• Pamshu (2/5): Horrible stay - Location Hi, I’m extremely disappointed with the condition of the hotel room. There were cockroaches and insects in the room, the bedsheets appeared unclean, and the overall hygiene was unacceptable. It was a horrible experience and made the stay very uncomfortable. I expected a clean and safe room, especially after paying for the booking. Please address this issue seriously and advise what can be done regarding compensation or refund.

• Christine (9/5): Lovely quiet pension, excellent location - A lovely room with a large balcony overlooking the rice field. The pool was excellent and food was great. Having a fridge and kettle in the room was good. The staff were very helpful and tried to resolve any issues straight away. The short cut over the river to town was good. The doors and windows didnt close fully and there was no mosquito net over the bed. The bathroom door wouldn't close or open without force and the bathroom door handle looked like it would fall off at any time.

Swimming pool was the best on our stay Beds made noise always when we moved and mattress was very uncomfortable. Food from the restaurant is less than average compair with other restaurants in Ubud.

I feel like as long as it is maintained I would definitely come back again to visit. it is so close to everything in Ubud really cant go wrong. It the water pressure in the shower could be a little more powerful that would be the only thing to improve. I am being very picky and had to really think about it.(the place is great)

• Chris (10/5): Magical stay in heart of Ubud - We were in one of the cottages facing into the valley. Gorgeous view. Felt like you were in the middle of a tropical rainforest. We had our own porch with comfortable couches to enjoy the view. This location was perfect. You could walk everywhere including to monkey forest. Access to two main streets: one in front of hotel and the other by crossing the bridge which itself was stunning. Many stairs but we loved the exercise. The pool was gorgeous. Highly recommend! Ubud and Nick’s Pension were our favourite part of the trip. My teens loved it too. Pure magic. The rooms were slightly run down but I prefer to say ‘rustic’. If a modern room is what you seek, this is not your place.

• Sheikh Yahya (8/5): I still think the location is the best. - The location is great for those who prefer walking. The hotel is by the road side and surrounded by shops, restaurants, convenient stores and spas. All the tourist attractions of Ubud ( like the markets, palace, museums, and even the monkey forest are within 1.5 km from the hotel. For those who like jogging and walking, the main trails of Ubud ( Campuhan, Sweet Orange, Subak Juwuk Manis and Kajeng rice fields and Sari Organic Trails ) are all less than 1.5 km from Nick's Pension. For the price I paid I cannot complain at all.

• Guenter (5/5): Gute Lage aber Renovierung nötig - Die Lage, mitten in Ubud und zudem mit 2 Ausgängen ist sehr angenehm. Die Zimmer benötigen dringende Renovierung. Wir waren schon öfter hier und mussten jedesmal die vollgeschwitzten Kissen bemängeln. Das Frühstück ist bescheiden.

Close to get in to the center of Ubud. The business. The room need more love and need a little more maintenance. The bed sheets, and the blankets was not as new as expecting.

• Aline (8/5): - The highlight of Nick's Pension is its location - the hotels back entrance brings you across the small river and right into the center of Ubud. Despite being so central, the rooms are very quiet at night. Another highlight is the staff, who are very helpful and easily organise transports, luggage storage and whatever else might be needed. The breakfast was another positive surprise. The pool is nice, there is a drinking water dispenser (only ambient temparture) at reception and its very scenic that there is a rice field in the middle of the hotel bungalows. Not a problem in my opinion, but the rooms are rather basic, with wet bathrooms (meaning toilet and shower in the same area) and there are no blackout curtains.

Pool liegt im Eingangsbereich und ist vom Restaurant einsehbar. Wir haben den Pool deshalb gemieden. Ich habe in einer Woche nicht einen Gast im Pool gesehen. Das Frühstück war sehr klein. Früchte (vor allem Melone) waren nicht frisch. Frühstück ist das Geld nicht wert.

• Thembeni (9/5): My 50 years holiday visit to Bali - The room had enough space, huge bathroom and a bar fridge. The tea station also with kettle to make tea. The staff gave me a cake and sang for my birthday that happened during my stay. That really meant a lot and made my day more special ❤️. They help with luggage to the room and from the room when you checkout. That was very helpful indeed 😊. One could order room service when you don't want to go to the restaurant. It felt like true honey away from home. The roof was leaking when it rained. It was not bad but it needs to be attended to. On the bed there was some small things like grain on the mattress making it uncomfortable when sleeping. But overall it was fine.

The staff was friendly, communication was a hassle at times due to the language, but they were cheerful and available. Location was great, a lively street, restaurants and mini marts nearby. The hotel itself was wonderful to stay at. There was greenery everywhere and it was pleasant to just walk through. Breakfast could have been much better

• Patricia (7/5): Hôtel avec un cadre agréable pour un court séjour - Le cadre de l’hôtel est très bien, ainsi que son emplacement. La piscine de l’hôtel était également très agréable et le restaurant de l’hôtel était bon. Le petit déjeuner est vraiment à revoir. Nous avons le choix entre plusieurs types de petits déjeuners (indonésien, européen, etc) mais les quantités sont vraiment limitées ainsi que la qualité du petit déjeuner (contrairement au restaurant). De plus, la propreté de la chambre laissait à désirer (pas très propre dans les coins, tâches sur le sol, tâches sur les draps de lits et oreillers même si on ne doute pas qu’ils ont été lavés). Il n’y avait pas non plus de sèche cheveux dans la chambre, il fallait le demander à chaque fois à l’accueil. Nous trouvons que cela n’était pas représentatif de ce que nous avions pu voir sur les photos en réservant ni pour une chambre de type « suite ».
• Vincent (10/5): Hidden Secret in Ubud. - The individual cottages and balconies were great for privacy. The gardens immaculate. The staff were all welcoming and friendly. The in house restaurant had very good value for money food and some entertainment. Pool was clean, cool and had plenty of chairs. There is an easy walk to either Bisma JL or Monkey Forrest JL to many shops, restaurants and other services. Some great rice fields walks near by. Everything was good.

• Cinderella (10/5): A PLEASANT STAY AND SERVICE - The hotel was great at giving utmost service for me and my friend. The hotel was at the center of Ubud and everything was easy with acoustic music at night while we enjoy our meal at the restaurant. They even extend help since I forgot my passport in the vault so they were able to send it to me via grab safely. I’d really appreciate what they did for me. Keep it up!!! None

I had reserved a first class room and I was given a second class room (in terms of location). I brought it to the hotel attention and nothing had been done to resolve the situation. I also complained to booking.com and nothing has been done on their side either. This is very disappointing.

• Jens Rishøj (8/5): Ophold på Nicks Pension. - Dejligt ophold, lidt slidte værelser! Hyggelige områder hvor hytter ligger, dog ærgerligt at Pool området ligger langt væk fra hytterne.
