Guest Reviews
- MEGHAN (2/5): - There was no working tv no wifi. Did not have hot water. Drain leaked. Sheets has hairs on them. There wasn’t a mini refrigerator or microwave for late night after concert to have . The Stewarts closed early.
- james (4/5): - There was a tv but no service. The message on the tv said upgrade in progress, but that was for the 2 days I was there. Nobody at the office when I arrived, so when I came back later that evening, somebody was sitting outside with my key in an envelope. Strange set up!!!
- Karlo (2/5): Worst stay imanigable. - Worst stay we could imagine. No TV for three days. No management on property called phone number on office door both nights said someone would come to room we waited over an hour nobody came called again no answer. Spoke to manager in morning they would take care of it. Called again that evening sending someone to take care of TV. Again no show. Checked out dropped keys in mailbox. Nobody available to complain to about issue. Stayed at this motel every year for 6 years. NEVER AGAIN. Also bring your own towels.
- Kayleigh (10/5): Great Stay! - It was amazing, the guy at the office was super nice. The only problem was the room smelled like cigarette smell at first.
- Lynn (2/5): - DO NOT STAY HERE! The rooms were dirty, tvs did not work and the front desk manager barely spoke to me. In fact he grabbed a key, opened the room door and pointed. When I complained about the tv not working he was rude, would not look at me and said “….. none of the tbd work”I asked for refund and he wouldn’t talk to me. I left the key, left and will be disputing this charge. Awful experience.
- Joey (10/5): - It served our purposes exactly as was needed!
- Rene (2/5): Amenities do not match whats online - How does one go about receiving money back on this motel as what is listed on this site is not true. It states - Free wifi a swimming pool etc.
However on our booking this is what we encountered.
Upon arriving there is note taped to the office door that there was No Wifi, no cable, no tv at this time. Someone should of reached out to us from the motel letting us know this. Plus online it states there is a pool. There is no such thing as it is filled in with dirt and has a few picnic tables on it.
This 1 night stay was WAY over priced for not having the amenities that were offered online ($280). Plus the toilt did not flush and they are aware of this as there was a plunger in the bath room which in all my travels I have never seen. The toilet paper had no holder and just sat on the back of the toilet. There were 2 trash bins not neither had garbage bags.
There is no way I would of paid this much for a room knowing the above.
- Ryan (6/5): - I have stayed at the Springs a couple of times over the years for it’s easy access to a walk to spac for concerts. After booking via Expedia with a no cancellation policy I was stressing after reading the super negative reviews. Had this place gone to hell after Covid ?All other hotels were price gouging do to the races for 700 a night. Look its a 2 star motel, don’t expect much. It’s a place to sleep, the room was clean, the shower pressure and temp were all good. The staff was nice. And there is a covered porch to post up on and have a cocktail or 2 . Most of these super negative reviews are probably just your classic “kathy’s” thinking they are staying at the Ritz . Also Sue’s no bull responses to these people had me cracking up . Till next time Springs
- Donald (4/5): I’ve had better stays - Very easy check in although there was a “ glitch “ in the system that sent me an email stating they couldn’t honor my stay. Room was okay, beds were awful and small, didn’t even have mattress sheets on them, just regular bed sheets. Big signs in the doors stating no WiFi and no cable, and also had big sign statingswim. at your own risk even though the pool had been filled in with gravel
- Kayla (10/5): No frills - This is definitely a no fills kind of place but it was clean quiet and location was great!
- salvador (2/5): - No wifi. No tv. No microwave. No manager after 6pm. Key drop off seems to be a mailbox in front of the office?! Not worth the $185.
- Aracely (6/5): - This was a last minute weekend trip. The location was ideal and the beds were confortable.
- Louis (4/5): - Bugs on the floor
- Kathleen (2/5): - There was no WIFI, no TV, no garbage can in the room. The pool was filed in with dirt. Other people staying there wanted their money back and go stay somewhere else, but they were told they could not get it back.
- michael (2/5): - no tv or wi no staff to help navigate thru this mess,no radio no plastic cups
- Debbie (6/5): - This place has a great location but there's a lot to be desired -- especially at the price during Saratoga season ($998 for three nights). Wifi and cable were out all three days and nights during our stay. No staff in office until 3 p.m. No housekeeping. (Former) pool was filled with gravel. Other guests were outside our room drinking until 1 a.m. -- and no manager on site to complain to. On the positive side, room was clean when we checked in.
- BFSolodar (2/5): What to do with number 2 - To begin, we stayed at this motel in July 2022. It was perfectly adequate for our needs. We decided to stay there again last week for one night as we were in Saratoga for the horse races. This time everything was totally different. Firstly, the internet and TV access was down. For $280/night that's the least one could expect. Most importantly was the condition of the toilet. It was not flushed. Somebody (presumably the housekeeping staff) left a deposit. Can you imagine anything more disgusting? Naturally there was no staff member on duty at the time. When I called the provided phone number a man answered who seemed to be impaired or under the influence of something. After explaining my discovery he yelled at me and hung up. We decided we shouldn't flush the toilet as we couldn't be sure that it would overflow. What to do? Use the bathtub for number 1 and go to McDonalds next door for number 2.
It is clear that Saratoga Springs hotels gouge their guests up to 3 times their usual rates during race days and the Springs Motel is still the cheapest deal we could find. But for $280/night is it too much to ask for a clean toilet?
- elizabeth (2/5): Springs Motel Should Close - Springs Motel in Saratoga has gone downhill dramatically. Internet and television NOT available.
- Daniel (6/5): - Property had no cable and no WI-FI. Woman working there was busting her ass cleaning but she was by herself so she is overwhelmed . Great location but that’s it .
- Joseph (2/5): - pool is gravel no wi fi no cable no TV at all. Staff was nice but the place is awful
- Brendan (2/5): - The person that checked us in did as best as she could...there is no tv...no wifi...not enough towels and soap/shampoo...one roll of toliet paper for 4 days...a lot of noise late at night on top of the building...rocks fill in the pool...etc etc...once again the lady helping us was only there from 3 to 5...this motel should not be open...it was like camping...a random man approached our car when we got there...he said dont stay there...the convenient store workers across the street shared the same sentiments...hear about it every weekend...
You cant post this place...have people put money down...and cant get out of it...there are only workers there like 2 hours a day...bizzare...but we still had a great trip...be in saratoga and not on their property...
- KATHLEEN (8/5): - Good Hotel
- Michael (2/5): AVOID AT ALL COSTS - Owner/operator not present. Did not pick up telephone when I called to say my toilet was clogged, which remained clogged all night. No internet, no TV, no help, no presence. The worst hotel/motel that I have stay at in my life and I have traveled all over the world and stayed in more than 500 hotels. Employees trashed owner verbally with words that I cannot repeat.
- Craig (4/5): - The property did not have soap in the rooms. There was nobody working at the office when I went to look for soap. They did not clean the rooms every night.
- Thomas (2/5): - Worst motel I ever stayed at. Had no WiFi, evidently no cable tv, (although a TV was in the room) refrigerator worked but leaks water directly in front of it. Avoid this place at all costs your better off camping somewhere around Saratoga. This place makes a Motel 8 look like the plaza hotel.
- Mark (2/5): - Office was never open. Sign on door said come back at 3 for checkin. Sign: no Wi-Fi. Pool filled in with stones. Later, the key was taped to the office door with our name. Room smelled musty, tv didn’t work, light in bathroom was only heat lamp. Switch didn’t work. Terrible motel management.
- michael (4/5): - The pool all though still pictured on line is filled in, no water, no swimming. There was no one in the office upon arrival room key was taped to the door. No one in the office in the morning, no extra towels one roll of tp- which ran out, no television or wifi. Pretty bad place.
- Daniel (10/5): Spring into racing - If you are staying in the hotel room during vacation then this is not for you. We are hard core horse racing fans who just need to sleep, shower and xxxx. Go spend an extra $250 a night at the hilton if you need pretty. Our check in and hotel help was very nice and helpful. Walked to/from track! We stayed last year too and this year was even better. Slept like rocks, shower temp great.
- stephen (2/5): - Did not like anything
We refused to stay there in those conditions
- AmRide (2/5): - The office was never open and they did not return phone calls When we got to the hotel, our Room keys were in an envelope taped to the office door. The room was not clean...one bed was not made, there were dirty towels all over the bathroon and there was a case of empty beer cans on the dresser. THe office never responded to our complaints. we should receive a full refund and you should remove them from your list of hotels...no one should be subject to that nonsense...especially for the money.
- Timothy (2/5): - No tv or Wi-Fi absolutely no extras pretty dingy place
- robert (4/5): - they said tv was not working because wifi was not working so we didnt have any tv for our length of stat
- Matthew J. (8/5): - The Room Was Great clean had two beds bathroom and room were good size I recommend going there check out time is 3 to 7 that's the only bad thing
- Mark (2/5): Their rating is a lie! No Service, No Amenities! - This was the worst place I've ever stayed in Saratoga Springs, NY. First, there was no one working there the entire time. I had to retrieve my key taped to the office door (real safe and secure). Secondly, there was no cable, no wifi, no tissues and not even a small garbage pail in the room. I felt lucky that toilet paper was there. I called to complain about the lack of cable and wifi and was told it was spectrum's fault. Mind you this was mostly over text messages because no one ever answered the main phone line. The person text messaging me didn't know the wifi name or password and there were no instructions for it in the room, which every room I've ever stayed out always had instructions. I complained (via text) and the response was I will contact the manager. Who was I speaking with if not a manager and again, I never received a response back my entire time there. I also blame Hotels.com for giving this horrible place such high reviews. I have notified Hotels.com that I won't' be using their service again either. I just can't believe there was something listed under the ratings or reviews about how horrendous and total lack of service there is at this place. If 0 stars was an option, that would be my rating.
- warren (4/5): - We checked in at usual business hours so someone was in the office which made it easy. The staff were pleasant and professional. However, when entering the room the fire alarm was chirping and batteries were going to take a little while. Then the remote to the TV did not work, nor did the shower head. We only stayed 2 nights and that’s because we had pets. The air conditioning worked which was a very big plus. Would not recommend and would not stay there again.
- james (2/5): - place is a dump. Stay away.
- Stephanie (6/5): - For the price - this was an excellent bargain. The water was hot and the room was clean. The air conditioner worked, there was no noise at night, we were able to bring our dog and walk into town. The young woman who checked us in was kind and friendly; a real rockstar considering some customers were rude.
- Cleo (4/5): - The staff person had the keys ready. Told WiFi and cable was rebooting. WiFi never did work. The floors were sticky and dirty. Also base molding had dust. The beds were old but firm. Air conditioning and mini refrig worked. Bathroom ceiling had hole and shower bars had rust.
I know this is a basic motel but for a minimum amount of money it could be really improved.
Also, sign for swimming and the pool has been filled in. Throw the sign away.
- P1182DJangelac (2/5): A dive of a motel - Stayed here in July for a Dave Matthew’s concert. We realize that all the hotels jack up their prices during this event but for the amount we paid, we expect at the very least a wastebasket for garbage in the room. When asked for one, the office employee stared at me like I was asking for silk sheets. We had to throw any trash we accumulated in a large trash can in front of the office.
The room also smelled of smoke and mustiness. The light fixture in the bathroom was missing a bulb which made things dull and depressing. It also reflected the lack of upkeep which is always a red flag.
When the shower didn’t work, we went to the office to complain but no one was there. When we called them, no one returned our call (still waiting). At this point, we were thoroughly disgusted and spoke to a cleaning lady in front. A guy overheard us and said we needed to pull the shower knob VERY hard for it to work. Be advised: If you don’t regularly press two hundred pound weights and are not akin to a bodybuilder, you won’t be enjoying a shower. Period.
This motel might make some big bucks in the short term for people who are desperate for a room because they’re going to an event at SPAC (which is very close by). But that’s a very poor way to run a business. For the long term, they won’t make it because people spread the word. We would have considered this same hotel when we venture to Saratoga again if it was clean and decent (no silk sheets needed) but our experience was so unpleasant, we will never stay there again unless, of course, it changes hands.
The one star is for the close proximity to SPAC.
- Warren (2/5): The Springs - There was no internet or working TV. Light out in the bathroom. Office only open for a minimal amount of time.
- Raena (2/5): - Worst ever! Dirty, not as advertised at all. Filthy, stains on the bead spreads, no sheet on the mattress, no wifi, tv did not work, smelled horrible, hair in the bathtub drain, toilet didn't flush...just horrible! The office was closed when we checked in, all night and still the next morning when we left. Our keys were taped with our name on them to the office door. When we called the number on the office door, no one answered nor returned our call. Absolutely horrible!
- David (2/5): - This hotel is disgusting. Internet and cable was out. Dirty towels hanging on back of bathroom door. No ice maker on premises. No top sheet on one of the beds. Shower was rusted and moldy.
Don’t stay here.
- Warren (2/5): Stay away - There was no tv or internet service. The manager said it was out in the building and it should be fixed that evening. The next day i was told that there was plenty to do in saratoga and i didn't need tv!?. Didn't have service the entire 3 days!! We had bath mats to use for towels until I asked for newer ones. There was not a trash can in the room nor were tjere amy tissues or extra toilet paper. The manager was only there from 3 to 7 and taped envelopes with keys on front office door. Privacy violation!!
- David (6/5): 7-22-23 - The Motel is very convenient. Parking is good. The room AC worked well so the room was comfortable. However, the TV wouldn't turn on. I'm always looking for local weather so, that was disappointing.
- Alexander (2/5): - Talk about cut backs… No one in the office day and night. The key to my room was in an envelope tape to the door. Never seen or heard of such thing in my 30 years of traveling.
- Carol (2/5): - There was nothing about the property to like. Outwardly in disrepair. Inside poorly made beds (wondered if sheets were clean), space needed a deep cleaning, drapes’ hooks broken & hanging off rod, no light in bathroom (only a heat lamp), spider web in floor corner, no TV remote & TV service down. No ice machine on premises. Nobody available in office after 5:00 pm Friday (just after we checked in). And the total to stay there was $350.00!!!!! VERY DISSATISFIED.
- MARTIN (4/5): - WE ARRIVED AT PROPERTY AT 12 30 NOT A SINGLR CAR IN PARKING LOT SIGN ON OFFICE SAID OPEN AT 3 00 GIRL SITTING IN CAR WAS THE OFFICE GIRL ROOM WAS OKAY AT BEST NO TV NO ICE BED WAS OK SHOWER WAS HOT AIR WORKED GOOD STAYED THERE MANY TIMES YEARS AGO HAS GONE WAY DOWN HILL WONT STAY THERE AGAIN
- Michael (6/5): - It is a basic place to stay. No fridge and A/C barely kept up with the heat. TV didn't work. Place was clean and staff we talked with were very pleasant and helped out. It is definitely not a resort type place but it gets the job done.
- Stacey (2/5): - We had no water to the sink for the duration of our stay. I went into this stay with very low expectations being familiar with the property- however I did expect running water. Reported to office and was told maintenance would be called, but the water issue was not fixed. The room was decently clean- but there was no garbage can and when I did finally get one there were no bags.
- Eric (10/5): - The room was clean
Easy walk to downtown(10 min)
Easy walk to concert venue (SPAC) about 30 min
- Jessica (2/5): Not worth the money. - For $800 for 2 nights, I expected hot water, a garbage can, and cable tv, and anyone to be in the office to ask questions and ask for more toilet paper because there was a quarter of a roll when we checked in.
- Michelle (2/5): - For the money they charge, you’d think they’d make improvements and bring this motel up to date of the 2020’s. Dirty bed linens…. Just plain gross! Dirty floor, broken curtains, cheap hand soap, no proper light in the bathroom, only on a timer, could hear the people walking above us. Pool filled in with gravel which looked cheaply done because you could still see the pool, and a swim with the heat would have been nice. Don’t waste your money. Other nicer motels right beside it.
- David (2/5): - I was so excited to get a last-minute room for a concert at SPAC. For a popular spot nearby to several attractions, I was shocked. When arriving at this establishment the check-in office was in a motel room. The woman who helped me was very nice but upon arriving at my room, I walked into obvious cigarette smells and overall uncleanliness. We had no hot water from either the sink or shower and no trash can. The bed sheets were filled with lint and weird stains. The cable for the television did not work and for $400 a night, it was a disgrace, never again!
- Diana (4/5): - Poorly maintained
- romaine (4/5): - Not very clean dust on floor, hair in shower. No tv service, no coffee. Place says no vacancy. And we were 1 of 4 cars there.
- Catherine (4/5): - clean, no hot water, no garbage can in room
- Peter (4/5): - 1st room lights didnt work. 2nd room no hot water and sink was just a trickle. Purely ownership lack of upkeep. Room was clean and gentleman at front desk was very nice and helped best he could despite his lack of support. Clean bed and ac worked, location all it has going for it
- Jenn (2/5): - If you want bare minimum this is your place. The girl in the office was nice, however the room did not have soap, a hairdryer or a garbage can. There was a towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door probably from a previous guest. The floors were nasty. Also the cable was out so no TV & the AC stopped working overnight. The walls are paper thin so I could clearly hear guests in the room next to mine & also guest above.
- Megan (6/5): - There wasn’t anyone in the office, our keys were taped to a window on the outside of the building, and my full first and last name was written on the envelope. Anyone could have taken our room key. There were other envelopes with other patrons names as well. The rooms didn’t have trash cans and were generally pretty dirty. “Checkout” was dropping the key into an open mailbox sitting on a table that anyone could’ve taken keys from.
- Lila (4/5): - Very limited office hours. We discovered TV & internet were out after we checked in. Room missing waste basket in bathroom; no hand soap or tissues. Floor needed sweeping.
- monica (2/5): - I am expecting a full refund. This room is so filthy. You cannot even use the shower I never felt like I was in a more worse situation..
at check-in nobody was there my name first and last was sitting on an envelope with the key that anybody could've taken at any time the people downstairs I got locked out of the room for hours because nobody for one second was ever in the office.
I have pictures the lights did work-
Absolutely horrible
- Deborah (4/5): - The room was clean. However, the tv didn't work, there weren't any toiletries nor kleenex (thankfully Market 32 is just down the street). Don't know when someone was in the office - it was closed when we got there (our key was taped to the office door) and closed when we checked out. There isn't a phone # listed in the room to contact the office.
- R4115OFkm (2/5): Sad, dirty, & gross - This was quite possibly the worst place I’ve ever stayed in. Went there on a busy weekend due to its walkability to SPAC- that and the really polite staff who checked us in are the only good things.
The room was coated in something sticky (like your shoes made a suction noise walking around). It smelled of stale smoke (nic & THC).
There were stains on the sheets & towels- ended up sleeping in sleeping bags.
No hot water or water pressure. No trashcan. No smoke detector. No iron. No soap or conditioner- there were 6 packets of shampoo.
It was sad, gross, and dirty.
- julie (2/5): - They never answsered their phone when I was trying to say I was checking in a day later even though I paid for it. They tell you to leave a message and they will call you back and then the voicemail box was full and you couldn't leave a message. They don't have a working website. Then the reviews were so horrible and scary about moldy smells. THIS MOTEL SHOULD NOT BE ON EXPEDIA. I THINK THIS HOTEL IS A SCAM. THEY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF EVERYONE NEEDING ROOMS FOR D&C SHOWS AT SPAC AND CHARGED OUTRAGIOUS RATES AND THEN WOULDN'T EVEN PICK UP THE PHONE FOR PEOPLE WITH QUESTIONS. IN THE END, I LEFT AND DROVE HOME VS. DEALING WITH THEM AND AM OUT THE MONEY.
- Kathryn (4/5): - One of the dirtiest/grossest places I have ever stayed at.
1)The sheets & towels were threadbare & stained (sheets clearly had an old blood stain & towels small brown/yellow stains on all but the washcloths) So badly we slept in our sleeping bags.
2)Both the sink & shower spit black chunky mold when turned on- after letting the shower run a bit it did run clear, however it was ice cold.
3) There was dark grey caulking all around the bathroom tub that was all lumpy and looked horrible.
4) There was no trashcan at all in the room.
5) It reeked like stale cigarettes & old marijuana smoke.
6) The smoke detector was ripped out of the ceiling and perched where the iron would be if there was one.
7) The wall mounted hair dryer was coated with sticky grey dust.
I called over 15 times to speak with the front office about my stay- not once could I get through or leave a message.
The only good thing was that the man who did end up checking us in was very polite & friendly.
I hope that he and the 2 other employees that were working are able to find employment elsewhere soon- this place was sad and dirty.
- KARL (2/5): - We spent one night here before an event at SPAC. We had low expectations and the establishment exceed them not in a good way. We got into the room, and the pillow case had a grey-brown-green discharge. The young man at the front desk (apparently the only staffer) was apologetic, but he did not have more than one spare pillow case and no top sheets. (We obviously stripped the bed and discarded the quilt.) There were no trash cans in the room. There was no WiFi because "it had not been set up for the season" according to the lone hotel staffer. There was no hot water, just lukewarm water from the broken faucet. No bar soap, just packets of shampoo and conditioner. There was a small working fridge. All of this for over $500/night! The only positive was the location, which is ready walking distance to SPAC and back into the center of town.
- paul (2/5): Bate’s motel would have been an upgrade … - Absolutely a nightmare ! Was over booked to there second site ..a hotel scheduled for demo …full of mold , rusty water , non working shower & toilet …slept in car …reporting to health officials. Have not any of our calls returned about refunds …
- Gregg (2/5): - When we arrived, there was some confusion about how many rooms I had reserved (2), and they tried to get me to pay $200 CASH(!) to correct the problem... then there was the rooms, no working smoke detectors, no bath towels, NO RUNNING WATER IN THE BATH!!!, no TV, floors were dirty, art that was supposed to be hanging on the walls was laying on the floor, hole in the wall behind the door, and more.
- jesse (6/5): - For the price paid. Was unable to wach the TV. No garbage cans in room to throw garbage out. Charis were stained..No hand soap or any kind of soaps available..Will more than likely pick another place to stay inte future.
- ralphi2021 (2/5): FILTHY PLACE - What a DUMP FILTHY O owner on some type of drug if not he should be The good reviews have to be written by his cronies DO NOT STAY THERE Photos are from previous owner who was great , place was clean & friendly Went there for 10 years loved it NOW IT SHOUL D BURN WITH NO ONE PRESENT Maybe that will be an improvement . At least it will disinfect
- fredfZ1258CU (2/5): Terrible - The room was the musty and dirty. No hand soap in the room . I went to the front desk to ask for soap and the manager was disrespectful and gave me no soap. This lead to the manager yelling at me. bad experience!
- Daniel (2/5): - Upon check in, there was an envelope with my name on it taped to the office door containing a key to my room. I was asked by a lady if I needed help. I asked her where room 20 was and she brought me to room 20…. It so happens that she was folding laundry in that room and asked to us to give her a few minutes to finish. The room was dirty and smelled of cigarette smoke, I can only assume it was from the lady who was folding Landry in the room I was supposed to be checking into. Overall terrible experience we couldn’t even stay in the room because of the smell
- Gerrit (2/5): - Being Parent's Weekend at Skidmore rooms were in short supply and I saw a decent 3.5 star review and booked it being a fan of motels, and this place is walking distance to downtown Saratoga. Unfortunately that 3.5 stars doesn't match with written reviews. It took more than 24 hours to get a call back confirming a key would be taped to the office door after 7PM. We arrived at 7:30PM Friday night.. The office is not lit up and not connected to the two motel buildings so it took some investigating to find our key. Upon opening the room it smelled a bit of stale smoke. My wife had read the written reviews of the place which were horrible. She checked the sheets for bedbugs - no bedbugs but dirt and pubic hair in both! Gross. And since the office is closed and no staff onsite to fix the beds we were resigned to buy sheets, a blanket, and two pillows so at least we could get some rest. When my wife mentioned the dirty sheets to someone who worked there the next afternoon he berated her, said we wouldn't get a refund, and then barked at this overworked woman who was the single chambermaid for the property. He told my wife she could "deal with the Russians" if she wanted a refund. Someone later came up to apologize to us on Sunday as we were leaving but never mentioned a refund or anything. Looks like an investor bought this property and plans to build apartments letting what could be a nice motel rot from within. Avoid at all costs and it should be removed from Expedia's listings!!!
- Rhonda (4/5): Need a good overhaul. - When you first opened the door into room, it didn't look to bad. Looked like they put new floors in. But as you walked in the smell was terrible. It smelt like an old musty cellar and cigarettes. As I further inspected room, stains on comforter, walls needed painting and old metal tub with black mold on calking, the shower head was full off black mold and around bathroom baseboards some black mold. When I went to bed that night, my face facing the night stand had a smell of puke coming from it. I guess you get what you pay for ($109.) Only good thing, close to downtown and casino. Never did see owner. Keys were taped to office door with our names on it.
- lucretia (8/5): Family Getaway - The Springs Motel is located in walking distance to a lot of places; Duo Restaurant, Bookmakers, The Thirsty Owl.
Staff are friendly, the rooms are being updated...adequate for a one night stay.
- 775lizb (2/5): FILTHY SHEETS WITH STAINS AND PUBIC HAIR ON THEM. - NEGATIVE 1000! STAY AWAY. FILTHY. ARRIVED TO DIRTY SHEETS WITH STAINS AND PUBIC HAIR ON THEM. I had to go buy bedding and when I discussed this with Bill he threatened me! I asked who the owner of the property was and he said “The Russians! You wanna deal with the Russians?!” He then said “what do you expect for $100 - go stay at the crack hotel across the street”. I wish I was kidding but I am not. I am complaining to the health department on Monday.
- Eleanor (6/5): - It was a late night arrival / early morning departure. We were there for less that 10 hours. It's adequate for a mid-road trip overnight.
- Lawrence (4/5): - I stayed here a number of times a decade ago and was looking forward to my return. But, in the meantime, their policy has been to strip down all the amenities. It's basically a clean room, bed and shower (& TV). There is no microwave, mini-fridge, alarm clock, soap (they had these small packets of shampoo which needed scissors to open), no plug in sink, empty kleenex holder -- now really. BTW, the pictures showing a pool are old, it's been filled in.
- HE (2/5): - Stay away from this motel. I was wake up by a couple at 3am and they told me that they have the key of the same room, I never had the experience of any hotel to give the same room out twice:-(
My room is really dirty, the sheet has hairs, and the AC is not working. By the way, The office is closed at 7pm and you can only call the number posted on the office door if you have any issues.
- BRIAN (8/5): - Clean simple motel style place that was easy walking distance to center areas of town
- Marcia (8/5): - The room was relatively clean except the floors which made my socks black. But everything else was very clean. Bring your own toiletries.
However the desk attendant was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.
- Christine (10/5): Second visit - Wonderful service. Walking distance to downtown Saratoga Springs. Feel safe traveling solo.
- Robert (2/5): - You should not rent this place..was filthy..no soap to was with.no towels..floor was filthy dust all over everything..people in the next room were drunk and yelled and fought all night..we slept with our clothes on for fear of or skin touching anything..was not worth the money we paid..in fact you couldn't pay me enough to stay there again... would like a partial or full refund..!!
- Mark (6/5): - I like where it was located.
I did not like that it could have been kept up better.
- Brent (10/5): - It's not as fancy as some of the other hotels in town, but if you're just looking for a good place to crash for the night, this Hotel will do!
- John (10/5): - The manger there larry was excellent. I left a very expensive hat there & when i came back from the track he had it right there for me
- Philip (6/5): - It was clean. No dirty carpets. Had vinyl flooring.
No bar or hand soap in room.
Not enough towels for 2 people for a 2 day stay.
- edward (6/5): - office was always locked
- Paul (2/5): - I was overbooked and I had to take the property manager down the street to another motel. This motel appeared to be empty accept for a few rooms that they were renting. Bait and switch.
- Andy (8/5): - For the price location and a good nights rest it was adequate and better than other nearby motels we have stayed in
- Tara (2/5): Unfortunately terrible - Landed at 1am after calling all day and couldn’t get through. Landed to a key tapped on door and a room that was destroyed had been used and never cleaned 1am in Saratoga too late to get another room and exhausted horrible to walk in to. Called and called no way to get any help or get a clean room. And I mean trash all over beds used and unmade dirty towels and trash on floor just ugh. Photo is what I walked into 😩
- Donna (10/5): - Not so great had no towels in the room
- Thomas (10/5): - Billy was totally accommodating he even gave me a lift to the race track!!!!
Awesome
- Beth (6/5): - The location was nice. There was no hand soap and we were only provided one roll of toilet paper.
- Danielle (10/5): Uncle Larry the true hero - I could not be more pleased with my stay, I’ve never felt more at home. If I could leave 7 stars I would. Uncle Larry is a true a hero, he puts in an honest days worth of work, and he’s on the eyes too. Honestly tho the location for price is a real deal. Uncle Larry goes above and beyond for the folks. He’s the only decent person around this area tbh
- DONALD (2/5): - office closed when we arrived, had to call , person who answered was RUDE said he was getting coffee and would be there in 15 minuets, web site showed swimming pool , it was 90 degrees outside and would have enjoyed the pool listed on website ,except it was filled in with DIRT.
Bathroom lite and 1 wall lite didnt work.
Would not recommend this motel to anyone
- Sonia (10/5): Worth it - Larry was extremely helpful!!! Would stay again
- Kathy (6/5): - Very shady; no phone in room to call office about lack of towels and soap; no ice provided on premises- was told to go buy it across the street; no coffee pot in room or coffee available on premises; drunken loud parties; would never return
- Frances (6/5): - I reserved a downstairs room due to physical issue and also the need to bring in items from the car that couldn't be left overnight. Got there after ofc closed. The key left for me was for UPSTAIRS. No one answered the number I was told to call if there was any issues upon arrival. They probably knew why I was calling and never returned my call. The curtains in the room were falling off the rod, a dresser drawer was broken and hanging, there was no soap, no ice available, TV didn’t work. I won’t say what our nick name for the place is!! Needless to say we will never stay there again and have warned our friends and family.
- Kathryn (8/5): Great Value - Basic, no frills motel but very clean room and well kept grounds. Great location, walk to restaurants and downtown area. only about a mile to the track. No coffee available but mcdonalds next door. Great value!
