other attractions. Very clean, spacious and comfortable beds. Very noisy from road traffic. The main door had a big gap, so all the noise came through affecting sleeping.

- Xiaocan (10/5): -
- Albert (8/5): Great place to stay while visiting Crater Lake. - Great place to stay while visiting Crater Lake National Park. Clean, quiet and comfortable with several good restaurants nearby.
- Jason (10/5): - Fast acting heater
- Catharina (10/5): - Clean room. One suggestion: use a white blanket and cover instead of the brown that doesn’t show cleanliness well.
- Stacy (10/5): - Everything was great.A/C cold grounds were beautiful!
- Nedra (8/5): - Nice mom and pop facility.
Room very clean. Traffic noise is a problem.
- Muriel (10/5): - Clean room with wood floors! Loved it.
- Richard (10/5): - Clean and comfortable
- Alyson (10/5): Cute motel like setting for a visit to Crayer Lake NP - Free parking

About 1 hour drive to Crater Lake NP

- Amy (10/5): A good place for an overnight stay. Super clean - Very clean, nicely decorated
- Linda (10/5): - Clean comfortable room and bed
- Sandra (8/5): - Clean place
- Janet (10/5): - The Maple Leaf is a classic roadside motel that has been nicely updated and maintained. The room we stayed in was very comfortable, had nice amenities, and was absolutely immaculate. There’s a nice garden area with a 2-person swing and some tables and chairs, as well as a cooking area with a propane grill. Although they’ve added a two-story addition to the original footprint, it is still a delightfully small, friendly, quiet place to be.
- Greg (10/5): - Easiest check in ever. Clean and well maintained room
- Barbara (6/5): - Clean, comfortable room. It's in a tiny town with few amenities and it would have been nice if the owner had given us an overview of the town.
- Brandon (10/5): Quaint and comfortable! Great location! - Excellent stay. The service was limited but that was ok, we just needed a quick check in and key to the room. Room was very comfortable, clean, and had AC which was an added bonus that we haven’t encountered at other motels of this size. Beds were comfortable and fridge was a nice addition. Perfect stop for a quick night’s rest before heading up to crater. One piece of advice. Park facing out, as the lot gets full/crowded at night and it can be a tight squeeze!

- Verified traveler (6/5): Just OK, not much else in town - Standard motel vibe, right off road. Bed was fine, room was clean, a/c worked fine, thankfully, as it was 100 degrees when I arrived. Mini-fridge barely worked (not cold), and no instructions on the tv so took a lot of scrolling to find things. Bright light outside door was annoying, the plastic vertical shades do not shut out light completely. For the cost (almost $300 for 2 nights), I wouldn’t stay here again.
- Lali (10/5): - Clean and cute
- Khaligh (10/5): Best Motel I have ever stayed at. - The property was awesome. It was clean, showers had nice pressure, mini fridge had a little freezer, and the people at the front desk were super nice. Pillows could be better otherwise everything else was awesome.
- Keri (8/5): Friendly & Clean - We arrived very late after a long day of travel. Although we were nearly past the check in window the front desk staff was so warm and welcoming even at the tail end of his day. Although dated the room was VERY clean and the beds were comfortable.
- Michal (8/5): - We liked the room
It was clean and pleasant. I didnt like the ,lication of the room .
- Richard (10/5): - All good. Very clean. Modest property but the owners try hard. Good value.
- Brendan (10/5): - Well run motel. Clean and the owners are very helpful.
- Rachel (6/5): Overall this motel is good for a short stay, unless you need reliable wifi. - Location was good -- on a main road, yet very quiet, which surprised me. My room was clean and good sized; it was on the ground floor yet seemed safe. Air conditioning worked well. Housekeeping staff I ran into were friendly. The wifi is terrible-- unreliable and weak connection. No breakfast of any kind, not even coffee, which I thought was stingy given the rate they charge. Office staff were curt, especially the unfriendly lady at check out.
- Emily (10/5): - Super cute and exactly what we needed. I would absolutely stay again!
- Diane (8/5): -
- Leo (6/5): Prima aan te bevelen voor één nacht. - De bedden waren prima en alles was schoon. De kamer was erg gehorig. Zowel door verkeer van buiten als van de omliggende kamers en onderburen.
- Gregg (8/5): - Was quiet and clean
- Mark (10/5): -

- Sharon (10/5): A great place to stay a night. We found a good place for dinner and the town was very nice. Right on the highway but qui - Nicely set up. Beautiful trees outside, comfortable and attractive inside. Nothing
- Clifford (10/5): - We are very comfortable here. The beds are so soft. One of the best night’s sleep I have had in a long time.
Housekeeping checked on us this morning to see if we needed anything and provided us with extra coffee,
We truely have enjoyed our stay at the Maple Leaf Motel and the town of Shady Cove.
- Dan (10/5): -
- Kristin (10/5): - This is such a cute hotel. The flowers were really pretty on the property. The room was very clean and wonderfully decorated. The staff was very nice everything was super clean. The shower had tons of pressure too!
- Pamela (10/5): - Comfortable beds. Very clean
- Eric (10/5): - This is not a five star hotel but they do a great job for what they are. The room was very clean and the staff was nice. The bathrooms were very clean and stocked. Just a very nice job for a simple place in a good location for crater lake. Everything is far and they are a place I would recommend.
- terri (10/5): - This property is clean, quiet, quaint, and just all around a very nice place. We'll definitely be back.
- Staci (6/5): - An average motel in a cute little town about an hour from Crater Lake National Park. Room was clean and updated but the bathroom was old and dated. Our A/C unit struggled to keep our room cool but it was unusually hot. The rooms are priced appropriately. The beds are comfortable.
- Doreen (10/5): - Nice bed. Quick and easy check in. Walked to the river and ate at the Mexican restaurant.
- Jana (10/5): - Very well cared for motel with kind staff. I highly recommend the Maple Leaf Motel!
- Leah (9/5): -
- Lujing (10/5): - Very beautiful place. Boutique and nice. Just one thing - there's spider web around the lamp. Except that, everything is perfect.
- Mariya (10/5): - Very helpful and friendly stuff, clean and nice motel
- Karen (9/5): Very nice motel with a comfy vibe! - Very kind and helpful front desk staff. Comfy accommodations!
- Barbara (10/5): - Super clean room and bathroom.
- Lindsey (10/5): - Perfectly sufficient stay in between Crater Lake and Redwoods! Friendly staff, quick check in, and clean/quiet room!
- Megumi (10/5): - Cute, clean, and friendly. Would definitely stay again!
- Richard (8/5): - Danny was a wonderful host and easy to interact with. No complaints whatsoever!
- Suzanne (10/5): - A lovely little motel, friendly welcome. Had no issues with cleanliness as mentioned in some reviews.
We stayed a night on the way to Crater Lake, the outside seating area looked nice, but we didn’t have time to use this.
Comfortable beds. You are on a main road, so do get traffic noise early morning.
My only gripe was no blackout curtains, but overall a great stay.
- Katherine (8/5): Good place to stay near Crater Lake National Park - We stayed at this motel one night on the way to Crater Lake. It was clean, comfortable, and perfectly fine for our needs. Shady Cove is a very small town, really just a roadside town, so we didn't see much of it, but this was a nice place to stop and sleep before heading to the national park. The location is not a fancy locale, but that wasn't a problem for uis.
- Sean (10/5): - Friendly, clean, and a great price!
- Zheng (10/5): - The room is very clean and the owner is very nice. Will definitely stay here for Crater Lake trip next time.
- Minyang (10/5): - Great experience, the room was clean and it has everything I need
- Fay (10/5): Wonderful motel - Quiet, comfortable, safe
- Vorakarn (10/5): - The room was clean, and spacious. They also had microwave, fridge, and table to sit down and eat. I Would recommended!
- Cynthia (10/5): Family time - Very clean and comfortable. We lived the swing and cherry trees.
- Terry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brenda (10/5): - Very clean and conveniently near crater lake
- Jacob (6/5): - There was a dirty towel behind the door of the bathroom and dust in the room obviously the cleaning doesn’t get very in depth
- scott (4/5): - We checked in the room, once we finally got the door open and the room was filled with house flys. We killed over 30 in the bedroom and bathroom. The front desk indicated they had a little issue but didn't know where they were coming from. A quick look out the back window, and you could see several chickens on the yard on the property. Flys were everywhere outside.
The door dead bolt fell off.
The corner of the bedroom had a big spider and web.
I would not recommend ever staying here until they clean up the property.
- Shirley (10/5): - The staff was very accommodating to our situation.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Great price, cute motel. Clean and comfortable bed.
- Marek (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (8/5): - An older property - a bit tired but kept up well. Reasonably convenient to Crater Lake NP.
- Frank (8/5): - Small river front resort town. Old refurbished motel. Think 1960’s. Feels like time travel to another era. Very adequate and updated in a modest way. Expectations: good night’s sleep. Got it!
- William (6/5): Would not stay there again. - The location was good, not too far from Crater Lake. The beds were comfortable and clean. You can hear everything in the room…neighbors, road noise, (it is a motel though right on the road). The motel owner (?) that checked us in hardly said a word, no paperwork or anything. Just handed me the key. The office is partitioned off from the rest of his living room that was extremely messy. Not a good first impression when checking in. The price was much higher than what I would have thought for this kind of a motel.
- Katharine (9/5): Superb - It was perfect for an overnight stay whilst on the road or visiting Crater Lake NP. The room was spacious, clean and quiet even though it was on the road through town. Several options for dinner in the neighborhood too.
- Paul (10/5): - Cleanliness, attention to detail, quality of the furnishings.
- Martin (8/5): - I like supporting local businesses and decided to stay here while visiting Lassen Park. You could hear some highway noise at night while in the room, but able to sleep through it.
- Brian (10/5): - This is a small family run motel. We stayed to have access to Crater Lake. The owners were very friendly and warm. We parked right in front of the room. The room was nicely decorated with hardwood floors. In addition to the A/C, there was a ceiling fan. The ceiling fan provided enough breeze that we could shut the A/C off when we slept. The room was immaculate. I liked that the shower had a sliding door as opposed to a shower curtain that you see at most hotels. I was a liitle concerned about how close the motel is to the main road, but we didnt hear any road noise in the room at all. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this motel to anyone visiting this area.
- Manka (10/5): - Clean. Quiet.
- Cindy (8/5): - I liked the area out in front where you can sit and eat or just enjoy the breeze in the early morning and evening. Maid service was very nice.
- Whitney (10/5): Home Away From Home - Located in town off the main road and close to family I came to visit. Room was clean and comfortable, and the AC was wonderful considering the hot temperatures. We will continue to stay here in the future as the owner is so kind and accommodating and found out she is a family friend. The tv remote didn't work however we didn't spend much time in the room to watch TV as we were visiting family and floating the river. Also, our stay was too short! Would have loved to stay longer.
- Mandy (8/5): - On average
- Dong (6/5): Pleasant -
- Dawn (7/5): Good - Clean and Comfy
- Denis (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (8/5): Great location and pleasant set up. Clean. - Clean, well equipped
- Paola (7/5): Good - Rooms freshly renewed Noise from the street / parking lot
- Tara (7/5): Good -
- Sandra (9/5): Superb -
- John (10/5): - was very easy check in and close to shopping and dining
- Qunfang (8/5): - No frill motel, clean and comfortable.
- Deborah (9/5): Superb -
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Great stop heading out from Crater Lake. Nice, small place to stay!
- Scott (9/5): Superb - Lovely couple who run the motel. Very comfortable beds... nice double queen layout. Continual road noise was inconvenient during waking hours. Didn't affect sleeping.
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gilad (6/5): - The room had spiders and ants. Other than that, it was fine, and I guess the options in the area are limited. We also experienced a power outage during our stay, which caused a water outage as well. That's not there fault, but did not make for a great experience.
- joseph (10/5): - Nice, well maintained property.
- Kathryn (8/5): Great place to rest up for your next adventure. - We stayed here after a day at crater lake. There is a great burger place super close. 62’s burgers and brews. It was convenient check out and check in. There is a little dog park on the property.
- Lori (10/5): I would definitely stay here again - It is a very clean and well maintained property. The staff are super friendly and take pride in their property. The room is large with nice bedding and bath towels. It was all good
- Christoph (8/5): Very good -
- Mayuri (8/5): Very good -
- joyce l (10/5): - Comfortable and clean. Check in was quick and very friendly. There aren’t many close by dining options but that didn’t change our lodging opinion which was great. Would definitely stay at Maple Leaf again
- Cynthia (10/5): - Very nice proprietors and gave us good dining recommendations. Plus we got to pick bing cherries right in front of our room! A definite plus!!! Thank you!
- Charlie (10/5): - Nice clean small town. Couple owed with great personal service. No big company hotel. Very comfortable and park right in front of your room
- Natalie (10/5): Great road side motel!! - I not a motel type person, but this place had high reviews and we needed a place to stay. I’m glad we did because it was so cute and clean!! Close by Crater Lake and staff was so accommodating to us coming in late. Great experience!!!
